Too bad there aren't more stars available. Our microwave quit working last week. I used Yelp to find an electrician and submitted a request to a company listed as responding within 10 minutes. As of this morning, I had heard nothing so back to the search.
In less than 5 minutes after submitting my request via Yelp, Darring reached out for more info. Within 10 minutes, we had agreed Max Electrical would do the job. I expected someone tomorrow or Thursday since it was not an emergency. Just a few hours later, the job was complete, the microwave was working, and a potential fire hazard was resolved.
Jesse and his team were very professional and explained what they were checking and doing to resolve the issue.
We've already got another project with Max Electrical in the pipeline. I feel confident we will not be disappointed.
Super fast, same-day service, affordable, really nice, professional. That's it really!

Had an issue with the AC and the lights inside tripping the breaker. They actually were not able to fix the AC issue as it ended up being much more complicated to the point where we are likely replacing it (lights got fixed) but they really went the extra mile to try to help me. Even though they didn't solve my issue I would still use them for any electrical issues I have in the future. So much better than other electricians I have tried in the past that try to urge you into replacing things that are not broken.
I had a hallway recessed ceiling light that went out and it wouldn't work anymore. Sounds minor like I could ignore it, but it was in a place where I really relied on it. Max Electrical came out the next day after I talked with them (even though I told them I was flexible) and fixed it in 10 minutes. And the two people who came out were so nice and professional. I would definitely use them again. The only downside is the cost was $125. I think the price could have been lower, but ???, oh well.
We had an emergency situation today and Max Electrical Services was very responsive and were able to come help us within an hour or so of our first contact. Considering the timing, quality of communication and service, cost was reasonable and well worth it. Max Electrical Services will be my go to company for any future electrical services needs.

Darin installed a 50 amp circuit and an outlet for a car charger in my garage a couple of years ago. The plug went bad last week and Darin fixed it under warranty even though it was no fault of his. He's super responsive and has great integrity. Highly recommend!

I needed a new outlet added and a bunch of GFCI which kept randomly triggering (with nothing plugged in) replaced. It was a pleasure working with Max Electrical Services, Chris was awesome and got the work done quickly and cleaned everything up. Prices were very good. I will use them for any future work.

Another stellar job by the guys at Max. We had a fast turnaround small job and they were able to accommodate and came significantly under price compared to others we got quotes from. These are my go to electricians and they should be yours too!
We had Max Electrical Services set up a 240v line to a got tub and couldn't be happier. Evan was able to come to our house the day I called and was super helpful in explaining everything involved in the quote and covering different options. He then wrote up the quote on site. When scheduling the work, they were booked for weeks, but offered to split the work over a few afternoons between other jobs. They worked us in so we could have the hot tub available for the weekend. The installers were friendly, patient, and answered all our questions. The work looks great and the price was good too. Highly recommended!

We've used Max Electrical Services on two different projects and have been very happy with all their work. Darin is fantastic and has done a great job running and managing his business. We had a big project of installing can lights and switching out ceiling fans. DJ and crew stayed the whole day and got it all done. They were friendly and efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. We will definitely use them again for our next electrical project.
Hands down the best in home maintenance experience ever. I had a light switch i wanted to put a dimmer on and my years of nursing did not prepare me for the complexity that is new house wiring! They were responsive, fast, knowledgeable and nice and had it fixed in less than an hour. Even had the new dimmer switch in the truck since the cheap ones i bought fried in my venture into electricity . Thank you so much and i will never call another electrician besides you again! Or attempt my wiring ...

Absolutely top notch crew!! This review is long over due as I've worked with Darin and his team on multiple projects and every time has been the best experience. After a recent experience with a contractor that was sub par at best, I had to have Darin's team back out. Another 10 star experience and it continues to reinforce the idea, when you find great people that do great work- hold on to em!! I'll continue to be a repeat customer!! I am a huge fan of Max Electrical Services and have used them for a variety of services at my home over the past two years.
I have had them run new power outlets for my wall mounted TVs as well as install new network cable connections. I also had them install eight security cameras around the exterior of my home. Yesterday, I had them install a new surge protector system on my main power breaker box just in case we have a lightning strike.
Darin has been super quick to answer my questions and get me scheduled and DJ and the installer team have been amazing to work with! Their prices are very fair and I have referred a few of my friends to them who all had a great experience! They make sure to clean up after they finish their work and they are very knowledgeable and experienced. I highly recommend Max Electrical Services and look forward to working with them again in the future.

I hired Max Electric to do some work in my home and I was very pleased with their level of professionalism, curtesy, and dedication to their customers. Recently I called them for some advise about electrical outages at my house and instead of taking advantage of the situation and trying to make a quick buck they provided a alternative solution that didn't cost me money. The only thing that they cared about was treating me with integrity.

Reached out on a weekend and needed a Monday morning appt to diagnose and repair whatever was causing our breaker to blow (we had already tried replacing the breaker) and leaving us with no lights in the upstairs of our guest house with guests coming Monday afternoon. Max Electrical arrived on time, electrician was friendly, fast, and fee was, IMO, totally reasonable. Will definitely use them again and am so happy to now have a company in my contacts that I feel I can count on!
The technicians were very professional and polite and helped fix a couple of fans and a bathroom light switch. There was a minor issue but the owner Darin was able to help out immediately. I wish more people and businesses had Darin's level of integrity and professionalism. I highly recommend them!
Awesome experience. Fuse needed to be replaced so I emailed Darin. Immediate response and set up an appointment the next morning. Came exactly on time and resolved the issue in a very professional manner. Was not selling, but suggested a surge protector for the house which could prevent the same issue from happening and installed that as well on the spot, all at a very reasonable price.
We actually called a different electrician prior to Max, with 5 star reviews on yelp. They said they would come the next day, never called or showed. Called two days later, said they would get back to me. Ghosted me again. It's always hard to find good contractors. Max is a gem. Highly rec

Im so glad I've found Darin and Max Electrical! He answered quickly, came to our house quickly and had the very strange older house wiring/GFCI problem figured out, explained and fixed in no time. He also took the time to talk me through questions I had about future electrical upgrades we're wanting. I'm excited to have found an electrician I trust. He was super nice and his price was great, too. Highly recommend!

The technician (DJ) that came out was professional, courteous and respectful. He wore a mask and put on booties when inside my house.
He first listened carefully to my description of the electrical issue and was able to quickly zero in on the problem. Explained everything he was doing.
He was knowledgeable and efficient... was able to resolve my issue in a very reasonable amount of time.
I would definitely recommend them.

Very different experience this time. Requested a quote for a doorbell installation. Very terse responses. Clearly not interested in the job. Disappointing after my previous encounter, so it's hard to let my original review stand. I'll go elsewhere for my electrical needs.
Stellar craftmanship, timing, professionalism. My second time working with this team -- their quotes are transparent and fair. The work is high quality. I will absolutely hire them again.
Came fast and troubleshooted a problem that wasn't what I thought it was. Had all the parts they needed and fixed it quickly. Helped us out with a couple other issues too. Wore masks the whole time and were very friendly. Will call again for sure if needed in the future.
These guys are amazing! Darin called me back quickly after I left a message. I was desperate for someone to come out the same day for a new water heater install where the plumber was unsure of how safe the aluminum wiring was for the connection. I called at least 5 other electricians, but Max Electrical were the only ones to offer to come out and look at my water heater connection within an hour.
They evaluated it and said they could do what was needed for a couple hundred, which I was thrilled about because I was already spending so much money on the water heater installation and needed to be able to turn it on. They got the job completed within a few hours, professionally and reasonably while explaining everything to me.
Darin even swung by my place before the original ETA to talk to the plumber, see what was needed and leave equipment for his crew coming later. I can't recommend them enough! Now we have hot showers again and I am incredibly thankful. Thanks to DJ and Chris, too!

Right now, electricians are in demand. I called one company, who said they were booked out several months in advance, to the point where they had stopped scheduling new work. I then left a message for Max Electrical. I got a text back asking for more information and then got a quote. Fortunately, they had a cancellation, and they were able to squeeze me in the same day that I called! DJ stayed until almost 7:00 PM to complete the work. The kept me posted on the progress during the process. Highly recomended.
The Max Electrical team is incredible! I probably had 6 different projects to complete around the house and they completed all of them in a few hours like the freaking pro's they are. They offered suggestions, made changes to the original plans to fit my house best and cleaned up afterwards. Cannot wait to have them back to finish up the rest of the house. DJ & team (sorry I don't remember all your names!), thank you! Stoked.

I was having electrical issues at my house and my oven and stovetop wasn't getting power. I called Darin and he was able to schedule me for the next morning. He showed up early, diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it in less than an hour. His prices are extremely competitive compared to other electricians I talked to. He was straightforward and honest about what was wrong and didn't try to upsell me on fixing anything else besides my immediate issue. I will call them back for any future electrical issues. I recommend you give them a call if you need an electrician.

I've now used Max Electrical twice. They're super responsive, ON TIME, and do great work. We had a big project and a small project. They were priced better than the other bids I got on the big job, and I'm very happy we chose Max Electrical for it. What was also cool is that they were just as responsive and timely to do work for our small job as our big job.
Darin is great to deal/work with, and is just very nice/competent/professional. I've tried a few electricians in the past, and Max Electrical is clearly the best. I now have our go-to folks that I'll definitely call again for electrical work..
This is the second time I've used Max Electrical Services for 2 different places and both times, they have been excellent!
Not only is the quality of work fantastic, they are personable, reliable, and totally love dogs so it was easy to have the dog here while they worked. :)

Take note other companies, this is how it's done. 9:30am, I submitted a request for quote to multiple companies on Yelp, most said they would be able to help on Monday. By 10:00am, I'd made contact with Max Electrical. By 10:30am, exactly as he'd said, he arrived at my place. How can this be? A worker who says what he does and does what he says? Already a 5 star experience, and he hadn't even begun work!
Now gets to the juicy part--he gave a quote of what the visit would cost based on my explanation of what went on. By 11:00am (just 30 minutes after his arrival), he'd done the work, I was up and running back to new, and get this--the estimate matched what he'd quoted!
As I told him, I've had several small jobs that require the need of straight forward help, and there is a lot of money to be made for someone who can simply follow through in this line of business. And, I hope it all goes to Max Electrical, because it's so rare to find good service anymore.

Have used Max Electrical Services twice now for lighting issues around our house and I highly recommend them. Their team was prompt, friendly, knowledgable and efficient. They turned our dark, depressing room into a beautifully lit space. I appreciate the high quality of work they do for a reasonable price.
Darin and his crew came out and made quick work of some electrical work I needed done for an HVAC modification. Crew was on time, work was neat, and fairly priced. Would definitely use in the future and recommend to friends or family.
They scheduled me within a few days, but due to a cancellation, they got to me faster. They were fast and efficient (the tasks were straightforward, though). The guy replacing the light switch answered my questions, and changed procedures slightly when I requested them. (For example, I wanted connections to the switch's side screws instead of the back screws, so I could see and test them more easily in the future.) Reasonable price. They wore masks (though one guy needed to cover his nose more frequently, but he was pretty much outside). I'd go with them again.
This is my second time using their services and I can honestly say that they're the best in Austin. The team is on time, professional, and great at what they do. Pricing is very reasonable and I'm so happy with the results.

After having one electrician never show, I proceeded to call 7 electricians...earliest appt was 2.5 weeks out. Darin called me back, and was able to identify my issue over the phone (just from a photo!), and come right out and fix it immediately (might have just been lucky timing, but he gets credit for it either way). I was impressed by his expertise and professionalism. Also, I was very happy with his ability to explain the issue and help me understand the system better. As a Realtor, I value great help and will be referring all clients to him in the future.

I've used Max for many different electrical repairs and remodels. He's reliable, fast and always done good work.
