Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Delmarva Plumbing Service
Its hard to find an honest plumber, so when I had an issue at my house, I was concerned.  Their price was fair and I got an appointment for the same day while other local plumbers had me wait for days.  Kevin was awesome, he explained the process and  was professional.  He didn't just throw out any number, he explained the procedure and had written documents which justified his assessment.  They stand behind their work 100%.  The receptionist was friendly and called back to check up the on us after the job was completed.  I felt so satisfied with their work that, i signed up my office as well.  Excellent service all around.  Thank You !!!  A++++++++++++++++

Bob bell plumbing Plumbing Service
I've been looking for an honest old-fashioned plumber who does the job you want done.
Bob's knowledge of plumbing exceeds anything I could've ever expected from a plumber at his rates. The savings that I experience with Bob allowed me to get a little extra work done without going over budget and I would believe anyone would appreciate that.
If you need a plumber from simple to sophisticated this is the guy you need!

S & J Plumbing Plumbing Service
Jason is a pleasure to work with-- I had called him after getting his coupon in the money mailer bc I was afraid that I had a major problem with my toilet.  He was on time, showed me his plumbing license, and spent a lot of time with me, Answering all of my questions.  Luckily, the problem wasn't a problem after all.   He is also not the kind of plumber whose gonna charge you an arm and a leg, which I really respect and appreciate in this day and age. Now I know in the future, who to call, if and when there is a problem! He also rescues dogs and other animals, which to me, is a win win. I would recommend him to anyone.

Good Plumbing Htg & A C Plumbing Service
Called several plumbing companies and these guys were the cheapest.  I mean cheapest by hundreds of dollars.  I called after deciding to go with Good and they came out the same day to install a warranty water heater for us.  The estimate time I got was 3 hrs. it took them a little over 1 hr!!!  The gentlemen who came were friendly, and courteous.  When they left, I honestly couldn't even tell they were in my basement, that's how clean they left everything.  Any future plumbing needs I will call these guys.  Fantastic!

Lucas Ltd Plumbing Service
This was a service call that shows why plumbers have the reputation they have.  I had a toilet that needed repair.  I replaced everything but could not get everything back together correctly as the inflow tube needed to be changed.  I had used this plumber before and called them since I had guests coming and needed someone quickly.  Lesson 1: Just because they come quickly, doesn't mean you should use them.  The plumber, who charged $160/hour, said he had to take everything apart and put it back together.  He did and it still leaked.  He said there was no crack in the tank but he didn't know why it leaked and I could spend another $160 and try to find the leak or get a new toilet.  $750 later, I had a new toilet, even though there seemed to be no reason that he couldn't put everything together so it didn't leak.  Lesson 2:  Don't call this plumber if you need to get something done right away.  Basically, a simple toilet repair turned into a major project all because this high priced plumber couldn't figure out why the tank was leaking out the bottom despite his claim that he couldn't find any crack in the tank!

Palmerio Plumbing Plumbing Service
Had a drain issue and without taking anything apart or inspecting the pipes, other than looking at them, the employee they sent said they'd have to run all new piping. Had a second opinion and what they quoted me at over 1,500 ended up only costing $85. Because it only needed a simple cleaning. Had other issues also but reached out to the owner to make him aware. Completely blew them off and accused me of lying. Many better options out there.

Bukowski Plumbing Plumbing Service
My sump pump motor broke and Bukowski came right out and replaced it.  They were not that ones who installed it origionally, but they came and put a new one in and it works great.  Then I called them back (Robert), and had them run a new line for me (pvc) to redirect the water from the sump pit into another location.  They work fast, and its quality.  Very happy I met them and will call them back in the future!

Walsh & Son Plumbing Service
Great experience with Joe Walsh. Our hot water heater needed to be replaced and I turned to Yelp for help since my longtime plumber had retired. Joe responded to my request for a quote super fast. I wanted a certain size tank and he found it for me. Joe's price was very fair and he was able to get me on the schedule fast. He was willing to do the job same day but we agreed to do it today, after Christmas and the weekend. However, Joe called me on Christmas Eve to say that he had gotten the tank from his supplier so if disaster struck over the weekend, he could be at our house and help us asap. I thought that was above and beyond and was very impressed by the level of customer care! Fortunately we made it through the weekend fine. I really didn't want to bother Joe on a holiday. Now for the job itself: Joe arrived when he said he would, and his work was excellent. We also had a couple of other minor items that we added to the list for him to look at, which he did and knew exactly what to do. Overall great experience and we've found our new plumber. The other bonus is that Joe is an independent licensed professional as opposed to being part of a commercial org, so the level of attention is more personalized. Highly recommend!!!!

Pafumi Services Plumbing Service
As luck would have it, our water heater sprang a leak the day before our house was scheduled to go up for sale. Pafumi replaced it on very short notice; we called them in the morning, explained that we were moving out and had just listed the house, and they came out a couple of hours later. The workers were pleasant, professional and did a good job. We knew their rate was higher than most, but since we were ready to leave the state we felt the quick response made it a fair trade-off.  BUT .... cut to 6 weeks later: we've moved to No. Carolina, have a buyer for the house, and closing is a week away. Our realtor meets the certificate of occupancy inspector at the house and at some point he asks about the permit on that new water heater. She calls us to inquire about it, and I'm dumbstruck. I called Pafumi to ask if they'd applied for a permit, and the lady says indignantly, OH no, we don't do that. That's on you, that's on the homeowner. I said no one had even suggested to us that we'd need to apply for a permit after the installation, and asked if they normally mention that detail to their customers. She said, again with what sounded like a lot of attitude, I know I don't, and I don't think my techs do either. Like I said, that's on YOU! I suggested that they might want to mention it in the future, since water heater permits/inspections are evidently required, and she replied Most people don't want to bother with them anyway. Huh? I don't WANT to bother with it, or to pay taxes either, for that matter, but it's the law! And now we're living 10 hours away and can't sell our house without that missing permit. I explained the situation to her and she did get somewhat more helpful at that point. She offered to ask Mr Pafumi to fill out the paperwork, but said it wouldn't be till 'at least Monday' (it was Friday afternoon). The clock was counting down on settlement, so I called the permit office to see if I could do anything to get the process underway but they told me that until the contractor fills out 'the jacket', there's nothing the homeowner can do. So obviously even if we'd known about the need for a permit, Pafumi had to initiate the process. The whole mess would've resulted in a postponed closing if it wasn't for our incredibly resourceful realtor, Lynn Stambaugh at Cardinal Realty, who met Pafumi at their office door first thing Monday morning, hand-carried the application to the W. Deptford code office, begged/pestered/cajoled and somehow got it processed, paid for, inspected and approved in record time, and then coaxed the CO inspector back to the house to reinspect on the very last business day before settlement. Of course the water heater did pass inspection; like I said, the workers had done a good job and they did it quickly. Hence the two stars here instead of one, which is what I feel the company really earned by playing dumb about the need for permits, and adding a ton of down-to-the-wire tension to what was already a stressful situation.

Horizon Services Plumbing Service
Appears Horizon can pay to remove negative reviews: My review was removed but I will keep posting it:

I called Horizon Services because my heater ceased working, the tech should up early so I was happy about that. The tech checked the unit and went over it with his volt meter. He determined the transformer was bad and needed to be replaced. I was quoted 614$ for them to replace the part plus the service charge. If I signed up for the Service Partner plan they would waive the Service charge and the cost to replace the transformer would only cost 513$ + 99 for the Service Partner Plan. At this point it was a friday and no one else could make it out till the following day or later so I decided to go ahead and have them replace the transformer.
The transformer was quickly replaced and wired in, the tech switched the circuit breaker on (the one in the air exchanger) and everything fired up. At that time we noticed a crackle noise coming from the circuit breaker. The tech then stated I needed to get that replaced as well, it was going to cost another 600$ for the heater kit. At that time I declined the service as I was going to get my normal HVAC guy to look into when he got back into town. So I paid and the tech left. Later I decided to look up the part the tech put in place. To my surprise the part can be purchased from my local hardware store for $31. So I Called to find out about the price and to determine what part of the service cost so much. I finally heard back from a manager the following monday and she stated its flat rate pricing and it is non-negotiable, I was told I would get $99 back for the service partner plan.
So I wasnt really happy but was going to be happy with getting $99 back and learning a life lesson. Well I get home Monday night and the heater was off again. I thought maybe I tripped the circuit breaker on the transformer the tech installed, but that was fine. I checked the breaker that we identified as being bad and found if I pushed it the unit kicked on, when I let go it kicked off. So I was able to push it a certain way and the heater would kick on and stay on, but this got me thinking, maybe the transformer wasnt bad to begin with. So I grabbed the old transformer and my volt meter and started testing it. Everything tested fine, so I Called my HVAC guy and he agreed with my findings. I called a local electrician and he also agreed with my findings.
So at this time I ordered the defective circuit breaker replacement and placed a call into Horizon to talk to a manager again.
On Friday I still have not heard back from Horizon and my circuit breaker came in so I went down and wired in the new breaker and also reconnected the old transformer, the one they said was bad and charged 564.50$ to replace. Turned the main breaker back on and everything is working fine. So not only did they misdiagnose the problem, they replaced the wrong part and did not fix the original problem. I Called Horizon back Friday night only to be told there are not managers at night or on the weekend and then the girl answering the phone refused to give me her name and hung up on me.

Also their tech stole my screwdriver which has NOT been returned to me

2/18/14 - Horizon finally got back to me and is giving me a full refund.

Did work for us two years ago. Horrible horrible work. Guy did not know what he was doing. Said he come back to fix the problem never did. Billed us and when we called company to get them to finish the job they stopped taking our calls. Then sent us to collections. Never had us sign off in the job or give us a receipt.

If this is affordable plumbing with mike, then they are the best.  i have rehabbed tons of houses and worked with dozens of plumbers, and they are the best.  their prices are good.  they are professional.  and they communicate in a clear manner.

mike is a busy owner, what do you expect with their service and prices . . . . but he always communicated with me in a timely manner and always performed what he said he was going to do.

all his workers are very good.  will continue to use them in the future.

Mr. D's Drain Cleaning & Plumbing Service Plumbing Service
Customer Service with Carrie an employee at Mr. D's plumbing, very disrespectful on phone Ithat I wanted to see her and owner in person.

Carrie, Mtr. Dd representative told me to Google another company after waiting a month for Mr. D's and being told I was on a call back list.  Also stated they were only doing emergencies with hot water tanks. I had to shut off all my water and leave my home  due to plumbin egmergency.

I was recommended Mr. D's Plumbing during an emergency plumbing situation 2 weeks before Christmas, it is now almost 2 weeks after the New year and I am informed they are too busy.  Really. I have been out of my home during this process they sent out a drain cleaner team and I specifically informed the dispatch I required more service than that. I called the company after the Plumber did not come to my home to confirm they had my correct plumbing issues. That is when I was informed o was on a call back list. After following up I was then informed they were too busy.

Dispatch Tony, she was nice. I wanted to speak with the owner Mike, that never happened.

First time completing a Yelp review because I am that upset.
Mr. Ds,  Plumbing  was recommended by a family member who received their service through a  high dollar grant from City of Philadelphia.
I have insurance and paying cash out of pocket and get treated awful.

Basically I should have been informed from the beginning they were not going to service my home

If your looking for a reliable Plumber Service, Google another company before you get string along and delayed.

I was really shocked when I was told to Google another company by Mr. D's rep,  but oh well.

JJust sharing my experience.
Google another company so you can avoid nonsense and stress.
