We just moved into our very first home and panicked when our thermostat went blank. Joe arrived promptly and discovered that the mysterious emergency switch in our basement stairwell actually turns off the entire HVAC system, including the thermostat. Yikes for us, but easy for him to get the job done.

He serviced our system and gave us an estimate on a replacement for the 22-year-old AC unit. We bought our own Google Learning Nest thermostat off Amazon, and you heard it here first folks, DON'T DO THAT! It wouldn't work and I regret not letting Joe provide it himself. He reinstalled the old thermostat and now we've got a tuned up HVAC system that runs better than ever.

When the bell tolls on our ancient AC, we'll have Walsh & Son handle it all like the pros that they are. Thanks, Joe!

Joe came to our home and installed a humidifier and also connected a gas line.  He was a very friendly person and a pleasure to have worked with...but...We spoke to him about coming back when the stove top delivered to help install it when we talked about the cost he charged...and it was stated it was included.  We have tried contacting him multiple times and haven't gotten a response.  Now our calls are sent to voicemail.  Finally, when it was connected without him, we were told there is a leak in what had been installed. We wanted to give him the opportunity to fix it but no one answers or calls back.

Update:  no response still.  We had two plumbers come out and couldn't believe this is how it was left.  There was also no shut off valve installed on the same floor which was out of code. Surprised a licensed plumber would leave anyone in such circumstances, especially with a small child in the home.

I had scouted out 4 other plumbers before hiring Walsh & Son (Joe) for a leaking water heater project. It wasn't a small task, but Joe made it look easy!  Joe replaced the water heater along with redoing the pipes, replaced the water expansion tank and pressure reducer valve. All under two hours!

I told Joe that we had an appraiser coming out that same day and he completed the work with just enough time for the appraiser to stop by and it worked out smoothly!

Joe is a one man team that is personable, reasonable and very good at what he does. I would highly recommend Joe for any plumbing tasks if you want things done right and fast! He's also reasonable with pricing compared to a lot of the larger plumbing shops. We've found ourselves a new go to plumber for any future work!

Spoke with Joe and scheduled a date and time for him to come out for a job. I then scheduled my morning around this appointment....He was a no show, and I have not heard from him at all, even after trying to reach out to him directly to see if he was still coming. I would not use someone like this who  has no accountability, and is clearly not professional.

I am writing this review as contractors like this need to be exposed.

I interviewed three Plumbers from Yelp and Joe Walsh had the job as soon as he began speaking. Speedy, Professional, Affordable and Downright Charming, Joe arrived with my new garbage disposal under his arm. He made quick work of the job while he entertained me and charged less than his (English as a second language) competitors. Great experience with Joe Walsh. Our hot water heater needed to be replaced and I turned to Yelp for help since my longtime plumber had retired. Joe responded to my request for a quote super fast. I wanted a certain size tank and he found it for me. Joe's price was very fair and he was able to get me on the schedule fast. He was willing to do the job same day but we agreed to do it today, after Christmas and the weekend. However, Joe called me on Christmas Eve to say that he had gotten the tank from his supplier so if disaster struck over the weekend, he could be at our house and help us asap. I thought that was above and beyond and was very impressed by the level of customer care! Fortunately we made it through the weekend fine. I really didn't want to bother Joe on a holiday. Now for the job itself: Joe arrived when he said he would, and his work was excellent. We also had a couple of other minor items that we added to the list for him to look at, which he did and knew exactly what to do. Overall great experience and we've found our new plumber. The other bonus is that Joe is an independent licensed professional as opposed to being part of a commercial org, so the level of attention is more personalized. Highly recommend!!!!

Joe went above and beyond when our tankless water heater broke. He came out right away, and quickly identified the issue. He came back the next day to install the part and our water issues were solved! The price was fair, and Joe was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Not only did he fix our issue, but entertained as he went. I would recommend Joe to anyone in the Philadelphia area.

$175 to come out and fix a minor gas leak. I thought it was a fair price. Joe is a good guy and competent. He also explained the electronic air filter and humidifier on my furnace for no extra charge (new house).

I cannot recommend a better company. They are fair in pricing, honest and have such great customer service. We will absolutely use them again. Highly recommend if you are looking for a family oriented local business who treats their customers fairly. Responded to our call the same day, and updated us on timing. Joe was great to work with!
