Our basement sink was backed up. Then the kitchen sink..they came out couldn't find anything they were here for almost 5 hrs...then they said they fixed it. It was the kitchen sink an the main...he told my landlord he pulled up wipes.LIAR THEY NEVER PULLED ANYTHING UP...what was left next to the main drain looked like a old torn wash rag..if anything...i asked them to show me whatever it was since i gotta pay double now. They never showed me anything. I knew what was on my pavement because my dad snaked the same drain an there was nothing on my pavement now i have this ripped up old rag...NO WIPES..AN CHARGED 1000...NEVER AGAIN.HORRIBLE

Customer Service with Carrie an employee at Mr. D's plumbing, very disrespectful on phone Ithat I wanted to see her and owner in person.

Carrie, Mtr. Dd representative told me to Google another company after waiting a month for Mr. D's and being told I was on a call back list.  Also stated they were only doing emergencies with hot water tanks. I had to shut off all my water and leave my home  due to plumbin egmergency.

I was recommended Mr. D's Plumbing during an emergency plumbing situation 2 weeks before Christmas, it is now almost 2 weeks after the New year and I am informed they are too busy.  Really. I have been out of my home during this process they sent out a drain cleaner team and I specifically informed the dispatch I required more service than that. I called the company after the Plumber did not come to my home to confirm they had my correct plumbing issues. That is when I was informed o was on a call back list. After following up I was then informed they were too busy.

Dispatch Tony, she was nice. I wanted to speak with the owner Mike, that never happened.

First time completing a Yelp review because I am that upset.
Mr. Ds,  Plumbing  was recommended by a family member who received their service through a  high dollar grant from City of Philadelphia.
I have insurance and paying cash out of pocket and get treated awful.

Basically I should have been informed from the beginning they were not going to service my home

If your looking for a reliable Plumber Service, Google another company before you get string along and delayed.

I was really shocked when I was told to Google another company by Mr. D's rep,  but oh well.

JJust sharing my experience.
Google another company so you can avoid nonsense and stress.

For several weeks due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our governor & mayor have mandated that people working in essential business wear masks and practice social distancing.  In fact, someone is supposed to check people entering businesses to ensure they are wearing masks.  There is a possibility that this business and/or office staff may be violating these mandates.  Yesterday (5/4/2020) about 745AM I observed 3 young Caucasian women crossing Rising Sun Avenue @ Comly Street where the business is located.  Not only were the women standing next to each other but NONE of them were wearing face coverings whatever?!  Am wondering during the few minutes time I spent waiting for the Route 18 bus southbound whether anyone inside was checking for face coverings but since none of them left the building during that time am concluding that either they had masks in their purses or no one inside bothered to check them as required.

Plumber couldn't unclog my kitchen sink, isn't that what plumbers do? No video pipe, just a snake. $129 service fee for letting me know they couldn't do the work. NO Thanks! Buyer beware!

If I could give zero stars I would ...a little back story ..
So I called in to have a job done , replace a curb stop the women on the phone sends me an estimate/contract to my email and it don't look right so I call back and explain again what is needed and she tells me that a curb box install includes a curb stop shut off valve .... not working here or being a plumber myself I take her word at face value and have to assume she knows what she is talking about .after calling 3 times to confirm. Boy was I wrong , so the 2 guys pull up on a Saturday morning over an hour late by the way appointment was 9-10 they show up at 11.
They don't have the parts to do the job on his truck .
He calls his boss and the order is wrong as I try to explain what I was told he gets an attitude with me like I wrote the order wrong .and tells me it's gonna be $500 more
So the short end is shit customer service , that can't keep an appointment and gives u an attitude instead of fixing the problem their staff caused
The guys that came out were cool and apologetic but over all this company is the worst . I would not recommend them for anything ...

I will never use them again. I had to get a sink installed in my main bathroom because I was having a party last week for my daughter's 8th grade graduation. Told them I need to have have them come out after 4 because I work- and this HAS to get before Friday. They agreed. The lady on the phone even asked me if i had a sink already, bc if not they could provide one for me, or we could go to Home Depot (which is down the street from my house) that day.  During the initial phone call I also asked about unclogging a drain in my master bathroom shower. I was told it was $195 flat and that the plumber who comes out can do whatever I need him to do. The after hours lady relayed my message, and someone called me back a few minute later.  I informed the man again that this HAD to be done before Friday. (it was Tuesday when we spoke) He informed me that he would be out the next day and get everything done for me.  

So the guy shows up, and informs me that I have the wrong type of sink and that i need to purchase another one. OK fine... its after 5 so he tells me there is nothing that he can do. I ask him about what the person on the phone said about going to Home Depot, and he says he can't do that... OK Fine... I let him know I would be purchasing one that evening by myself and that he would need to come out tomorrow to finish. He indicates that i need to call the office and maybe'' he'll be the one to come out. -Whatever... Oh and I almost forgot that he did NOT clear ANY drain in my bathroom (remember that part, its important). Not only did he NOT clear the drain, when I asked about it, he informed me that he was not even able to do it, and that a different man, with another type of truck and tools would have to be the one to do that request. Clearly the opposite of what was told to me on the phone...

The  next day, I called the office and asked to have this guy come out again today... same thing applies, that I need to have him come out after 4 (around 4:30 -5) bc I have to work... This time I'm told they are going to charge ME extra bc they have to pay their guy overtime... yea OK!!! I quickly remind her that this was NOT acceptable, and i firmly indicated before they took my $95 deposit (for doing nothing) that I needed him to come out AFTER 4. After getting clearance from her manager, she agrees and asks if I can come home earlier.... fine screw it... I told her I would leave at 3 and be home by 3:30... OK... I left at 2... the man didn't show up until after 4:15... - so you know I'm pissed right... again, whatever... I just want my sink installed....

He installed the sink, left me the invoice, to be charged the next day, and I test out the sink. Great! He cleans up and leaves.  So the worst part is over right?? WRONG!!!

Now when you flush the toilet it makes a loud HUMMING sound, and if that wasn't bad enough, they OVERCHARGED me- remember that $195 fee for unclogging the drain? You know, the one the man said he couldn't do? Yea, I was charged for that...  

So I called when I realized all this... someone was supposed to call me back when they reviewed my bill.... its been like 3 days, and still not resolved.... Next step... better business bureau... next step after that... my lawyer!!!  Also- they were going to charge me  almost $300 to install a faucet in my kitchen... They are the worst!!!

I am beginning to hate when our relatives who are parents of young children come to visit.  I don't mind paying for the trip to the museum.  I don't mind cleaning the house to get ready for them, stocking the house with food that the little people will eat.  But the plumbing bill about 2 weeks after their visit is getting a little old.  Despite what the packaging says, disposable baby wipes don't go in the toilet.  At least Mr. D's Drain Cleaning fixed the problem quickly and economically.  $139 was the bill.  The last time this happened, the two plumbers sat around for at least a half hour or more on my sidewalk while a third went to get a part at the hardware store.  My partner and I differ in our memory of that bill, but suffice to say it was several hundred dollars.

I had a serious sewer line clog that my regular plumber was not equipped to fix. He recommended Mr. D's. I called Friday evening- they came out Saturday morning. They gave me a window of 11-2 and were there by 11:30. they snaked out the line, gave me advice about tree root control and were done within a half an hour. They were knowledgeable, polite and responsive.

After my wife and I spent over $10,000 to have our lateral replace, we called them back for an estimate to do additional work, which would be more thousands our dollars but they wanted $95 to come do an estimate, definitely not how you keep customers, I have other willing plumbers to come give free estimates to make a couple thousand bucks.
