Paramount Plumbing Plumbing Service
Patrick was referred to my wife and I as a craftsman and someone that could be relied on to do the right job the first time.  We have a challenging 1918 house upon which we were performing an overhaul on the downstairs bathroom.  The project scope grew as we became aware of the condition of plumbing throughout the house.  Patrick was clear and confident when he reviewed the job of re plumbing the downstairs bath.  He clearly explained why it was necessary to replumb the upstairs bath which had been done improperly.  I like to do a lot of our home repair work myself and it's nice to work with someone who has integrity and knowledge of the way to do things right.

Craftwork Plumbing Plumbing Service
Craftwork did all the original plumbing in my house 12 years ago. I have never had a problem with any of there work. It is top quality as I do live in an upscale neighborhood. They have always been prompt with returning service calls. They completed a kitchen renovation early and at a lower cost. When I have add emergencies, they have gotten to me right away. - even adding an unscheduled stop as one of the plumbers was on the way home. I cannot speak highly enough about their work and service. Their costs are always competitive or lower than anyone else.

Ackerman Plumbing Services Plumbing Service
Ackerman Plumbing came to my house and drained my water heater after a handyman and hours of YouTube didn't work out. Steven explained why my water was coming out brown in one bathroom and removed the small piece causing what I thought was a much larger issue. I appreciate that he took time to assess all my plumbing fixtures and explained to me the plumbing mistakes that were made and what a less knowledgeable or less honorable plumber might have tried to do to fix the problem instead.

Direct Plumbing Solutions Plumbing Service
I hate having to call the plumber.  It is going to cost a fortune and takes forever. Was I wrong. Wow! Talk about a painless experience! Tyler called 20 minutes before he was suppose to get here--which was exactly the time I was promised. Solved my problem--which wasn't even a plumbing problem after all, and get this--DIDN'T CHARGE ME. What???!!! Super nice guy. I hadn't even read any of their reviews, just calling plumbers to get the first one who could come out. Now that I have read other reviews I see why they are rated so high. Will keep their card filed forever.  Thanks Direct Plumbing and Tyler!

Ken at Molalla plumbing is awesome! He was on time, got the job done and the price was fair considering the work done. I would recommend them to anyone looking for someone honest and reliable.

P1 Plumbing Plumbing Service
I would highly recommend hiring P1 Plumbing. I had a leak in my wall that was flowing for a while but I had no idea what the source was. Yuriy came out and found the leak immediately, his instincts are amazing! Right away he repaired the leak. He didn't just patch it but he replaced the leaking pipe with a new and sturdy segment and I definitely don't have to worry about that area leaking again. Really high-quality work and very thorough and cleaned up after the job. Amazing job!!

Everlast Plumbing Plumbing Service
Zak is excellent. He is very informative, communicative, and personable. He really takes the time to listen to you, understand your wants and concerns, and clearly communicates his professional opinion on the best approach. Zak is very trustworthy and honest, and I never felt like he was trying to push me toward a certain option or sell me anything, he just wanted to help me solve my issues and make the best decision for our home and situation.

We had a major back up that impacted our entire upstairs. After calling a big mainstream drain company out of desperation, all we received was a big bill and no solutions. We contacted Zak, and he came out as soon as he could, recommended a better local small business drain company, and then talked  through all of our options for repairing the issue. I will be using Zak in the future for all of my plumbing needs, and would recommend him to all my friends and family.

MT Dunn Plumbing Service
As avid DIY people, we always try to do the job ourselves first. When this didn't work out for us, I gave Mike a call. He gave me a bunch of tips and tricks to try, and said I could give a call back to schedule if I couldn't figure it out. We kind of laughed about this, as it was so unexpected that he didn't try to book a spot on our schedule right away, but appreciated that he really upped our DIY plumbing knowledge first. We did, in the end, schedule with him, and they did an excellent job on the work we needed done in our aging home.

Cherry City Plumbing Plumbing Service
Okay, so I am going to sort of repost most of an experience I had today with another company here to highlight the great service I received from Cherry City Plumbing.

Called to get a water heater replaced. I was not really interested in estimates (though they did give some), I just wanted the job done and was willing to book the job then and there. I called Judson's Plumbing and it seems Judson's requires a photo of the water heater sent to them before they will commit to the job even though I gave the details concerning the water heater in question. Trouble is their office staff have no idea how to deal with graphics sent to them or they didn't want the business. Twice I sent the picture in the email address given to me. Nope, they claim they didn't get the email and nothing was returned to me saying there was a problem sending the message. Okay, let's try sending it in text. Same issue, they say they didn't get it. I am a retired software engineer, I wrote a lot of code that is used to send emails; I know how to send a text and email message. My guess is that Judson's didn't want the job (really easy install in the garage with no obstructions) so they played the we didn't get the file game and really insisted they have a picture. I do wonder about those without smart phones or the experience of sending graphics being left out of the loop. So much for inclusion.

Okay now onto the good stuff.

I called Cherry City Plumbing and they said, picture? don't need no stinking picture. Okay, so I played that up a bit but they really were surprised a picture was needed by Judson's before booking a job. Cherry City Plumbers didn't need any picture and were very professional and helpful (and nice) and booked me with Anthony, a very accomplished technician who did the job of replacing our water heater the same day for $400 less than the lowest price quoted by Judson's. My advise, call Cherry City Plumbers first and save yourself a lot of frustration and money to boot, and you won't need any stinking pictures.

Black Rock Underground Plumbing Service
These guys are professional, reliable, and have fair pricing. I got a total of five estimates to decommission my cesspool and hook-up to the city sewer. Black Rock had the cheapest estimate and also Drew who came out to do the estimate was honest about the job and stayed to answer all of my questions. Other companies that came to do estimates, left as soon as they could. My job was urgent so they were flexible with the schedule and got it done ASAP. The crew that came out was professional and Cory always answered all of my questions promptly. I would definitely recommend this company. I am very satisfied with their work.

R D Plumbing Plumbing Service
Lame sauce. Called because I have a major leak. Their office is in NW, relatively close to where I live. I asked if the service Sauvies Island, and was told it was too far from their workers who live in SE PORTLAND. Seriously?  Their office is close to my home - literally.

Guess they can't be a service to their neighborhood.

Nichols Plumbing Plumbing Service
We had the water main between the street and the house spring a major leak and Bob came out with a quick bid and got the ball rolling right away after I accepted the bid. A few days later we were back in action with a whole new water line from the street to basement and it works perfectly and just passed inspection this morning. Super nice guy, nice crew, and now I know exactly who I'll call when I have other plumbing needs.

All American Plumbing and Drain Plumbing Service
The city recorded my usage of water at almost 5,300 cubic feet spanning 5 weeks whereas I average 1,000 cf a year. A bit of a leak. So I called up AAP and Kevin and Josh came out and quickly determined that it was underground, appropriately assumed they'd have to replace the whole water main since part of it was replaced before but not all of it. Got in a week later and Josh found the leak maybe 6 from the sidewalk of the meter from a root. Thankfully him and Kevin determined that the line didn't need to be replaced and I was able to save thousands of dollars. I love it when companies look out for their customers and not their bottom line. I'll definitely be using them going forward and sharing their name far and wide.

Wolfer's Home Services Plumbing Service
I have never had such a horrific experience with a company in my life. We inadvertently did not turn our gas handle off on our range all of the way and woke up to a gas smell in the house. When NWNG came out to assess for any leaks, they determined the stove was safe, but that a vent pipe to one of our instant water heaters was potentially leaking some carbon monoxide around the connection joints. They suggested we get the vent pipe sealed and referred us to Wolfer's as one of their recommended vendors.

When the technician from Wolfer's arrived and looked at the vent, his behavior became arrogant and dramatic, telling us we were lucky to be alive and indicating that he had never seen that type of installation in his life and finally that he would need to tear apart our walls in our home to the tune of $6,000 to $8,000 to remove and replace all piping as it was not to code. I should point out that this technician was not familiar with the unit we had, stated he had never worked on their equipment and tried to look up the unit and manufacturer in his phone while on the premises but could not locate the product.

We told him that the system had been in place for 10 years and was installed professionally, showed him a second one we had in our garage, and that his own company had been out to clean the system previously and never mentioned anything of the kind. He argued and stated that this was not true and stated he was authorized by NWNG to turn off all of our gas to the main house unless we complied with his demands. We told him we wanted a second opinion, and at first he refused to leave, pushing his way toward our gas meter to disconnect our gas. We again asked him to leave and he and his assistant did so; however, he indicated that someone would be out to shut off our gas imminently.

About an hour later, two police officers showed up at our door, stating that they were called because of life/safety issue and that I was reported as being erratic. I explained the situation, that most of the conversation was between this technician and my husband, that the information they had provided was simply not true, and they subsequently left. After some finger-pointing by Wolfer's, I learned that their technician had called NWNG and blatantly gave incorrect information to them regarding my condition and the condition of the unit to cause the police to be called. I explained to the manager of their service center that these actions had the appearance of endeavoring to use law enforcement to require us to buy their products and services, and that this was not only unethical but likely illegal as well. She declined to provide me with a second opinion; however she did  give me a $1500.00 quote to replace the pipe.

We have since called and been serviced by a company authorized by the manufacturer to work on the equipment we have installed currently. Their charge was $150.00 and they performed the exact work indicated by NWNG. During his visit, the technician stated that the unit was installed originally according to manufacturer's recommendation, and that we did not need to replace the unit until we were ready to do so as it was working fine. It is bad enough that we did not receive courteous service from the first technicians from Wolfer's who arrived at our home, but the inconvenience and embarrassment this company caused us with our gas company and law enforcement is inexcusable.

Gator Plumbing Plumbing Service
Gator Plumbing was assigned to us by our home warranty service.  We had some drainage issues and another plumbing company assigned by the home warranty company had done some initial work, and Gator was assigned to do the simple final task of putting our toilet back on with a new wax ring.  40 minutes before he was supposed to show up (I stayed home from a family outing on a Saturday morning to wait for him), he called saying that my home warranty had contacted him saying that they had denied the claim and had told him not to come out to put the toilet back on.  I was very surprised because they told me on Thursday when they had assigned him to me that it was all approved.  I immediately called the home warranty company and they told me an entirely different story.  They said that Tim had called that morning (he had been assigned to us since Thursday and waited until the last minute to cancel) and had said that he didn't want to service our toilet and turned down the job.  Tim also told them he doesn't put toilets back on (which he had explicitly told me 2 days prior that he does).  They said he was the one that decided not to do the job and that they didn't cancel his work order, and I believe them because they were already looking for another plumber to come out and fix our toilet.  I wish Tim would have just turned down the job on Thursday when it was first assigned to him because then we would have gotten another plumber out here sooner.  I left a message for Tim to ask him about the discrepancies between his story and the home warranty company's, but I never heard back.
