I used this group in the past year for a drain replacement. The quote I received was extremely competitive. Beyond the price, the service was outstanding. Very honest and professional from the minute I talked to him until he left the job. Would highly recommend to others.

I have been using Drain Openers for more than 10 years now. They are wonderful!!! They are always prompt getting to the job, very courteous and their pricing is always fair. The quality of work is superb and I have recommended them to many others over years with no complaints from anyone. Dave and Tina Swisher are the owners and the two men that usually do work for me are Jeremiah and Mike. You can't go wrong with this company!!

Called around for the best price for unclogging a basement floor drain and getting rid of a gawd-awful smell coming from it. Macon was the lowest, so Tony came out the next day. He says he removed a hideous, unidentifiable object from the drain and the water flow is clear. I called him back five days later because the smell was still there. He advised we flush bleach down the drain. We poured four gallons of concentrated bleach down the drain over the next four days. However, 12 days after Tony was here, the smell is still there.
Price: $95.00.
Result: I'm calling Roto-Rooter later today to see what they can do.

UPDATE: Upon double checking, we found no such communication at all with Jeremy as he describes in his response. We had no idea he had decided he couldn't do anything; he didn't email or text or call with any such communication. As far as we knew, he had not made any decision and needed more information--and hence his initial commitment to us to come back out.
Jeremy originally came out on March 4. His initial take on the situation was that this is typical for this area and I've never had one beat me yet. So his sudden Yelp response of I decided it can't be done is, in my opinion, a rather questionable last-minute excuse made after he's been called out for lack of communication.
Anyway. Like I said, in our initial meeting on March 4 he had committed to us to come back out in the next week or two to do detailed site measurements but didn't follow up on that for quite some time, and didn't communicate anything for several weeks despite my wife calling his office (March 21) and emailing him. I finally emailed him on April 1 to ask, Are you still interested in looking more closely at my back yard situation? If not, just let me know. Otherwise, please let me know when you plan to be by to assess the situation.
To Jeremy's credit, he responded in 6 minutes via email. But, his explanation had NOTHING to do with inclement weather delays; instead he talked about some personal medical issues. Unfortunately, I accepted those at face value. And now when confronted with the facts he says the delay was due to inclement weather?
In that same email communication he committed to coming out that same week on Friday, April 5, which I again took at face value.
And that was the absolute LAST we ever heard from Jeremy--that is, until moments after my initial Yelp review went up at 11pm. Now his story is I came out April 5 and decided it couldn't be done. If he came out, he did not specifically schedule a time to meet with us that day. Nor did he let us know afterward that he had been there, or made any decision about whether or not to do the job. I might add that my wife is home all day, and most certainly would have seen Jeremy making any detailed site measurements as he originally described--and yet she saw no such detailed or extensive activity, nor did she see any indications of any such activity.
Further, at no point did my wife deal with Jeremy over text messages. It was all email and voice. And at no point did my wife receive any text from Jeremy such as he describes. Yes, I would be very interested in seeing said screenshots of any texts. Jeremy, you have MY email; please send the screenshots. And if you had already concluded that you could not make it work properly, then what additional options did you possibly have to offer?
I also find it interesting that if Jeremy thought he had texted us once and never heard back, that he never bothered to follow up with even a second communication, maybe a phone call or email (and we do know that he had our correct email addresses).
It appears that not only did Jeremy make some terrible choices in how he did business with us, but he continues those choices by trying to defend himself on Yelp by apparently not being truthful about how he handled things. Like I said, I'm OK with being told sorry, I can't help you. What I'm not OK with is complete lack of communication, made worse by his stated defense of I told you I couldn't do it which simply isn't true. Had Jeremy told us that, we wouldn't be here on Yelp today.
Also, I find it interesting that his response to me is virtually the same as his response below to Henk D.
Buyer beware.

Capital City Mechanical helped fix a troublesome situation involving the installation of my dishwasher. Something was done poorly with the line from the washer to my sink when it was initially installed, and Home Depot - the originally installer, refused to fix their mistake.
CCM came to my rescue - why is this noteworthy? Because a lot of plumbers don't want to mess with appliances, and a lot of appliance places refuse to work with plumbing. Seriously. I wouldn't wish this specific situation on my worst enemy.
This company threaded the needle of being able to assist me with both for a reasonable price. Cannot wait to use them for future needs as required.

John and Chris were able to eliminate my drain problem in a short amount of time, I had one of the other local companies here first, but they wanted 3x the money to fix the same issue! I'll definitely be using John and the team at Plumbing and Drain Professionals from now on! Thank you for taking care of my plumbing!

Unresponsive to repeated calls to find a simple part (sweeps) to shower doors that we purchased through them
400 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus, OH 43223
Arrived early in the appointment window. Plumber was unfriendly. Told me after an hour that he was physically unable to do the work that needed done. Called for backup but apparently none was available so he just left. Very disappointing.

They came to our house prompt and on time but most importantly, the repairman, Logan, was knowledgeable, clear, concise, and actually polite and pleasurable to talk to! I've not had a repairman as nice and efficient as this guy was! Amazing! AND.....he didn't have a plumber's butt and he had all his teeth! Lol.
Seriously as painful as any service call can be, this was a great experience for a change.

Our home warranty company contracted The Service People to fix our water heater. Tony came out and diagnosed that a burner assembly wasn't working, which was causing the heater not to heat. He went on vacation, and we spent a godawful four weeks waiting, contacting The Service People, being told the part wasn't there but would be by X day, waiting, contacting them, being told the part had been delayed or not shipped or no it would be there another day, waiting, rinse, repeat. Over the course of contacting them eight times, I was told seven separate dates that the part would *absolutely* be in, and three different and clashing excuses as to why it hadn't arrived (one was that the manufacturer sent the wrong part, so it had to be returned; another was that the original *correct* part had been sent to the wrong location; and the third was that the manufacturer had never run their credit card so had never shipped the part in the first place). I still have no idea what happened to the part. We would have gone to another company after the first week and a half if our warranty company had allowed it. The only bright spot in this story is that as soon as Tony got back from vacation, he worked with our warranty company to get us an entirely new water heater instead because--you guessed it-- they still didn't have the part. So, after a month of no hot water and a week's worth of lunch breaks wasted trying to figure out why, we finally can shower in comfort again. I would not recommend working with this company. I would recommend Tony as a contractor, but hire him on the side, not through The Service People.

We had a leaking and rusted outside pipe and spigot which was causing wood damage so we had to call someone quick. Unfortunately, we found out our home warranty did not cover this repair but since the McAtee plumber was already at the property we decided to have them to the work. He took care of our problem in a timely and professional manner. although we experienced a bit of sticker shock given the cost, the office rep was courteous and helpful. I would have found it somewhat more helpful if I could have been able to speak directly with the repairman on the site. Overall a fairly acceptable experience during a plumbing emergency

Called for backflow testing on 10 and again on 11 august. I was told he would be out in the next couple of days. I discussed a problem with the lid of the backflow device and I was told he would attempt to fix it. I assumed all would be taken care and forgot about it until I received a past due notice from the city of Columbus threatening to shut my water off if I don't get the test completed and the results submitted. I immediately called Baumann and of course there is no answer. Left message, got no response, called again 2 additional times...still no response. Totally unreliable and unprofessional company to do business with.

The office representatives and technicians who do the work are great. It's the rip-off artist who shows up at your house half an hour later to show your his recording of your terrible drains and tries to scare you into digging up your yard that's the problem.
Three years ago, we needed an emergency drain clear on a Sunday. The tech shows up, clears the drain . . . and then Jimmy showed up. What a shyster. I don't even believe the video he showed us was a recording of our drain. I think he just played us a video from his bank of recordings (always make sure they show you the camera WHILE they're going through your drain). Tries to hard sell my husband into thousands of dollars of necessary repair work. When I declined, he said, That's fine, my toilet will be working tomorrow.
Later in the week I called Eco-Plumber and they confirmed that although there was a small displacement of the pipe (he showed us the camera as it moved through the pipe, and none of the issues Jimmy showed us were there). He told us that if we had the drain cleared every other year or so, it could last another decade.
Fast forward to last week--yikes, another drain plugged (after three years. Really, it's our fault for not addressing it immediately, until it was solidly plugged). Eco-Plumber couldn't send anyone out that day. So I called Mr. Rooter. Guess who showed up with his hard sell again? JIMMY. Walks into our house without a mask, starts his flim-flam game, mentions how great Trump is (guess he missed the Biden sign prominently displayed in our yard), and gives us the same spiel. The technician was already done, but he warned us about the imminent failure of our whole drainage system. Okay, buddy. Whatever. NEVER AGAIN.

I am 74 with special child 48, my experience with Chris Plumbing was Unprofessional and Chris DID NOT do any work, yet led me to believe he fixed my problem. 11-7-16 I called Chris Plumbing about water ring around toilet, Chris said he had a job shortly but could stop and give me a free estimate. Came in flip flops, and shorts, no paperwork,I took him to son's upstairs bathroom, Chris jumped up and down said I needed new floor wood rot. I told him I did not need a new floor as I had a new wood floor, toilet, sink, painted in less that two years ago, then Chris said he would take the toilet off and check everything out.
Came downstairs in 5 minutes said plumbing fine everything ok but had time to fix it. Went to truck came back with no tool box went up stairs.
Came down in 10 minutes said it would be $100.00, asked if I could take the discount listed on his ad, Chris said he already did that it was $100.00.
My son's caregiver was up stairs the first five minutes, came down went to the basement to get laundry, when Jim came up I was writing the check for Chris thinking Chris did work. I walked to the truck with Chris as he did not give me an invoice and I thought he would write me one, Chris reached into his truck and gave me his business card, no last name, no address, picture of a women and two kids, could hardly read phone #. Chris said he had been listed with Westland Messenger for years and if he get one complaint they will drop his ad, no need to worry gave 30 day warranty which I noted on the check.
Two days later On 7-9-16 I went up stairs to see if my son made his bed. There was water all over the bathroom floor, being by myself I put towels all over the floor. Went down stairs and looked up Chris Plumbing on my iPad. There was a review on Chris Plumbing back in 2011 almost the same as what happened to me, they said Chris said he would come three times to check out his problem and never came, with that I called another Plummer.
They came right away, Had to snake line, said bad blockage way down, they did fix my problem. If Chris did anything Chris would have found the blockage as well. They charged $114.00 but did do the work. I called Chris and told him I wanted my money back, he said he did not trust me, I hung up.
Sent Chris Plumbing in Galloway a CERTIFIED LETTER asking for my $100.00 they would not sign for the letter. I reported this to Westland Messinger and the BBB.
I feel Chris Scamed me when I told him I did not need a new floor, to take advantage of a 74 year old lady when all he would have had to do was snake the line blockage.
I tell my story so others may not be taken in 15 minutes, I feel like a fool, my son's caregiver told me he could not have done anything in such a short time, said people like this should be stopped. That is why I wrote this, it is the principle of thing, shame on you Chris.

DO NOT PUNISH YOURSELF BY HIRING K&D PLUMBERS. There are far too many honest, reliable, competent, and hard working plumbers for you to waste your money on this crew.
If you want to feel like a second class citizen, use K&D Plumbing. David and team were hired to do several plumbing jobs on my house addition. David's communication with me and my general contractor was horrible and virtually nonexistent. David would regularly not return calls / messages and failed to follow through on several critical items (i.e., permit coordination) that caused significant delays in the project. His failure to talk to the paying customer and follow through on promises also caused delays throughout the project. To cap it all off, David sent one of his plumbers to change out a natural gas feed line to a fireplace. His plumber had installed it previously, but his work FAILED the City's inspection. David regularly pulled his plumber from scheduled dates to fix this poor work. Upon completion of this last bit of work, David overcharged me by $95 for an hour of labor that his plumber did not work. He agreed to me not having to pay for the 1 hour his employee did not work on my job, but he never sent an adjusted invoice. In the flurry of paying several trades for their services on my home, I mistakenly overpaid David the $95 for the 1 hour not really worked. I contacted him quickly to notify him of the error, but he had already cashed my check. I requested a refund for that overage. He told me that he 'deserved' the extra money and refused to refund it. Eventually, he agreed to send me a $95 check. Well, that date came and went without me receiving a check or hearing a word from David. After a couple weeks, I again attempted to contact David to inquire about the money and refund. He told me that he has no intention of returning my money and that it was my problem since I wrote the check. There is a term for someone who makes promises and does not keep his word. There is also a term for someone who takes things, in this case nearly $100, that is not rightfully theirs.

Hired Rocky to do a plumbing rough in on a house we are building. Gave him $825 down payment of $3500 total. I paid for the materials. He sent 2 knuckelheads out to the house and they made a huge mess, spilled the purple primer everywhere, it looked like a 3rd grader did the job. Hacked up my floor joists. I had the inspector stop by and he said it would never pass inspections as they had toilets draining into the vent stacks etc... I asked him to deduct the 2 days they worked out there and refund the rest of my money. Never heard another word from him. Run 100 miles an hour away from this scam artist, he really doesnt have a clue.
