This company was assigned by my home warranty to repair the disposal and the toilet.  The initial appointment was missed, apparently because their phone calls were blocked as a robocall, and they could not confirm the appointment.  Friendly staff then resolved the issue by email, and rescheduled the appointment to a time convenient for my tenant. The technician replaced the disposal and repaired the toilet.

First American warranty company sent them out due to leaking drain pipes in the basement that flex seal did not fix.  All the tech could say was oh my God over and over and that it had been going on for more than a week; well of course it had because it over two weeks before they could even come out. He took his flashlight and shone it one the pipes and left boo-hooing about it.  The least he could have done is say he didn't want to fix it by replacing pipes but instead told the warranty company that we altered the pipes ( which are original from the early 60s) in an unsafe manner so that made the warranty company say it wasn't covered.  Needless to say I found that out another 5 days later.  Thanks for sending out an unprofessional tech who cried because he may have had to actually work.

Terrible service and impossible to get ahold of.  their national number takes to an automated service which routes you to a voicemail after waiting and waiting on hold.  

Further, the work they do is terrible.  Nearly every thing they've touched they've had to come back and fix again.  No pride in the work they do.  I've twice had to ask for different technicians to find a good one.  They have a few but over work them.  

They won't prioritize serious issues.  Plumbing leaks, don't care.  AC issues, can't be bothered.  Please stay away if you can help it.  I know they are desperate for work so they're partnering with some home warrantee companies.  Which makes you wonder why they are in such need of work in this environment.

The technician that came by to inspect our external water pips for any leaks, arrived in the scheduled time frame. He was courteous, professional and friendly. He was very thorough in his inspection and gave us a very thorough brief on his inspection results, which ultimately provide us with enough information to make an informed next step. Thank you!

If I could give negative stars I would. McAtee appears to be the main plumbing provider for my home warranty company. I have had the unfortunate experience to have the come to my home to fix 3 repairs now. The first, about a year ago, was to my exterior water line. Took almost a week because they did no have a pump to remove the water from the hole and had to wait for it to drain. Sadly, the same leak, in the same spot, happened again 3 month later. Then this spring I had issues with my sewer line and only needed to have my toilet snaked. They refused to snake my toilet, instead dug up one cover on my septic and said it was full and I needed to have it pumped. I told them it was done less than 3 years ago and the 2 men said it was common for them to fill up so quickly with all the rain we have been having. (I have a good sized leech field). So I called a septic company and they came out and there was really nothing to pump and come to find out, the line was just clogged, imagine that?!?! But this last time takes the cake. They came out last Thursday to fix a leak in my crawl space. They were here for less than 10 minutes. The young man left without checking things inside and not saying much. I went to use my sink to have brown water come out with very little water pressure. I immediately called McAtee and as usual, got their voice mail. I then called my home warranty company who managed to get ahold of them. I explained to McAtee I did not have use of my kitchen sink, downstairs bath or my shower, but other things were working. They sent their technician out who came into look at the water pressure. He first told me, the pressure looked fine and then said, to my face, he believes I am lying and this is a pre-existing condition and he excused himself to call his company. If this was a pre-existing condition, why wouldn't I have had my warranty company fix this too?!?! He refused to go and look at the work he did and although I tried to explain the facts to him, he said I was being confrontational and argumentative. But I guess that is how some people feel when you call out their shoddy work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They do not stand behind their work, are rarely on time, very difficult to get ahold of directly and have always done it wrong with the issues they have worked on for me.

this Company Doesn't Honor The Employee's I was laid off due to them not wanting to pay what they agreed to pay me This Company Has Coward ways and also All for themselves they do janky work for customers knowing it's wrong and as a person who use to work there I advise no one use this company

My mom had some issues with her pipes flooding her house and then a mysterious leak. She was very stressed out until they sent out Kyle, who is the hardest worker ever! He located the issue and meticulously replaced and repaired her pipe. Excellent service! They could always use more  employees like Kyle. He really did a good job, very  thorough and determined. Thank you! We will use your services again in the future!

We had a leaking and rusted outside pipe and spigot which was causing wood damage so we had to call someone quick. Unfortunately, we found out our home warranty did not cover this repair but since the McAtee plumber was already at the property we decided to have them to the work. He took care of our problem in a timely and professional manner. although we experienced a bit of sticker shock given the cost, the office rep was courteous and helpful. I would have found it somewhat more helpful if I could have been able to speak directly with the repairman on the site. Overall a fairly acceptable experience during a plumbing emergency

I rarely give 1 star reviews, and I wouldn't have bothered but please beware of this company.

We had to deal with this company through Home Warranty, they outsource their work for any jobs that are assigned out of their home state. This might be why they are so incompetent, but Frank is a total unprofessional liar and this company should definitely not be used at all costs due to their dishonest business practices and fraudulent billing. They have probably been doing this for years, there is probably just cause for a class action lawsuit with how much additional money they have been able to get suckered out of people that do not question their charges. We had in excess of $700 in out of pocket costs on top of what the home warranty company was going to cover for a replacement of a basic hot water heater. The home warranty company does not provide the pricing breakdown, upon calling this company...they refuse to give their price breakdown in the form of email. This should be a red flag #1. They also have girls that work in the dispatch office that have zero customer service skills, maybe they are related to Frank because I saw a common thread there with lack of personality. Once we finally got some verbal breakdown of charges, we realized they are overinflated for bogus inflated permit charges and a disposal fee. Frank immediately blamed his contractor for not putting the correct charges down, that is red flag #2 which shows **** poor management when someone blames a tech for their shortcomings and gets antagonistic for being called out for it and the lack of accountability within a shadily run organization. These were confirmed as bogus charges because we were able to get reassigned to a different company that charged about 1/3 of what they were trying to charge for the exact work that was to be done. Frank and his company are so horrible, that the home warranty company refunded us back our service fee which is pretty much unheard of with these types of places and filed a complaint against him. I was basically told that I could take it or leave it and I can go eff myself and then hung up on.

If I could give negative stars I would. McAtee appears to be the main plumbing provider for my home warranty company. I have had the unfortunate experience to have the come to my home to fix 3 repairs now. The first, about a year ago, was to my exterior water line. Took almost a week because they did no have a pump to remove the water from the hole and had to wait for it to drain. Sadly, the same leak, in the same spot, happened again 3 month later. Then this spring I had issues with my sewer line and only needed to have my toilet snaked. They refused to snake my toilet, instead dug up one cover on my septic and said it was full and I needed to have it pumped. I told them it was done less than 3 years ago and the 2 men said it was common for them to fill up so quickly with all the rain we have been having. (I have a good sized leech field). So I called a septic company and they came out and there was really nothing to pump and come to find out, the line was just clogged, imagine that?!?! But this last time takes the cake. They came out last Thursday to fix a leak in my crawl space. They were here for less than 10 minutes. The young man left without checking things inside and not saying much. I went to use my sink to have brown water come out with very little water pressure. I immediately called McAtee and as usual, got their voice mail. I then called my home warranty company who managed to get ahold of them. I explained to McAtee I did not have use of my kitchen sink, downstairs bath or my shower, but other things were working. They sent their technician out who came into look at the water pressure. He first told me, the pressure looked fine and then said, to my face, he believes I am lying and this is a pre-existing condition and he excused himself to call his company. If this was a pre-existing condition, why wouldn't I have had my warranty company fix this too?!?! He refused to go and look at the work he did and although I tried to explain the facts to him, he said I was being confrontational and argumentative. But I guess that is how some people feel when you call out their shoddy work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They do not stand behind their work, are rarely on time, very difficult to get ahold of directly and have always done it wrong with the issues they have worked on for me.

My mom had some issues with her pipes flooding her house and then a mysterious leak. She was very stressed out until they sent out Kyle, who is the hardest worker ever! He located the issue and meticulously replaced and repaired her pipe. Excellent service! They could always use more  employees like Kyle. He really did a good job, very  thorough and determined. Thank you! We will use your services again in the future!

We had a leaking and rusted outside pipe and spigot which was causing wood damage so we had to call someone quick. Unfortunately, we found out our home warranty did not cover this repair but since the McAtee plumber was already at the property we decided to have them to the work. He took care of our problem in a timely and professional manner. although we experienced a bit of sticker shock given the cost, the office rep was courteous and helpful. I would have found it somewhat more helpful if I could have been able to speak directly with the repairman on the site. Overall a fairly acceptable experience during a plumbing emergency

I rarely give 1 star reviews, and I wouldn't have bothered but please beware of this company.

We had to deal with this company through Home Warranty, they outsource their work for any jobs that are assigned out of their home state. This might be why they are so incompetent, but Frank is a total unprofessional liar and this company should definitely not be used at all costs due to their dishonest business practices and fraudulent billing. They have probably been doing this for years, there is probably just cause for a class action lawsuit with how much additional money they have been able to get suckered out of people that do not question their charges. We had in excess of $700 in out of pocket costs on top of what the home warranty company was going to cover for a replacement of a basic hot water heater. The home warranty company does not provide the pricing breakdown, upon calling this company...they refuse to give their price breakdown in the form of email. This should be a red flag #1. They also have girls that work in the dispatch office that have zero customer service skills, maybe they are related to Frank because I saw a common thread there with lack of personality. Once we finally got some verbal breakdown of charges, we realized they are overinflated for bogus inflated permit charges and a disposal fee. Frank immediately blamed his contractor for not putting the correct charges down, that is red flag #2 which shows **** poor management when someone blames a tech for their shortcomings and gets antagonistic for being called out for it and the lack of accountability within a shadily run organization. These were confirmed as bogus charges because we were able to get reassigned to a different company that charged about 1/3 of what they were trying to charge for the exact work that was to be done. Frank and his company are so horrible, that the home warranty company refunded us back our service fee which is pretty much unheard of with these types of places and filed a complaint against him. I was basically told that I could take it or leave it and I can go eff myself and then hung up on.

This company was assigned by my home warranty to repair the disposal and the toilet.  The initial appointment was missed, apparently because their phone calls were blocked as a robocall, and they could not confirm the appointment.  Friendly staff then resolved the issue by email, and rescheduled the appointment to a time convenient for my tenant. The technician replaced the disposal and repaired the toilet.

First American warranty company sent them out due to leaking drain pipes in the basement that flex seal did not fix.  All the tech could say was oh my God over and over and that it had been going on for more than a week; well of course it had because it over two weeks before they could even come out. He took his flashlight and shone it one the pipes and left boo-hooing about it.  The least he could have done is say he didn't want to fix it by replacing pipes but instead told the warranty company that we altered the pipes ( which are original from the early 60s) in an unsafe manner so that made the warranty company say it wasn't covered.  Needless to say I found that out another 5 days later.  Thanks for sending out an unprofessional tech who cried because he may have had to actually work.

Terrible service and impossible to get ahold of.  their national number takes to an automated service which routes you to a voicemail after waiting and waiting on hold.  

Further, the work they do is terrible.  Nearly every thing they've touched they've had to come back and fix again.  No pride in the work they do.  I've twice had to ask for different technicians to find a good one.  They have a few but over work them.  

They won't prioritize serious issues.  Plumbing leaks, don't care.  AC issues, can't be bothered.  Please stay away if you can help it.  I know they are desperate for work so they're partnering with some home warrantee companies.  Which makes you wonder why they are in such need of work in this environment.

The technician that came by to inspect our external water pips for any leaks, arrived in the scheduled time frame. He was courteous, professional and friendly. He was very thorough in his inspection and gave us a very thorough brief on his inspection results, which ultimately provide us with enough information to make an informed next step. Thank you!

If I could give negative stars I would. McAtee appears to be the main plumbing provider for my home warranty company. I have had the unfortunate experience to have the come to my home to fix 3 repairs now. The first, about a year ago, was to my exterior water line. Took almost a week because they did no have a pump to remove the water from the hole and had to wait for it to drain. Sadly, the same leak, in the same spot, happened again 3 month later. Then this spring I had issues with my sewer line and only needed to have my toilet snaked. They refused to snake my toilet, instead dug up one cover on my septic and said it was full and I needed to have it pumped. I told them it was done less than 3 years ago and the 2 men said it was common for them to fill up so quickly with all the rain we have been having. (I have a good sized leech field). So I called a septic company and they came out and there was really nothing to pump and come to find out, the line was just clogged, imagine that?!?! But this last time takes the cake. They came out last Thursday to fix a leak in my crawl space. They were here for less than 10 minutes. The young man left without checking things inside and not saying much. I went to use my sink to have brown water come out with very little water pressure. I immediately called McAtee and as usual, got their voice mail. I then called my home warranty company who managed to get ahold of them. I explained to McAtee I did not have use of my kitchen sink, downstairs bath or my shower, but other things were working. They sent their technician out who came into look at the water pressure. He first told me, the pressure looked fine and then said, to my face, he believes I am lying and this is a pre-existing condition and he excused himself to call his company. If this was a pre-existing condition, why wouldn't I have had my warranty company fix this too?!?! He refused to go and look at the work he did and although I tried to explain the facts to him, he said I was being confrontational and argumentative. But I guess that is how some people feel when you call out their shoddy work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They do not stand behind their work, are rarely on time, very difficult to get ahold of directly and have always done it wrong with the issues they have worked on for me.

I had to deal with these people through HomeServe for a plumbing warranty.  They are dishonest, lie about what the issue is and never call you back.  Do not ever call them.

Our experience with McAtee was awful. They were dispatched by our home warranty company to inspect a clogged sewer pipe that was backing up into a basement shower. Upon arrival, they tried to run a line to find the clog for a few minutes, gave up, used our plunger for a while, and then left saying that they didn't know what the issue was and that they'd be in touch. The techs were careless, inept, and left overflowing sewage water to run out of the shower to seep beneath our bathroom's floorboards (without telling us that there was an overflow at all). When I contacted McAtee and our warranty company about this, they denied doing so (though we had photos). The same technicians came back over a week later to run a camera, and left saying they'd located a clog. Then we received a phone call two days later telling us we had a collapsed pipe and it would cost about 2k to fix AFTER we completely demoed our bathroom (on our own, or paid them extra for the work). We've since heard nothing back from them despite our calls & requests for more information. When we asked for the footage/file from the camera, the office person (Ashley) said that wasn't something she could do and she forwarded me to Brett Imperial's voice mail. I left him three messages, none were returned. They did get in touch with First American with a higher estimate, but no camera footage was provided. Almost a month later, we've resolved the issue with another local company (paying out of pocket instead of trying to haggle with First American). Turns out there is no evidence of a collapsed pipe, but it was a blockage that they were able to clear (in about 1.5 hours -- and without creating a giant mess). That McAtee claimed otherwise (and then ignored all requests for the camera footage that they were paid $325 for) is highly suspect. At best, they were incompetent; at worst, they are dishonest.

Absolutely dishonest company.  I would NOT recommend using them.  They were sent out to my property by my insurance company to deal with a backing up sewer line.  After multiple calls they ran a camera in the sewer and determined there was a collapse.  They marked it in my yard on my property.  They called insurance company back and got approval for the work.  When they found out the break was CLOSE to the city sewer main then got cold feet called my insurance company back and told them the break was in the road outside of my property.  They break is still in my BACK yard no where near a road and very clearly on my property.  Its just close to a main and the didn't want to dig that close to a main and risk damaging it.  They called back and LIED to my insurance company to avoid doing the job they were hired to do.

This company is horrible! For starters, McAtee Plumbing was at least 2 hours late outside of their promised timeframe of arrival both times they came to my home. In which was very inconvenient and lacked respect of my time.
The second time they came was for an appt to replace my toilets based on the recommendation of their plumber from the first visit. A totally different plumber came and had no idea he was there to replace toilets. What kind of company sends an employee on an assignment without providing a summary of their assignment??? The guy was completely lost. Then whoever the lady is that takes the calls was so rude and nasty! Rather than a simple apology for the mix up she spoke to me as if it was my issue! Then had the nerve to tell me the first plumber was not qualified to  recommend new toilets! Lol! So now you're telling me you sent an unqualified plumber to my home???? NEVER AGAIN! I told First American to NEVER send this most unprofessional company to my home again!

I usually don't or ever write bad reviews but in this case I commit myself to do so. The most horrible service I ever had.!!!  I was in the process relocating my business & needing plumbing done. I got 4 bids and I end up with McAtee. Jason the tech came down and gave me a reasonable estimate. I decided to work with them. Dawn whom works at McAtee told me that Jason (plumber) will come out and do the work for me on Tues. Mon. the day before the work got a call from Dawn saying it's an emergency and we need Jason on Tues. ( Was a little disappointing but ok). Then Tues. got a call from Dawn again saying they (McAtee) needs Jason on Tues. & that Wed will be for sure. (ok, at this point I'm kind a nervous because I need my shop to be open)...Wed. morning Dawn calls again, now she's being ridiculous saying that I promise you Jason will be yours all day Thursday & Friday...I told her  it is what it is but I'm not happy about it. So, Thurs. late morning got a call from Dawn....now she says Jason is no longer with the company...she saysWork with me & I'll try to get you another plumber by next week. Well, end of the day no phone calls what so ever. Bottom line this company wasted my time and I would respect it if they told me earlier so I could move on to another plumber company. luckily last minute I found an amazing plumber that respect my time and have the decency to be upfront if he couldn't do something. Just be honest and stop THE BULL SHIT.! I will tell everyone I know about my experience with this company. I am a member of Angies' list, google,yelp,etc....This is my 1st bad review ever. Read my yelp I always try to support local and small business. But not this one...Horrible..I don't know how they stay in business.

Our home warranty company scheduled us with McAtee when our furnace went out. They know we are stuck with them and have been drawing out this process for weeks now, while we are without heat in our home. There was a 5 day wait to get on the calendar to begin with. After an emergency scheduling problem, McAtee put us at the end of the line and we had to wait 5 more days to have a technician come out. A part had to be ordered and we were told we would have it in a day or two. We are now being told we have to wait a week for someone to come back and fix it. It is extra frustrating that we are waiting on a simple valve - it seems they should be able to work us in. The technician's first comment was how cold it is in our house - of course it is, we are on 3 weeks without heat and McAtee's staff doesn't seem to care. Will never recommend this company and would never use them if it weren't for being stuck by the warranty company.

DO NOT USE !! GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO ONE OF THE MANY COMPANIES THAT ARE HONEST !! I took 9-16-15 off to be here when they arrived. While waiting I happened to look out the window and see the McAtee truck out front and the guy walking back to the truck . I assumed they were here to work . With the truck out front I went outside and moved my car down the driveway to make room for them. When getting out of my car the gas co. man showed up to mark there lines. A neighbors truck was parked over the valve the night before and I asked the gas man if he needed me to move the truck. All while the guys from McAtee where in their truck right there. As I was crossing the street to have my neighbor move his truck, McAtee drove off. I waited , for them to come back around and when they didn't I called their office. I was told they knocked then left because no one was home and a truck was over the valve. I live in a tiny house and can hear from every corner yet I heard no knock. I looked out the window , that's how I knew they were there. I assumed they seen the job and it was harder than they expected seeing how the leak was under the driveway so they left..And the rude girl on the phone was was practically calling me a liar and sticking with no one was home. The gas co.and the neighbors, who were outside, can confirm I was here. And we were all out side a few feet away while they were here. They would have to be deaf and blind to make their lie believable. That's how they treat customers. With Lies. Unprofessional !! TIMES ARE HARD AND THERE ARE A LOT OF HONEST GUYS WHO WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS. USE THEM. NOT THESE SHADY PEOPLE AT MCATEE !!
