Jason did a great job keeping me informed of the progress and steps for all my tasks. he helped me fix and find some missing parts for my appliances as well. He is thorough and professional.

Our home's side door was damaged due a break-in. After texting him pics of the damage, Jason from Petersen Home Solutions called back quickly and talked through the potential fix. He came by soon thereafter and was able to meticulously remove the damaged portion of the door frame and replace it with a new piece. He was very clear of the what the door fix would look like before the work started, so no surprises after the work was done. He spent longer than expected but honored the original agreed upon price. The door fix is great and the door is more secure now than before the break-in. Will definitely keep PHS in mind for future work.

I contacted Jason last night to get a quote on removing a satellite dish from the top of my garage. He quickly responded and indicated that he would be able to come out this morning to do the work. Jason arrived on time and worked efficiently to remove the satellite dish and fill in the remaining holes in my shingles with silicone sealant. Since he was already here, I also asked him to remove a satellite dish from the side of my house. He was also able to quickly do that and patch up remaining holes in the masonry.

Front door started falling off its hinges.  Started to look like I'd have to put in a new door and rebuild the frame.  Jason came by and warned me of this and said he'd do his best.  He was determined to get it working again and save me the money from rebuilding. Our wood garage side door was totally falling apart and Jason came by to assess it and gave us a really great quote. He was very quick in his response on Yelp and very honest in what the work was going to entail once he saw the door in person. The door ended up being an odd size and there was some additional work on the frame but he was able to get everything done in a timely manner and told us of all of the changes upfront so that we had no surprises. I would definitely hire Petersen home solutions again and recommend them to others.

He was very honest. He gave me some bad news about the condition of my home that I needed to hear.

Very limited service.  I had a quite a few things that needed to be done, but he was able to do just a little things, not bigger ones like door replacement, because that requires 2 people. He did a good job on things he fixed,  I can say he's a pro at putting a caulk. But 2 things got broken already just after 2 months, I know it's a year warranty,  but I won't even bother. Need someone who can do more.
And I think he charges a little too much, $365 for around 4 hrs of labor...
He has a lot of knowledge about what he's doing,  but I don't need an advice I need things to be done. His customer service not impressive also. I do not recommend his service, unless it's a really small job.

I had Jason out for a series of door-related jobs (reversed the swing of some basement doors and repaired a few others that would not close correctly) as well as some other odds and ends. He's a straight shooter who does quality work. Highly recommend.

Jason was great. I had a problem with my stairs to my basement and got a hold of jason thru yelp. I then got a text and phone call to discuss the problem. Jason was at my house within hours and able to give me a good solid fix that was cost effective. Really appreciated his promptness and expertise.

I contacted Petersen Home Solutions looking for someone to replace a threshold at the base of an oddly shaped doorway. Mr. Petersen came and quickly provided a professional assessment. Instead of the new threshold I thought I needed, he suggested that he fix  my entryway. In no time, he fortified the existing threshold and managed to seal the air drafts that had been coming through.
He came early with a 'can do' attitude and was very knowledgeable about his trade. All this, and he saved me money by fixing my existing equipment.

I had a very unusual problem - the door to my crawl space had swelled so much that we could no longer get it open. I called Jason on a Friday morning and he had the door opened and trimmed down to fit by 1:00pm that day. He couldn't have been a nicer, more accommodating professional. He'll be the first person I contact if I have any home issues in the future. Highly recommended.

I struggled to find a contractor to install a support for my front porch. Other contractors either would not return my calls or would assist only if I agreed to have the siding replaced on my entire home which is not needed. Jason promptly returned my call, explained what needed to be done,  the concerns and completed the work at a very reasonable cost. I greatly appreciate his work ethic, kindness, professionalism and skill.

Jason got back to me very quickly about our issue with our front door becoming extremely hard to open and close. He was able to come out the next day and spent ample time checking to see if we had any spots where water was finding its way in and possibly damaging the door frame. Thankfully that larger issue was not occurring but Jason was still able to repair our door so the swelling frame was no longer a problem, and now the door works perfectly. He explained everything he was doing and even finished faster than he had estimated. We will definitely call him again if we have other home repair needs!

Jason is responsive, courteous and transparent. Even though the repair on the window trim I needed was not possible due to the low outdoor temperature and will eventually involve more specialized labors, he explained in detail about the probable cause of the rot so that I can understand how the material he would be applying can prevent the further damage to the structure until spring. Additionally he shared the valuable information regarding what to ask when it comes to the time to hiring a window installer. He didn't have to, but he did. Knowledge is the key to communicating better with any contractors so I really appreciated his tips. While I've never used a handyman service before, I was very surprised & impressed that he showed the itemized receipt for the materials and charged for only the one he ended up using. I happened to have the wood filler he was going to open a brand new tub. When I politely asked him to use mine instead of ending up having 2 open containers, he gladly accepted my request and never charged for the tub he already spent his time purchasing. Again, he didn't have to, but he did. I think that shows he cares about building a good customer relationship and I truly respect that level of integrity and care.

Jason is the best! He was extremely responsive, and got my issue fixed quickly (same day)! He went above and beyond in helping me fix it, and I couldn't be happier with his service.

The contractors who built our home did a terrible job so he worked with the repairs as best as he could and tried to save us money by not having to replace everything like other handymen said we needed to. Jason responded promptly on the Sunday evening that I called, texting me a quote and making arrangements to come out to repair the soffit that  had ripped off the house after a windy day. He showed up a day later, on time and explained what went wrong and what he would do to repair it. He texted me after the job was through and sent me pics of the repair telling me what he did. He was courteous, professional and did a great job.

I didn't realize how much I needed help from Petersen Home Solutions until the project had started.  Thank heavens Jason and his team have secret special skills in addition to great overall abilities.  
Needed rubber safety stair treads installed in a stairwell of five story walk-up fraternity house built in the 1920s - easy enough I figured.  Interviewed five companies.  Jason responded to my inquiry quickly and came to look at the job within 24 hours.  Turns out he has extensive stair experience.  His bid outlined issues that could reveal themselves as old covering was removed, and related costs.   No one else brought up potential problems and I would've been either hit with unexpected additional cost and/or ended up with inferior work or both.   Thank God I thought hmm I'll hire someone with specific experience.
After pulling the old covering Jason found TWO concrete steps that WEREN' T ATTACHED to the overall iron frame - just barely held in place with caulk.  OMG imagine how bad that could've been.  Can't believe the boys never disengaged them completely.  Can't believe my luck that Jason found and repaired them before catastrophe hit.  My heart's still skipping beats 'cause I secretly love my frat boys and would be devastated if they were hurt.
His price was neither highest not lowest.  His project timeline was accurate.  He and he crew were reliable, sensible, nice and did a clean job.  I got text updates when necessary.  Jason neither wasted my time nor failed to explain odd challenges and nuances he came across.  
In addition to the stairs, Jason showed me how to use a belt sander correctly and took a look at a weird problem I figured would be expensive to address; he came up with a perfect $20 solution.  Plus he looked at some random steps that worried me and explained why the issues were cosmetic.  I'm in love, what can I say?
I'll use Petersen Home Solutions again and again.  Jason properly (and correctly turns out) addresses potentially odd situations in old residences and, consequently, doesn't give cookie cutter bids or change pricing mid-job.  You know, when you're almost hostage to whoever's doing the work.

Hi my name is George from Des Plaines I found Jason's name on yelp I called him to have some work done in the house replacing ceiling tiles in the basement and some tiles in my kitchen and come loose. Jason was very professional when he came out. Gave me his estimate told me everything that was going to be needed and how he was going to take care of it. He came out on a Sunday and took care of everything. I would highly recommend him to do work and I will definitely have him probably do more work around my house.

We found Jason on yelp and with all 5 star reviews so we decided to call. And are we glad we did ... He got back to us quick to set up an appointment for a quote. Jason is very friendly knowledgeable and HONEST! Can't say honest enough. We needed some heavy mirror closet doors hung and some electrical work. All his work is A+ and he even helped us trouble shoot a problem with our kitchen lights. We will be using Jason in the future for more work we need done.
If you need a handyman, do yourself a favor and call. You won't regret it.

Jason was fantastic. He was extremely professional, gave many options and was very reasonably priced. We had multiple items that needed to be done around the house. Throughout the initial walk thru, Jason constantly gave great suggestions and feedback. If there was something he was not able to do or felt that a different expert could do it better he would say so. He'd explain what needed to be done and what I could expect for pricing for parts as well as labor. While replacing our chandelier, the chandelier we had chosen would not work given the prior owner had caused some damages to the drywall so a flush mount was needed. Jason walked us thru different options and did not want us to be without a front entrance or to be waiting and immediately picked out our new choice and had it installed. While at the store he went thru multiple boxes of the new lighting we had choose until he found one where the box was not damaged. Not only did he make sure that the fixture was in tact, but he did not even charge for the time spent having to shop for the light. Our basement has some halogen lights that sometimes were not turning on immediately. He diagnosed the problem and did not try to push for us to replace what was needed as the lights worked and as long as we were ok with the short start delay it was not a hazard or would cause any other issues. For every project Jason made sure to confirm exactly what we wanted before performing the task and then afterwards would walk us thru what was done and if we needed to be aware of anything. I highly recommend Jason as he does great work, is trustworthy, and works to save you money but not at the expense of quality. Jason is extremely sought after so be prepared to be on a waiting list but he is well worth the wait.

Jason communicated well, and efficiently regarding the work I needed done. It was an unusual job, so he went to take a look at the house before quoting, and provided a price range, rather than a fixed price. The actual cost came in near the bottom of the range, which just shows he is honest, and just making sure the client is prepared for the worst case scenario. I will reach out to him again when I have more work I need completed!

Jason is the best. I had some plumbing issues at my Parents 2 flat and was able to coordinate a visit remotely. Was on time and gave a heads up on the way. Jason suggested some fixes that required a plumber and what to ask for and informed me of what was needed so I would not be taken advantage of. Saved me a bundle and is very fair and honest. I will definitely use again.

Jason was awesome ! He told me everything straight forward before he started with the complexities of mounting this heavy shelf to my wall . He provided additional support to the shelf so it would not dip down . Most contractors beat around the bush with the estimates but Jason was spot on and I will definitely use him again

Jason replaced part of the water pipes leading to two of our outdoor water spigots and installed a water shutoff so we could turn the water off and drain the pipe in the fall so the pipe wouldn't freeze. He also put together our basement rec room after we had a leak and had to take down all the paneling. He put everything back together (like assembling a jigsaw puzzle) and installed new basement and window trim. He did a fantastic job on each project. Honest, reliable, knowledgeable and well worth the cost of what we paid him. We'll definitely use him again.

It's a pleasure dealing with Petersen Home Solutions.  I found this company on Yelp where Jason responded to my inquiry quickly.  He went to our 2 flat apartment to respond to a tenant concern about a toilet that wouldn't flush.  Jason went to the property at the time he said he would be there.  He was awesome at communicating to me what he saw and assisted in making a good financial decision.  Although I made a choice to spend more money by doing the job right, I stand behind the fact that it was the right choice.  This is especially true because Jason takes a lot of pride in doing things correctly and he warranties his work.

We have a leaking in our living room ceiling near the bay window and really want to get it fixed before the temperature drop and the rain/snow starts to hit.  It was only a very short time window. We are very glad we found Jason. He was very responsive and honest when we first tried to get a estimate and time schedule. He came in time and did some investigation around the leaking, and caulked the gap between the bay window and the exterior wall. I asked Jason to install 15 fire extinguishers in a building.  He gave a reasonable quote, did the job correctly and on time and cleaned up afterwards.  He also was very honest about other improvements that I asked about - giving the most reasonably priced solutions.  I was very impressed with his knowledge and his eye for detail.  Highly recommended.

Contacted them through email on 7/30/19 and never heard a peep back. This seems to be an epidemic among companies now, it's always been hard to find quality contractors, but now it seems hard to find someone to even get back to you. The economy must be going really well, no one seems to want to take jobs. If they won't get back to you before they even make a sale (when they should be the most motivated), I wouldn't expect quality work or lines of communication after the sale.

We were requiring a panel along the our main entrance door to be replaced. Thankfully, Jason (the owner) was available and helped us out. He was very expedient in replying to us and working with us on what our options were. Most importantly, he was very communicative and honest with us. He also was able to schedule in the work, the day after we contacted him, because it was something that wouldn't take a long time. We can't thank Jason enough for the great customer service. Not only did he fix what we contracted him to fix, he left it in better condition than it originally was. Highly recommend Jason!

He reinforced a closet rod and shelf for us and was able to adapt a new bracket to conform to existing hardware so we did not have to buy new shelving. He did a great job--it's very sturdy. I reached out to Petersen with a request to re-hang a door that had blown off of the hinges leading to my garage door. Jason Petersen was fantastic from the first call: I sent him pictures of the issues, we talked a bit over text as well as on the phone, and he was able to squeeze me into his schedule truly saving the day. Upon seeing the actual door and frame, he was able to explain why the original builder set up the door the way he did. He put in new hinges and sunk much stronger screws. His price was very fair and he cleaned up after himself. I am super pleased with the outcome and will be calling Jason again for future projects.

I found petersen home solutions on yelp and contacted Jason through the app. I needed a estimate on closing a in-the-wall ac vent in a investment property. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He is looking for the best solution for YOU, not the easiest way to fill his pockets. I would recommend using Petersen home solutions!

The house I grew up in needed a major freshening up and the job was going to be much more involved than I or my parents were capable of doing. 3 bedrooms needed painting ( including ceilings), the back stairwell needed to be painted, the front entrance needed new tile, the living room needed to be painted and worst of all the wallpaper needed to be stripped in the long hallway leading to the bedrooms and then needed to be painted as well. Basically, the entire house needed a make-over.

    After shopping around for painters, handymen, and everywhere in-between, we decided to go with Petersen Home Solutions. Jason, the owner of the company came over to provide a free estimate and offered many suggestions as to how to proceed with the project. Jason was very knowledgeable and presented a game-plan that we were comfortable with and we decided to hire him on. The main selling point was that he informed us that he would not leave the project until completion i.e. would not take any other jobs or leave our house a mess while he worked elsewhere. Having heard horror stories of half completed work and other nightmares, this promise gave us the piece of mind needed to begin this large project. Thank goodness we made the decision as we could not have been more pleased with the results.

   Jason began the process by allowing us to pick the paint, color-scheme and even the store we wanted to get the supplies from. After we made our decision, he did all the shopping and picked out the supplies necessary to do the job. Having obviously saved all the receipts, Jason completed the first days work, got our approval and charged us for the supplies and the hours worked (extremely reasonable rate!!). He then informed us that he would not seek any further monies until completion of the job.

   The bedrooms were the first to be finished and the paint job was wonderful. The place looked brand new! On a side note, Jason was very informative and explained his process while he was working. This may not seem very important, but I was able to learn a lot while watching him work. He was also very honest with us. The wallpaper stripping was going to be the main adventure with this job. He informed us that even though we wanted everything off the walls and them re-painted, the walls were very old and made of plaster, not drywall and that could pose a potential problem. He assured us that we would find an appropriate solution.

   After the bedrooms were completed, the back stairwell and ceiling was completed. After watching how difficult and seemingly dangerous the task looked, I was amazed at how he worked. Being charged a very reasonable hourly rate, I was thrilled at the efficiency with which the job was done. The living area and tile was done next, again flawless. The hallway was the last piece of the puzzle and also the one that could pose the biggest problem.

   As Jason began to peel the paper from the wall he discovered that there was not just 1 layer, but rather 3 layers of paper and a layer of paint on the wall. It would be nearly impossible to get it off. Jason decided that the best way to proceed was to get a steamer and begin the arduous task of steaming all the layers of paper off. After watching this process I never wanted to see wallpaper again. Remarkably all of the wallpaper was able to be removed after a long and difficult process. Jason stayed with the process and made the best of a bad situation. When the paper had all been removed Jason was able to paint the walls and they looked remarkable. I felt like I was in a completely different home.

  Finally, as everything was now looking amazing , the front window sills we had tried to stain ourselves a few years earlier stuck out like a sore thumb. We asked Jason if he would be able to fix them for us. Even though this was not part of the original contract and was going to require more time, Jason made sure he finished them for us before starting his next job. I even heard him turn down a job because he was not finished with ours. While I felt bad, it was at that moment when we realized that he was a man of his word and that he really cared about the quality of the job he was doing.

  On the final day of the job, Jason fixed various odds and ends with the house while he was waiting for the final layer of paint to dry. Doorbell chime, outlets, a chipped piece of wood, and even moving furniture back for us, all just to make our home look better, on his own time.

  Overall, I could not be happier with Jason, Petersen Home Solutions, or how beautiful our house now looks thanks to the hard work and dedication from an owner of a company that really does get it. It was a nice surprise and a pleasure to deal with a company and owner for that matter that is not satisfied until the customer is and puts the paying customer first. I  recommend Petersen Home Solutions to everyone that needs work done on their homes and I will no doubt hire again!!!!!

I was very pleased with Jason's work. I had a challenging door problem that two other handyman said they could not do. Jason said he would do his best and was able to tackle the problem. He's busy so it took a little back and forth to get scheduled but ended up being worth it.

I found Jason through yelp reviews and I'm sooo glad I did! I needed to install a door in my home in a really awkward sized doorway where a door shouldn't be. It looks absolutely perfect, like it was meant to be there! We had to custom order a door and he installed the framing and did everything. He was super fair with pricing, always quick to reply and always on time when he said he'd be there. Will definitely hire him for another other jobs I need and would recommend him to anyone.

This review is long overdue. I have been working with Jason for a few years now and trust me when I say, there is absolutely no one like him. Seriously, there is nothing this guy doesn't know. He is the most knowledgable contractor you will ever meet. His pricing is fair and he will gladly break down costs for you. He is the only contractor we've ever had that always provides receipts for every single material purchased. Its hard to find an honest contractor but trust me, Jason will never take advantage of you. Additionally, he is an all around great guy. He goes above and beyond and does way more that he is required to. I text him all the time and ask for advice on home repairs, building codes and he always sends me a lengthy text back or will give me a call. I've had a few appointments with building inspectors and Jason would clear his schedule just to be here and to make sure I don't get hassled. As a man who runs his business on his own, has a family, and growing clientele, I am just blown away by his commitment to his customers. He cares about every single customer and I believe he has treated us like family. When I met Jason I was new to homeownership and he has educated me on more than I could have ever imagined. He has kept me calm when I was about to lose my mind. Go ahead and enjoy Jason while you can because I already told him that if we move he has no choice but to come with us!

Jason is professional, experienced, knowledgable, and meticulous.  He installed a new door lock and adjusted the other lock so that so that all locks turn smoothly in this older home.  Caulking of tub and kitchen sink meticulously even with very little caulking used.  Light electrical work was completed effortlessly.  In the process, I learned more about my house than I ever new after living here for two decades.  He treated my house as if it were his own.  His pricing is fair and a bargain if you value a job done by addressing the root of the problem instead of a shallow fix.  He advised me on work that didn't need to be done.  He will return to repair damage to the garage ceiling from a leak above.

So far, I have only gotten an estimate on ceiling work. But, from my experience with the estimate alone, I was very impressed with how professional, punctual, and honest Jason was. He made a 45 min trip out to the northern suburbs for an estimate, took his time and walked us through the service options and prices, educated us on pretty much EVERYTHING in the house and what to check on every year to make sure everything runs smoothly, and how to fix our current project if we were to do it ourselves. Jason was prompt and patient and willing to adjust his schedule to fit mine. He explained pros/cons of what type of floor to be installed, showed up on time and his work was excellent.

Jason is the man.  Super professional, punctual, and more than fair.  I had a door that was installed incorrectly, so it was hard to open - just a piece of work that anyone else would have said needed complete replacement at the tune of $1000+.  Jason squeezed me in between other appointments (he is usually booked up to 3 weeks in advance), did some creative magic to get the doors functional.  Worked for 3 hours, but only charged me the minimum of 2 hrs.  I asked if I could pay him for his full time, but he said simply, I just want you to have a functional door...I pride myself on being fair and that's how I do business.  Hands down recommend for anyone with door issues.

We've done our kitchen in stages and when I started noticing the wall crumbling near the faucet I knew it was time to get the back splashes done ASAP. I contacted a tiler who does small jobs after hours . He came out, told me the quantity of tiles to buy, never gave me an estimate, and never came back. So I went to YELP which is becoming my go-to place, and contacted Petersen Home solutions.Jason came in a few days. He took measurements and told me he would contact me in a few days. When he did, he gave me the actual cost. If he finished earlier, he would charge less. No surprises. I prefer someone who takes a few days to get back to me and gives me an accurate cost rather than someone who spouts a teaser cost.
He was respectful of my time and my home. Let me tell you, he's a perfectionist! I had already purchased a tile, but because of lack of assistance, was somewhat problematic. Jason took his time and placed it perfectly, paying attention to detail. It looks wonderful! I thought his pricing was fair but I don't have a comparison either.
I had other questions about my home and he patiently explained and gave me good advice. I will definitely be using Petersen Home Solutions in the future for various home problems!

Jason was friendly, honest, and professional.  We had a repair that needed to be performed in our attic and called this company based on the great reviews.  Jason responded to my call promptly and provided me with a very fair quote.  He made the repair and also did a walk through of our home to spot other potential issues.  You can tell that he really cares about his customers and his work.

If there were 6 stars I would have given him 6!  I asked Jason for an estimate on some ceiling work at my elderly father's house - when he entered the basement where the ceiling needed some work, he found that there were 3 inches of water on the floor!  He immediately went into rescue mode - he dropped everything to get the water out and make sure my father was safe.  He repaired the sump pump and also gave me  information regarding insurance.  That was several weeks ago and my father has had no issues since.  Not only did Jason do an excellent job during an emergency but was also kind and understanding to my 92 year old father.  He takes the time to explain the what and why of what he's doing - and is extremely honest.  Oh, he's going to do the ceiling too......and I'll call him anytime anything else needs to be done.

Absolutely fabulous!  I was in need of a modification on refaced cabinets to fit the dimensions of a new refrigerator.  I happened to find Petersen online.  Not only was I able to text him pics of what I was looking to do, he came out on short notice, did a PERFECT job, and was utterly amazing.  I am so impressed, I'm passing his info onto my parents, friends, and anyone I know.  He is fantastic!!  I highly recommend Jason!!  He is outstanding!!!

Jason was tasked with a laundry list of random jobs and tackled them all head on in a timely fashion. Although everything wasn't able to be fixed, he went above and beyond to try multiple parts. In end, I really appreciated his straight forward approach. He is great about managing his time and getting parts/supplies etc. He also let me pester him with questions as he walked me through things.

I plan on calling him again in the future.

My wife and I were so impressed by Jasons work and his honesty that we would recommend him to friends and family without hesitation! During the busy holiday season he was able to come by and finish a few projects with which we are extremely grateful! If you are in need of a Handyman, Jason is your guy.  He is VERY knowledgeable and passionate about his work.  We just bought a house and needed some work done.  Jason was available immediately to come inspect our house. He also teaches and explains things to you about your house.  He is very good at what he does and is very fairly priced.  We need to get carpeting in our bedroom and we will use Jason.   I would highly recommend Petersen Home Solutions.

Jason is a jack of all trades. He installed a new kitchen sink and faucet, put in a new outdoor security light, and installed a shelf for me all in the same day without multiple  
trips to the Home Depot.  He came prepared!

I think calling Jason a handyman just doesn't give him enough credit. I had the pleasure of meeting Jason 2 weeks ago this Sunday when he came out to give me a quote on some little stuff I had around the house that needed to be done. his knowledge and expertise were way above par, he knew so much and had such awesome vision. He really knows his stuff and he's so professional he's not looking to make a quick buck if something doesn't need to be fixed he doesn't tell you it does. He gives honest and educated opinions and facts and make sure you understand everything that he is talking about. He's very busy but makes sure that he returns every phone call and set up appointments and personally comes out to meet everybody even though he has such a jam-packed schedule, like I said earlier he came out on a Sunday and it was pouring rain and walked around my entire house to assess to give me an honest educated opinion about what needed to be fixed. He was so thorough and didn't rush and even gave me some great solutions to some storage problems that I had. I look forward to working with Jason from Peterson Home Solutions very soon

We recently hired Petersen Home Solutions to install new doors, trim and paint our kitchen. We were very pleased with the entire experience. After a nasty winter, our basement flooded resulting in the demolition of the bottom two feet of the drywall from 80% of my basement. Jason did exactly what we wanted - rehung and patched the bottom two feet of the drywall in our crazy basement and got everything primer ready so we could repaint. His prices are incredibly reasonable and he does a great job, and on schedule. He's very upfront about everything, good or bad, and always let us know what was going on. I will definitely hire him in the future for many reasons: friendly, easy to talk to, reasonably priced, very skilled and got the job done fast on our schedule! Thanks Jason!

Petersen Home Solutions is fantastic.  Jason the owner is extremely professional, as honest as they come, and meticulous with his work.  I am a landlord and run a real estate office, so I deal with a lot of contractors all the time.  As we all know, finding the good ones that are mindful of our finances, but also do great work, and are responsive and dependable....well, it's almost easier finding a unicorn.  But Jason is that guy.  He responds to my calls, texts, or emails promptly.  He always walks through things with me first, explains things in great detail, gives me options, and creates safe expectations which almost always end up being cheaper than what he prepares me for (not the other way around like most contractors).  He is jack of all trades, and anything he is uncomfortable with or thinks a specialist is better suited for, he will be forthright with that recommendation and also act as a liaison to make sure the job gets done right.  Simply put, Jason has made property management that much easier for me and I highly recommend him for jobs of all sizes!

Jason recently installed a new range hood in my kitchen.  He did a great job helping me pick out and eventually installing the unit. My kitchen cabinets are about 20 years old so there were some complications when Jason was trying to install the new hood.  Jason explained the issues and was able to come up with fixes to make sure the unit was installed correctly.  Even though the job took longer than originally quoted he kept to his original quoted price. I will be using and highly recommend Peterson Home Solutions for any future projects.  It's difficult to find an honest contractor that is also willing to walk you through the process while he is working on the project.  Thanks Jason, we are enjoying our new hood!

I LOVE my new kitchen!!!  I am so happy that I hired Jason from Petersen Home Solutions to redo my kitchen.  It is exaclty what I wanted, but didn't think I could get.  He is very honest and explained why a couple of things I wanted I ultimately would not be happy with.  Thankfully I set a somewhat realistic budget for the project and Jason made suggestions so that I could get as close to the kitchen as I wanted for what I could spend.

This transformation required a lot of thoughtful planning on his part.  You see, I have a 1950's ranch.  So it is a small space, and original from when the house was built with the exception of a ceramic tile floor I wanted to keep. Due to the layout of the rest of the house, there was little room for reconfiguring and no way to expand.  Somehow, he made it look a lot different (read: better) and way bigger than the old kitchen.  There is a lot of extra work involved when retaining any portion of the old decor. Jason spent the necessary time to make sure the walls and floors were level before painting, installing tile (I luckily had leftover) where the old cabinets came out.  I had two things that were non-negotiable for me.  I found a kitchen sink I absolutely loved, and wanted to add an additional cabinet.  I had a cabinet on one side of the stove, but not the other.  To me it always looked unbalanced and I hated it.  He pondered on that and eventually he worked out some measurements for a custom made cabinet for that area. I did not know you could order stock cabinets, and that  they would be able to custom make just the one to match. Good thing Jason knew. I have no idea how he was able to fit the sink into the base cabinet, but he did.  He assisted me in measuring the appliances and choosing them. They all fit perfectly and he installed them without a hitch.

Other things he installed for me in the kitchen: ceiling fan, undercabinet lights, countertops.  

I can highly recommend Jason for his honesty, work ethic, reasonable price, and creativity.  There's a new bathroom in my future and I have no doubt who I will be calling.

My basement flooded and I thought it was the end dof the world! I called a few places from Angie's list and I was not happy with the quotes and  the people who came out seemed like car salesmen( trying to get as much money from me as possible) I called Petersen Home Solution and Jason came by that Satruday and walked  me through my options from the least expensive to the most. He was extremely knowledgable and very honest on his opinions of what needed to be done. I took his advice and had him tear out all the carpet and install all new Ceramic tile floor throughout the entire basement. He started on Monday and everything was installed and all the furniture was back in place and ready to go Thursday. He was flexible on the time I needed him there and was super with my dog who guards my house when I'm working(he even bought him treats). I have already recommended him to some of my co-workers and I will have him back when I do my 2nd floor addition. Great job at a great price!  Thanks again!
