Mr Paxson was very professional. He arrived on time, provided a written estimate via email, followed his estimate, was polite, cleaned up his mess... fantastic experience!

I've used Eddie at Electra-City 3 times now.  

The first time was to install a switch in my garage to control the garage door opener to get it up to code.  

The second time was to replace some switches with wi-fi switches that I bought for my home.  

The third time was to install two hard-wired ring security cameras to replace the existing lights in my backyard and balcony.  

Eddie was great all 3 times.  He's very knowledgeable, friendly, and charges a very fair price.  I would highly recommend him!

Made an appointment & unfortunately several days before the appointment I needed to change the date & reschedule.
I call 4 times with no response or call back.
Each message I left,I told them I needed to reschedule & nobody bothered to return my call.
Not a company I want to deal with.

Beware false advertising / bait and switch. I phoned them for an electrician to simply swap out a few ceiling lights. The scheduler said the technician would have to do a safety check before the work, to make sure it was safe, and that this was $89. They refused to give their hourly or job rate over the phone. The electrician who arrived was friendly and safe (mask booties etc), but instead of checking the lights I wanted swapped, he checked electric installation on entire house which took a long time while I was working and remote school supervising with kids at home. When I asked what the rate was for the light fixture swapout, he said he needed to write up the estimate in the truck for a half hour (!) then would come back, and would I be able to sit down to go over estimate. Way too elaborate. He came back with a laundry list of everything my house needed incl entire rewiring etc -- over 10k! And then n estimate of the price to replace 2 light fixtures (8' ceiling): $450. I'd already done most of the light removal. Outrageous! If I had wanted an estimate for an entire house electrical update, I would have asked for it. All I wanted was changed light fixtures. And the icing on the cake: they defaced my property by putting a non-removeable company sticker on my fuse box. Seriously, people, this is deceptive, dishonest, and time-wasting. I had Northshore electric out the next day and they replaced 3 fixtures for $200, less than half of what Arnold wanted for 2 fixtures. Now I know who NOT to call when I do decide to overhaul the house electric. BEWARE.

My dining room light went out suddenly and I needed to have a flood light replaced. This happened on a Saturday, Eligio returned my inquiry that same day and came out on a Sunday afternoon. Great young man. Fast, courteous and reasonable. He far exceeded my expectation. I already have him lined up to do other projects around my home!!! I truly appreciate him coming out and getting the work done. Quality!

I hired these guys to do a whole bunch of small electrical jobs at our new house. Geronimo provided a quote via Yelp which seemed like a very fair price; not the cheapest but it was on the less expensive side of the quotes I received.

They were right on time, COVID aware, and did the work with care and attention to detail. It's clear that Geronimo and his team take pride in doing a quality job. Communication over Yelp and text was also clear and courteous. I don't think there's much more you could ask for, really.

I recently had an emergency situation and was able to reach these guys. At the time I would have let anybody help me but I'm glad they answered. It turns out the problem was minor and they were honest enough to tell me that. I appreciate the honesty and great service.

Had a GFCI trip during the night for no apparent reason, nothing running at the time.
Called to request that it be checked out. Showed up within 20 minutes, did a thorough evaluation and very reassuring.
Will definitely add to my address book for future use.

Perfect! Had some kitchen lighting installed. Aspire was prompt, creative and knew exactly how to complete my project. After they left, there was no evidence that work had been done - other than the lighting! No mess, no cleanup for me. Highly recommended.

If a zero was possible, that is what I would give this contractor.  I hired him to install under cabinet lights.  He came out with an obviously untrained apprentice who did all of the work while he sat and barked out orders -- screaming at him much of the time.  At one point the apprentice was lost and did not know what to do.  Rather than helping him, he responded -- figure it out idiot and sat there staring at him.  Eventually, I started helping the apprentice myself.  He then billed me over a $1000.  Shortly after I received the bill, he called demanding payment.  I explained that I felt I was overbilled.  But, I agreed to pay him $700 that night if he would consider it payment in full.  He agreed, but has continued sending me invoices for allegedly past due amounts and has even filed a mechanics lien on my house.  Do not use this bully.

Dino was great to work with!! We needed a lot of work done at our church. Outside lights, ceiling fans, install a light in a closet and replace fluorescent lights with LED. His work was top notch. He even was nice enough to pick up the ceiling fans I ordered from Home Depot. I would not trust anyone else to do my electrical work.

who appears to be the person who operates this business was extremely
rude, and unprofessional. I recommended his services to assist an elderly family member, and he treated her like crap. He was rude, disrespectful, and
crass. He speaks to his customers with a negative tone and does not like
you asking him questions about the job you paid him for. He takes advantage of elderly people, by taking their money and informing them if there is a problem with his work, he will continue to charge them if he has to come back to correct his mistakes or inadequacies. He is particularly impolite to women, especially elderly ones. Be aware of this business and its services!!!!!!!!

STAY FAR AWAY from this business.  They are offering deals on Groupon and Amazon Local and not even responding to calls for quotes, etc...  They  will offer you an appointment over a month away and then simply not show up.  It is excuse after excuse from this company and their secretary is completely incompetent!!!!!!!  They don't even deserve a star.  They should not be allowed to operate a business in the State of Illinois or any other state for that matter and if enough people file complaints hopefully they won't!!!!!!!
