This company was recommended to me by a trusted family member, so I did not thoroughly investigate it as I normally would. I had an emergency job at a rental property. Another large company went out first and charged me for a consultation, and then proceeded to try and upsell everything rather than do the work I stated needed to be done. A quick call to Chris with the quotes I was given and he not only beat the price but promised to get the work done that day. My tenant was very pleased with the work. And I was happy as he beat the competitors quote by 25%.
2 days later (Thursday), I discovered a leak in my pipes in Dunwoody. Saturday morning they were there and did a quick job fixing the leak (water bill over $1000 from usual $75) without any unnecessary digging in my yard. I will gladly recommend this company to my friends. Good honest work for a very fair price.

Called in the evening and was told that i would receive a call the next morning to schedule a call which was fine. After 10 am on Friday morning Called back and was told I would receive a call around 3 in the afternoon and that they could probably take care of my small replacement. Still have never received a call.

We had a major issue of continuous pin hole leaks in our copper pipes over a 7-year period after an entire kitchen remodel. K.L. Plumbing replaced all of the copper pipes in our entire home with PEX pipes that carry a lifetime warranty. The owner, Konstantin Lozovyi, was able to answer all our plumbing questions and made several recommendations to improve our plumbing needs to include an excellent upgrade to a Rheem Professional tank with a 12-year warranty and a recirculation pump to provide instant hot water to the farthest reaches of our home from the gas hot water tank. KL Plumbing did a great job on all of the cosmetic restoration requirements with the walls, ceilings and flooring they had to remove to complete the pipe replacement job. K.L. Plumbing were professional, reliable, great communication and always on time. They were very neat and totally cleaned up our home after the completion of the job. Their Quote was fair and service was exceptional. I would use K.L. Plumbing again and recommend them to others.

It's hard to find a high-quality, fair priced company to come fix stuff at your house. So when you find one, it's important to support them. I have found one in The Civilized Plumber.
There are three plumbers at the company: Dale, Doug, and Art. They have different personalities for sure; I can see how some reviewers may prefer someone more affable or another who just gets down to business. I am happy to have all three. And the office manager Nina is impossibly helpful and friendly.
Each time they come to my house, I feel like I'm going to be taken care of. They are much less expensive than the big guys and I they've never tried to sell me something I don't need. They also have taken the time to educate me a little on the way my plumbing works. I feel lucky to have found someone I can trust.

THIS IS A SCAM!
Paid 25% up front, had 3 appointments, and nobody ever came! I was told to pay via Zelle to 720 589 2356 which is registered to a Vanessa.
The # I had been texting with was +1 (470) 250-5970. They refused to talk on the phone, told me I would have to wait 6 months for a partial refund, and even suggested I don't pay the worker that comes out for service! This is insane.

I had a water valve break in my business on Friday night; I would not be able to open for customers the following morning. I called Roto Rooter in hopes of having it repaired that night, as they advertise 24/7 service. They were not able to dispatch a technician until after 8am Saturday, though their after hours phone receptionist tried very hard to make it happen (Four other 24/7 plumbing companies also could not send anyone)
Alex, the technician who arrived promptly the next morning, was professional and knowledgeable. He completed the job quickly and thoroughly, with explanation of his work and solicitation of my input when appropriate.
I was surprised and disappointed at the price, which was about twice what I was expecting to pay. I was in a bind and needed to restore the water to open my business for a busy weekend; if I had been able to I would have solicited another estimate. Alex told me the price in advance.
I was happy with the service and finished product from Alex.

Please read this complaint, as well as previous complaints on Yelp and sites like the Better Business Bureau and Angie's List before hiring Steve Malone. Once doing so, you'll understand the pattern of deceit Steve employs.
To replace my main water line and fix a drainage issue in the backyard, Steve gave us an estimate of $4,100. I'm a first-time homeowner of a few months, and I was too trusting & naïve to ask for a written quote.
Steve began his con by charging me $1,500 instead of the stated $150 to assess plumbing issues at the house (Steve's response will be that this is a clerical error on his part.)
At the completion of the job, the price increased from $4,100 to $10,000. His reasoning for charging us over 100% of the original price: rock excavation and irrigation repair. I employed a licensed, Master Plumber to estimate the cost and specifics of this job. His estimate was $3,400.
When I asked the 3rd party plumber about the cost of unforeseen subterranean rock, he quipped that our house isn't on Stone Mountain, and that amounts of subterranean granite, as well as irrigation lines, should not increase the original estimate because it is a reasonable and obvious part of the plumbing business.
Steve advertises himself as a Licensed and Independent Plumbing & Heating Contractor. I spoke to the Secretary of State's office and they could not find his license. Furthermore, when asked to provide his license ID number... Steve refused. (Steve recently deleted this claim from his website; however I have a dated screenshot of the previous claim should anyone care to see.)
On my invoice, Steve asserted that parts for the project cost $4,000 (roughly the price of his original estimate). The 3rd party plumber assured us that the parts for this job couldn't have cost any more than $400.
After all the work was done, our irrigation system didn't work. The irrigation service we employed deduced that Steve's sub-contractors had not fixed the irrigation system that Steve charged us over $2,800 to fix. Furthermore, Steve refused to pay the $550 for the irrigation errors that his team caused.
At the end of the day, it was my fault to trust Steve Malone. I signed the invoice and payed him... unaware that I was being taken advantage of, and that this plumbing job should have cost a fraction of what we were charged.
My goal in writing this review is to make sure that no one else makes the mistake of trusting this man.
