Pace Supplies is fantastic, and this evaluation has been long delayed. I've been shopping at JC for almost 10 years. I've come here with numerous plumbing issues over the years, and each time I go, they get me what I need. What's even better is that I generally only bring a photo with me and they have me covered!
I've always been met with warmth, patience, and a willingness to assist. This is who they are; please support them. More enterprises like this are needed.

I checked with my regular plumbing guy (Pina Plumbing)  about an issue that came up late on Friday, it was not something he does so he suggested Dan's Plumbing.  I left a message on Friday and followed up on Monday.  Dan came out Monday night and looked at the issue, arranged to come out Tuesday, which got pushed to Wednesday and then to Thursday (through no fault of Dan).  They came Thursday and within in an hour solved the problem, under the estimate.  Alicia (I am assuming the office manager) kept me up to speed on what was happening and kept me in the loop.  I cannot say enough about how easy it was to work with Dan.  I will definitely use them again.

I have a restaurant in SOMA & needed a quick uninstall and reinstall of the faucet and sprayer for our 3 compartment sink. Zec & Ros responded quickly and did the job within an hour at a reasonable rate. He was very pleasant to work with and even repaired the gaskets on our handsink in the bathroom for no extra charge. To be honest, this was the 3rd plumber/quote I had been through this week and was getting quotes from $500-$1600 for a simple replacement. This is an honest company and I have saved them in my phone! Thanks!

These guys are awesome!

They supply all the high-end brands for your bathroom. For example, Hans Grohe, Grohe, Kohler, Toto, Robern, etc. They are super-friendly, professional and do amazing prices on all their products. In fact, they undercut the prices of the next cheapest supplier between $20-$100 on each fitting I bought from them. That really added up, and meant I could afford more expensive granite for my bathroom renovation!

Also - they were accurate with their delivery estimates. And on a few issues which were complicated, they promptly worked the phones with the manufacturers and then called me back with different options the same day!

Ron was amazing. He came over for free on really short notice to look at my dishwasher that would not drain, even though he said he doesn't work on them. He gave me some great suggestions on how to solve the problem and prevent it in the future. And didn't charge me one red cent. Although we didn't do any actual business this time, since he gave me such great service AND is right in my neighborhood, he's at the top of my list to call next time I have plumbing needs.

Called Reliable Handyman to see if someone could install my expensive ceiling fan and flood lights in my kitchen.   The owner Han responded instantaneously, and my items were installed without any issues.  Clean install and cleaned up afterwards.  Wife is happy; happy wife, happy life!   *Highly recommend* Thanks again, Han!!

Rene and crew are amazing! They not only gave us the best price for our sewer lateral and sidewalk work, but they finished the work in less than a day. We got the work done at a fraction of what we were budgeting. I would highly, highly recommend them if you're reading this review.

I took my toilet apart trying to get a dental appliance that was accidentally flushed, and when I put it together the new wax ring didn't seal.  Better to have a professional reinstall than risk leaking water onto my neighbors.  Of the top plumbers on yelp, these folks were the only ones open till 6pm not 5pm, and they actually answered the phone when I called at 5:58pm.

The Asian woman who scheduled my appointment for 9:30am the next day couldn't give me a quote but said they won't start work until a price is agreed upon.

Two very friendly Asian men showed up at exactly 9:30am (try getting that from your cable guy :-).  Their English was not good enough to really communicate much, but with their boss on the cell phone we communicated  just fine for this simple job.  

The boss quoted $220 to reinstall the toilet, which seemed quite high given that I had already done much of the prep work (removed old caulk and wax rings).  I offered $150, we agreed on $180 including new ring and supply line, other parts extra.

The two workers did the job in about 50 minutes total, and I was happy with the workmanship; no mess left behind.   I noticed that they replaced the valve inside the bowl; the worker's English wasn't good enough for me to get an answer about why that was done, but there was no charge so I'm happy.

Overall, I'd call Urgent again for simple jobs, but might look for native English speakers if there was a job that required lots of communication.  These guys were really friendly.

I called Lee Plumbing to fix a water heater that wouldn't stay on. The pilot light would keep shutting itself off so the water wouldn't heat for very long. Lee Plumbing had to come out THREE times to fix this problem.
First time: Lee didn't fix anything - just tightened some screws and said there wasn't anything obviously wrong - although I told him the problem. Charged me $95.
Second time: Switched out a small part. Charged me $10 for the part, no labor.
Third time: Charged me $360 to replace the control unit (full price for labor and parts) - no discount for the fact that I had already paid him $105 and that it took him 3 visits to fix the problem.
Bottom line: Lee wasted my time and overcharged me. I'm not calling him EVER again. I'm a landlord and have seen my fair share of contractors, so I don't think I'm being unreasonable. I actually signed up for Yelp just so I could write this review and warn others.

I never give reviews online, but feel compelled to do so for Norman. From start to finish, Norman was very professional. We had a variety of things that needed to be fixed, and Norman addressed them efficiently and effectively. He was always responsive, clear, and transparent in his dealings with us. He happily answered all our questions, even those unrelated to the house repairs (he knows a thing or two about bikes!). I have no qualms contacting Norman again for any problems that may arise at our home. I highly recommend his services.

Jeff and his team are excellent! What I value most bout Jeff and his team, is honesty, hard work, and competence! Very hard to find qualities, especially these days. They came in and in 4 hours finished work that a general contractor and his team couldn't do in 4 months! Very impressive! I plan to hire them again in the future! Great job guys!

What a horrible experience. Two guys showed up to give me an estimate to repair my furnace. When i showed them the furnace all they did was look at it and talk to each other and never touched everything. Then they took 2 photos of it and said they had to call their boss. After a brief phone call they told me their boss would call me later with a quote. Not sure how you can determine what is wrong with a machine without actually touching or testing it but what do I know, I'm no expert.

3pm rolled around with no call so i called them. The girl on the phone seemed confused as to why I would be curious as to where my estimate was. I explained that usually when someone comes over they give you an estimate right then and there...that's the point of an estimate. She told me her boss was still researching the part/problem and she would call me before the end of the day.

Well it's been 5 days and I never heard back from them. I called another company and they told me over the phone what they thought was the problem was, can out to verify, fixed the furnace and all is well.

I never write reviews on Yelp but after that horrible service i had to. I have no idea how they have 4 stars on Yelp. Unless you want to waste your time and get nothing fixed DON'T CALL THESE PEOPLE

Highly recommend! They're easy to reach, respond fairly quickly, and send email notifications as well as the invoice so it's easy to keep track of everything. We've hired Discount Plumbing 3 times so far. Once to fix a broken pipe under our kitchen sink, the second time to install a new water heater, and the third time to fix pipes in our bathrooms. All three times we had excellent and quick service. Our first two calls were emergency situations and not only did the plumbers come within a day of calling, they did the job in under an hour. The third time, we had an appointment for only an estimate but the plumber, Carlos G. had the parts in his car and was able to fix it then and there! This saved us time and stress from scheduling another appointment. Carlos was also our plumber for the kitchen sink and was so expedient and efficient that we called Discount Plumbing twice more. Finally, we had estimates from other plumbers and feel that DP is either about the same or even a little less than others.

Tom Friel has been our plumber for over 25 years and that is a testament to what a great job he always delivers. He is thorough and honest and knows what he is doing. Most importantly, he is totally reliable and responsive. The only plumber I would recommend.

Efrain has been coming through for me since 2010 and i've kept his info ever since because he was always so reliable and goes above and beyond.

The most recent calI to Ideal Rooter & Plumbing was just this past Wednesday and i called after business hours since it was an emergency and spoke to a friendly lady who referred me to Jorge since Efrain was out of town.

Jorge arrived 30 min prior to the eta that same evening and we were so glad someone helped us right away since our guest stall shower had backed up.

Jorge was very patient and new exactly what caused the problem. He even noticed our floor was damaged from a previous water leak and gave us an invaluable cost-effective DIY tip.

Discount Plumbing and Rooter responded to my Yelp inquiry. I had an issue with the tankless water heater in a condo that's rented out. They were on site with a plumber within an hour of the first contact. They sent a text with the picture of the technician both to me and to my tenant which was a nice touch. The technician diagnosed the problem and offered a repair the next day or a replacement the same day. I wound up hiring another company who had made a more competitive replacement offer, but their services were professional and I would call them again. What I also appreciated is that they didn't ask for an upfront service charge.

I accidentally lost a very special necklace that went down the drain and called Concord Rooter and Plumbing and received a very fast response. I was able to make a same day appointment. Marco was very informative about the process of getting my necklace out of the drain. My necklace was recovered very quickly in pristine condition. I highly recommend Concord Rooter and Plumbing for any of your rooter and plumbing needs.

We've used Mr. Wu several times over the years, usually to snake the drains. He does it for about $150 depending on the issue. Last visit was $130.
He also came by for a minor problem - didn't need to do anything, gave his recommendation and charged only $20 for the visit!
Reasonable cost for no frills residential plumbing. Communication could be an issue over the phone.
This family (business) are hard workers, gotta respect that.
Not always prompt which is why I rated 4 instead of 5.

EBMUD alerted me that my water use is quadrupled (?!?) this past few months...and after being told to wait for a few months by another leak detection team I looked up other options and found USA Leak Detector. Khalil and David were super helpful and thorough. I really appreciated their time and effort and the detailed report that Khalil wrote for EBMUD. I'll use them again and recommend them highly.
