Zec & Ros Plumbing

Called Zec & Ros when none of the plumbers I'd previously used could put me on their schedule today to replace a kitchen sink drainpipe that had rusted out and broken.  Luis answered the phone, said he could make it late in the afternoon, and ultimately beat his estimate by a couple of hours.  

He did a good job with the repair, he's pleasant, honest, efficient, and the price was fair.  I will absolutely call him the next time I need plumbing work, it's a pleasure to find a good plumber who isn't flaky (some of them are...)

UPDATE:  What's the old saying? When it rains it pours :) The garbage disposal started leaking not long after my original review so we put in a call to Luis for help. He assessed the problem and explained possible solutions. We ended up just replacing the unit. He was able to get the new one from Home Depot and install it all on the same day. Zec & Ros to the rescue!

I'm not the handiest guy (fortunately the wife loves me despite this shortcoming). So when it came time to replace a kitchen and bathroom faucet, I thought Might as well get an expert to do it right the first time.

I asked for quotes from a few different plumbers for what I figured, based on  YouTube tutorials, was a pretty straightforward job. Most wanted to come onsite to provide estimates / those that did give me quotes in the $400-500+ range.

So I was really happy when Zec & Ros Plumbing gave me a flat-rate quote that was much more reasonable (like half that cost). Luis came to my home the very next day - high-quality installation - and no surprises on the cost. He even tightened up a few other bathroom faucets for me (no more wobbly shower knobs!). This is the great experience that comes to mind when I think of a true, local plumber, and I'll be working with Zec & Ros again if I ever have any future plumbing issues.

I called around to several companies and had a hard time reaching anyone to begin with, and anyone I reached couldn't get to my urgent issue until the next day at the earliest.
Zec and Ros answered right away and got to my house within 20 min. It took less than 20 minutes to fix the problem. He was very friendly and polite. He also wore a mask and put on shoe covers before entering my apartment. Super pleased!!

READ THIS FIRST! I called 4 plumbers before I spoke with Luis. Each one said they would come to my home and give me an estimate, but no one would give me a quote over the phone. I just wanted to know what it would cost to replace a toilet fill valve. Why the lack of transparency? Why the we don't give prices over the phone? Luis and I spoke for a few minutes and he gave me a straightforward quote. Finally an honest plumber that does business the right way!

Luis just came out and did a really great job, super quickly, and at a really great price. I'll be calling him for future plumbing needs in the future without hesitation. Thanks Luis!

Excellent communication and got the job done efficiently. Jose is skilled with water heater installation and tight space problem solving. Very friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Jose came to fix my leaking kitchen sink within 1 day notice. He was able to diagnose the issue with photos and came prepared with the correct replacement part. He fixed everything and cleaned up under an hour. Great experience!

We had Jose do a job for us last year and called him again to help get us out of a jam with an inspection. We asked for a quote, and arranged a time to see the leaking spigot. What do you know, he comes over to give a quote and fixes is the problem in moments. Wow! Awesome work ethic - Zec & Ros saves us again. Would definitely use them for bigger jobs!

I contacted Jose Z after making the mistake of going with Handy that left my kitchen sink leaking and damaged. Jose was extremely honest and trustworthy from the start, having provided a quote that included replacement parts needed, but after assessing the damage he was able to make the repairs without them and of course didn't charge me accordingly. Great communication and super friendly to boot!

Luis not only came and replaced my heater the same day it broke, but he was able to inform me that I did not need to replace it with a short model - I could use a regular model. Sometimes you inherit other people's mistakes in a building and this is a correction that will improve things for the next decade of use.

Luis did an amazing job installing a tricky IKEA sink vanity for us, as well as a toilet and faucet.  He was prompt, friendly, completed the work efficiently and his rates were very reasonable.  He was referred to me by a highly trusted contractor friend and I plan on using him in the future for any plumbing needs.  I have worked with several plumbers in the past for remodels and repairs and Luis is by far the best!!!!

When our tenant's hot water heater was found leaking late one evening, we called Zec & Rod.  They were at the hose within an hour to inspect.  The water heater was replaced first thing the next morning.  Everything went perfectly, and we plan to keep using their services

Luis (the owner) is a great service provider. He responded to my request for quote immediately, came on the same day and checked everything and find out the issue and fixed it immediately. He is very honest and friendly guy. This is an example of a a good business owner. His price was also reasonable.

AMAZING-seriously!! I received a response to a general request for estimate within 30 minutes.  Luis offered to come a couple hours later-same night.  I had a leak coming from top floor into my kitchen.  Luis showed before 7pm, quickly identified the source and we set a time for him to come back.  He just came back and fixed quickly...AND he helped me with two other issues we were having (just bought this money pit of a house).  He is incredibly professional, kind, and knowledgeable.  He has even contacted a GC to come fix dry wall in a few days after everything dries.  He is 100% the guy you want in your go to list of contacts.

Luis came over to fix the clogged bathroom sink a while ago and now he has returned to tackle yet another problem with the kitchen sink. He's hard working, honest and efficient. Highly recommend hiring him.

I have a restaurant in SOMA & needed a quick uninstall and reinstall of the faucet and sprayer for our 3 compartment sink. Zec & Ros responded quickly and did the job within an hour at a reasonable rate. He was very pleasant to work with and even repaired the gaskets on our handsink in the bathroom for no extra charge. To be honest, this was the 3rd plumber/quote I had been through this week and was getting quotes from $500-$1600 for a simple replacement. This is an honest company and I have saved them in my phone! Initially I was hesitant to contact Zec & Ros plumbing becasue they only had one review!!  I contacted 5 plumbers via yelp, and only 2 got back to me.  Jose from Zec &  Ros  was one of the two.  So happy and glad I did!  He is totally professional, knows his work, and best of all his pricing was reasonable.  I asked how long the job would take and he said approx 2.5- 3 hours.   he was able to fix my main water supply in about 2.5 hours.   so happy we found a plumber and i plan to recommend him to our friends too.
