I can't believe I'm the first person to review JR and Norm's Plumbing. These guys have been such a lifesaver for me over the years - they've installed my water heater, done the plumbing for my bathroom remodel, and generally been quick to respond when any other issue involving water comes up.

I had to call JR at Norms this morning after we noticed funky odors for a couple of days, we checked under the house this morning and sure enough there was a pool of water in the crawl space from a leaking drain pipe. Upon further inspection, the backup had pushed its way up an old drain in the bathroom that had never been capped, so now I also have a soaked closet and mildew farm. Oh joy. Oh rapture.

JR is just the best, he's great to work with and reasonably priced. I've never had to bring in another contractor to fix something he or his guys screwed up (which I cannot say about other plumbers I've hired.)  I have a rule now that nobody but JR touches my pipes.

If you are in the Long Beach, Cerritos, Lakewood, Bellflower, Paramount area you will not go wrong with Norms. (Picture is of JR outside my house, he'll be back tomorrow replacing the drain from the kitchen all the way out....)

Dont ever go with these guys. They will take your money and run. They came for 5 mins, did nothing and demanded money. Complete waste of money and garbage no name company. Hire a professional

Loved working with Ben. He was very professional and offered great advice / help. He completed the tasks doing quality work in a short time. We have a small baby and he was very respectful in staying quiet while working. I highly recommend Ben and will hire him again in the future for any task my home needs!

We had an emergency issue in our condo when water from the upstairs unit's sink flooded our laundry room. On very short notice, on a holiday weekend, Roberto answered our call, and was over within 30 minutes. He efficiently took care of the issue and advised as to how we could prevent the same problems in the future. I would strongly recommend Oakland Drain Cleaning to anyone needing a plumbing issue addressed. A+ service!

I finally found an honest plumber! Tony's plumbing is an honest company! I only write good reviews if the service is exceptional and Tony's is exceptional.  I want to thank Paul of Tony's plumbing for his outstanding job.  I had 2 slow running drains in my bathroom.  Before I called Tony's I had another plumbing company come out and take a look at the problem.  The other  plumber told me I needed a power wash to flush out the problem because the problem was too severe for a snake.   His estimate was $400.  I told him no and I needed a second opinion.  I then called Tony's plumbing and Paul showed up the same day. He was so nice and pleasant. I could tell he was a good man.  Within a few minutes, Paul said there was just a normal buildup of material in the drains and he cleaned them out without even needed to use a snake.  The bill was ¼ of what the other plumber wanted me to pay and my drains were completely cleaned out. They run perfect now!  Stick with Tony and Paul. They are honest and not rip-off artists.

Zayah was on time, knowledgeable, asked enough questions to make sure we were on the same page, but was unobtrusive and efficient. He diagnosed Missi ng parts we needed, took a quick trip to the store in my behalf, and replaced our disposal/repaired some broken sink plumbing quickly and cleanly. Strong recommend!

I woke up this morning to loud bubbling noises coming from the bathroom. Ran over to see what was going on and saw that my toilet and bathtub were both quickly overflowing. I panicked and started looking up plumbing services nearby, but because it was a Sunday morning, I did not have any luck getting a hold of anyone. I finally got through to someone when I contacted Better Solutions Plumbing and Anthony was able to come out to Hayward from Oakland within 30 minutes. He inspected the issue and was able to make repairs same day, quickly! It was scary not being able to use our toilet and bathtub, but the downtime was low. We were so lucky to have gotten in touch with Anthony. Very professional and friendly service. I feel confident using him again and referring him to family and friends who needs plumbing service in the future.

My wife and I are in the middle of a kitchen and laundry room remodel.  Our water heater stopped working a few days ago when we had to move it outside to get new flooring installed, and then back again later.  Our contractor George Takash took a look, got on the horn with American Water Heater Company and got them to send a new Thermal Coupling Unit out to us.  Days and much frustration went by waiting for the part to arrive in the mail, only to find that replacing that part didn't solve the problem.  

That's when we spied Edgar and his Pipe Arts Plumbing truck across the street, working on another job.  Edgar was nice enough to come over without an appointment once that job was done.  He assessed our situation and came to a diagnosis and cost estimate quickly:  we needed a new control module.

Edgar saved us even more time without hot water by offering to install the control module he had with him in his van.  We will get a replacement control module from American Water Heater (our water heater is under warranty still) and give that to Edgar when it arrives.

Once the go-ahead was given, Edgar did a quick and expert job, checked his work, and was done.   The whole experience was wonderful.  Thanks for your help, Edgar!

After calling around numerous plumbers. Mo from one source plumbing picked up and showed up on 40 min(after midnight Saturday) charged me a decent price not an arm and a leg -even though it was midnight. They Appreciate buesness and will definitely recommend them. Best choice Iv ever made!

One of the best plumbers I have ever had....on time, polite...dressed in a mask! And they did a great job. Reasonable, too. I would say that they are the ones to call for everyone in Pleasant Hill.

Fredd was awesome! He came out and fixed a slab leak that was causing major issues in an emergency situation. He was the only plumber we called that was able to come out right away and he took care of it quickly. He showed me the problem and told me how he was going to fix it and did the job. Seeing him work I can tell that it's a lot of hard work and it requires a lot of expertise and Fredd displayed both at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Fredd's Handyman Services.

Our old water heater conked out. Based on the Yelp reviews that we read about So Cal Plumbing's honesty and great service we decided to call Carlos and we were not disappointed. Less than 3 hours later and we have a new water heater that was professionally installed at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this company and these guys. They are as advertised.

The Kitchen Sink for our rental home needed a faucet replaced. Mr. Harris charged me over $500 to changed out the faucet. I wasn't there to look over the work as it is a rental, but when it was done, my tenant informed me that the faucet he replaced was a left handed faucet...he took out some board under the sink and didn't installed it back correctly so the doors didn't close right. I tried contacting him letting him know that I was not happy with his work and needed him to come back out to fix it but didn't get a response. Basically he just did the job as sloppy as he could and disappeared. I had to get someone out to do things the right way and he charged me half the price. If you are looking for a handyman, maybe take your chances. If you are looking for a licensed plumber, I suggest you do your research and find a reputable plumber because Mr. Harris is very sloppy and does not pay attention to details.

The initial customer service call was polite and friendly.
Eric came out promptly on a Friday nite, the whole repair taking approx 45 minutes. Eric was professional, polite and easy to talk to when I posed questions.
His explanations were detailed yet easy to comprehend. I felt his 10years plus of experience proved of value as he knew how the homes in the neighborhood were originally constructed.
For being a single female owner, I felt comfortable with him and the work being performed. Very important!!!!!

Contracted with AC Plumbing to install a Quiet Cool whole house fan. The installers arrived within the arrival window and installed the fan in about 2 hours including all the required electrical. The installers worked hard, worked clean, answered all my questions, and were friendly and courteous. On the subject of the whole house fan, why did I wait so long to have one installed? The advertising hype about the effectiveness of whole house fans is true. The fan pulls the hot stale air from the inside of the house and replaces it with cool clean evening air from outside. Since the house now starts out cooler in the morning, it does not get as warm during the day making it much more comfortable. We are very pleased with AC Plumbing and our Quiet Cool whole house fan.

I found Anam through Berkeley Parents Network. He had very positive reviews there so I called him to fix a leak in our bathtub drain.  Anam came out right away to take a look at it and he fixed it the same day.   He and his partner did a thorough job working on some fairly old pipes installed in a less than orthodox way and got the problem solved.  He cleaned up the bathroom and now we have a working bathtub again!

Anam's a great plumber and is also a great communicator.. He took the time to explain different options to me and walked me through the upsides/downsides of each option.

I'd definitely cal Anam again the next time I need a plumber and I have no reservations about referring him to other folks who need a good plumber!

i can always count on discount plumbing when it comes to plumbing repair . kevin the owner was super nice and his crew did an excellent job  . Hard working company . A++++ for this company .
