Highly recommend Nak for Plumbing! I had started a bathroom remodel but also had a list of other plumbing issues that needed attention. The jobs included conversion from two to one sink plumbing, replacing a pressure reducing valve, replacing a galvanized pipe, and replacing a tub spout that was rusted in place. Niles and his crew were very responsive, explained and answered all my questions. I have no doubt they will be the first ones I call for any future plumbing issues.
Very satisfied. I called Nak to fix a leak, install a new Kitchen faucet, and install a new water line outside. John came out and gave me good advice on what should be done. He even identified an area where I had cast iron pipe touching copper ( a no no). He fixed all of it. He was spot on with his time estimates, and did a very clean and professional job. Part of the job required that he go in to the crawl space under the house, while under there he identified possible termite damage and took a photograph for my review. This was above and beyond, and something I very much appreciated. I would highly recommend them and will call them again when I have a plumbing need.
Still a great company! Had some work done to the house and pointed out some future plumbing problems that may arise down the road, no high pressure and miss leading advice, just professional suggestions to think about. Thanks John, for doing a great job and being there for us !
John did an awesome job quickly fixing a leak in my master bathroom drain pipe that a previous plumbing company (connected to a home warranty company) had been a horrendous pain in getting fixed. He was prompt, efficient, and I can finally take a shower in my master bathroom!!! So pleased with his work and both him and his wife were a pleasure to work with. Prompt response, clear communication/explanations, reasonable pricing, professionalism, & most importantly quality work. Even when we were clearly desperate. As in- BIGTIME flooding at night. Total of 3 residential jobs for us so far in as many years: 2 emergencies (including our house main that our neighbors noticed by the time it ran out into the street & a recent leak from a old pipe joint under our floor) & another routine repair of a refrigerator line. .
On this latest leak job, they pointed out a bigger unrelated problem with galvanized straps/clamps on our copper pipes (big no-no leading to galvanic corrosion & eventual leaks).
After our 1st emergency, they've been our go-to guys. They listen carefully, respect our wishes, & seem to enjoy their craft. They'll be the ones to replace our water heater cause they're the team we trust with our home.

Replaced a toilet tank really quick. Did it for half the price another company quoted me. John is super friendly and really knows his stuff. If you live in the Martinez or surrounding area this should be your go-to plumber service.
Needed a new water heater, called Nak. Keiko asked a few questions, quoted a price for the job, and set up an appointment over the phone. Brandon, Mikael and Chia replaced the water heater and did a meticulous, efficient, and professional job. They also noticed that the pressure regulator was no longer working, so they quoted a price to replace that. Chia did the work the next day and did another great job. It looked so good I took a picture. I have been using this company for 15 years and am still impressed by the quality of their work and the ease of working with them. Thanks again team Nak.

He came out today to have a look at my corroded gas line and didn't recommend any unnecessary repairs
They are prompt, reasonable priced, and professional. I highly recommend Nak for Plumbing for your plumbing needs. They explain so i can understand why problems happen and how to prevent them.
We've been using Nak for Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs for well over 15 years. As the owners of a 60 year old home, we've had our share of plumbing emergencies. Over the years John has replaced broken pipes, a water heater, exterior hose connection and cleared tree roots from our sewer line. We've also had him make plumbing improvements like capping off our under slab water lines and re-pipe our entire home. He's moved gas lines for appliances and installed a new refrigerator water line. He's done it all!
John always responds to our calls quickly and he arrives when scheduled. He is very knowledgeable and explains the problem and repair options clearly. His charges are reasonable and he's very professional. We recommend him highly!

Did a great job! Messaged on Sunday afternoon when I discovered the leak. Responded right away and we made an appointment for Monday afternoon.
He showed up early (after calling first to make sure it would be okay) assessed the job and quoted a fair price. He worked quickly and did a quality repair, and even charged me a little less than originally quoted because a part of the repair was easier than anticipated.

These guys were great! David and John were so nice and easy going I felt totally confident. We had been smelling natural gas for a few days and thought we should call. They came out that same day and made a huge job sound easy. They fixed our gas line as well as a few other issues they spotted while checking everything. We liked them so much, that we decided not to go with our home warranty! Also they gave us the best estimate out of all the ones we had previously. I will call them for all our future plumbing needs, although I hope we never need to.
We needed to have a seismic auto shut off gas valve installed. I did shop for quotes first from 2 other plumbers - one is a little shady and they're not local, the other is local but ridiculously overpriced (claiming that it needs a lot more extra work which was obviously trying to make more money...plumber's name rhymes with Bernie's). I am very glad I trusted my insticts about going with Nak for Plumbung after I read the reviews in yelp. Working with them was smooth - from the first contact with Keiko and succeeding appointments, estimate visit by John, and actual installation by John and Carter. They are all very professional. They would respond quickly, constantly update me if they're running late, very honest about giving recommendations and pricing. We are satisfied with their work. I would definitely recommend Nak...and stay away from Weekend at Bernie's (the overpriced plumber).
John is a highly knowledgeable plumber who has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was completely transparent, and provided us fair and honest information, even giving us advice outside his scope of work. John, Kaiko and team were also very responsive and helpful, even for an emergency on a Sunday afternoon. The Nak team was excellent and able to solve all our issues quickly. One of the best plumbers I have ever had....on time, polite...dressed in a mask! And they did a great job. Reasonable, too. I would say that they are the ones to call for everyone in Pleasant Hill.
Highly recommend this service. Solved two tricky plumbing challenges, other plumbers couldn't fix. Persevered to find a solution even when it took much of their own time in research. Always on time and excellent communication. Fair pricing. A great relief to find them.

Called them to replace a bad valve in my shower, which had already been diagnosed as bad. Technician comes, without a valve, looks at shower and tells me my valve is bad. So, he then tells ME to go buy a valve, which he will come back and install. Is there more than one kind of valve? If not, why does he not have one. If yes, how do I know what to buy? Can't imagine him being any less helpful. Paid for a worthless service call and certainly did not call them back.

John helped my tenant fixed the shower faucet that made loud noise when they turned on the water. He gave me a reasonable price. I am very thankful to call him since all the local ones in Concord are giving me all kinds of crazy estimate that it took me two months to find people like John. So appreciate it!
They are very professional. Before coming in, they examined the pictures of my faucet leaking problem and did some prep work. They fixed my problems very quickly on-site.
They installed an earthquake gas shutoff valve for me and did a fantastic job! Very helpful as well in talking through other plumbing related issues I had.

Contacted Nak For Plumbing through Yelp to change my corroded water shutoff valve to the house. Responded back quickly and answered my question of Any rough estimate of how long the job will take? with worst case would be 1.5 hours to install. That's all the assurance I needed that this wasn't going to be a really expensive fix. Scheduled the job at my convenience, Jeremy and Anthony showed up on time, went right to work and finished in less than an hour. Very happy with the high quality of work, ease of scheduling, and response of customer service.

John Nakagaki (owner) is such a great guy! This is my second time using his business for water heater issues. In 2010 he did a minor repair (replaced a thermo coupler) and he went above and beyond my expectations back then. So thoughtful and willing to explain a lot (including how to do things myself to extend the life of my water heater). Never felt like any type of up-sell of services. Fast forward 8 years to last week and I discovered my water heater sprung a leak. Panic of course sets in. I've seen plenty of videos of burst water heater tanks. Yikes! I called his business line on Sunday afternoon expecting to get an answering machine or service but even though he was closed, John answered the phone himself. He listened to the issue, gave me some comfort that I had a little bit of time based on the description of my leak. Gave me a quote for a new replacement water heater (Rheem 50 gallons). His quote was fair and given my past experience with him I asked him how soon could he come without the need to call around for competitive quotes. He said he was busy but would come at the end of the business day Tuesday to ensure my job got taken care of quickly. He sets up his appointments via email and text notifications which is pretty cool. I even got a text message when he was about to arrive at my house to let me know. He was right on time and worked well past dinner time to get the job done. His helper, Alex, was pleasant and the work was very professional. Stuck to his quote he gave me and I couldn't have been more satisfied. If you need a plumber Nak for Plumbing is the way to go. Reliable, honest and reasonably priced. Thank you John!

Replaced my kitchen faucet and water supply valves. They showed up on-time, worked efficiently, and left the job area neat and clean. Two workers made the job go faster. They happily explained the job and instructed me on how the new faucet worked. When completed, the price I was given on the phone was the price I paid. Very happy.
I didn't end up using Nak For Plumbing (I needed more work than I was willing to do), but was very impressed with the customer service. 5 Stars is for customer service.
I have used NAK for a number of jobs, big and small. Heater installation, outdoor plumbing, toilet install, and most recently, re-locating my water lines behind the drywall to accomodate a new vanity I am putting in. John has always provided excellent work at reasonable prices. Professional explanation of the situation, parts needed, options to keep the price down, free advice and prompt service. As I remodel my home going forward, I will continue to call them for their reliability and professionalism and because I trust them.

My water went out yesterday morning, Nak for Plumbing responded immediately to my email, set up an appointment for early that afternoon and completed the installation quickly. Beautiful workmanship, John clearly takes pride in his work. Price was more than fair, he was polite and very professional. I would recommend this company highly and will never go elsewhere.
John Nakagaki, the owner of Nak for Plumbing, has been our plumber since 2013. We are loyal customers. John is dependable, honest, trustworthy and really cares about getting the job done right. He's a good man - if you hire him please treat him well. He's the plumber you want to establish a long-term relationship with, someone who knows your home inside/out, he does what is necessary and won't recommend work that doesn't need to be done yet. Rock stars! We had a simple toilet fill valve replaced and a couple of other remodeling questions.
The woman that set the appoint was quite nice. We got text and email confirmations of when the appointment was and who was going to be sent to our home.
Jeremy was great! Not only did he explain the process nicely his Customer Service is exceptional. Seriously, he could change into a tux and be a fantastic Maitre'D at a 5 star restaurant.
The issue was fixed, for a fair price and and we will always go back to Nak for Plumbing for our Plumbing needs.
Our washing machine flooded our garage and I immediately looked up plumbing reviews on yelp. Nak for Plumbing had awesome reviews so I gave them a call. Nak is great. No nonsense and very reasonably priced. They responded super quickly to my inquiry through Yelp which was really impressive. I had him help us check an existing natural gas line on our deck (we recently bought our place) and hook it up to our new bbq. He was quick and did a great job. I have had numerous plumbing issues in the past year, including a leak under the slab. John and David are the most patient people I have ever dealt with. They are explain things so that I can understand, extremely tidy, and very trustworthy. They are always prompt and do a fantastic job, you never have to call back over something that was overlooked. Keiko is always helpful when I email or stop by with yet another request for service. I give NAK the highest recommendation.
I foolishly detached an old corrugated supply line into my toilet. As soon as I was done water started dripping down. I called several plumbers, but it was too late in the evening. I called Nak for plumbing when they opened at 8 o'clock. There was a plumber at my door by nine. Mikal was efficient, polite and professional. All the work was done within an hour and it was a fair price.

Had a plumbing emergency this morning, water leaking everywhere from the toilet. Turned out to be crack in the old toilet tank. Floor was covered with water and I was panicking because I couldn't budge the water shutoff valve - googled and found Nak for Plumbing. They were so helpful and arranged for someone to come over very quickly (within an hour). Gave me some good advice about how to minimize the water flow since valve wasn't working. In short, kept me sane and saved my floors! Mikael arrived and quickly assessed the situation and had to turn off water to my place. The building shutoff is in a location inaccessible to me. He was so efficient and knowledgeable, and after stopping the flood of water, we discussed getting a new toilet to replace my ancient one (1970!!). He arranged that and very quickly picked up the new one and installed it, along with a new shut off valve. I can't praise Mikael highly enough, he knew what he was doing and got the job done quickly, and was a pleasure to deal with.
Will be calling Nak from now on for all plumbing needs and will recommend them to my neighbors.

Sink clogged and needed fixing.
NAK- Gregory was responsive and set up a timely appt. Communication was appreciated with changes needed. Work was spot on and problem completely resolved.
Eugene explained every step of the problem and why there was a problem and the solution to avoid future issues. He was thoughtful and knowledgeable, clean and efficient.

John came and was able to diagnose and fix the leak. We hired him because he explained everything and was very honest with us. He also checked our other pipes under the house and told us where an animal had been burrowing into our crawlspace. We will definitely be calling John again for any future plumbing needs!
Nak for Plumbing came out to fix a clogged toilet on a Friday afternoon. On the following Wednesday the toilet overflowed causing at least $15,000 damage to our house. I called to get their insurance information and evidently they are no longer a licensed and bonded plumbing company.
John from the NAK services was very helpful and professional in his manners. The job was done well and fast. I was pleasantly surprised and I would highly recommend this company.
I was referred to Nak for Plumbing by a friend and couldn't be more pleased! From the super friendly people who answer the phones to the 10 star plumber that came out. Eugene was AMAZING, I had pulled out my kitchen faucet and plumbing to replace it all and got stuck on one slip nut on the pipe going in to the wall that had corroded and cracked and I couldn't get it off without fear of damaging the pipe going in to the wall. He had seen all the work I had done trying to do it all myself so he coached me through the whole process of getting it off and waited to make sure I got it back together leak free and didn't charge me anything for the advice. I can not imagine a more kind, knowledgeable or helpful person. I will for sure be using Nak for Plumbing for all future plumbing needs!
We have used Nak for Plumbing a couple times now, and we really like them. The first time our hot water heater went out on Christmas day, and the second time was for a variety of small repairs, replacements, and a fussy leak.
They are very good at explaining the problem, finding a solution, and keeping the costs reasonable.
They are my first and only call.
I'm rounding from 4.5 stars. Nak is a serious business that wants you to be satisfied with the quality of their work. In our case they fixed a drain leak, but left without the stopper working. They made a priority of coming back to fix without any pushback. I like them (2nd time customer) and will call first next time I need plumbing work done. They do come in a little pricey, but come through on quality.

I just called Nak For Plumbing with a water heater crisis and they were amazing!! The woman in the office went well above and beyond to help get our problem resolved. She made several calls on my behalf to the manufacturer to track down parts and even to Home Depot where we purchased the faulty water heater to help us get a solution. She had someone scheduled to come out the same day but because of her awesome investigative work and help-fullness we were able to get the problem resolved without the needing to come out. I had called several other companies before I found Nak and they all said they couldn't help or wanted to send someone out for a service call before even discussing the issue. I will use Nak for any future plumbing problems I may encounter.
They were nice folks, but still couldn't fix the problem.
I had a stopped up yard drain. NAK was very responsive. They sent somebody out the next day. Their guy worked on the problem for 2 hrs, but couldn't solve the issue. The only piece of equipment they had was a small battery powered snake. I would think that they would have a camera to check the line. Or, even a larger snake.
Again, nice folks. But, they couldn't fix my problem.
Wow! Amazing service. Prompt, polite and competent. I had a double kitchen sink blockage. I figured with enough Draino, problem would be solved. But, John, the owner, discovered the original galvanized piping (1967) had rusted so much, the rust was blocking the pipe! He replaced pipe, checked for leaks and kept mess to a minimum. He also cleaned up before he left and explained everything to me. Wow! I'll call again.

JOHN and Keiko are amazing! They were very prompt with responses and their quote was reasonable and fair. We had a gas line installed in our place and they were very good at communicating what work needed done.
We ordered a new gas stove to replace our existing electric range and it hadn't arrived before the new gas line was installed. John came back at the end of a long day on another site to help us connect the new stove. He didn't have to do that but went out of his way because we felt uncomfortable doing so. When we went to install it, we realized that the 240V plug wasn't oriented correctly so John re-positioned it for us. Truly fantastic service. We are not using anyone else for future plumbing needs!
I highly recommend this service. They were on time and professional. Offered great advice to address some of our plumbing concerns.

They repaired a leak in a drain line, it would of made more sense to replace the whole line to prevent future leaks which cost me double in the long run, the job had to be done again. Not happy.

Working with Keiko and John was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. i have back issues and needed a toilet installed. I asked for a few quotes on yelp and they were the first ones to get back to me. They had specific questions about my situation and quoted rates. They also worked with me scheduling a time that worked for me. John was really great when he arrived. The work was completed promptly and the price was reasonable. I will call directly for plumbing needs in the future and recommend them to my friends.
My toilet backed up into my shower and garage sink. John came as soon as he finished his current appointment and cleared the main drain stoppage. He took time to assess the issue because my main drain actually runs to the back of the house instead of to the street! Not sure why San Ramon ran it that way. Because of this, we were unsure of what would happen and he warned me it may not clear because of the distance (over 100 ft) to the end. I appreciate his honesty. Thank goodness it cleared.

I have used Nak for Plumbing several times over the last, say, 10 years? He has replaced water heaters, done the plumbing for a kitchen remodel, fixed leaks, installed toilets, and everything in between. They are the best. John N. looks at the problem and tries his best to fix what you need done in the most reasonable way possible. He never overcharges and is always a pleasure to deal with. I trust his judgment completely.
Our backyard hose bib was leaking profusely rendering my backyard flooded. Eugene from Nak For Plumbing came to the rescue. He was able to assess within minutes and carried out a plan to fix and repair the problem. He was very pleasant and professional about the issue. I contacted through yelp as I needed a bathroom vanity changed. They were so quick to get back to me. Estimate was done the next business day and the work completed the next day! Very professional, high quality work and the price was reasonable.
Delayed review. Over last year, had two positive experiences. Basic toilet clog. Fast response. Reasonable price. Polite and professional all around. Very professional and courteous. I smelled gas underneath my cooktop and called Nak For Plumbing to help me fix it. I though it was coming from the gas valve but their testing found it to be the tube. They installed a new one and verified there was no leak before leaving. Would call them again!
Needed some help with a failed do-it-yourself job and Nak Plumbing was able to send someone over within an hour. They saw that the job was fairly straightforward and quoted me a price that was higher than I expected, but given the quick response I went ahead with it. The job was completed efficiently and it's been a couple of weeks and no leaks or other issues, so I am pleased with the results.
I'm a believer in the idea that you can get something done with high quality, low price, and quickly ... but you can only have two of the three. With Nak Plumbing I think you get the quality and the speed, but they won't be the cheapest.

I highly recommend this company for quick, reliable and fair priced service. I had a major clog in my toilet causing my shower to back up with sewage. I reached out to Nak Plumbing through Yelp and heard back within minutes. They quickly provided both an estimate and same day availabilty. After reading through their 5 star reviews, I chose them over many other companies in the area.
They called me within an hour to offer up an earlier appointment that I was happy to take. Two plumbers arrived promptly, my main point of contact was Mikael. They were both very professional, COVID safe and friendly. After showing Mikael the issues he openly communicated the pricing I should expect to snake my master toilet and remove the toilet as well.
The job took 3.5 hours. The clog was quite bad and they had to bring in a much stronger snaking machine. After they fixed the clog, they took the time to vacuum the backup in my shower and cleaned up after themselves. Even though the job took much longer than expected and many attempts, they stayed true to their word with the cost estimate provided.
Going into this experience I was very stressed about the potential cost especially after hours passed. They managed to make this experience a smooth one and they will have a long term customer and referrer from me. If you need a plumber, read the reviews carefully. Nak stayed true to theirs!

Had a very positive experience today with Nak. Office staff very professional. Received a text when they were on the way, arrived on time with all needed supplies. The plumber and his apprentice were cordial and efficient and the billing was straightforward. So nice to experience good plumbing service after getting hosed by Roto Rooter and Rooter Hero. Will share this experience with my neighbors.
I called John at Nak For Plumbing because he was recommended by a friend, whom he plumbed her whole house, and she was happy. There was a gas leak at my house. PG&E came and determined it was not their equipment and said I had the leak on my property. PG&E promptly turned off my gas and padlocked the meter. I called John, and he came right out, gave me an estimate, told me he would need a permit, and he would schedule me right away because I didn't have gas, which I needed for hot water, to use my stove and to heat my home. He worked with me when I had to change the schedule, then came out when he said he would. He re-piped my gas lines above ground, using superior material, and removed the old pipe. He scheduled the inspector to come and everything was signed off. John worked hard, and everything was professionally done. I am very happy with using his service. PG&E, on the other hand, is terrible. They were quick to turn off my gas, but are taking their sweet time to turn it back on and relight the pilots. Thumbs up for John. Great job at a fair and reasonable price.
Nak did the copper re-pipe for our house in Concord. We had low water pressure at certain spots due to the old galvanized pipes. Their price was competitive even against PEX re-pipe proposals. Any removal of drywall was performed in a neat fashion that allowed for easier repairs afterwards. Would not hesitate to use them for future jobs.

Contacted Nak on Tuesday morning due to a leak I was having in my kitchen. A plumber (Don) was sent out an hour later, got straight to work and detected the issue that a pipe was clogged from the unit above my condo. He was very thorough and explained everything he was doing. Within a couple of hours, the problem was fixed and I no longer have water gushing down behind my walls.
