ACME Locksmith - Phoenix

First of all, not only did somebody answer the phone at this place, but someone was actually at the storefront as well. I don't remember how many places I called, but it was to the point that I decided to go to the first place that actually answered their phones. I did that, and made an appointment. When I showed up to that other place, the doors to the shop were locked. So I called, and they said that they had gotten busy and would not be able to make it until later in the afternoon. They offered to help me make an appointment with the person who would be working on my key fob, and I told them that I had already done that and that was why I was standing in front of their store that is locked. About an hour later, I did get a call from that person to schedule an appointment, and I told them that I would not be available at the times that day had offered.

However, here at Acme locksmith, not only did someone answer the phone right away, but they also have a person right at the store to manage it while other people are out on calls. So there is always somebody at the store. Next... I had called them. I had set up a time for me to show up, which was within the hour. When I arrived, it was less than a minute before they got started on programming my key fob for my car.

I highly recommend this place, not only for their service, but I recommend them on the fact that they are there when they said they would be there. Sean, the person that helped me was friendly and extremely helpful to let me know all the details necessary to get the correct key FOB for my car. (I've gone through a few incorrect orders (not by them).

They wanted to charge to come out to do a walkthrough and provide a quote on implementing a master key system.  No other companies that we called on did this.

I moved to Phoenix recently from San Diego and am really happy to find this outstanding locksmith store. I needed keys made which turned out better quality than the originals and at only $4 a key. I also bought pepper spray for only $11.

Service by Gil was great and he competently answered all my questions. If he didn't know something he looked it up rather than give wrong info.

They have a great selection of locks, security devices, safes and accessories.

I've always been a fan of utilizing locksmiths for making copies of keys. Other more convenient locations such as home centers, seem to always make mistakes which means more trips back to the store. Locksmiths usually seem to get it done right the first time with quality keys.

I was checking Yelp for a local locksmith in the Northwest Valley it didn't come across any. There were many mobile locksmith's, but for copying keys that option is just too expensive. I was referred to Acme by one of the local mobile locksmiths with 5 star
ratings.   He said Acme was the best.

Of course I called first, and sure enough, a live person answered and assured me they were open.   I drove 20 miles to get three keys cut.  And I'm glad I did.  

All three keys work perfectly, and I highly recommend Acme for any of your lock needs.   I just wish Acme had another shop in the NW Valley.

So it's actually acme, not ace, but whatever. Hours posted on the website, Yelp, and in the window were ALL different. But still like to support a local business, and I was able to get everything I needed rekeyed for half the price than if I'd gotten all mee hardware, which would've been the only option at hardware stores. Service was friendly and efficient, and saved me money compared to alternative options. And it's close to home. This will be my go to locksmith in the neighborhood.

I needed to have door handle and deadbolt replaced on my exterior entry gate. It required two visits, as I had erroneously ordered a deadbolt that was contrary to fire code. Scheduling both appointments was prompt and easy. And on both occasions, the technician was punctual, efficient, and skilled in his work--and an awfully nice guy as well. Finally, the fees for service were eminently reasonable. For all that, I am so very grateful.

I got the name for this neighborhood locksmith shop from the website nextdoor.com.   A lot of people raved about the place as far as its honesty and fair pricing.  

I went there to get my car FOBs activated.   Brian was the employee.   Unfortunately, even though it only took less than five minutes to key the FOBs to my car, I had to wait 25 minutes cause a woman who came in right before I did, decided it was all right to have a long conversation/dialogue with Bryan about heaven knows what about a stack of keys!!   Yes, she saw me sitting there.   I mean, 10 or maybe even 15 minutes max I don't think I would have really minded all that much, but 25 minutes?? Really??

Brian does really make an effort to help everyone to the max possible, but I guess I was a bit miffed cause of the wait, especially since it was warm (read hot) in there.

Went to the Infinity dealership to order a replacement FOB.  They still lived up to my previous review, just god-awful service and overpriced.  Came to ACME Locksmith, not only were they able to order a manufacturer FOB from Infinity, they were able to do the programing for half the price without having to make an appt. or drop my car off.   Saved me hundreds of dollars!  This is the place to go for all your locksmith needs!

We bought a used Highlander couple of years ago. Only had one key, no problem! Well, now we have more drivers around the house. Called the local Toyota dealership for a new "key"....OMgoodness! NOT paying that.
Found ACME on Yelp. Lots of great reviews. Between initial e-mails to final visits. Great prompt and friendly service. Brian explained that I would need a smart remote, which had to be ordered. Seperate pricing for remote, key cut and programming. Still much cheaper than the dealer.
I came in to pick up the remote and get it programmed. God bless sweet Brian! I got to sit in the store, he had to stand outside in the sun programming my new key. He even insisted that I try out all the remote functions on the key before I left.
Would definitely return to them for any and all locksmith needs.

Russ was very helpful and knew exactly what was wrong with our lock for the back security gate. We had another locksmith business look at it before going to Acme. They told us they would have to order a part from Europe. I would highly recommend using Acme. They saved us a ton of money!

The service was quick. Locksmith was in the area in 10 minutes notice. Great service.

It might be worth looking into a free service they have that if you sign up online and get a sticker for your car, if you ever lock your keys in the car they will come unlock them for FREE!

I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for any lock or key issues. They have 3 location over the valley in Mesa, Scottsdale, and Phoenix.

Quick, friendly service from start to finish and did I mention affordable?  I would definitely recommend Acme -5/5!

Needed some work done on a commercial lock. Great service over the phone to make the appointment.  They sent a text when on the way and "Big Mike" arrived on time and did great work.  We had a simple repair and the lock was working in no time.  

They charged a fair price and didn't try to upsell or overcharge anything.  Will use again and recommend to folks needing help with a quality locksmith.

I asked multiple places around Phoenix to get my Subaru key copied onto a flip key blank that I already had and either they wouldn't do it or charged about $100. It was a bit of a drive to get to acme but it was worth it.
In and out the door in less than 5 minutes and only paid $39 for the flip key and an additional key.

If you have a Keyport, go here. It's always a hassle going to Walmart/Lowes/Home Depot, since it depends on the person helping you if they will cut your keys for you or not.

They were able to help me out with fixing the CAM length to fit my cabinet locks. Super friendly and knowledgeable.

I had a great experience at Acme Locksmith. I needed a Thule car box key copied, and Ace Hardware was unable to duplicate the foreign key, so they recommended me to Acme. The man running the shop that day remade my keys after finding the metal might be too thin and be in danger of breaking off in the lock. Great service at a good value!

Brian went out of his way to help us with a camper shell lock!! Very helpful, pleasant and quick!!

ACME LOCKSMITH REALLY GETS "ZERO" STARS

Apparently from what I'm reading, Acme is the "go to" guys for the simple stuff like replacing keys - not the big stuff that they proclaim on their website to be the best at  like a safe in need of servicing. .....  I contacted this company thru a Rosie on the House recommendation to replace the lock on my safe. I gave the info on the size of the safe and the type of lock that needed replacing. A tech came out to have a look and didn't bring a lock with him... wasted day #1.  He said he'd be out on Monday around noon. When he didn't arrive, my husband called and the service said that we weren't on the schedule....wasted day #2.  When the tech came out a few days later, the lock he brought with him was inferior and did not fit and didn't really
want to modify it ..... wasted day #3.

How hard is it to bring a Sgt Greenleaf lock to the house and install it? I've replaced this lock before without any problems. As of this post, it's been over a week and we  have not heard from Acme  and quite frankly, after wasting my time on 3 different days.....  I don't want to.

****UPDATE*****:

12/27: Thank you for "quick" response after 5 weeks. The quality of the lock being replaced was hardly poor or inferior. Again, the 1st visit - he didn't bring a lock. The 2nd visit - well there wasn't one, because he didn't show up. The 3rd visit, he brought a lock that he wanted to "modify" and "shave down" to fit... the lock you brought was of poor quality, sir ... not the lock that was being replaced.

We called ACME yesterday and we have a brand new keypad front door lock today!  Leeno came out on time and was very professional. He was pleasant and gave maintenance tips and clear instructions how to change the keypad code. He charged exactly the amount we were quoted and provided excellent service.  Thank you Leeno and ACME! We highly recommend ACME and will always call them first for any locksmith service.

Got my Toyota car key cut and programmed for less than half of what the dealerships wanted. Robert gave me a quick quote through yelp then I saw Brian who took care of the cutting and programming. The key wasn't cut 100% and needed to be jiggled to work, so Brian offered to order me a new key and take a few bucks off for the inconvenience. When I went back to pick up the new key, I also brought in a Kwikset lock from my front door that was giving me problems. He rebuilt the Kwikset lock at no charge. Again he apologized for the inconvenience of having to come back for a new key. Rarely these days do you see customer service like that-- going above and beyond to make sure the customer leaves happy. I will definitely be back if I need locksmithing services again.

Acme charged exactly what they quoted me over the phone. They text you before they come and in fact my guy was going to be early so he called me. Very efficient no hassles!

I bought my Kia Spectra FOB and Keys from here. Had some issues in ordering the keys online, but Robert responded quickly and ensured that my order went through and tracked the order through to me.
I went to the Phoenix store to get my FOB programmed and Keys cut. Mike was again very helpful. He cut the keys in no time, but we had issues in programming the FOB. Finally I had to get my keys programmed at the dealership. However, this was the cheapest I could get the keys from.
Despite the problem faced in FOB programming, I would rate this locksmith 5 star. Mike and Robert are both very friendly and helpful!

Seriously as good as it gets. Andrew helped me fix the lock on my car and worked tirelessly to get the job done. There were several parts that I had to get but he was happy to help and even though I had to come back a few times, he stayed with the original quote which was FAR BETTER than any of the others. I called like 5 locksmiths. Save your time, money and trouble and just go with these guys! They are awesome!

I have use this company several times, they are always fast, professional and accommodating! Violet is always a pleasure to deal with and always gets me scheduled same day. Their prices are reasonable and they don't nickel and dime you.

Acme Locksmith was highly recommended, and I am so glad that I chose them.  Ryan, from their Phoenix, AZ, location arrived much earlier than I thought, texted me within the half hour, and was on time exactly.  Ryan exceeded my expectations by replacing a faulty lock on the security door, re-keying several locks, and checking in with me a few times to make sure everything worked to my satisfaction.  He went above and beyond adjusting the frame of the security door to make sure the lock worked easily and smoothly.  I would recommend Acme, and Ryan, any day of the week.  It was affordable, reasonable, and friendly.

Tech Bobby called when he was on his way and he arrived when he said he would. He rekeyed my front door, screen door, and garage door for the same key while still allowing me to keep my ornate original door handle. He also readjusted the lock piece on the door jam so that the door shut and locked easily. Angie's list has a discount on the service fee so if you have that I recommend using it it'll save you maybe 20 bucks. They also do mailbox rekeys but I didn't have that done. Ran me around 130 and they provide a detailed receipt and accept credit/debit for payment.

Great service. Mike was nice and knew what he was doing. My car is extremely hard to unlock it has taken other companies 30-45 to do so but not Mike. It took him less than 5 mins. to have me in my car. Highly recommend them to anyone who has locked their keys in their car.

Needed a last minute re-key of the house after leaving a house key in an Uber. Was extremely quick to respond and very friendly. Explained everything and cleaned up after themselves. Reasonably priced for the last minute Saturday service call as well. Would definitely recommend them for your locksmith needs! Still waiting on the other companies I called to call me back!

The Store Manager, Brian, went out of the way to program a new FOB and cut me an emergency key for my car. He programmed the new FOB in no time at all but had to modify a blank several times so it would fit in my door lock.
His technical skills at cutting these complicated keys is superb and I would recommend Brian to anyone needing extra keys.

I needed to change my locks very quickly and Violet was extremely helpful in finding me an opening to get it taken care of. The Tech showed up exactly on time and was in and out within 15-20mins. I have already recommended these people to my family and friends.

Went to an Ace Hardware store 2 different times to get the same key copied.  Both times the key(s) that were made did not fit.  My 3rd trip to Ace I requested a refund.  Found out about the Phoenix location of Acme Locksmith on nextdoor.com.  Later, when driving near Acme, I stopped on a Friday afternoon...almost at quitting time!...and was warmly greeted by Brian.  He made my key so fast I told him I didn't even see him take the key off the ring.  He said he didn't!  Key fit better than the master I gave him.  5 Stars for Acme.  5 Stars for Brian, one of the nicest customer friendly young men you would ever want to meet.  This is the way all businesses should be run!

I called around looking for good pricing on someone to reprogram a keyless entry and these guys quoted me a great price and were very friendly on the phone.  I came in and there was no wait time, the staff was knowledgeable and professional  and it was all very affordable!

I'll definitely be returning here for any other key needs I have.

I am a retired litigation examiner for a major insurance company, so I know a lot about people and customer service.  I have no idea what Gage was expecting, but I have dealt with a multitude of people during my career, and it has been a long time since I have run into such a nice gentleman willing to go that extra mile for you like Brian.  He is very knowledgeable and helped me with my lock problem quickly and efficiently.  I take my hat off to you Brian.  In this world of " go go go" it was refreshing to have a one on one business dealing with you.  I will recommend all of my friends to you for their lock and key needs.

I needed keys made for my motorhome and could not find anyone in the area that carried the keys or would cut the blanks I had already bought online from an RV store. I expanded my search area and found Acme Locksmith. I called and they would cut them and they carry the blanks, too. They charged $1 per key for their in-store service. It was a bit of drive to get there, but it was worth it.

Had a lock which would not turn. Took it in and in 10 minutes was on my way. Great service thank you

Steve from the Phoenix location was very knowledgeable and helped me find the best set of deadbolts for my new house. He spent a great deal of time discussing the various options and got my locks all keyed up in about 30 minutes. Great customer service.

The business sales great products but is sloooooow. It took me 6 weeks to get my product so rating could have been a 4 but failed to contact me to keep me in the loop. Go with Medeco locks if you have a rental as the product is very high quality.

Found Acme on Roise on the House's website.  Will surely use them again.  Made appt for 2-5p to fix our mailbox lock, they called ahead to say they had a cancellation and could they come earlier.  This worked well for us and appreciated the chance to move up appt.  friendly, on time, and reasonable $$$.

I'll never use anyone else again. Bought a used car and it only came with 1 key.  I bought a second key on eBay and got a quote from Acme to program it. Way cheaper than the dealership and the service was outstanding. I worked with Steve who was knowledgable, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The store was quite busy so I heard him interact with a few other customers and felt he was very fair and gave them honest options. A complete superstar and he now has my business for life!

Our new office needed to be re-keyed. It's a ten year old building with many interior doors. Acme's service rep was punctual and had the work completed as promised. Very reasonable cost and excellent service. We will definitely use Acme Locksmith in the future.
