Best Water Heater Installation in Seattle WA
SeaTown just completed a big job on my house, completely replacing my heating system and installing AC. I could not be happier with the work and the entire staff. Cody is an expert and patiently listened to our needs and advised us on what would be best for our vintage Seattle house. The technicians were on time each day, worked very fast and kept the mess to a minimum. They easily dealt with the problems that come up when working on an older house. Brian and Ryan came back and spent another couple of house changing a few things even though the bill had long been paid. Cannot recommend this company highly enough, at least for HVAC work.

Eugene is incredibly generous. He came to our house on Thanksgiving day to help solve a problem (involving the oven, so it was a full blown turkey emergency), solved it in no time. Saved the holiday for us, really.

I had a very pleasant experience working with Mercurio's and Steve. He understood my budget and my requirements and he also made sure that I got a good date for installation because I told him I had family visiting. The crew that came for installation was very polite, friendly and explained everything to us in detail. They left the job site clean, were on time and worked efficiently within the allocated time. I would highly recommend this company!!

I highly recommend this company and would call them first and use them again! Right before Christmas I had power go out in some areas in my home. I looked on the BBB website and found Eco Electric. They were the first and only company I called that was able to provide a free estimate and would only charge if they found an issue. They were also available to send a technician out the next week. Other companies were charging at least $150 for the service call and for just showing up to diagnose the problem. They also didn't have anything available until mid-January. From the beginning of my experience with Eco Electric, I have had a good and memorable one. Donna, the scheduler, called to make my appointment. She also called a few days prior to remind me of the appointment and then sent a text a day before and day of! The day of my appointment, there was an earlier opening and Donna asked if she could send the techs over now. I was delighted to hear it, but couldn't change the time. Then she notified me that they would be a little late, but were on the way. It was fine with me since they were still within the window of time for our appointment. When Connor and Nate arrived, they were very professional, courteous and polite. They put covers over their shoes and were patient when we explained the situation. They provided simple and detailed explanations that we could understand. Connor also gave us some safety tips regarding space heaters. They were able to fix our issue quickly and didn't charge! Their service goes above and beyond my expectations and that is a refreshing change! Thank you, Eco Electric!

Abhorrent! Atrocious! Pathetic! Incompetent! Tardy! Inconsiderate! Very Poor Quality! Poor Communication! Time Wasters! Ill-Prepared! Slackers!
Yup, I think that about sums it up.
I would NEVER recommend this company! It's unfortunate that we had to have them come do work. If it were up to me, I would have fired them within the first 30 minutes of being in my home. Again, unfortunately, they were hired through a county subsidized program, so I had no say in the company chosen.
They wasted so much time, did a terrible job, left my house a mess and left their garbage. They were doing work in both bathrooms at the same time, tying them up for 6 HOURS! We (pregnant woman and several small children) had no use of our bathroom for 6 HOURS! They did not follow instructions and messed up the work order, took items that should not have been removed from the house that we wanted to keep from the project. They took too many cigarette breaks, did not have foot coverings readily available and when asked to put them on, did not remove them each time they left the house, hence, tracking all manner of dirt and debris into my house, which defeats the purpose of the foot coverings. One of the workers broke a bulb in my dining room and did not clean it up sufficiently.
I could seriously go on and on about the terrible work and issues we have had with this company, but I trust you get the idea.
I gave it one star because Yelp makes me give a star. I would prefer not to give any star at all.

Fantastic service, and they have solid attention to detail to make sure jobs are done right. I needed a new low voltage wire, and they installed it very discreetly so it blends with the existing decor. They also did a great job mapping out all my electrical work so I could label the breakers properly.

Dickson Electric did a wonderful job! They replaced a broken bathroom fan and light fixture, installed a ceiling fan in my living room and repaired / restored power to an outlet. I am so pleased with their work that they will now be my go-to for any electrical services. They were reliable, accountable, affordable and went above and beyond to provide me with the very best service. I would absolutely give Dickson Electric a 5 star rating and look forward to working with them again in the future.

I contacted Dean through Yelp to get help with a bathroom GFCI that was tripping frequently. He responded promptly and offered to come out same day.
This is a stark contrast compared to other electricians talking about we're scheduling into October. Who wants an contractor that can't even respond within a month? Probably no one.

Will helped us with some plumbing repair work and installed co2/smoke detectors for us. He was really helpful, ordered parts, & was communicative. Highly recommend!!

In December we had a slow drain issue with a shower and a toilet. Hunt's came in to check on it and used a scope which cost $300 not including tax. Their equipment had a crack and the technician couldn't really tell what the issue was. He said that the line seemed clear and went on his way.
It's been months and the issue came up again. We called Hunt's and they sent two techs. The guys were very casual and weren't that professional. I might say down right rude except when my husband came home, they suddenly turned nice and polite.
To diagnose the main tech flushed the toilet and said it looks like everything is fine. I told them no we have a draining issue. So I went upstairs and turned on the showers and flushed toilets. Sure enough, the drain issue appeared. The tech said, I don't know what to tell you. It looks fine. But If you want us to scope it's $300 is that what you want? I said, We have a drain issue. We need it fixed and if you need to scope it then yes.
He got the scope and was pretty curt as if he really didn't want to be there. He said there was a big break in the sewer line and it was under the house. He showed me the screen and I couldn't even really tell where the break was it was so blurry. He said they would have to dig the foundation but had a much more expensive solution that will not require digging. He said they would shoot epoxy through the line at the cost of $8600. We agreed to the price as we were in an emergency situation.
They came in the following day and dug out the area right outside of the house. The main tech said HE BROKE the line because it was made of electrical piping. I had to call my builder to confirm that its and older house and they might have broken and old pipe that attached to the septic.
The tech said to repair, they will have to dig through the house after all. He was very smug saying- I hope it's not under the kitchen cabinets. He said he didn't know exactly where the break was and that it was going to cost $1,000 to $1200 more than the original quote. I asked I thought digging was cheaper than the epoxy. He said, I really don't want to be jackhammering. That's not what we're here to do.
I called another plumbing company and this time a very professional gentleman said he would scope the line for $39 ($43.00 with tax) and will give me the videos so I can make a decision after. His equipment was so clear that I was able to see where the line break was. He showed me exactly what needed to be done to repair the issue was super professional and courteous. He came at a slightly lower price and I needed to make a decision which company to go with.
I called Hunts and told them that when we gave them our credit card, we had agreed to the epoxy solution but haven't gotten any updated scope of work after their tech broke the existing pipe. They directed me to the plumbing manager, Aaron, who was really nice. The issue was that they charged our credit card $4300.00 and couldn't ensure how quickly they could refund it if I cancelled the job.
I decided to follow through with Hunt's mainly because Aaron said he could match the price of the other company and that he was going to guarantee that the job would be done right. That was Friday March 19.
The job was to start today March 20. Aaron leaves me a message at 7 am saying that he had bad news. His crew called in sick and can't do the job. He'd try to get it done tomorrow. All the while we have been without proper plumbing and have been leaving the house to a family member's to use the bathroom shower etc. We've been washing dishes with a hose and laundry has piled up.
I'm leaving this negative review as a PSA to make people aware that Hunt's may not be the best option out there. They have proven to be overpriced, with older equipment, lackadaisical crew and worse yet supremely unreliable despite making assurances otherwise. They were quick to make charges on my credit card and iffy regarding the timeline of refunds.
I will update this review to recommend the company that we are going with once the job is done.

Same issue as most of other reviewers - Cancelled the appointment without even telling me or confirming. Had to call them to see where the tech was since I had been waiting. They're trying to push to after hours emergency calls it seems which makes them more money. Terribly disappointing.... I did use the after hours emergency service once and they resolved the issue but it cost a lot ($350) and took a long time before tech came out... I bought a house which has a system installed by them so hence I was using them but I will try and find a more reliable service.

Reliable, and was able to fit me in on the weekend same day no weekend fee! Price was very fair also. I would suggest them to anyone needing septic work done

They replaced a water heater. Installers bungled electrical. 6 code violations. All could have been lethal. Their supervisor fixed it. Had I not caught this it would have been more than bad.

We were initially very pleased with Black Lion when they installed our AC unit about 2 years ago. They were prompt and installed our AC as scheduled. Unfortunately their followup has not been as good.
We noticed that our AC unit was not cooling the house properly. We called a technician to come inspect the unit and he said that the unit was not theirs as they don't install that particular brand. We produced the paperwork from installation and he backtracked and said they no longer install that brand. He inspected the unit and told us that the coil had frozen likely because we had several vents closed throughout the house. He inspected the unit, said the filter looked good, and advised to open the vents and wait and see if the unit works properly once the coil defrosted. If it didn't work, he said we might need to have some replacements. We did as he recommended but the problem persisted.
We called to make a followup appointment but couldn't schedule it for several days because of heavy bookings. Because it was forecast to be 90+ degree weather, we went with an alternative company who had availability the next day. Their technician came by, ran a diagnostic, said the coil looked fine but showed us the filter which was completely clogged which she felt was the problem. We changed the filter and the unit has been working well every since. Problem solved.
Unfortunately, the Black Lion tech either did not look at the filter and told us he did or looked at the filter and gave us misleading information. We called to complain and request a refund of the diagnostic fee as he gave us incorrect information and we needed another company to come out. We never received a call back or any further correspondence.
Very disappointing experience with a company that seemed great at the start. Unfortunately, their followup and service reliability needs work.

The #1 rule before you hire a company to do any type of work is to go to Washington contractor lookup and make sure the company is licensed and bonded.
#2 rule should be to always read through the negative reviews.
With that said, while I did not personally use Dear services, below is my friend's experience who hired them to install furnace and AC.
My friend hired Dear Services several months ago. Some of the issues she experienced are water damage due to improper installation and they also tried to install a different model AC instead of the model she purchased. She tried to contact Dear Services to get the issues resolved but they did not return her calls nor show up to address the issue...UNTIL her friends started positing negative reviews on her behalf. After this was done, finally Dear Services reached out to her to get the issues addressed. This was multiple months ago.
Fast forward to yesterday, my friend comes home to a house filled with gas. She immediately called PSE and they had to shut off the gas as the gas was leaking through furnace. According to the PSE inspector, DEAR services did a horrible job and the inspection should've been failed.
So moral of the story is, NEVER trust DEAR services.

Dave explained all little part about replacing furnace and hot water tank. He had all the options ready to sell me. I could tell that he loved the company he worked for. And he persuaded me that Black Hills was a trusty company where I could work with. Overall, I am satisfied. The air feels comfortable!!!

Had a leak under our kitchen faucet. Plumber came and offered to replace faucet with a generic brand for $1k. Actual fix, twenty seven dollar speciality hose from Amazon.
