Best Electric Water Heater Installation in San Jose CA
We have an intermittent problem in our HVAC zoning damper. I.e., sometimes it works propely, and sometimes for that one zone the damper does not open. I scheduled an appointment with Fuze to come and diagnore the issue. There is a $99 fee for diagnosing, which gets subtracted from the overall repair job charges.
Oerall I had a very good experience with them.
The technician was running 40 mins late and I got a call informing me of that well in advance.
The person who came was very polite, professional and appeared knowledgeable about the work.
Unfortunatly the problem with teh HVAC damper did not come up while he was there. He and I tried many times to reproduce the problem, it just did not happen. While he spent quit a lot of time trying it, he did not charge me anything for the visit. He said I can not charge you because I was not able to find the problem.
Really appreciate the professionalism and honesty.

Professional and efficient work. Addressed my primary project requests and also took time to fix additional issues. Finished the work in a timely manner and made sure to clean up after. Great value.

My tub was beginning to leak where it joins with the tub door, so I called various places for quotes, but Chuck was the only one who asked meaningful questions about my dilemma and was able to give me a thorough and accurate run-through of what the repair job would entail. From this I gathered that he is a detail-oriented person who is expert at what he does, which was later confirmed to be true by the wonderful results of his work. For example, he did his research by reading through the manual for the exact model tub that I had and followed the directions to a tee on what type adhesive to use, something that the previous homeowner's handyman neglected to do obviously. One of my tub doors had a handle that was falling out of place and he even fixed that, so it literally felt like I came home to a brand new tub.
Another thing I appreciated was how careful he was with moving things around and keeping things clean, because I imagine working with tubs and leaks can get messy but I came home to a perfectly clean and tidy bathroom. Chuck is also extremely thoughtful and respectful-- without being asked he took off his shoes when entering the house. He's also very kind and cheery with his words, which makes a world of a difference when dealing with the stress of things breaking down in the house.
I've already recommended him to friends and family and would call him up again should something else need fixing in the future. Quality handymen really are rare to come by these days.

The thermostate had died over the weekend, and it was too chilly during the nights for any comfort even when wearing the house robe.
I called the company on Monday for an appointment, made for Tuesday between 8 AM and 10 AM.
Got a phone call at 7:30 AM on Tuesday that left a message that the man is on his way, and a few minutes before 8 he is knocking at my door.
Jeff was the man of the hour! He explained everything that he was doing, and whatever he would do as he went along. I was provided with the latest
model of thermostate, and how to use it for home comfort with energy savings. I was always getting email notices from PG&E as to saving energy,
and reducing billings.
For the time, effort and arrangements for future needs, the cost was very
reasonable.

Working with Norman is great and I highly recommend him. His services are priced very reasonably. He came over to asses a window sill problem which he fixed right away, and also addressed a mildew problem at the same time. I'll definitely be contacting him again for anything that might come up in the future.

Bob arrived on time. Spent time to do the check instead of just asking us to get a new one. At the end, he proposed an improvement.

It's nice to finally find someone who I can depend on for household maintenance issues. I requested an estimate to clear our dryer vents. Nick was quick to respond. Even though his schedule was full for over a month, he squeezed in an after-hours appointment knowing that I haven't cleared our vent for over 5 years so as to avoid a possible fire hazard. While discussing my dryer concerns, he requested detailed information so that he could be well-prepared and bring the appropriate equipment and tools. I got an estimated arrival time within a short 30 minute window. Nick texted when he was on the way and arrived on time. He got the job done efficiently and resolved an additional issue that I didn't even anticipate (there was a kink in the dryer duct that created a tear). He charges by the hour and since he didn't take up an entire hour, he offered to do other mini-jobs. I asked him to balance my washer and clear my shower drain too.
He finished the hour and I started to ask him to do other mini-jobs but he was honest about his after-hours rates and advised that I reschedule with him during regular hours so that I'm not paying too much for such simple jobs.
I appreciate the kind, honest and professional work he did. I've permanently added him to my services contact list. Thanks Nick!

I'm a prior customer. Would NEVER use them EVER again. They wanted $1300+ for services that didn't need. I paid $575 for the needed work. AND had other quotes for $568 also. This started with a $69 service call. OUCH!!
Deceptive sales practices in my opinion. HIGH priced.
They tried to sell services I did NOT need.
They wanted $1300+ for the work need to fix the problem and to clean blower. After negotiating the total cost went down to about $1075 (including service call) but only if I bought the 1 year service package!!!!. This equals I do NOT trust them.
Also tried to sell me a NEW furnace too. Wanted to make an appointment to pitch me for the 'new furnace'... etc. I opted for the $69 for the service call.
(To be fair... when I called and talked to a supervisor he said he would try to meet a competitors price as he wanted my business - SORRY trust is lost FOREVER - I don't need them to give me the business.)
I RESENT being told that I need something that I DO NOT NEED.
(A lie is a lie - whether by omission or commission). HVAC stuff is like Greek to most people.
So you (the poor hapless customer in need of getting his/her heater -AC working again) listen to the tech guy and go, wow- sounds like this is going to be costly if I want to stay warm this winter. Horse ****.
GET A SECOND OPINION OR THIRD IF NEED BE. AN HONEST COMPANY WILL TELL YOU WITHIN A DAY OR 2 WHAT THE COST REALLY SHOULD BE FOR THE SERVICE - IF YOU REALLY NEED THE SERVICE!)
I needed one motor and associated misc. parts that go with it. If the sales pitch was successful, without any push back on my part, I would have been out about $1300. Think about the folks out there that would have just said - oh gosh, well lets get it done - it sounds important. I find no trust here. (The previous tech that came out a few years ago was straight up but he was not available... Can't trust one SERVICE GUY FROM THE COMPANY - CAN'T TRUST ANY OF THEM. Seems like this is the way they train the employees?)
DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICES in my opinion. If this was MY company I would tell my employees NOT be misleading. Oh yeah... there was some dust on the blower. Yeah... my furnace was over a decade old. But guess what??? Dust gets on blowers. It was NOT bad enough to recommend cleaning it. And there were NO signs - NO evidence - that the furnace was going to break anytime soon. Save the sales pitch for when it blows up.
I used AJ Cooling and Heat in Union City. He fixed it the day after he received the part (he ordered it) and charged me $575. Told me the blower was NOT in need of cleaning. I say the evidence (very little dust) and agreed with his conclusion. Also Jose at AJ Cooling and Heating told me the furnace was fine for the house and my model had a history of being a reliable furnace. ZERO need to consider replacing at this time. I had 2 other completely independent HVAC guys look at the heater and they told me it was great!
Lets see... Fix the problem at hand and have a blower cleaned (that is not in need of cleaning) and maybe buy a new furnace I don't need for about the price of a used Buick (yeah... that's what I need to do!!!) OR get a second opinion. Hmmmm.... Think I'll go for the 2nd opinion. Really glad I did.
After the OVERSELL I didn't trust the original diagnosis. (It was correct BUT I still didn't trust them.)
As a previous customer - they lost me and any recommendations in the future (prior service years back, was well/high priced but satisfactory)...
This excursion was only $69 - but it could have been worse. BUYER BEWARE.
Also - It took them 5 days to fit me in for the service call.

I have been turning to Divine Electric as my sole provider of electrical services for the past 8 years. And while everyone that Divine has sent to us has always done an excellent job, we usually request Nathan for not only his professionalism but his innovative way of solving problems. Most recently, we needed to find a way to run an ethernet cable from the second floor of our home to a first-floor office. It wasn't as simple as it sounds. The solution Nathan came up with is seamless and looks neat and clean. I highly recommend Divine. And if Nathan is available, even better.

Last night I noticed my GFI outlet tripped and it wouldn't reset and I asked for help here on yelp and Jose messaged within minutes and called me and scheduled to come out early this morning. He was here really fast and he fixed the outlet and an extra problem in my fuse box that I would never have found myself. Jose was super nice, friendly, easygoing, and knowledgeable. I just bought my house in July and it's great to know I have a good electrician I can call for things like this in the future. Thanks Jose, I'll definitely do business with you again!

We recently had a problem with our kitchen faucet that needed to get replaced right away. I called General SF with no hopes to have a technician over the same day. To my surprise, Yevgeniy was over in less than two hours. He carefully inspected our kitchen plumbing and faucet, explained in detail what happened and offered different replacement options. When we chose what we wanted, he went to get the part, came back shortly and completed the installation flawlessly.
I highly recommend this company if you are looking for quick, professional and honest service.

Josh and Ray came out to access the electrical issues. They provided me with photos of the issues and were able to complete a portion of the fixes the same day. The following day Ray returned to complete the work. They were very professional, and answered any questions that I had during the process. I am very happy with the work they did.

Had Brennan install a new AC unit, did a wonderful job! Was very polite to deal with and cleaned the area up the very nicely. Have used him in the past and would recommend him to anyone who needs something fixed.

Max came out to our house on short notice, was very nice and thoroughly went through our a/c system to find out what was wrong. He did not rush the diagnostic, presented a few options to fix our issues and told us he'd be providing different estimates depending on our budget and what route we want to take. We appreciated him taking his time to do a thorough check and giving honest answers to our questions. The fee for the check was also reasonable. Thank you Max.

They fixed the problem.
I'm only giving them three stars though as their pricing model is unfortunate. 1 star for availability, 2 stars for the staff. Minus 2 stars for fee structure.
The call out fee was high but it was a Sat on a holiday weekend and in the evening and I was not taking the time to researcher options - this is on me and not an issue. They communicated schedule and the tech was on time in the planned window.
The Tech was quick to see the root of the problem was not a bad breaker. So a level 2 repair was called for to ferret out the issue. While a fixed price was appreciated, this was was over $450. So now I'm in for over $700 in total for the bill.
5 min into the repair they found a hidden GFI breaker on 1 of 10 outlets that in over 5 years has never been used (So embarrassing). Reset and problem solved. A few minutes to inspect and all was well. So let's do the math for ~30 min of work this is over $1400/hour rate.
I would like to think at some point after paying $250 for the appointment.... and a 10 minute fix... there should be a little kindness in the final pricing.
I really would like to see some relief of the price paid.
Unless you know you have an actual repair (damaged wiring, outlets, etc...) - be wary of the fixed price model.
