Once my foundation was re-leveled, a hydrostatic test was done to check outflow and inflow of water. It was found that I had a leak under my house and based on a recommendation received from my regular plumber who does not work under houses I called CTX Plumbing for help.
They sent a couple Plumbers to check it and send a camera through the main pipes and found that I indeed had a crack and leak in the sewer line.
CTX then gave me a competitive price for the work needed and sent two more plumbers to go under the house and make the repair once a tunnel was dug to get to the leak
CTX sent another couple plumbers to the house today who did a great job of repairing the sewer line leak and while they were doing that found a second cracked pipe under my master tub. They went to work repairing that leak and solved the problem quite well.
In all, they were here for about 5 hours. The plumbers that did the work were conscientious, polite, professional, and took great care not to drag mud through the house.
I am very happy with the work CTX and their crews did to solve my plumbing problems and would recommend them to anyone.

We woke up to water backing up from my daughter's sink drain upstairs and flooding the floor/carpet. Called Bob around 8:30, he was pretty sure he knew the issue and was there within two hours. Turns out there was a clog after the a/c drain connected into the line so that was causing water to back up into the sink. I felt silly it was such a simple fix but Bob was super nice and friendly. Even explained to my daughter what to look for to alert us before it happened again.

NTX Plumbing came to us as a referral. We made the mistake of going through our home warranties plumbing companies twice, and since then I've had a sincere distrust in plumbers. They (home warranty plumbers) had told me my pipes were done and I needed to spend $20k-$50k to get them fixed. After I called NTX in a panic, they said that didn't seem accurate or reasonable, and just told me to keep an eye on the situation and let them know if it happened again. Fast forward to yesterday where my hallway had a minor flood and my laminate floors were buckled and bubbled in several places. I thought for sure I have to spend $50k to fix this now. I emailed in to NTX and was responded to almost immediately, and was even scheduled for a same day appointment (what?!?). Scott showed up and actually knew the background of my situation (unlike the other plumbers who I felt were playing the never ending telephone game with the operator), ruled out our pipes being the issue, and figured out the issue was coming from our AC unit and one of those pipes. He very well could have told me to contact the AC company and his job was done, but he actually snaked the pipe for the AC unit. While submitting my payment (no where NEAR my thought of $20k-$50k at $210), he took the time to interact with my dogs and son, and then let me know the things to look out for if my pipes do ever start becoming an issue. These guys are great. We bought a 1956 fixer with issues. Low hot water pressure needed immediate attention. Very low! 3 quotes for whole house repipe. A plumber friend gave some advice and joe from Jr's fixed the issue with just work on the hot water heater and clearing debris out of a faucet. $4000-$ 5000 were other quotes. Jr's fixed it for less than $1000. Friendly patient attitudes were a great bonus.

So about a month ago, one afternoon I walked out into my garage and saw a rather sizable puddle of water in the middle of the floor. Huh?? I looked around (why, I don't know). Then I looked up. Oh f@#k! I ran upstairs and opened the door to the attic space where the water heaters and one of the hvac systems is located and there it was - water coming out of a small hole in a pipe by one of the water heaters. Water was shooting out horizontally, hitting a wall, and running downward - through the ceiling of my garage. I tried to turn off the water supply to the water heater, but nothing happened. Panic!
Anyway, I didn't have a plumber that I liked (I deal with almost all the tradespeople who have to come to our house - poor things - and I decide who will come back). I'd tried about three since we moved here, but none of them screamed 'I want to be your regular plumber'. So I called my regular HVAC company and asked them to recommend someone and they gave me the number for Arty's Plumbing. I called Arty's and explained my problem to the person who answered and guess what? He actually sounded concerned about my emergency and said someone would be there within an hour. In less than an hour, Frank arrived, assessed the problem, turned off the water to the water heaters and to the house and proceeded to repair the leak. From the time I found the puddle in the garage to the time the problem was fixed was less than three hours, and that included Frank having to make a trip for a piece of hardware.
AND, the cost was very reasonable (I thought). When he handed me the bill, I couldn't believe it was so low. And Frank was very nice. He also either didn't make a mess or he cleaned up after he was done. Either way, there was no mess for me to deal with.
AND after all this, the worst thing we have is a water stain on the garage ceiling. My car (that was just washed that morning for the first time in a couple months) didn't even get dripped on. Now how lucky is that?!

I hired Sunshine Plumbing to replace two existing 50 gal water heaters with a single tankless hot water heater. This is a big job and I did my homework choosing a reputable company. I received their information as a referral from one of the owners of my trusted HVAC company in Dallas who used Mark to install a tankless in his home as well.
Mark is honest, fair, down to earth, and a true professional in every sense of the word. He is also incredibly respectful with a great attitude... can you believe he asked me with a smile (!) how I wanted my floor mopped after him and his crew worked a long 10 hour day with almost no breaks. He stayed late just to make sure we didn't lose hot water overnight, and my wife and I both were very grateful for that.
If you've been down the home improvement path, you know there can be some surprises, and this job was no exception. Mark was incredibly patient and even had to reschedule some of his other jobs (and make return trips here), and he refused to take a *dime* from me until every last detail on the job was complete. WOW.

I thought it was pretty serious when my HVAC guy told me there was water in my gas lines. My largest and still unanswered questions is how much water needs to be in the line to get all the way up into the attic.
In any case this situation left us without gas, a furnace, or a hot water heater.
I called in for a plumber on monday. It was raining and there was likely going to be digging necessary, so Rusty scheduled us a few days out and quoted us about a thousand dollars over the phone.
Morning of the appointment came. Rusty needed to reschedule. He was unable to provide a more specific timeslot then afternoon. He said his crew was on the same type of job that they started the day prior. This was mildly annoying given that we had waited for several days (due to rain) but I was not going to find a contractor to come out in a more timely manner now, so I went with it.
Our plumbers came early afternoon thursday. Blew water out of the gas line. Brought a few things up to code. Tied off some unused non-problematic lines for funzies. 4.5 man hours * 2 still no root cause.
Day two involved an overnight consultation with an expert that dialed in the root cause. We dug up a riser and replaced it and by late afternoon had tested the system clean. City of garland signs off on it. Atmos come by, fails the work due to water in the pipes, and red tags the system again.
I'm $1600 into plumbing at this point, including 4.5 hours of largely wasted time (which I paid without questioning). I called Rusty, he spoke with the inspector and spoke with my wife and I separately.
From a customer service perspective, I expect that plumbers will come out and resolve the situation immediately - Rusty informs me he has availability in 3 days - on monday. Additionally I expect that Speakes will complete the work without additional cost. Rusty proactively informs me that the work monday will be at my cost - despite the fact that all the other work which did not fix the problem was already at my cost.
All in all I was disappointed that Speakes was not more proactive about resolving a situation where a customer did not have heat or hot water. Its not the customers responsibility to pass Atmos inspection or remove water from the lines. If you are going to charge me $1600 for doing these things you probably should complete the work.

Olshan has according to brochures been doing business since 4 years into the Great Depression 1933. It has gained the support of a Hall of Fame Baseball Player. All of which would give confidence in engineering knowledge, skill sets and geological knowledge. Thus when they sent a person with the title of Certified Structural Technician, it would appear logical except Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation does not have that designation as licensed in Texas. (TDLR). The Certified Structural Technician worked with us to create a plan for breaking down the overall project into phases. Thus the estimate at the point of submitting the contract to the home owner has not been reviewed by a license engineer which keeps any document from stating engineered under Texas statutes. The only indication of the term appears under Engineering Letter which comes with a cost of which is bundled with Permit, no line item but a combined cost of 650.00. Although the Certified Structural Technician stated he would have an engineer review the plan it apparently does not occur until after the contract. The contract is signed by the Certified Structural Technician which does list him as an officer of Olshan which could obligate the company, the second signer is contractor, but has no name and no license number. Piers listed but do not list depth, there is a charge for additional depth according to the Certified Structural Technician thus the contract fails to state depth of free, and cost beyond. Exceptions on the contract include Tunnel 225 per foot, no idea if a tunnel is needed if it went the width of the house it would be aprox 225.00 x 45 feet aprox, cost would be 10, 125.00 which was not part of the contract cost, remove concrete 125.00 per hour, not included in the contract, no indication of need during the walking of the property. Steele Support / Angle Iron 75.00 per piling not in the contract. Finally Generator at 75.00 a day, which indicates a company that has been in business 89 years does not have a generator. Finally the Warranty is for 1 year, after which adjustments after one year would cost 100.00 per pier, 16 piers 1600 every year. Transfer cost a 200.00 inspection fee to determine if it will transfer, keep in mind the transfer is for the 100.00 per pier adjustment, not warranty of the work. I am extremely disappointed with Olshan and perplexed at the issuance of a contract before engineering and geological are completed.

I called A#1 Air Tuesday morning, 7-18-17, and they had a technician at my house that afternoon, which was very prompt for this time of year, and found out that I needed a whole new system. He signed me up for a new system, $13,450.00, which I thought was really high, but I needed something done soon. The installers were out the next morning and installed the system and had it running by about 1:30 p.m. The unit did not blow cold air, so they had to replace parts on a brand new system to get it running so it would blow cold air. After they had it running and left, around 3:00 p.m. the unit quit working and about an hour later I called the company, around 4:00 p.m. and told them the installers had just left about an hour earlier and that the new system had quit working and would they send someone out to fix it or replace that system with one that did work. They assured me that someone would be in contact with me soon, and here it is 11:58 the next day, Thursday, July 20th, 2017 and I haven't seen anyone yet to come and see why a brand new installed unit never worked in the first place.
You know, I would think that when a company gets this kind of money for a new system and it doesn't work, that they would do everything they could to either get the installers back out there that installed the system, since they are the ones that have the knowledge of why the system did not work in the first place, or at least go the extra mile and get a tech out there as soon as possible (the same day) to see what the heck is going on with the new system, or at least let you know why they cannot get back out there to fix the new system or put one in that they so highly recommend.
As you can see I am not very happy with this company that has left me in 87 degrees heat inside the house since installing the system yesterday.
I hope you don't treat everyone the way I have been treated or else you wouldn't be in business very long.
