this is the letter i sent to Rogers Plumbing today, after my service call this morning.

I had a service call this morning with your company.  I found you online, with a google search for bathtub drain repair and my zip code.

My service call was to remove and replace a bathtub drain that was corroded, with the cross hairs missing, that I could not remove myself.

Your two gentlemen arrived and there was an older gentlemen and a younger helper.

The two gentlemen were clean cut, and looked nice, got to work, and apparently the drain was so corroded that it was not coming out.  The older gentlemen left to call for another tech to come by with their tool, while the younger helper stayed inside and kept trying.

Here is where it gets interesting!!!  

I was sitting in my bedroom right by the bathroom and just letting them do their thing.  The older gentlemen left, but the younger helper kept working.  He didn't know I was right in the next room listening while looking at emails.  He was working so hard.  Groaning.  Trying.... Resting for a second.... trying again with all his might over and over and over and over.  For about 15 minutes.  Or longer.  He stayed with it even though it seemed impossible, and he was apparently putting a great amount of effort and energy to it.

Takeaway...   this young man, with no one watching (he thought) could have not tried so hard.  He could have taken a break.  He could have given up.  He could have doddled.  HE DIDN'T!  He kept trying very hard, knowing no one was watching, and he finally got it loose.  (I was silently praying that he did, so he would feel good, and my drain would be fixed.)

I work with and help manage building engineers in high rise buildings in my job.  They rarely work this hard!
I want to give this young man the highest praise possible for what I witnessed this morning.
I hope everyone in your company, including the ownership can read my letter.
This is the kind of thing that is really inspiring to see, and I am certain this young man will be successful in whatever he does.

We had a toilet stopped up and called Chris's Plumbing. They said they would be here this afternoon and they were. Coke went right to work and had the problem solved in about 20 minutes. Everything about this service call was excellent.
I highly recommend this plumbing company.

I had a water pipe burst. Within 40 minutes the plumber came and fixed the leak in about 30 minutes. The price was VERY reasonable ! I would highly recommend the company.

I had a faucet that needed to be installed in my kitchen sink. I purchased the high-end faucet, soap dispenser and hole covers (I have a 4 hole sink but just 2 appliances to install). James came out and gave me a quote - he was very professional and friendly. The staff at the office was very communicative and friendly as well. I hired James to do the job and couldn't be happier. The price was competitive, the work was completed in a timely manner and looks great! He cleaned up all the mess (some that wasn't even his!) and left my kitchen looking great. So my horrible home warranity contacted this 24 hour plumbing company on Friday. So I personally called them on Saturday and spoke with the nicest plumber and was told that they were booked  and that customer service will call me on Monday to schedule a good time around MY SCHEDULE. Well this rude evil horrible woman call me on Monday from customer service and WOULD NOT accomodate my schedule. MIND YOU they are a 24 hour service yet could ONLY schedule me in the morning when I have to work!!!! This evil woman tells me I DID NOT have an emergency YET I CANNOT USE my kitchen sink!!!!!! Nice plumbers BUT horrible customer service!

Found out we had a busted pipe after the freeze. These guys were the only ones that actually responded in a timely fashion (same day) and had someone out within an hour. Great service, explained what went wrong and showed us the broken parts. Followed up the next day to make sure everything was running well and there were no issues. If I need anything plumbing related, I'll be calling them again. Thanks Ivan and Derek!

One of my hot water heaters decided to spring a significant leak at 9 o'clock on a Sunday morning. I called the nearest Plummer that was open 24/7. I cannot believe how fortunate I was to find this plumber! Fred came and fixed the problem. Immediately. This is absolutely the best Plumber I've ever come to service my house -- And I have had quite a few. His work is careful and meticulous, and he's very respectful of the house environment, and takes care of everything. Besides just being a very nice person, he's an extremely competent plumber. I ended up having him replace the other water heater, as well as some other plumbing tasks that did not need immediate attention. But I was so impressed with his work, and his pricing (he didn't even charge me extra because it was a Sunday) That we took care of many large tasks in the house that would eventually need attention. Call this guy if you have any plumbing issues. I wish I found him years ago, will save me a lot of aggravation on getting jobs re-done.

We had a clogs in our pipe and called our home warranty company to have someone come out. The plumber that was sent cleared our line but a few days later we had a clog again. The same company came back out and cleared it again. They ran a camera down our pipes and told us that our pipes were corroded under the house and that we would need to replace 52 feet of piping and excavate our entire yard to do this. They gave us a quote of 25k and tried to give us ideas on how to scam our insurance company. After hearing about the insurance fraud we immediately no longer trusted this plumber. I had seen a million reviews for My Local Plumber on next door and called then out for a quote. They came and ran a camera through our pipes and found NO ISSUE. The previous company tried to completely rip us off.

I can't say enough good things about my local plumber. I'm so glad we found a company that operates on integrity and is fair. There are still good people in the world and My local plumber is run by them!

Stephen did a great job of removing and replacing the water heater in a timely manner- knowledgeable, accurate and thoughtful. Will be calling Harvey West Plumbing again for the next time I need professional plumbing work.

We called One Source out to fix our leaking sink, and they were able to come out super quickly. The two plumbers were really nice and did a great job. I ended up having them look at another issue we were having, and they took care of that as well. They charged me less than I was expecting, were professional, and everything is working now. I can't recommend them enough!

UDATE INCLUDED Below! DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY! DO NOT PAY HIM IN ADVANCE!! I have to take him to court to get my money back for services he failed to provide.
!!UPDATE! HIS RESPONSE IS AGAIN MORE LIES. I have all the texts and phone call records To prove it.  He has 1 5 star review. I did not say anything to him as he left. He makes up anything he wants and pretends it's truth. RUN from this unscrupulous person. Yeah I dropped a couple f bombs in some of my responses because he frustrates you beyond reason with lies. He owes me $160 before court costs. I offered a $100 settlement and he refused. He wants to give me just $25!  I would give negative stars, if I could.

Once he has your money, he will figure out a way to get close to $100/hour.  He will fabricate fees that he never mentions when you enter a contract with him and chargEd you for parts he recycles from other jobs and claim he bought them for you.

He has yet to provide me any reciept for a light switch that was not In a package. He also asked if he could have my brand new ceiling fans, he took down.

He was so great when I called him because I had someone else not show up and I had painters coming the next day. He said his work is phenomenal and he normally charged $85/hour BUT if I pay him $500 for 8 hours IN ADVANCE, I get deal. IT IS NO DEAL!
He came 1st day and was absolutely great for 1.5hours and I gave him his check, for services in advance.
I was flustered and rushed to get him out and get more things done before I needed to get more done before painters came the next morning. HE LOVES to kill time with chattiThat's not good when you're paying by the hour!

He also wants you to give him buildings codes and access to your place without you there. This is so he can then pad his bill.. He complained about not being able to be there by himself on two counts.

He is the poster boy for bait and switch!

I wrote an incorrect hour time on my check. I called and texted him the next morning and he confirmed I have 8 hours for $500. I also have that in writing.

He also confirmed he would come at scheduled time we agreed upon for Friday, OCt. 7th at 4:30pm and I didn't contact him Again until he contacted me that Friday. He called before our scheduled time and asked if I'm back in town? I said, umm I told you I had an appointment here in Dallas that would take me to about 4pm so 4:30pm is still the time. He launched into a whole thing about the fact he is at another job and he will be late and wanted to push out the time scheduled a week in advance. I said no, not acceptable To move to another day. I have other contractors coming that need your things done and I need them done personally as well. He finally shows up 2.5 hours late. He was clearly irritated about this.

He also left for 20 minutes, to get something from his truck as I was on the phone with my fiancé the whole time and was opening the door to find him and he comes up the stairs with yet another fabricated story about being locked out. He had his phone and could text or call for the code to glass doors he so easily forgot

Had he showed up at our agreed scheduled time, he could have completed everything and our contract could have been satisfied that night. He brings out this unpackaged almond dimmer light switch and I say, what is this? He says, it matches your other outlets... umm NO it does not?! All bathroom covers outlets are white???

We exchanged words, I left him to just get the job done and had to have his mismatched switch installed to make sure the light works.

He was done at 11:03 pm and started 7:05pm,confirmed in text,)& completed 4 hours of work. I texted next day and thanked him for installing my light. He completed 5.5 hours of total work At this point.

He texts me I only have 1.5 out of 2.5 hours left!?!? I say, 7-11 is 4 hours. He responds correct but, I went shopping and you owe me $65 for supplies and 1 hour to shop.
I said no way. You already stated you do not charge for ANY trips to Home Depot.As a handyman he is there frequently and can pick up things for multiple clients on his trips. It's not my problem you procrastinated, nor do I owe a penny for a almond fixture. He is welcome to get it! He proceeded to argue with me, make up false excuses, and then tell me to just take a $25 refund for 2.5 hours of work. Of course I said NO!

He continues to change his story-change times-alter things said and I have two witnesses that directly contradict what he says. His texts, I also have photographed, and printed his texts that contradict each other. He is a liar and a scammer. DO NOT TRUST HIM OR GIVE HIM A PENNY IN ADVANCE.

If you want him for a quick job you pay AFTER he is done, 1st time great.pay in advance, he is HORRIBLE and ARGUMENTATIVE And will 100% lie

Schedualing was easy even showed up two day before, our plumber(Shawn) did a great job and made some a few improvements and suggestions for our future plumbing needs. will definate recommend and call if needed again

I had a worst experience that the person who wrote the review above .  I was talked down to totally .   When I asked a question to Mr. Murley about the job . He became very angry . That was my tip  off . He gave me a huge estimate bill in writing.after talking down to me in front of my wife . Became ever more hostile  Then  pointed out where it states in his estimate. Is not an estimate could cost even more .Mr. Murley  then asked how I planned on paying and whether I had the money. .  His estimate was 7,500.00 I politely said thank you .  He left mad .. .  Had Allred plumbing complete the same job for 975.00 .
