Wayne was exceptional in meeting every challenge that occurred when he came over to install a faucet and a garbage disposal. I got several quotes from other plumbers and Wayne was more affordable then the other quotes I received. In addition, Wayne recommended both the disposal I should purchase and the faucet prior to him coming over to install. He then advised me that he also carried those parts and could save me a trip to Home Depot, and just bring them over. I checked the two items online, and his price was the same as what was being advertised online with home depot. Wayne did a fantastic job with both installations. As my sink was in a very tight spot, wayne had to maneuver in order to remove everything, but was up to the challenge. I would highly recommend South End Plumbing to anyone in need of a plumber.

If i could give them less than one star, I would. Not only did they arrive several hours late, spend a whole afternoon at my house and not fix the problem, they also ruined my carpet in several places by dripping greasy water on it then attempting to use bleach to clean it up which, as any intelligent person would know, took color out of the fabric and left light spots on the carpet. And they broke the toilet shutoff valve so that it constantly drips and left their trash on my roof. The owner, Matt, told the person who referred me to them that he wanted to continue working with me to solve the problem but then did not return my phone calls when I tried to reach him and left voicemail. To top it off, the next company I brought in fixed the problem in 10 mins, no exaggeration, literally 10 mins, and no damage to my property.

My tenants developed a leak in their kitchen sink. An acquaintance recommended T-Flow, and I left them a message. It took about a day for them to get back to me, and they were able to schedule a visit a couple of days later. When they examined the sink, they determined that they needed to replace the faucet & hose; they offered the option of having me by the new faucet, or them doing it. I had them do it, despite the increased cost, because I didn't trust my ability to find an item that fit both the sink and the D/W hook up. They fixed the leak, but my tenants didn't test the connection with the D/W, and when they next ran the D/W it leaked.
I contacted T-Flow. They came by the next day and fixed the problem at no additional charge, not even for the adapter they provided. I appreciate workers that make sure their work is up to grade no matter what, and intend to use T-Flow in the future.

We LOVE you guys!!! Our family has relied on Mitch and Tommy (and Jodi!) for at least 15 years now. They are unbelievably responsive, honest, and do amazing work. And such lovely people. Mitch once spent hours and hours at our house in the middle of a MAJOR blizzard, right before Christmas, as our failing burner began spewing carbon monoxide. He dealt with the gas company, the shutdown, and all the other attendant issues while I scrambled to find temporary housing. He miraculously managed to find us a brand new furnace that arrived within days. (Just try to get a burner installed over the holidays when the region is at a standstill due to feet of snow!). We moved back home Christmas eve, barely missed a beat, and our young children had the holiday they had expected. Years later, still grateful.

Greg was a pleasure to deal with on every level. He gave an accurate quote, arrived on time and did a solid piece of work. He was careful and throughly explained what he was doing and why.
As a bonus, he is a really nice guy and was 1/2 the price of a different Boston based company.

If there was a lower rating, I would have selected that. I called for a quote on a broken lateral under my lawn, since they are an approved Boston Water and Sewer supplier. Was thrilled that they said they could come that afternoon. I waited, waited, finally called back a little after 5 and was told they tried to call me and didn't get any answer. Wrong. The guy told me he'd be there at 9 AM, and wanted to know why I seemed annoyed. I told him I'd taken the afternoon off of work, didn't see how I missed a call when I was right here, would see him at 9 AM. At 10 AM I called their office and was told I was scheduled for the following day. I said never mind, I would find someone who could communicate more effectively. The same guy called me back and said he had an emergency but would be there in a little while. I asked why he hadn't called me, and he said...'you know..we didn't diagnose the break, so why don't you call Roto Rooter and let them do the work. We'll pass.' And that's the most honest thing the company had said to me thus far. I agree. Pass.

Blown away by Drew and his team's outstanding service. I called on Tuesday afternoon and they came out first thing on Wednesday morning. I know they must have had other customers and I was so thankful that Drew made my needs such a priority regardless of that. Drew came himself first thing in the morning, evaluated the problem, and had two plumbers out due to the need of additional equipment within a couple of hours. His guys not only worked fast, but they were extremely friendly and professional. I thought I was going to find a mess in my basement when they were done, and the area they worked on was clean and my pipe was no longer leaking. I think I found myself a permanent plumber! Essential when you have an old house that needs lots of fixing. Call these guys for your plumbing needs. You won't regret it!

This is the first time I left comment on yelp. My ac died today. I called them, and they sent a technician immediately. The guy came to repair AC called RJ. RJ is very knowledgeable and identified the issue quickly. And fixed the ac in 5 mins. The whole process is really smooth and quick. He also explained me the whole ac system in my house. I will definitely use their service again.

Great service! I found this company on Yelp. They were fantastic. The owner came out to give me an estimate. The price was very competitive. This company is a very big rip of. The Tech Dan was very deceptive in his dealing with this particular install. He came across very nice & took total advantage of then & Crisis & Challenged situation.I paid out of pocket & was not covered by insurance and I agreed to pay the $14,000. Which I did only because they were in the process of damaging my credit. Basically to save my home. plus with the Agreement that Rodenhiser was going to work with us on a Mass Save discounts which we depended on due to the HUGE out of pocket payment expense. My friend explained the Rodenhiser Install Agreement to me which I signed and made the initial down payment. This guy assumed that I may not had the balanced so after getting her emailed he started contacting her by phone & US mail. It was the weirdest thing, sending demanding letters and pressuring her to pay when in reality I'm waiting for my discounts & Mass save info to Process the Completion of the contract with them. Rodenhiser was totally out of control even when I reached out to customer service they were Not helpful because they did not look into why the delay and was preoccupied on contacting my friend with Demands for payment because some how they ASSUMED I was unable to pay my bill. But they billed my friend and threatened her Credit with demand letters. When she assured the company that they would be paid in entirety and made whole, when the tech fulfill his agreement of the agreed Discounts for the overpriced job. They did Not keep their end of the bargain and started billing my friend who never signed or agreed to any type of contract with Rodenhiser company. Mind you, they were already paid thousands of dollars down payment by me while they harassed & demand payment from my friend who never had a contract with them. While waiting for them to give me the Mass Save discount info they started demanding payments & sending DEMANDING letters to my friend who Never sign or agreed on the contract. There was no problem with the payments from us but, they lied about discount. They did not explain about their demand policy, regarding discounts & financing and their periods once the work is completed. everything was so deceptive. Thanks to God, I have the ability to pay. My friend would never let me enter any agreement that I couldn't make whole even without the discount. BE AWARE .....The Tech wanted us pick some random bank, running off all these banks not caring about, we needed to have this info before hand as we enter with them to be certain we can handle a loan. WE NEVER NEEDED A BANK NOR NEITHER DID WE TELL THIS COMPANY WE COULDN'T pay. We just knew they lied & they OVERCHARGED us. We need them to full their end of the bargain & not surprise us. My friend did speak directly to customer service & the mails & demand still continued. She did not give Rodenhiser Plumbing & Heating Co., her info for this contract . The Tech only asked her for her email to forward the correspondence Also, I had already given them the down payment so I do not know why this company kept billing her, calling & demanding payment from her. Me as a Client was totally misjudged regarding my ability to handle my bill. instead the Tech attached my contract to my friend's personal info. She was fully aware on two occasions when two different techs tried to get her to sign the contract for completing the work, while I was in the home, even though I had already gave them approx. half down paid. She recognized it as bad practice & did not sign. I NEVER GOT ANY DISCOUNT FROM Rodenhiser COMPANY for this job As AGREED.

Very thorough unclogging of the drains, which are old and have very narrow pipes that have awkward connections where food from the Dispose-all easily gets trapped. Bob Bickerstaffe, Tech #1137 was very courteous and helpful, and did a great job cleaning out the pipes going down 15 feet. He spent an hour and a half cleaning out from all the accessible points, so there wouldn't be any possibility of future clogs. I appreciate the six-month guarantee, too. The roughly $400 was on the high side, but on the other hand, the work was much more thorough than I think I would have gotten from another company.

I needed a new hot water heater and was interested in switching to a tankless system. Seamus, a plumber and someone who actually services and installs systems, came out to talk about it. He gave me lots of detailed information (this guy knows his stuff!) and answered all my questions patiently. On the strength of his advice, I went forward. Seamus actually did the installation and he did an excellent job. He and his co-worker worked quickly and diligently and were very careful to protect my floors and rugs as they removed the old water heater. They cleaned up completely when they were done, and took the time to answer lots of questions. This was a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love my system. Seamus was right in everything he said. I am so glad I went with Papalia.

We have not had good experiences with Pann. We initially used them for plumbing issues in our two family house and found them to be expensive and there is no consistency in the contractors who come for repairs. Some were adequate and some were just plain incompetent, none seemed to be very good. We have since changed to a local plumber and find them to be very good and responsible and we are satisfied. It seems as if Pann is a big clearinghouse that contracts unemployed plumbers, regardless of ability, and that their main focus is to sell you an ongoing maintenance plan. Whenever I called I never got the same person and there does not seem to be any accountability within the company.

Several years ago my husband was working in another state and only home on weekends. We developed some issue with our furnace and we had a service contract with Gem. I called and a serviceman came out, took a look at thefurnace and said it needed to be replaced, at a cost of $11,000 to $13,000. It just so happened that a gentleman from an appliance service was there repairing my microwave. He suggested that I get a second opinion of the furnace replacement and gave me the name and number of another Heating and Cooling business. I called the number and they sent someone out quite quickly. They repaired the furnace and charged me $73.00. They also informed me that someone had removed a screw which caused the furnace to create a loud noise. Gem had been telling me for some t that the noise meant a very expensive part needed replaced. I called Gem and discontinued any service with them. To this day I truly regret not pursuing this issue further. I should have notified the owner of Gem to report this, the Better Business Bureau and possibly the police.
I tell this story to everyone and anyone who will listen. STAY AWAY FROM GEM! Their service people have proven to be dishonest beyond belief.
