Wayne's Drains has given me excellent customer service the two times they have been at the house.  The septic system is old and there was a somewhat unusual problem.  Wayne's Drains carefully diagnosed the issue and found the problem.  It was fixed in a reasonable amount of time and the expense was fair.  The second time the tank was pumped.  There was a question I had about the charge.  Wayne's Drains looked at the issue immediately and it was resolved.

I scheduled for a service visit to check and see anything is clogged as my toilet are draining slow.
The technicians came in time and looked through it. Nothing was clogged. It took them about 15 mins to complete the task from getting out of their vehicle till completion.
They charged me 3 times saying that they looked on all 3 toilets. It was a hefty charge for the service.
Good lessons learnt- please make sure if there is a charge for anything before starting.
I had the same issue before and was only charged for the appointment for people coming and looking at it.
Very shocking I paid $395 for 15 minutes.
Wayne's could have been better on this. I would not recommend them to anyone.

First of all great answering service on the weekend, Polite and kind.  Then Greg called to see what the issue (Backed up Toilet)  was and would be there in a hour.  He came in reviewed what I had tried and then went to work.   He had all the needed tools and was great at explaining what he was doing.   At the end the the drain/plumbing was cleared of stuff and everything was a go.   Great guy, polite and friendly, A++++

So far so good, today I talked to someone at WD, and they are going to take care of my issue.

I'm very hopeful at this point.

The rating will be GREAT if all goes well!

Kudos to the person taking care of this.

I used their services to check our pipes from the house to the town sewer. Neighbors have been having issues and we didnt want to be surprised by a backup. Wayne's sent someone with a camera on a long snake thing. They looked at our situation and recommended we replace our pipes within the next few years. That is so helpful to know.

LIFESAVERS

I went to the bathroom earlier and saw brown water in my tub. In the basement, water was leaking. I panicked because a snowstorm is happening. I called WD, and Steve was over in a few hours. The culprit: tree roots! Everything is fixed, and I'm thrilled to tell you I can finally pee again!

I live in a apartment building and had back-flow from the kitchen drain into the sink (and my neighbors had back-flow into kitchen sink and laundry). My regular plumber recommended this company and I HAD to make an emergency call on a Sunday afternoon!

They were very responsive and although my request got routed to three different on call plumbers, one finally showed up a couple of hours later.

The guy cleared out the block in the main drain and rates were average / reasonable- $250 ish.

The only issue was - when draining the back-flow water, the equipment used was makeshift (home depot bucket and some kind of wet vac lid), which sprayed sewage all over my kitchen counters.

While the main work was done well, we had to spend hours sanitizing and mopping up the mess.

Noticed after 5pm one day that our drains were slow to drain. Wayne's Drains was able to take care of it within 2 hours of my calling. Polite, knowledgeable plumber arrived and got to work.
They might have arrived faster had I realized that sewage was coming up (it was, I noticed after I called) - i.e., when I called I said I did want to pay the premium for service that night, but I said it didn't seem like such an emergency that other customers needed to be bumped for me. The plumber who arrived had at least one call after us too - he left at 8pm - so clearly this is a company that truly is 24/7. The pricing was reasonable for this area.
Don't be concerned that an answering service (live person) answers your call after hours - that's who I got when I called at 5:15pm. The plumbers clearly follow up quickly on their messages - we got a call back within about 15 minutes (and, again, I had told her it wasn't an emergency.)
Highly recommend Wayne's Drains. I will for sure hire them again.

My house has a bathroom with an ejector pump that stopped working.  Wayne's Drains technician said the pump needed to be replaced, estimated cost something like $1000-1500 depending on the pump I choose.  I called my plumber for a second opinion, he said there was nothing wrong with the pump.  He snaked the line and the pump started working again.  So obviously Wayne's Drains lied about what was wrong.

Billy at Wayne's Drains said he would reimburse me for the money I paid to Wayne's Drains if I show him a copy of the invoice from the plumber.  I sent that to him.  Had to follow up several times to find out where is my refund check.  Then I finally received something in the mail and it turned out to be a copy of some invoice and not a refund check.

I contacted Billy again and he said oh I will tell my accounting department and they will send a check today .... So far no check.

Wayne's Drains used to be a reliable company but this time they lied to me and they have had the use of my hard earned money for something like three months now.

Do not hire Wayne's Drains.  I will  update this review if I receive a refund.

Update Sept 29 2031: it took 2 1/2 months, several phone calls and many emails and finally I received a reimbursement yesterday.  You decide.

I just want to give a shout out to this company.  I have used them in the past for normal maintenance of getting my systems pumped out.  I have had the pleasure of dealing with Tommy M. each time my appointment was scheduled.  He is such a nice guy to deal with.  No matter how silly, small or crazy my questions were he had the answer.  This company is reliable and on top of their game.  I was scheduled an appointment mid afternoon, and I received a call that it changed to an earlier time.  They keep their customers informed and up to date.  A great company to do business with.

Greg was at my house within an hour.

The clog wasn't an easy one as he definitely had to work at it.  The whole time he was friendly and professional.

I thought the fee for his service was extremely reasonable and fair.

I will definitely call Wayne'd Drains if I experience drain problems again.

Thank You Greg!

I had my downstairs toilet back up this morning. I called my plumber and he gave me the name of a couple of companies to call.  The first one I called said they could come in the morning, then I called Wayne's Drains and they said it could possibly be about an hour but would be as fast as they could.  Ten minutes later I got a call that they were on their way.  Tom M. was the person that did the job.  He was very professional, explained everything he did, and took care of my problem without leaving me a mess. I would certainly call Wayne's Drains again and recommend them to anyone looking for this kind of service.

Reached out about just before 1pm on July 5. We had started getting water backing up into our basement shower. Received a quick reply from Jess that they could have someone here in an hour to snake the drain. Gene arrived before the hour was up.

He proceeded to snake the sewer line as that appeared to be the source of the backup. After sometime, we ran the water in the shower and it backed up. Seemed whatever was in the sewer line, may have found it's way into the shower line. Gene snaked the shower drain. After a few minutes, we ran the shower again and presto.
So far today, no backup.

Gene was professional, friendly and thorough. He cleaned up any mess from the sloshing water.

I would use Wayne's Drains again.

Over the past year I've had 2 different people try to fix my sewer pump tank to no avail!! I had been pumping it manually for the last year till I finally called Wayne. They came out the very next day and diagnosed a wrongly wired control box that had been caused by a previous  technician!! Well they fix everything and gave me a very fair bill! Wayne's workers were TOP SHELF!!! I would give them 6 stars if I could!

My neighbor here in Hopkinton was having trouble with her toilets flushing and draining, she was referred to Wayne's Drains by her plumber and they came out and through systematic testing and deducing, they were able to determine that the problem was the outflow pipe into the Septic Tank was partially blocked. They were prompt, efficient, and knowledgable....Patrick was an exceptional technician and was not only highly skilled but very easy to deal with and incredibly helpful. I would recommend Wayne's Drains for any of your Septic/Sewer problems!

I highly recommend Wayne's Drains for your sewer draining or cleaning. They promptly answered my call and had someone ready for dispatch within the hour. After the tech cleaned my main drain to the street, removing roots that were invading the drain, they used their camera to show me the results. The tech Steve was outstanding taking the time to explain to me what he was doing while cleaning out the drain as well as while he used his camera taking a video of the cleaned drain. Best part was he took special care to cleanup after he was finished. Great job!!!

This is the 2nd time I have used Wayne's service.  We have used another company to drain our septic and now we will be calling Wayne instead!  The other company never checked the cleanout to ensure everything was working properly.  Hours later we tried to flush the toilet and nothing happened.  Very frustrating.
Both times they showed up at my house within hours of calling!  Reasonable and fair price...I thought we were going to get handed an ugly bill instead it was close to what I expected.
2 very pleasant service techs came to the house and made us feel at ease that the problem will be fixed quicklly.
Will definitely employ their service again.

Highly recommend! Our main line was backed up- we initially had John's Drains come out but the guy didn't feel comfortable tackling the project due to an old house/pipes/need to remove black water from an old mop sink. I called around & got either high quotes &/or people who were confused about what was needed before calling these guys.

Wayne's Drains sent Eric over- he was here within 30 minutes of my call, was professional, personable, explained what needed to be done, gave advice on next steps, kept everything as clean/contained as possible & was up for quite the challenge while remaining positive. He got everything running back to normal for a very reasonable fee!

NEVER EVER!!! I called on behalf of a church that has two schools operating during the week.
They set an appointment for 2 p.m. today and were a no show. I finally called them because they didn't contact me. They called me back and I had the rudest experience. He told me that they had heard the toilet was clogged for a few days. I told him yes, since Sunday services. He colorfully said that we could wait until next week. I told him that we had two schools in here with children, and that the city will not allow us to not have toilets functioning. He basically told me where I could go. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Wayne's Drains has always been great when I need them. Emailed on Sunday night because my washing machine hose backed up (Monday was a holiday). Someone came out early afternoon on Monday to fix the issue. The technician fixed the problem, cleaned up, then explained what he had done. He wrote it all on the invoice, circled the 30 day guarantee and their phone number in case I had any questions. Always great! I would highly recommend them.

The company I work for has a commercial account with them, and I have not been thrilled.  It's not bad, but it's' like they aren't interested in servicing our account.  The people who come out are great, it's the office people that don't seem to prioritize us.  I know they do some large municipal stuff too, so maybe we are just too small to matter to them.  Overall, I can't really complain though.

I live in a condo and had some water backing up in my bathroom sink, which I suspected was from water usage in my neighbors unit.  I called the company who does plumbing work in our building and described the problem.  They said it was a drain issue and suggested I call Wayne's Drains.

Well, I'm glad I did! The answering service was prompt and within 2 hrs. Little Wayne was at my building.  He was very polite, personable, and knowledgeable.  He helped me understand the issue as well as steps I could take to prevent future drain build ups.  No one wants to deal with drain issues but Little Wayne made it the best experience it could be and his positive attitude about the whole thing made it much less stressful!  Thanks, Wayne's Drains!!

Wayne's Drains is the best! We have used them several times as we have an older home that has some issues.  You call and they answer right away, many times I am offered same day service. They try to give a 2 hour window which most contractors do a 4 hour window.  When they arrive the technician is very respectful of our home.  He has given me tips on the little I can do to help my washer problem.  One tech even checked with me and corrected something cosmetic on the pedestal sink that has been installed wrong that made it more stable.

Called on a Saturday for a plumber b/c my dishwasher filled up with dish soap from the garbage disposal (as I was working the sink at the same time).  The nice man who called me back stated that it's most likely that my dishwasher and my garbage disposal have a partial connection into the same drain (or something to that effect) and basically, I cannot run both at the same time and he should not come out and waste my money.

Nice people!

Took a Sunday morning shower in my basement bathroom, sewage started backing up, not a good way to start a Sunday. Called the town DPW, they jet rodded the street sewer line and told me it was a house/service line issue. Suggested I call Wayne's Drains.

The tech showed up in a reasonable amount of time. Asked me the last time the cast iron clean out cap was off, I replied about ten years, he replied with 'oh'. Showed him where the clean out was, he went back outside to his truck, I went outside to work on my motorcycle, he went back in to the basement. When I joined him he was pounding on the clean out cap with a 5lb hammer and large mason chisel. 'Hey, whoa, what are you doing? Did you even try to use a wrench to turn it off', I said, 'No', he replied, 'they never come off', he said. 'Really, you didn't even try?', I said. He not only broke the cast iron cap but he broke the fitting it threaded into.

It was a paper clog in the service and he was able to clear it with a power rooter in about 5 minutes.

The cherry on top of this hack job was then he pounded a new cast iron cap in place (destroying it) and completely destroying the threaded fitting - oh, that will be $50 for a new cap btw.

Total cost $250 for about $250 worth of damage to my plumbing - a Sunday special from Wayne's Drains.

Emailed the company and got an email and call from the owners wife, she left a voicemail. I was never able to speak to her on the phone but I left a voicemail. Yes, I'd like someone to come out and repair the damage your tech caused to my plumbing. Never heard back.

Take a look at the filtered reviews, more then one mention the same type of treatment.

I highly suggest you find someone else for your clogged sewer remediation needs.

We had a crazy clog in our main pipe from the house to the street, so my regular plumber couldn't reach it with his equipment (60 foot snake).  Jim came out pronto and with a crazy industrial snake (100 foot) got rid of the clog.  It was years of roots in our clay pipes.  He took a video for us but we were unable to get it to show (so like a 3 on that).  Though the work is messy, Mr. Jim did a very clean job of fixing the situation.  Prices are very reasonable, especially given the nature of the work.

After calling Roto Router Sunday night and being told I had to wait until Tuesday to get any service I then called these guys before 8 AM on a Monday morning because my sink was clogged in a big way after a dinner party.  They picked up right away, told me someone would be there sometime that morning.  They showed up about 10:30 and were awesome!  Fixed the problem as you would expect, but also did a good look around the house to make sure there weren't any issues and left the job all cleaned up.  It just goes to show you -- always go with someone local.  Better service every time!

I called Wayne's Drains this morning. Because I was at work I asked them to call me when they were on their way and I would meet them at home. The tech called as promised just 5 minutes later and arrived at my place literally 30 minutes after my initial call. So great service in terms of how fast it all happened. The tech James was super nice, super fast, and resolved my toilet clog problem in 20 minutes.  I had spent a lot of time trying to resolve it myself so it wasn't simply using an auger - he had to pull the toilet up and snake the whole line. They aren't cheap - when I calculate the hourly rate it's a lot -  but it was exactly what they quoted me on the phone so no surprises there. Overall I am very happy with the service - fast, professional and my really annoying problem solved.

PJ earned this 5 star review. We have an old tub original to our old house (built in the 40's) that wouldn't drain. They came out this morning, and things started to go wrong: their snake got caught in the old lead drum trap and there were existing cracks and erosion in the lead parts that couldn't take the pressure of the snake, so they started to leak. Water came through the ceiling into our kitchen below via the light fixtures. It's never fun to see water coming through your ceiling! But PJ and his helper took out the lights, put buckets below to catch the water, and sealed up the cracks in the back-end lead pieces as best they could with epoxy. Then they were able to clear the drain. We will need a plumber to replace the failing lead drum and surrounding parts, but we have piece of mind with their 30-day guarantee (meaning they will come out again at no charge if the drain isn't clear). This was a tricky situation, but when things started to go wrong, they really handled it in the best possible way. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again!

While we were away on vacation, we learned that we had a backup of sewage in our downstairs shower.  We contacted Wayne's Drains on a referral from Villandrey Contracting and arranged for them to come first thing when we got back.  They arrived as planned, and solved our problem quickly and efficiently.  Unfortunately, in the process of bringing the equipment into the narrow downstairs bathroom, the technician caused some door and wall damage.  We took pictures and called the office, and they offered a refund, and we eventually negotiated a partial payment to cover the repairs.  They took responsibility without prompting and sent us a check.  Kudos on all fronts.

The most important thing is that when they arrive your tank is full and when they leave it's empty. Other more trivial aspects of their business could use work. Woman on the phone is friendly and helpful, guy on phone not so much, me:can I get a $ estimate for x gallons? Guy:it is what it is, the driver will let u know - not so helpful. I'm just asking ball park, $5 or $50,000? They also didn't bother to call and let me know they couldn't make it because it was too cold - in fairness they warned me this could happen but come on I'm just asking for a phone call guys so I can go about my day. The drivers/drain techs are always good guys.

My tub drain was clogged this morning, so I called Wayne's Drains. The answering service took my info and said I would be called back in 15 mins. I was called back in 2 minutes, and was told I could get serviced today (Sunday) and I would get a call 30 mins before the service. Within an hour my doorbell rang and it was Young Wayne himself. They examined the drain situation and used a power snake to fix the problem in 15 minutes. Great service, much appreciated.

They gave me a two hour appointment window.  The serviceman called me when he was on his way and arrived promptly thereafter.  He snaked/roto rooted my main drain and removed a sizable root ball.  Price was very competitive with another service I used in the past.  Everything worked fine for a few days, but then the drain backed up again.  I called Wayne's drains back and they were very responsive.  They came back out ASAP and snaked again, no charge.  Things are flowing fine now.

Called them to help clear the main drain.  The guy was rude on the phone.   Woman in the background was dropping F-bombs every other word (how professional!).

I'm listening to:

He had the nerve to F-in say to me......
I F-in told him, Im not gonna......
Cuz if he thinks I'm gonna F-n take that he's got another thing coming...

I had to talk over this woman who is somewhere in their office.

I am renting the property that needs work and asked if they could bill me.

Not possible.  I am not a customer, and they aren't currently taking new customers.  Again, said rudely.

A polite, actually we need to collect when we do the work would have sufficed.

I asked if I could make an evening or weekend appointment.  He snidely said if I wanted to pay the emergency rate I could.

NICE.

Attitude is everything, and in the end, I don't think they're really looking for new customers.

Stay away!

ALL of my sewer was running into my basement sink and then onto the floor when that filled up...and up the pipe into my washer outlet. I mean ALL.

Called up Roto Rooter. They quoted me $850 to clean me out.

Called up Wayne's Drains.....they sent someone in 20 minutes and cleaned it out for $215.

Wayne's Drains 1...Roto Rooter 0

And the Tech couldn't have been nicer. I highly recommend them and I will DEFINITELY be using them again in the future.

We just moved into our house and, of course, the drain stopped up within 2 days of moving in. We sucked it up for a week and called Wayne's Drains to come in this morning (Monday). Setting up the appointment was simple and they arranged to come between 8 and 9 am.

Joe and Wayne arrived at 7:45 and waited in the driveway until the pup and I returned from our walk, came inside at 7:50, cleared the drain with a smile, and were GONE before 8 am. Their prices are reasonable and they are very efficient. I was so impressed and will call them in the future if the need arises.

When I went to write a review, I noticed a few Wayne's Drains;  this is the one I used.

My bathtub drain was close to being totally stopped up, taking hours to drain, and  the bathroom sink water was coming up into the bathtub.

The site office of my large condo complex recommended them as they use them commercially, and Wayne's Drains is familiar with the site sewage and drainage..  I called them, found out they had someone in the vicinity and were here in an hour as promised.

The technician used a motor driven snake, found a large clog on my line, not the main, and cleared it.  What they quoted me on the phone is what they charged, $135.   I would use them again.

Around 5pm on a Friday evening I saw some water on the basement floor and then saw that the basement utility sink was draining slowly then poured some water in the kitchen sink and saw it come back up through the drain in the utility sink.  (The water on the floor turns out to have come from waste water coming up the washer drain.)

I called a local plumber I'd used before and they just put in a call to Wayne's Drains who got here a little after 7pm.  (They called a couple of times along the way letting me know they were running a bit late but actually no one ever said they'd be here before 7pm.)

The two techs who arrived were both good guys, explained what they were doing, etc.  (I've owned one house or another for years but had never had a main drain problem before.)  They routed from one clean-out first but got stuck in a house trap and had to switch to another further down the line.  They hit the clog right away (looked like some root infiltration) and got it cleared away.  I paid $300 for the visit--upcharged for the night call, which I'd expected.  Given the alternative, I was happy to pay it :-)

This is the second time using Wayne's Drain and I would go back again. It is pricey, but needed my sewer line flushed and it is what it is.

At every step they were informative, sincere and kind. They answered every question and offered advice on where to turn next (my sewer line is hooked into a neighbors on an easement).

At every step in the process I was given the opportunity with confidence to stop and a plan on how to move forward. Do I wish it was cheaper, of course. But do I feel I was taken advantage of, no.

I feel Wayne's Drain is a reliable business and all the employees I've dealt with were courteous and well mannered and on time. Everyone can have a bad day, I certainly was with a backed up sewer line. I felt that they handled a dire situation with profesional maners and guided me through a process that was difficult to comprehend. I am more knowledgeable and can move forward with a better long term solution to a possible yearly problem.

I highly recommend Wayne's Drains.

We had our sewage pipe backed up and they were the first set of folks I called who was able to respond.  The technician came out late at night (near midnight) and fixed the problem and also helped to cleanup the mess (something I had not expected but was pleasantly surprised).

If I have any more drainage issues, I'll definitely call them again.

I completely agree with the other reviews. They said they would be here in 90 minutes and came within 15 when I noticed water coming in around the toilet in the basement. The technician was professional, very courteous and did a great job! We call on them every year to cut out the roots leading to the sewer.

I just wanted to say Wayne's Drains did a great job!  They were careful fast clean and knowledgeable.  And 30% less than Rotarooter.  $145 to snake the tub.  Rotarooter charged 195 and made a mess.

The company now has an answering service that forwards messages to the owner or whoever is in charge that day. If you don't get a call in 15 minutes, you are supposed to call back. We have had them come over to pump out the septic tank several times. The guy who comes is professional, quick and clean. The fee is standard and reasonable. The appointments are right away. I have not had emergencies yet but in getting them to come here, we did have the option to pay the night rate, although after the guy figured out what we needed, he suggested that we would be better off just waiting til first thing in the morning. He came at 8 am promptly.
