Best Thermostat Repair in Washington DC
My experiences with Clover have been great. They have a very responsive customer service team and great HVAC and plumbing techs. They really do care about the customer experience!

Had a very positive experience with Cardinal today. Called on a Saturday morning around 9 for an emergency job (toilet overflow/repair) and scheduling with the office was quick and efficient. Nikolai was dispatched and arrived promptly by 1pm. He provided a clear and comprehensive repair estimate which included more than one option. He was friendly, polite, professional and COVID compliant. The price in all honesty was a little higher than I would have imagined even on a weekend, but he replaced all the inner components of my Kohler toilet that were worn out after 7/8 years and also brought his wet vac to tackle the water overflow all over my bathroom floor. His work was very through and I'm not expecting any issues with the repairs although they do offer a guaranty. Will definitely recommend Cardinal to others requiring plumbing/HVAC services. Thx Nikolai!

Called twice for them to come and look at a plumbing problem in the kitchen. Both times i was left waiting at home and he never showed up. I will be calling somewhere else.

Sean was great, he came to look at my furnace the same day, and his prices are competitive. He was able to get it started again, and told me what could be a possible issue to keep an eye on. I'll definitely call when I need help around the house with other systems

This place wanted $350 for a basic chimney sweep. That's almost 4X everyone else in the area. I'm curious if they thought if I wanted them to build a chimney? RIPOFF!

The good news! The company was available in 24 hours to address my (non emergency) issues. Communication from the tech was instant, courteous and factual. The work was completed promptly (except for parts that needed to be ordered). The not so good news: the cost for repairs was well beyond what I had anticipated. When asked what the labor rate was the tech/plumber said that they do not reveal that information. Nor would they tell me how long the job took. They only quote by the job. Major flag for me. Had I known that when I reached out, I probably would not have selected them. The one piece they did comment on was that a second faucet (I opted not to have installed) would be ~$500 (I could be off by a few sheckles) to purchase and install...sorry, that is just crazy. when I looked at comparable faucets I see material costs of ~$250 for a decent option...so another $250 in labor for a 30 minute job? Use these guys if you want quick and complete service. Next time, I'll do more shopping to find a plumber who will be fully transparent with their costs, and probably much less all in.

Very professional, courteous & quick! I would highly recommend them. I couldn't be happier with their service for my business HVAC.

Classic nightmare plumbing contractor experience. Unexpected because we'd used them a couple of years ago for quite a bit of plumbing work & had great experiences. Last fall, when we decided to remodel our bathrooms, we counted on our past experiences with them more than the current negative Angie's List & Yelp plumbing reviews. That was a big mistake.
Day 1 - 2 plumbers arrive 2 hours late but worked steadily on the first bathroom to install the tub, piping, & durock walls. Several issues but the primary - the piping didn't line up with one another by inches & the tub leaked! They couldn't make repairs immediately due to other scheduled jobs - Huh? They had a 50% deposit for both bathrooms, so we wanted to be patient. After a couple of weeks, one plumber, 2 hours late. He stripped out the durock, the tub & the piping to start again - leaving the house a couple of times. After 3-4 hours, he told us he couldn't stay to finish & bailed in a huff when my husband went up to find out why. The work he had 'done' was horrible.
Then the true nightmare began - trying to get our money back. Despite pictures and our request for management to come & review the work done (they refused) Dana & her brothers (voices in the background) felt the work to date was quality work & only a nominal refund was due from the 2 bathroom deposit we'd placed with them. The Bowmans acknowledged that there was no piping in place, no installed tub, no walls, no tile work, no work begun on the 2nd bathroom & no other plumbers on staff. Just 1 plumber (who started mid 2013) & 1 plumber's assistant. These guys were in over their head with this job.
Finally, Dana offers to call in a sub-contractor to handle our 2 bathroom contract with Bowman's - we'd 'begin fresh'. Again, we're trying to be reasonable - we agree. He comes out - on time. He's horrified by the evidence left by the Bowman's plumbers & talks to us about what's needed. We gave him a copy of the Bowman quote for the 2 bathrooms - feel pretty positive about him (& start our research on his company).
Two days later & unexpectedly, we receive a full refund check and a note to work directly with the sub-contractor. He in turn advises us the one bathroom will cost 50% maybe more than the Bowman's contract & he doesn't really like written quotes....

I discovered a failed and leaking hot water heater over a weekend. Jafar is a true professional and was pleasure to work with from first contact to the completion of the project and beyond.
Despite the urgency of the situation, an unnecessary emergency response (and associated charge) was avoided. The cost of the project, to include parts, labor and disposal, was extremely fair and reasonable.
Crews reported promptly at scheduled times and the project was completed in a timely manner. Otech showed me exactly what was done to remedy the situation and provided helpful hints/education for me to avoid similar problems in the future. Otech has followed up since the completion of the project.
I am extremely satisfied with my experience and will be using Otech for my future plumbing and HVAC needs.

I was very impressed with Daniel and his honest assessment of what work was actually needed at my home. We had received 3 prior estimates from other plumbers prior to contacting Cardinal and boy am I happy that we waited. Daniel was professional and fast. I will be a repeat customer in the future.

Well, we basically use them for all HVAC repairs instead of our untrustworthy home warranty providers. Reddick always gets to the bottom of the problem, then fixes it correctly the first time (unlike the home warranty people). Their quality and service is bar none. I wouldn't (and don't) trust anyone else to service our units. All the guys that come to our condo are super friendly - even with our very needy pup!

I called Plump Right Plumbing later in the day, i thought they wouldn't come over until the next day. Brent came by immediately and stayed until the job was complete.
Since I'm giving up DIY plumbing Plumb Right will be my first call.

Pablo did a great job at a reasonable price. He was very responsive, knowledgeable and was able to get my refrigerator fixed quickly. I would highly recommend him.

Have come out twice to fix our boiler when we returned from vacation to a cold house. (Yes, this happened twice in one year). The most recent time, I called at 6:30 PM on a Saturday and was initially told service person would come within an hour. They called back and said he was stuck at another job, but could come around 10 PM. I said I'd look for another company, thanks, but couldn't find anyone else to come out. Called them back and said could he still come? Yes, he came out even though it was almost midnight when he was available, and got the system working again. Would give 5 stars for service, but on the previous repair they did extra work that was supposed to fix the problem, only to have the same problem recur a year later.

SILA is the most professional & customer friendly company I have ever dealt with. I have an old house with radiator heating but I needed to get rid of my window air conditioners. I found out about SILA years ago when I went to a Hone Show at DC's Convention Center ( by chance). I'm so glad I did. I explained what I wanted. Within a few days I contacted them. One Of the owner & a Technician came to my home & showed:explained to me what they could do, The duct systems are small, hidden & they don't take up much space in my closet. I also needed a small dehumidifier & heating & air conditioning system for my damp basement. This too was installed within minutes. It is now dry & toasty in my basement. I've used SILA to replace the large furnace in my rental property as well as to install air-conditioning. When I lost the owners manuals all I did was make a call and within a day I was mailed the manuals. Their prices are reasonable & they are willing to work with you on financing. I highly recommend SILA for heating & air condition. I've tried other companies through the years, but I found SILA to be the most reliable.

The technician was nice but $190 to top off refrigerant is a bit much. I'll look for other providers with more reasonable prices.

I had a good experience with Chris today. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. I definitely trusted his recommendations. I will reach out to Jiffy for my plumbing needs in the future.

Yessir is a very experienced plumber. He did a couple of complex projects for me with perfection, provided few plans, were upfront about costs and materials and risks.
And it was fun to work with him. Will hire him again for my projects

From one home owner to another, do not use this company!!! It seems that their goal is to charge the most amount of money possible and do the least amount of work, using the most inexpensive materials. They also do not stand behind their work. Use a small plumbing business that cares about their work and will stand behind it. In 2012, Magnolia installed a water heater in my condo.
One morning about a few months ago, I noticed that the floor of one of my bedrooms was saturated with water. The water was a result of a leak on the water tank. When I looked at where the leak was coming from, one of the pipes was all rusted and calcified (I was told by another plumber that this was the result of a slow leak over a long period of time). I called Magnolia right away (around 10 am) to have someone come out. They said that they most likely couldn't get someone out to me until the next day. I did my best to hold back the leak in the meantime but by night the leak had gotten worse and I called their emergency number. They did send someone out but said that they would charge me $134 (they did reluctantly reimburse this after many, many phone calls and emails). When the man came and looked at the tank he said to me more than once I shouldn't say this, but your tank shouldn't be doing this. He couldn't do anything that night to stop the leak. The tank continued to leak through the night. He came back the next day and replaced a small PVC pipe that was causing the leak and I was charged $262. Since then I have had a Master Plumber come out who owns a small business. He was appalled at the work he saw. I was told the quality of the materials used were poor (PVC vs. copper, etc.) and that the tank was a ticking time bomb. He said it was only a matter of time before we had another leak. When I sought out Magnolia to make this situation right, they gave me the run around. The people I talked to said they would get back with me and they did not. I had to make phone call after phone call and each time I had to retell the situation. Needless to say, they wouldn't take responsibility for the damage caused by their poor installation. I have incurred many costs related to the initial installation including having the pipes on the tank replaced with copper and a pan put under the tank, which by Virginia state law should have been there to begin with.
The only thing I can say now is that I am more educated about plumbing and I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone.

Real Plumbers sent two of their employees to my home to do an estimate for a piping issue relating to my furnace. One of these individuals as it turns out is a white supremacist and possible white supremacist militia member. Based on the very large tattoos on this mans forearm (three per cent and another Aryan Brotherhood) I did a search of the description of the tattoos being aware of some of these very specific types of markings. I cannot believe Real Plumbers would send these types of people into a customer's home. This is neither professional nor safe situation for customers or potential customers.
