Best Sewer Line Installation in Washington DC
As always the company is great! Good communication, they fit shoe covers on, every tech who's come by has very nicely dealt with my questions and comments and me watching what they do(out of curiosity!). I've had them come out for HVAC issues and seasonal check up's as well as for plumbing and would absolutely call them for other services if needed.

On February 12th, 2022, W.L. Staten sent a tech out to install a simple easy trap on my basement unit and a wet switch on my attic unit. Since that visit, my life has been turned upside down!!!
On that same day, five hours prior, I had my ducts cleaned by another company. Before the W.L. Staten tech arrived, my heat had been running successfully without any problems for five hours prior to their arrival.
When the tech arrived, he advised that the install of the easy trap and wet switch would take approximately 40 minutes in total. Almost close to two hours later, the tech was still in my attic installing the wet switch.
When I approached him to see what the problem was, he kept saying that there was something with the fan. When he advised that it was okay to turn the heat back on, all of this smoke started coming from my vents in my master bedroom. The room got instantly foggy. When I asked him what he did to my system, he said it was like that when I came, which was a lie!! Both systems were in tip top shape before the tech arrived. Prior tSmoke was NEVER coming from my vents!!!
I called back to the company and spoke to Chris, who was so incredibly rude to me and was making me feel like I did something wrong!
The next morning, February 13th, I woke up severally dizzy and have been plagued with health issues that have worsened ever since!!! The fire department and Washington Gas have been called to get to the bottom of why my HVAC is making me sick. All they can tell me is that no carbon monoxide is being emitted from the units, which I already knew from previous inspections.
As time progressed, my dizziness had turned into numbness and tingling in my head, and lower extremities. The inside of my nose, mouth, throat and tongue starts burning every time the heat kicks in. I would get sharp pains in my eyes. My legs would feel weak like they were going to give out. I've even had relatives come over from North Carolina to stay with me for a couple of days and they would start feeling sick. Every month since February, I have been in the ER plagued with these symptoms!!
I have hired 3 companies to look at my HVAC system and the final company was the ONLY company that thought to check my refrigerant levels. On 5/22 leaks were found in both units, with the attic unit being the worse.
I strongly believe both of my units were sabotaged by the W.L. Staten tech. The smoke from my vents was refrigerant that was intentionally leaked. And I have been breathing in those gases, which explains my health issues!
What is the probability of both units having a refrigerant leak at the very same time? It is no secret that the technicians at W.L. Staten work on commission which means they've got to sell something to make money!! Consumer BEWARE!

We urgently needed our garbage disposal replaced. They bought it, removed the broken one and replaced it with the new one. The worker put down a tarp and kept everything very clean and dry. The price was fair for what they did.

It's rare these days to find such an honest and affordable service provider, that also offers the highest level of competency. DB's Plumbing and Drain was the first company I called when my plumbing project became more than I could handle. David was able to quickly assess what needed to be done, provide me with options including different materials to use, and explain to me what the lifetime of the parts may be. I was able to make a very easy choice on how to proceed because of his honest and expert input. He and his specialist made swift of work of it all, and invent had to think about my leaking pipes since. They took pictures of their work site before and after, further building my confidence in their ability. If you need anything from basic faucet repair to entire water line replacement, there's only one option. DB's Plumbing and Drain. Their work is truly done right the first time. I'll recommend them to any and all in need of plumbing services.

Mr. Carlton was superb! We reached out to Exceptional Plumber when we felt we were being ripped off by a national brand company known world -wide and for the sake of not being sued in this sue happy country of ours, I will not mention their name, yet I wish I could. The company name being with a L and end with the Plumber. Exceptional Plumber came and did the job for far less than the plumber we called, wanted for to do the job. The other company wanted almost one thousand dollars and then wanted to sell us a new toilet. Way to do business. Not Exceptional Plumber. Mr. Carlton told us what the price would be up front and did an exceptional job to the point that when he was finish, we were surprised it did not take long and the toilet is running like new. We are about to bring them back to do another job in our other bathroom. Thank You Exceptional Plumber for placing consumer confidence back in the plumbing business.

If I could, I'd give 4 stars for the service. Great service. The one star is for the PUNISHINGLY HIGH PRICE Heil charges- I second the other review that says Heil charges twice the price.
We bought a water heater separately. AO Smith 500 series with 12 year warranty.
I called Heil to ask them how much they charge to install a water heater- ball park range--- how much is labor. They said they can't give that price over the phone. 4 days later, the tech comes out to install. He said it would take him 2 hours to install, and the price would be $1350!!!
I asked for an itemization of the costs- how much is labor, how much is parts? He said they just charge a flat rate that covers everything. Keep in mind, we already have the water heater. We just wanted them to connect it.
Hubby needed hot water, so I felt held hostage- and paid their $1350 for two hours of labor, a couple of copper pipes and the little blue water reservoir. See pictures.
So, if you call Heil to find out how much they charge to install a water heater you buy yourself, and they say they can't tell you over the phone, be forewarned it's a bundled flat rate of $1350.
Also, I asked them how much their hourly rate is for other work... $250/hour. That is the HIGHEST PRICE I have ever heard of. We're going back to Millersville Plumbing- they do great work at a much more reasonable price.

Great Service. Replaced tub faucets. Came in and provided an assessment of cost & time. Was able to schedule a more convenient time for the replacement directly.

Extraordinary!! We had a tricky project -- prep'ing the plumbing on a yacht for a new washing machine. Even though he saw some non-standard plumbing, Matt used his experience and creativity to save the day. It was more involved than he expected, but he just identified the problems and solved them. What a great attitude ... he never doubted that he could work things out. We recommend highly Opata Plumbing.

USE THESE GUYS IF YOU NEED A PLUMBER!!!!
We had a clogged exterior drain. I had called the other guy without using yelp...Boo me...the other guy wanted to start with tearing up my driveway to fix the clog and took some negotiating to get him to try to unclog it first, a fruitless endeavor at best.
I called Thomas E Clark after finding glowing recommendations here and I was excessively pleased with my service encounter with Andy S. This guy and his company are top notch professionals.
I told him what happened and had been happening and he went right to work. He used a vacuum cleaner, water, the biggest screw driver I have ever seen and skill to unclog the pipe that the other guy had said would need to be dug up. It seems that when the contracted who was flipping the house before I bought it has been flushing everything down the drain. Besides a heavy amount of mud and silt there were a few small rocks, a bungee cord clip, and a large rubber pipe coupler which was the base of the problem. He pulled it all out and stuck a hose in the drain...SUPRISE all the water went down and he didn't need to dig up the driveway and he knew he didn't have to dig up the driveway cause he did this thing called trying other options first. Something the other guy is apparently unable to perform, or didn't want to cause then he wouldn't have to do it and the company can charge me more. ( Don't know if you can tell but I was a little mad at the other guy) Andy also spent time telling me how to perform preventative maintenance to keep it from happening again, which equals concern for the customer.
Now, Andy S. did mention that they may have to dig up the driveway and pipe, but only if the other stuff was unsuccessful, but I'm okay with that because it is an honest assessment and a professional advisement. So Andy went right to work and was successful...but the other guy took 45 minutes and said the pipe was clean and we would need to dig up the driveway cause the water wasn't going down....hmmmm curious...what was he doing then? Eh, Who cares I won't use them again. I WILL be using Thomas E. Clark again though!!!
The other guy was played by a plumber from John C. Flood. Check out my less than pleased evaluation of them if you'd like, if not just do not use them.

Bad leak from inside the garage ceiling, called this place and they were great, starting from the actual call--Gus actually tried me back after we didn't connect right away. He also saw the note we sent to the website. He came out himself, that day, and handled it even when it turned out there were two leaks, not one. A good guy, very clear on the work and the pricing.

After: picture was of bathroom being remodeled. Friendly workers, he responded to messages and contacts quickly. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Wow, Mike the owner was serious. He said his company was conscientious. He said they wouldn't overcharge or hang around eating yo the hour with practice loitering in your home. He said we have the best prices and are super knowledgeable about plumbing and people. Well, a plumber named Rob just came to my house. And, even though Mike the owner promised me these things months ago. Rob came over quickly, worked quickly, and did a great job!

I had a great experience. My water heater tank started to leak in the basmement. I pretty much knew I needed a new one so when I called Bill, he came out the same day with a brand new heater and installed it. He installed the new water heater up to code and even showed me how to use it as well as properly maintain it. You do not know what you have until its gone and he really came and he came and saved the day for me and my family. I will be calling him again as well as reffering him to others.

Contacted a bunch of local plumbers to replace a water heater. Elliott was quick to respond with very reasonable pricing and a flexible schedule. He was also the only plumber who gave a detailed description of why the old water heater was not working properly after diagnosing it through our consultation. He arrived within an hour and finished within an hour. Fast and efficient! He is highly recommended.

The time their technicians take to explain things is especially appreciated. I'd highly recommend Mahon Plumbing for all of your plumbing needs!

Chris did a great job fixing my toilet at a good price. Will also use them for annual maintenance/de-scaling for my Rinnai tankless hot water heater.

Called Brahim in response to my Yelp email message regarding a noisy garbage disposal. In a prompt email response, he offered to visit my home the next day, a Saturday. I asked that he listen to my machine over the phone. He responded very quickly and helpfully that my appliance (motor) was reaching the end of its useful life (7 years old). It sounded to him like it was behaving just as an aged machine would; no need for a service call as eventually the motor would fail. (Meanwhile lots of water and small garbage loads.) Then, he'd be pleased to install a new machine. Needless to say I thought his feedback was a quality response from an experienced technician.
