UPDATED POST: After I posted this review I was contacted by Randy. He asked to give him a chance to make it up and also asked that I remove the negative (but accurate) review. I did. Randy sent a crew to come out. Randy arrived a bit later. He quoted me a ridiculously high price for the job, something in excess of $1,000. Randy said the job would require busting out the ceiling below and busting holes in the exterior of the home. I asked for a formal estimate to be sent. Per his request, I emailed him my email address before he left my house.
Guess what....never heard back!
I contacted another Plumber. They came out and was able to complete the job for about $250. It was simply a pipe replacement. I've been up and running with no issues since December. Residents beware
ORIGINAL POST (12/2019): I called to have someone to check out a plumbing issue that was connected with my washer. I initially called and spoke with Brian who then said that I will get a callback from his colleague Randy. Randy called I talk with him about the problem he said he could be out either Friday or Saturday. He even requested for me to send a copy of a picture of where the washer was located. And I did. When Friday came I did not hear from him so I decided to call him on Saturday. I wanted to confirm that this was something that he was still capable of doing and would still be able to come out. Randy said he was really busy and he apologized but then said he'll be out later on Saturday. Now it is a new week and it is Wednesday I have not received a call, text or anything back from either Brian or Randy. If this is how they conduct business I would NOT recommend them.
Final Update 2/2020...Brian Contacted me after my review. Thanks Brian for your response. Randy provided me with a verbal quote of over $1,000. As we discussed, I never received the estimate you referenced. I appreciate your followup after my post we're made. Thank you.

Daniel's Home Services replaced our sump pump and did an amazing job. They arrived on time and thoroughly communicated the work. What stood out the most, was how they went above and beyond in pointing out other issues that weren't related to the sump pump. We just purchased our home and they noticed something that was wrong with our water heater tank that didn't even get picked up in our inspection! Thanks to them, we were able to report this tank issue to the inspector in time for the insurance to still cover the cost of replacement. We really appreciate their thoroughness and will be using them for all of our future plumbing needs. Spanish speaking skills was also a huge plus for us. Highly recommend!

I want to give a huge THANK YOU to Matt Kloc for going above and beyond to make sure my dad's air conditioning was running and functioning correctly before I flew out over the very hot Memorial Weekend.
I realized this past weekend that you have to put your faith in trained professionals like doctors, mechanics and now a/c technicians to get the job done right.
My father is an 82 year old Army Vet widow that doesn't complain alot but I knew he couldn't go without a/c; Matt agreed and did everything in his power to get the parts and work completed.
I am grateful for Matt and Snell for taking such good care of us!

I have used Clover for a few years and I highly recommend them. They have great customer service and they are very responsive and polite. Just as important, they know what they are doing and they help you understand the problem and the best remedy. They don't try and sell you a mess of junk you don't need.

Anytime I have a HVAC issue I expect an expensive bill. I've typically always found technicians to over-inflate the issue. Not the case with Cardinal HVAC. They found a part to be clogged and dirty causing my heat to not work. Fixed it! Heats been working over 4 weeks later without the usual let's replace your whole unit. Thank You Mike!

Repaired a water hammer issue with a quick diagnosis of the solution.
In/out in a little over an hour with 30 min of that time dedicated to plumber glue properly drying.
I appreciated the military discount which put the price in line with prices for this type of repair I saw online.
Outstanding service, courtesy and professionalism I see why they have such high ratings.

I needed my gas water heater replaced. My water heater was 20 years old and the gas connections needed to be updated. Drymount Air gave me a fair price and came out and provided excellent service. I am very happy with my hot water heater replacement and will definitely use them again for any HVAC or plumbing needs.

The previous contractor left the fireplace with bad sealing. Fireplace won't work. David checked all gas pipelines, pressure regulator was missing and he got the part and put it. Cleaned up the bad job done by Calix home services the contractor that I had used earlier and got my fireplace working. Peter is very thorough about his work and excellent with his work.
Highly recommend him

Our gas fireplace stopped working suddenly, and when the company that installed it (Acme Stove -- with whom I'm not impressed) said it would be EIGHT WEEKS before we could get a service appointment, we decided to look elsewhere. Yelp led us to Jiffy.
We called Jiffy on Friday. They said they could send us a service technician on Tuesday!
The technician, Chris, arrived on Tuesday as scheduled, and was on time, personable, professional in manner, and quite willing to explain what he was doing in as much detail as I wished. The issue appeared to be a sensor problem, and he didn't have the correct replacement with him but offered to return the following day. He returned on Wednesday as scheduled, and got the fireplace operational, but then discovered that the receiver that allows the fireplace to be operated by the remote was also bad. No fault to him for not recognizing that sooner, since it couldn't be tested until the fire was operational. He assured us that he could acquire the replacement parts and return on Thursday -- in the meantime the fire could be turned off and on manually.
Up until this point, this would have been a 5 star review. But this is where we ran into some minor issues. Late Thursday afternoon, he still hadn't arrived, so I contacted him, and he said he wouldn't be able to get here until Friday. Not the end of the world, but I had stayed home all day waiting for him, so that was not ideal. However, he arrived on Friday as scheduled, and installed the receiver. But at the end of the process, he handed me a new remote -- he hadn't said anything about changing remotes -- and the new one was just a basic on/off version. Our old one had been a sophisticated model that allowed the operator to program a room temperature at which the fire would turn itself off.
Obviously, the new remote was not acceptable. To his credit, when I pointed that out, Chris didn't dispute the point at all, and immediately called in to Jiffy to arrange to get the situation resolved. He ran out to fetch supplies, came back, and was able to make the old remote speak to the new receiver, so all was well.
Chris should have told me in advance that his initial plan would involve changing to a simpler remote -- I would have told him that change wasn't acceptable. But when the issue arose, he rectified the problem quickly, courteously, and professionally. I also wish he'd been able to get here on Thursday as planned, but that wasn't a huge hardship.
Overall, our experience with Chris, and with Jiffy in general, has been quite good. I will absolutely be calling them for future work of this sort.

I have been a customer of John Nugent & sons for multiple years. They have always come through for me - especially their tech JASON YIM. He came today to do my cooling system checkup - and solved problems I didn't know I had. This man really knows his business - worked smoothly and professionally - and respected my home and yard. The A/C is a blessing in this awful heat. I am so pleased I was smart enough to hire John Nugent & Sons - and have Jason at the door!
For those who complained Nugent didn't show up on time nor called - it is okay to remember Techs also have to respond to emergency calls - especially for heat. Before you are late for dinner, be glad they still were there to handle your needs.

I had a mysterious water leak, and Jackie from Bowman's had it figured out and fixed in no time at all (and, for a very reasonable price)! I will be sure to call Bowman's next time I have a plumbing need. Thanks!

Magnolia came highly recommended by my neighborhood blog, so I set up an appointment, even though the cost to just show up was going to be $147. The appointment window was 8-10 a.m. later that week. They called the night before to confirm the appointment. On the day of, I called at 7:52 to ask if I would get a heads-up call when they were on their way. I was second in queue with a wait time of 1 min. I waited 9 min and hung up. I called again to select the option of having them call me back, by hitting the # key. I did that and nothing happened....the recorded messages just kept playing. They did not show up on time. At 10:23 someone called to ask if anyone was home. I was already on to my next commitment for the day. I am not impressed. I should have read the other negative reviews on Yelp. Maybe I dodged a bullet.

This review is in regards to my overall experience with Real Plumbers. I had a new hot water installed by another company around a year ago and was throwing a code on my Honeywell gas valve that something was wrong with my venting for the water heater. After a few failed attempts at the first plumber that came out to my residence, I decided to call the manufacturer (A.O. Smith) to try to get a good plumber from them. They threw a few companies out at me that were factory trained. I did my research and decided to go with Real Plumbers. I called up and one of the technicians came out and I talked through what was wrong with the hot water heater and he wrote up an estimate for new flu piping and a new expansion tank.
I went and called other companies for a few estimates for the expansion tank and came back to Real Plumbers to see if they could do better on the pricing, which they did and I was happy about that. So after all that I decided to get them out and do those 2 things.
After that is when things got messy. The technician arrived on time but it was a different technician. I asked the technician where the other guy was that originally came out and he said he was sick. Okay, not a huge deal but the other guy sounded like he knew exactly what needed to happen to fix my flu piping. So after the technician came in I noticed he was holding a bucket and it had steel piping. Well, that was completely different than the original write up and my specific water heater was only approved for PVC/CPVC piping. The whole reason I went with this company was because they are factory trained for my hot water heater. After some talking (because I was not going to allow steel pipe on my hot water heater because I needed to send pictures to the manufacturer because the first plumber did that and they briefly took away my warranty because of it) the service technician looked at the manual and said I was correct. He then called up one of the other techs to come out to my residence and bring PVC piping. As time passed, he did read the manual so he could install it properly. He did take his time but after he was done my water heater still was not working properly. He then called up the manufacturer at my residence and they wanted me to send pics of the new piping. After he was off the phone he asked me if they stated anything else. I said yes they said something about it going to the outside (which this company did not do). He then went on to proceed and let me know that will be even more money. At this point I was not very happy because I just paid $330 to re-install incorrect piping thinking they will bring it up to manufacturer's specifications, which did not happen. Now, the technician is telling me it will cost a lot of money because I am located on a second floor condo and work needs to be done on the outside. Wish I would have known this beforehand instead of just installing piping to a certain point and then telling me this.
Frustrated with not getting an estimate when I requested one when he was at my residence I went with another plumbing company to extend the piping to the outside. This helped the problem but it is still there so I sent in pictures to the manufacturer and they stated that there are 2 elbows next to one another and that is installed incorrectly (and this was the Real Plumbers work). Now I am really furious because I paid $330 for an incorrect job. At this point, I decided to call Real Plumbers (because it was a few months later) and told them the situation. I was informed that I now have to pay a $89 service call fee, but was told they would re-do the piping if it was found that it was their fault.
I sat on this information for a few days and called back because a new problem propped up and I needed to install a new Honeywell Gas Valve on my hot water heater. I called up saying I had the part and need it put on. Again, I was told an $89 service fee and they need to 'diagnose' the problem. First, it happens intermittently, so the chance it happens when they are here is low. Plus, I tried again getting a quote and they want to come out and the representative would not give me an estimate.
I just find this weird because another company I am dealing with usually charges a service fee too but they said if I have the part and the manufacturer is saying that that is the problem, than they do not need to charge a service fee and are getting me a quote. It seems like it is like pulling teeth with these plumbers. They all were very nice to me (to include the plumbers and the phone reps) and actually seem customer-service oriented in their tone, but if you cannot back up your work and want tons of money to come out then I cannot trust a company like this.
A true professional that stands behind their product should come out with no service fee if they screwed up, not inform the customer that they need to charge because they need to see the set-up and how it was originally done. Will not be recommending them!

I am really sorry I wasted my time with these guys and should have read the reviews first. Unfortunately they were the ones that answered the phone first and did send a technician out to the house in a fairly timely manner. As I knew exactly what the problem was all i wanted was someone to order a replacement part for my furnace and install it. The problem was a blower fan that the bearings had died which is fairly normal for an older furnace. The technician advised the cost would be around $600 which is what I expected as I had researched the part and a new motor runs about $250. I paid a deposit to order the part and then subsequently received a phone call advising that the part was $3500 which is only slightly short of the cost of a new furnace. The motor does come with an electronic controller but even with the controller the online cost of both is about $700. So somehow the cost of the part through these guys is about five times the cost through internet suppliers. It appears to me they really wanted to sell me a new furnace which the technician tried a soft sell but I advised I was not interested. Right now I am out my deposit for the part which I never received. I would say take your business someplace else.
