Best Gas Furnace Repair in Washington DC
I called Plump Right Plumbing later in the day, i thought they wouldn't come over until the next day. Brent came by immediately and stayed until the job was complete.
Since I'm giving up DIY plumbing Plumb Right will be my first call.

Have come out twice to fix our boiler when we returned from vacation to a cold house. (Yes, this happened twice in one year). The most recent time, I called at 6:30 PM on a Saturday and was initially told service person would come within an hour. They called back and said he was stuck at another job, but could come around 10 PM. I said I'd look for another company, thanks, but couldn't find anyone else to come out. Called them back and said could he still come? Yes, he came out even though it was almost midnight when he was available, and got the system working again. Would give 5 stars for service, but on the previous repair they did extra work that was supposed to fix the problem, only to have the same problem recur a year later.

We have a maintenance contract with them for our incredible wonderful mini split by Mitsubishi. Sila always calls us to remind us of our maintenance needs. They provided very flexible schedule. Their technician arrived on time. Masked, vaccinated, and knowledgeable. He did a great job and pointed out a few items to be aware of on our 5 year old system. Quick, convenient, and thorough, you can't ask for better service. Well done. Robert was our technician.

Called Clark Plumbing on Monday morning and arranged service call for Tues afternoon between noon and four. Explained urgent circumstances of 94 yr old man living alone with clogged pipe plumbing issue. He is attended from noon to four by an in home health nurse Was told there was a $69 charge for plumber. Fine, expected that. Was called Tuesday afternoon at four advising it'd be five for the plumber to arrive...they were running behind. Explained I cannot keep the health nurse after her scheduled four o'clock departure, so had to re-schedule for following day again between noon and four. STRIKE ONE. Plumber arrived as planned shortly after one on Wednesday. Housekeeper called (I could not be there) and informed me the charge was to be $292.00. I recoiled at that having a fair knowledge of what was needed to correct the clogged pipe issue, but begrudgingly agreed as George (the 94 yr old owner had been without water for 3 or 4 days). I could have denied the cost, had the Clark plumber go away after having paid the $69 service fee and tried to re-schedule another firm know it's likely be two or three more days before the new plumber could come out to fix the problem. Clark had me over a barrel. So I spent $292 for a snake job to clear the clog, the work took less than an hour total and included no new parts. An hour's work for $292. Outrageous! STRIKE TWO. Called and talked to plumbing supervisor about charge and was informed that Clark does not charge by the hour but rather by a list of services. Work done included removal of trap and snaking main drain. I had removed the trap myself so the work was started before he began his effort. Was told the normal cost of the service provided was actually $ 50 or so more than I was charged. Bottom line, little satisfaction with talking to the supervisor. STRIKE THREE. I believe the charges were excessively high because the plumber was dealing with a vulnerable pair of customers (a health nurse with limited English capability and an infirmed 94 yrs old man). I will not use Clark again and recommend any future customer to be aware and cautious in contracting them.

I had Snell install a new HVAC system in my home. They did a great job! The salesman was very professional and the installers kept me informed of progress along the way. I would recommend them.

Very responsive to our plumbing issue, Nick K. was very comprehensive, thorough, and helpful in explaining the problem and remedy. Answered all my questions in terms I could understand and provided additional information on other concerns. Will definitely use Cardinal again and highly recommend!

I'm very glad I got these guys out to my house to check my HVAC situation. They were my second opinion and not only were they prompt and available in a pinch, but quoted me 1700 less than the first place and they had a more coherent explanation for the actual issues. While I mull over how I'm going to finance this adventure, I couldn't be happier to have them come give me a quote and be straightforward and professional. I'll update once I sell an organ for the job they need to do (not because they're expensive but because WHY does HVAC have to cost a year of community college tuition plus a food plan for a football player who eats 17 times a day? Best analogy I have and maybe that doesn't even cut it...could buy a cheap CAR to replace these systems. Wooof). I feel confident that they'll do a good install and I can cross this off my things they ought to teach in high school about adulting.

Very responsive, quick diagnosis and fix! They were happy to explain what they were doing, answer questions and were knowledgeable. Had the part I needed on their truck and got my A/C working again. Would recommend them to all!

On Saturday night my townhouse was getting really hot and I noticed that warm air was blowing through the vents. I tried everything I could think of to rectify this issue but nothing worked. I tried to get an HVAC company out but no one was available. Three companies including OHA responded, but OHA was able to get a technician to my house by 0800 Monday morning. Brian and Zach were able to run diagnostics, and determined that my thermostat had gone bad and had actually turned on heat instead of A/C. They got the problem diagnosed and a new thermostat installed inside of 90 minutes. HVAC work is always expensive but the charge was in line with what I expected. The techs were very courteous and got the work done so that I could get into the office without losing an entire day.

My refrigerator was not freezing or cooling. Of the vendors I requested a price quote from, Pablo was the quickest, responding and confirming my appointment late in the evening (after 10pm!). He was able squeeze me into his busy schedule and come by and diagnose the situation the next day. He's extremely thorough in his diagnosis, checking and testing everything and explaining what he's doing every step of the way. At the end he shared with me that the compressor for our fridge is still under warranty and the manufacturer should easily be able to replace it - which I called the same day and confirmed a warranty replacement of the required part. Highly recommend him to anyone who needs his skills and thoroughness.

I had a potentially devastating problem with the plumbing in my crawlspace. After another company bailed on me, Jiffy Plumbing sent out Jeremy who worked tirelessly to get everything fixed. The attention to service, the quality of the job, and the friendliness of the staff were all huge pluses. In the end, though the price was a little higher than my home warranty would pay, Jiffy Plumbing & Heating saved me thousands of dollars and a lot of stress. Thank you Jiffy Plumbing and thank you Jeremy.

We had a great experience with Nugent and sons. They were professional, covered every base and left my house as if they were never there, except for the beautiful job they did installing our complete hvac system which was due for replacement. They finished the job by sending a sweet thank you in the mail. Classy!

Timely and informative. Had to replace my hot water heater and they provided a great install and price. Jackie and Edwin were courteous. I'd definitely do business with them again!

Spent 15k to install a navien combi boiler earlier this year. My Mother used to be friends with Dominic long while ago via CChurch so she pushed me to use them.
Issues with no heat. Magnolia's 24 hour emergency service is included in the Gold Plan. Called at 6 pm last night. Was told nothing was available until 8 am. When I inquired why no one was available sooner, the very disinterested sounding scheduler stated that Magnolia only has one team.
Okay.
Finally got the tech in here. He pulled the cover off the combi boiler and then said he was going to call Navien.
Two hours later and he's still sitting in his truck apparently waiting to hear back.
Called Navien and they said they suggest using NSS local and trained repair contractors. They told me magnolia just sell the units. Yikes.
From what I understand this issue should involve a failure of the 3 way valve or an issue with the thermostat.
I'm so cold and confused right now.
Will update review with nice shiny news if this gets fixed already.
Update 24 hours later. After I had a meltdown, the HVAC manager sent out a two man team who fixed it after 6 hours. They did a great job and were very professional. It also turns out that what I guessed was wrong was the problem after all. Navien combi boilers have a bad 3 way valve. So I would think twice before buying one.
Back to one star again.
No heat after all Plus two caps that are meant for the combi boiler sitting on floor in pool of water. The water is from the combi boiler being taken apart to work on the 3 way valve.
The water has seeped down into the carpet.
My cat got down there and puked nearby, i hope the water wasn't bad or filled with chemicals.
It's now 12/22 and on day 3 of not having heat.
It's about to get down to a real feel of -2 here.
Really feel silly for imagining things were fixed properly.

We have used Real Plumbers for many years. Most recently, we had a major repair to the pipes running under our floor leading to our radiators for heat (1890 house). They coordinated well with the flooring contractor, and all is working fine. They have also replaced a toilet, replumbed the half bathroom and installed a pedestal sink. We also noted the employee mentioned in other reviews. When we told the manager, we did not want him working in our house, they put a note in our file. We have had only pleasant interactions with the other employees and are glad they are training apprentices to work on 100+ year-old steam radiator systems.

I purchased a water heater at Home Depot and used HD's website to schedule an install. Michael & Son was selected and gave me a call. Had to wait until the next day for someone to come out and give me an estimate. I asked for a ball-park estimate on the phone and they said it would be around $500. I know what needs to be done, the condition of the plumbing, and the working environment. This couldn't be an easier install, so I figured it shouldn't go much over $500.
They have a four hour window for their estimates. Seems a bit crazy, but they did agree to call me 30 minutes before arriving and I met them there. That was the only good thing about Michael & Sons. I appreciate them working with me no the timing at least.
The quote came in over $800. $300 of that was for parts, which would total $40 at HD. Insane. Wish I would have gotten a little better ballpark estimate. Could have saved us both the time. Found another company to do it for around $400. Such a straight-forward install... No way I'm paying that kind of markup for parts and that much for about 2 hours work.
Looking at some of these other reviews, the price they gave me looks cheap! Do your homework people, get a competitive bid before going with Michael & Sons. Now I see how they can afford their Super Bowl ad.
