Bob Hauer Plumbing came highly recommended on NextDoor, so I called for a quote.  He came out and, most importantly, made friends with my dogs.  :)  He provided a quote, and got me on the schedule as soon as I accepted.  He accommodated my request for early morning, which is a huge help.
I had him installing a whole home water purification system that I had purchased independently.  He told me it would take just about all day, which surprised me.  However, once you see the finished product, it is a beautiful sight to behold.  
He used copped piping as we discussed.  He placed the system where we discussed, and it is oddly nice looking.  
He took additional steps I noticed along the way - like tying back my plants to both hold them out of his way, and to protect them.  It looked like pigtails and ponytails!  

Once he got going, he worked steadily and was chipper, kind of singing along to some 90s jams as he worked, and he sounded like he was in a great mood!  I work from home, so it was a nice touch nice having a cheerful person to hear in the background, just going about his business happily.

Now - my 1968 house ALWAYS brings complications and surprises.  This time was no exception, unfortunately.  Twice it foiled him - temporarily.  

When this happened, he would work until he could not - always leavi g me with working, running water, and cleaned up pristinely.  

Now, I know we all EXPECT co tractors to clean up.  Its part of the gig.  I dont think I have ever ever seen a cleaner site.  Each time he left, it may have been cleaner than when he got there.  No exaggeration, we all have trees and yard debris.  It has been a rainy, windy winter in San Diego - I think he swept up some of my leaves in addition.  

Bob was always pleasant, calm, personable, and sweet.  Even when he ran in to surprises that necessitated extra time or supplies, he informed me with a smile.  When he told me about one of the complications, and I replied Can that be done??  He replied I can do anything  with a smile.  

I would wholeheartedly recommend his plumbing services.

Marco is extremely professional! He arrived early and was very prepared. He fixed my dryer and cleaned it thoroughly. He left the laundry room spotless. Fair price and great service. Highly recommend! I'll be reaching out to him again if needed.

I had a plumbing emergency where my sewer lateral backed up all the way from the street into our home. I was referred to Plein Plumbing and they were excellent. They fixed what they could but unfortunately I had to get it check with a camera and they referred me to a great guy that helped me out. If you need any plumbing job done, these are the guys to do it!

I sent a quote from Yelp and they were able to get someone to come out and give me a quote in two days! They called and scheduled an appointment. The best thing they did was text me with who was arriving and they even sent me a photo! That made me super comfortable knowing in advance who would be in my house. Sean showed up and was able to figure out what was going on with our outlets in a matter of minutes and fixed the issue in less than 30! Thank you so much Pt. Loma Electric!

Bill and Carlos have quickly come and fixed several problems, from water leaks under the house to a water heater whose pilot light wouldn't start. They also installed a new kitchen sink. Good neighborhood guys.

C & C Plumbing has been incredible, given the misfortune we've had with a slab leak.  Lance and his team were timely, polite, thorough and efficient.  Setting up an estimate and the work was great - simply text the owner, Cameron, and he gets back to you right away.  Their plumbing work is excellent, and they were great about cleaning up afterwards, even dusting off our furniture.  Pricing seems competitive as well.  We've found a plumber for life!

These dudes kick butt..I had a bunch of old crap in the back patio and they showed up on time and tossed it!! I  highly recommend this company..oh and bye old surfboard..

I called Pure Window Cleaning because they had good reviews. They were friendly on the phone, and we're able to set up an appointment within a couple days. They showed up on time, gave me the price upfront, then did the work faster than any previous window cleaners I've had. The windows were cleaner than ever when they left, so I set up with then to come out 3 times a year to keep the windows looking good. Very satisfied

Looking to install an A/C unit and replace the old furnace in my house, I received three quotes from three different vendors.  Justin from Same Day came out and gave me a quote right away after going through the property and talking to us.  Even though his quote was higher than the others, I decided to go with Justin because his company seemed most reliable.  I'm glad I made the choice.   The installation crew of four technicians came out and diligently completed the work to my satisfaction within one day.   They even moved the A/C unit to another location along the wall after the installation which required them to come back out on another day and re-do the wiring and the ducting.   I am more than satisfied and plan on using them for future maintenance and replacements.  I highly recommend this company.

I am really grateful for Tim. He came and helped me to replace my old backflow device. He came on time with all the tools needed and some of extra parts for the installation. He did the test after installing the new backflow device and emailed me the report, all that with very reasonable price.
I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Highly recommend this company. Pip was quick to respond, had great communication, was punctual, was very knowledgeable regarding the issues with my garbage disposal (he even noticed an issue with my sink that I hadn't even noticed), and he also saved me $450.00 when another company wanted to waaaayyy over charge me to replace a broken garbage disposal. You can really tell that he is passionate and prideful about his work and not in it to rip people off. I will 100% be using this company again!

Another great job by the works.  This time my shower wasn't draining... John came out and had it fixed within 10 minutes!

Putting these folks at the top of my list for plumbers. They showed up on time, were great communicators, agreed on scope, and delivered to the price they quoted (site unseen). John Allen in particular was quite impressive. Highly recommend.

These guys were super communicative and easy to reach.  They sent out a plumber to my restaurant within the hour and he had my issue diagnosed and the parts ordered right away.  Waiting for him to come back with the parts and do the install but he was quick and easy to work with.  Would recommend.

Two $9 screw on valve replacements and I was quoted $517 to replace. I explained that I know each part is $9, and I was told I pay for the service and guarantee. No thanks!

Thanks to Vanguard Plumbing for the professional and competent plumber sent to us.  After having two major companies give us bids that were outrageous, we contacted Vanguard who sent Dave.  The first company's quote for changing the kitchen sink faucet of $380.00 labor only and $120.00 each to replace hot and cold water valves.  Vanguard charged $178.00 to change the kitchen faucet and $79.00 for each valve.  And at no extra charge Dave inspected our toilets and valves and gave us pointers on maintenance we could do ourselves.
This experience shows how important it is to shop around and not just accept the first bid.  We are very satisfied customers and would recommend Vanguard and Dave to our friends, family and to all who read this review.

Hose bibs needed replacing .  Old school copper pipe sweating required a pro.  They did me one better and refit the plumbing so I wouldn't need a pro next time .  Happy with work and workers

I got recommended to ask RJB for help with a water heater installation. I knew *nothing* about them, what I would need, where to put it, anything. He answered my call, and came over the next morning to take a look for free. He explained different water heaters, how they work, and helped guide me to a solution that worked for my needs. I'm renting, so I can't do major modifications to my property.

He showed me camping water heaters and worked out a deal where if I did my own research, found one I liked, and ran it by him to make sure it would work for me, he would come and install it for his normal hourly rate. Any message I sent him, he got back to me within a few hours, and a couple times when I got confused he called to help me understand.

Once I got my water heater, he came over and installed it, once again walking me through everything and making sure I knew how it worked. I was missing a hose adapter and he had a spare in his van. He even took a look at a shower that was running too cold while he was here, fixed it, and was extremely reasonable with the price.

I loved how thorough, helpful, reasonable, and professional Bob is. I absolutely did not feel like he was trying to upcharge me or BS me with anything. I will be using his services again and recommending him to my friends. Thank you Bob!

Last Monday I awoke to a strange noise in my garage. It was my water heater making a noise like Niagara Falls and spewing out water along the back of my cabinets. I was unable to turn it off. I called Thompson Plumbing, where I had never been a client before, and in less than two hours hero Ramon showed up. He immediately was able to shut it off, removed the water heater, got a new one and installed it, and cleaned up all the mess that had been created. The whole thing from when I found it to when it was finished was less than six hours. I was very impressed and would call them again in a heartbeat for any future plumbing or HVAC issues. Stellar!!
