My wife found Elite Rooter thru ThumbTack app. We needed a toilet replaced (already had the new one ready to go). The angle stop needed to be replaced too (didn't cut the water 100%), along with probably the supply line at the same time since the toilet was already going to be removed.

The tech (Luis) got here when he said he would, and was very nice. Unfortunately, he quoted me a price of $500 just to swap out the toilet, and $129 (included the part) to change out the angle stop. Way too much!! Thanks but no thanks.

Found another company that would do it for $140 for toilet and $45 for angle stop.

Robert S from Black Mountain Plumbing knows his stuff and he is one of the few plumbers who have expertise on Moen Smart water shutoff. He answered all my questions really well and is good in communicating with  his customers. I recommend Robert and will hire him again in the future.

My experience with this company was a nightmare and is costing me thousands of dollars to remedy my problem. I hired California Plumbing to perform a sewer camera inspection as a final check before moving forward with a home purchase. Aaron, the owner, hastily performed the inspection and reported there were no issues. At that time I took his verbal report and his statement on his receipt (provided in attached photos) as dependable proof that the plumbing was in good condition. Short of two weeks after purchasing the home, dirty water started to come out of my bath drain and my toilets started to gurgle and regurgitate toilet paper and waste. I found another company and they discovered the pipe Aaron inspected was the wrong one and they are digging over 6 feet underground to expose where the problem is. If you want someone that truly cares about the quality of their work and isn't centered on churning customers, do not hire California Plumbing.

Aaron has been extremely uncooperative, unhelpful, and non-compliant. I have asked him for a copy of the sewer scope video and he has yet to produce it. I am certain he does not have a copy and is anticipating me to stop requesting it. He actually tried to defend his shoddy job and absolve himself of any wrongdoing. I hope this review finds those who are searching for a plumber and deters them from moving forward with this company. Also if you are a victim of his shoddy service file a complaint against him with the BBB or DCA! This is the only way we can stop these businesses from continuing their operations.

We had a slab leak and Daniel came out next day and most importantly ON TIME! His bid was very competitive and his crew did a fantastic job. We will use ProMax for our future plumbing needs.

Matt did some work on a property I have in Spring Valley.

He was thorough and although less expensive than some of the competition, he did not scrimp on quality.  He persevered with a challenging tenant and did not let it impact his accurate and objective assessment of several plumbing problems that had developed in part from the tenants hard use and in part due to normal wear and tear.  Bottom line,I did not believe the quote inflated at all which is as important to me as ensuring quality to make lasting fixes.

Payment was flexible.  My cashier check to him got tied up in mail due to an address problem (on me) and he was understanding and patient while we resolved the problem.

I will definitely be a repeat customer with this company.

We had a water heater problem. So the landlord contacted Paws plumbing. They sent Eric. He was great, he arrived on time, and was very professional. He explained everything and tried fixing the water heater by replacing the thermostat. It turned out it was the water heater itself as it was old and was inconsistent when it comes to heating up water. But guess what, he swapped out the entire water heater by himself. And it's working great since. Thanks!

Travis came out right away on an emergency leak and spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting for us. This was a head scratcher problem, for sure, but he patiently provided the needed attention for our situation. He was also extremely personable, respectful and polite. As much as you never want to need a plumber around all the time, it's great to know we have found our go-to plumber for the future.

Edward was professional and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions regarding other plumbing problems that we have.
He did the great job on fixing my faucets.
I received text messages prior to arrival as well as follow up text after completion of service. Quote was the most reasonable.
I will ask Twin Plumbing & Drain Cleaning, Inc. for other plumbing related problem in the near future again.

The valve to the water line on washer was leaking so called Carroll plumping and Mike the owner picked up and had Soultath his plumber over the same day. Soultath was very polite and respectful and did the job in quick and effective way. I also had them check the water pressure valve to the house he showed me on the pressure gauge that it was as I suspected bad. Had him back out first thing this morning to replace it. If you need great work at a fair price don't hesitate to give them a call. Thanks Mike and Soultath, if I have any future plumbing needs I know where to go!

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I had a slab leak and called By the Book to get a leak detection done. I made it clear that leak detection was the only service I needed from them that day, as I was going to weigh my options for plumbing. Leon came out and immediately was very condescending right off the bat. I get it, I'm a girl, I look young, but assuming I'm dumb is a bold move. I ask for leak detection, and Leon is already giving me the go around about why he can't do that. He tried telling me I don't have any water damage, even though I felt warm spots underneath our entire kitchen (meaning water was leaking and spreading under the vinyl). If I listened to Leon, we would have severe mold damage under our floors. I also knew there was water flowing in our bathroom and Leon said he didn't hear anything and implied I was just making up the noise. After not doing what I requested and instead doing a walk through of our whole house, Leon said he would be back in 5-10 minutes. He came back a full HOUR later! I had no idea what he was doing as I thought he was maybe preparing his leak detection equipment. Instead, he was ignoring my request and coming up with 10 different plumbing options to repipe the entire house. I was annoyed because all I wanted was a leak detection and Leon was refusing to do that. I quickly told him I wanted him to leave and he got visibly upset and threw a tantrum! I've never seen a professional old man do this. He told me I wasted his time, which I quickly reminded him that I never asked him to sit in his car for an hour. After throwing a fit, Leon finally left and I still had no leak detection done.

I called a different company, Mastercraft, and they came out, detected my leak, and showed me that I had bad water damage under the floors. They were very kind the entire time during the water remediation process and told me how to do everything through my insurance. I then called California Repipe and Plumbing to take a look at the leak and they had a very quick response time. They were extremely patient explaining the entire process to me and gave me very reasonable prices. It was clear they were not trying to take advantage of me and were there solely to help me.

By the Book Plumbing clearly does not train on customer service and they leech off people who are desperate for fixes. Be smart and do NOT hire this company! They will take advantage of you and be condescending the entire time.

We have used David and his crew three times now. They have always been on time, friendly, professional, and have done quality work for us. I would highly recommend!

When I speak with them on the phone they told me they will be in between 3:30pm and 4:30pm and He arrived at 3:30.

He knew what to do and how to take care of the problem clean up the work area after he was done. Steve was very professional

Clogged pipes - what a drag!  Certainly an unpleasant experience & way to spend your time & money.  But, having clear pipes will keep you from having to go through the hassle of MUCH bigger and more expensive problems.  The team at Affordable Drain will help you prevent the much bigger and more costly hassles.  They're pleasant (uber-patient with my many questions), responsive and thorough.  We've had no drain issues during the 10+ years we had their annual preventative maintenance clean-out.  VERY well worth the nominal cost.

I called All About Plumbing for a sewer blockage problem & they were at my door in 20 minutes.
 I told Troy that 14 years ago I dug up my yard to replace the sewer line & 6' of it was plugged solid with roots. Troy & Curtis worked on it for a couple hrs with a 3 cutting blade, it was getting late so they came back the next morning & sent a  high pressure water cutter jetter through the lines 7 times & finally broke through, they sent the camera down again & it showed more roots, used the 3 cutter on a snake for another hour before sending the camera down 1 last time, look like new.
    I've worked in the construction business for over 40 years worked with thousands of contractor's and never have I meet a more honest contractor & hard working team than Troy & Curtis. If you ever hire a contractor protect yourself & property by making sure they are licensed by the state of California, when hiring a scab contractor and you then become their employer & are responsible for all his damages & injuries on your property.

I would seriously give Christian 10 stars if I could. I called him in the morning to come over to my mom's house for a leaking toilet and a backed up pipe that another plumber had tried unsuccessfully multiple times to clear.
Thankfully Christian was able to come over in under a half hour and replaced the wax ring and reset and caulked the toilet beautifully. He then was able to clear the pipe that had given us so much trouble. He was very thorough, snaked two connecting drains that he thought were the issue, and started and drained the washer twice to make sure the issue was resolved.
He's a godsend if you're looking for a reliable, trustworthy plumber, who goes the extra mile to make sure the job is done right, look no further.

Knowledgeable, professional, kind, patient... The service from this company was ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations!! We had several plumbers come out to check our issue and there wasn't one that I was comfortable letting repair it. When Joe came out I had a much different feeling, he explained everything in detail and didn't mind all my questions. Repair was done on a day that was comfortable for us and even before the expected finish time! We found our plumber!!

Jeffrey was very kind to come check out the back flow device on our home.  After looking at the device, he let us know that he wasn't able to fix the device.  However, he was very straight forward and didn't charge us.  Thanks Jeffrey!
