This review is way overdue! AFFORDABLE, HONEST AND RELIABLE SERVICE! I will ONLY use Elite Rooter for any plumbing repairs or installations that I have! Hired this plumbing company last year to re-pipe our property. We had pavers installed on our front yard and the paver company damaged a pipe close to the main water switch, paver company did not want to be held responsible nor fix the water leak that they created! Called Elite Rooter ASAP and Devin came out to immediately work on the water leak. This company guarantees their work and will keep their promise to you, no matter how late in the day it is, Devin or a technician will come to fix the problem particularly if it is an emergency such as a huge water leak. Elite Rooter did not charge me a single penny for the repairs done. Thank you very much Elite Rooter!

My tenant at my business property in  Imperial Beach called to say the sprinkling system was not working correctly and water was just barely coming out and then it just ran into the street. My gardener could not figure it out and said maybe it was a  water company problem. The water company  came out and said I needed a plumber so I called  a highly rated one in Imperial Beach. They came and said they could not fix it. It was some sort of a valve  problem and suggested I call someone else. I looked on Yelp and chose California Plumbing. I sent them a text, they responded quickly and said they could come the next day. My gardener could only meet them at a certain time. I texted  them again and they said no problem.  Hector showed up early, pointed out the problem to the gardener, told him what to and did not charge!! I will certainly use them for any  further plumbing issues ! I have been telling all my friends how prompt, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable they were. Thanks California Plumbing. Daniel recently installed a whole house Pelican Combo Filter and Water Conditioner to eliminate chloramines and hard water, paired with a reverse osmosis system for fluoride and other impurities that may exist in municipal water. Very pleased, as always, with the quality of work, the ease of communication, professionalism and knowledge over plumbing systems. Daniel narrowed down my whole house filter search to two systems and I decided for the more expensive system as the ongoing maintenance and cost was lower over lifetime of system after initial outlay. In all my research Daniel's recommendations were all on point. I highly reccomend ProMax Tankless for all your plumbing needs.

I'm so glad that I called this company 3 days ago, when i was looking for an honest, reliable, professional  and knowledgeable people who would help me with my water leakage problem, as detected by Otay Water District in their last meter reading and I was told tht my bill is 5 X higher than  usual. I was very concerned.
Joe answered my call and sent Chris & Jay to diagnose the problem. Chris thoroughly explained what was causing the leak. I asked them to shut  the water off, to prevent more leaking  until they came back the next day, with Angel and they skillfully did their job. They dug part of the front yard to gain access to the area that they needed to replace. And today, they came to finalize their job. They re-planted my roses and the put back the borders.The owner, Matt , came to check what was done  and re-checked the 3 toilets and realized that they were leaking, also the faucet in the front and in the backyard and so they replaced the old and faulty parts. And Matt was so kind and generous, in not charging me extra !
I felt so relieved, after. I can't thank them enough for a job well-done !!!

I was out of town and my house sitter called CML to fix a water leak.  Chris responded rapidly and had my water main back and operational in no time.  Great service!

Don kicked ass. He was sweating and getting dirty tearing massive roots out of our toilet drain pipe. I imagine some plumbers would have ran away. Really nice guy!

Travis recently replaced our 30g tank water heater with a 40g tank in our newly-purchased 1958 home in Serra Mesa. The existing tank was about 10 years old and had started leaking into the containing drain pain pretty significantly. The tank was also leaning and had a number of other issues with the installation mentioned in our home inspection. It was also in a tricky location in the middle of the house but he was able to move things around and fit a 40g tank (our request, not an upsell). He addressed and resolved all the existing issues mentioned in the inspection and did an overall fantastic job of installing the new unit, supply lines, etc. He was professional, courteous and didn't hesitate to answer all the random questions I had.

I've actually replaced a water heater myself before in a different home where it was in the garage (easy access) and I've sweatted plenty of copper tubing over the years so I could certainly recognize the professional quality level of his work. As far as price, I thought it was very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to call on him again for any water or gas plumbing work.

Great company! I had issues with my water heater and they called right away and showed up the same day! I have also used them for my bathroom sink plumbing and they did an amazing job! The quality of the work is excellent and very prompt. I would highly recommend this company!

These guys are so awesome! I get a little angry when I see a 1 or 2 star review for them when it's unwarranted. Anyone who thinks guys are out to rip anyone off - doesn't know them and their work ethic, and is probably super paranoid! We have used them multiple times now and they are just great people that do great work for a super fair price.

Was able to make a appointment that worked out for me, serviceman was there on time and even went out of the way to provide extra service out of work our, price was lower than expected

David was great! He was prompt, professional, and thorough. He spotted the issue immediately, gave me a quote, had the pieces in his truck he needed, and fixed my leak quickly. I've had no problems since and I'll certainly call him again!

Another 5 star review.  Last thing you want especially on a Saturday afternoon is to get a call from a tenant telling you there's water leaking from the building.  Our usual plumber doesn't work weekends, which left us scrambling for an available plumber.  Luckily for us, there was Yelp and Rich from Touchdown Plumbing.  He answered the phone immediately (!!!) and was at the property before we were.  An hour and a reasonable invoice later, crisis averted and Saturday saved.

Thanks, Rich!  We'll be sure to keep you in mind for all our future plumbing needs.

I needed to replace my garbage disposal and Gabe flawlessly completed the job. He was available within 2 days and showed up right on time.

Had an unexpected bathtub full of water I couldn't get rid of so I called on a Saturday around noon. I had a very considerate and efficient guy show up (I am so horrible with names, sorry) within an hour and he had the problem fixed in a  about 40 minutes. 5 stars for him, 3 stars for the $285 it cost me for under an hours worth of work.

Troy arrived on time wearing a mask (unlike the previous company I had to constantly remind to cover his nose), he was extremely courteous, prices were very reasonable. Issue I had was a constant water pipe rumble, rattle. At night the noise would present itself in almost perfect timing of 35 second intervals and for some reason it got EXTREMELY loud at night, like a Harley was in the next room revving up. A previous company couldn't identify the problem of the rattling and tested my pressure from a spigot outside which read 100 psi. The tech told me I needed a new regulator since it shouldn't read over 80'ish. When Troy arrived he asked for a water hook up as well and when I took him to the same spigot he immediately said no, no, I need one coming off the house, that's a irrigation spigot, those won't give you accurate reading (I immediately realized I may have bought a new regulator from the other company for no reason).

Troy then went to work on finding the solution to my problem. He checked all the sink connections and even replaced the cartridge the previous company installed in my shower to rule out a last issue scenario, that wasn't the issue and I felt hope suddenly drain (pun not intended).

So I then showed him the pipe which was causing the most noise, it was located in my small pool pump room which also has a toilet. He flushed the toilet to get the pipes going and immediately noticed something odd-the toilet just didn't sound right. He lifted the toilet lid and noticed the water line was a bit off. When toilet would try and reset itself -the water level would go down and the toilet would refill itself..and the pipe would rattle...this repeated itself..EVERY 35 SECONDS! I said OMG I think he f'ing nailed it.. Long story short-he replaced the floater and flapper and all the other crap (pun not intended) inside as well as the hose at the bottom. As far as it being louder at night, Troy explained that during the day most homes are using water (ie flushing toilets, washing clothes, cooking, etc .,) and the water pressure locally 'decreases'...at night most people are winding down and relaxing or in bed and the water pressure returns to normal or 'rises' resulting in more pressure/energy in the pipes to create a louder rattle. That solved both mysteries (increase in sound and the time intervals). I like problem solving lol..Anyway it's day two and I haven't heard a peep out of the pipes since.

If they ever gave out Nobel prizes for plumbing Troy definitely deserves one!

The price in all this was extremely reasonable, whereas the other company wanted me to exchange my water heater circulation pump at a cost of over $700 (Troys solution didn't even involve the circ pump and his fee was a fraction of that).

Needless to say I'm happy, and Troy comes HIGHLY reccomended!

I found the service provided by Associated Backflow Professionals/ABP Backflow to be very impressive.  It's easy to communicate with Jeffrey, the owner, via the ABP Backflow website.  Jennifer, the ABP staff member who carried out the test, was friendly and efficient.  The process ABP Backflow has set up wherein the unit owner sends in a pdf copy of the City of San Diego test form before the test date means it's possible for the test to take place without the owner being physically present (as long as any protective cage around the backflow prevention device is unlocked).  It also eliminates the risk that if the unit owner is present when the test occurs that there is a potential problem of no available form for the backflow tester due to the owner having misplaced it.  Kudos to ABP Backflow for the valuable services the staff is providing owners who need to get their backflow prevention devices tested!
