A year ago, Kyle and Elite Rooter team completely removed and replaced old plumbing (plumbed with no slope/grade starting at the sink) from kitchen sink all the way to city connect point. Amazing job, quick, clean, and professional. Just today, Kyle came to the house on short notice (1hr after I texted) - because the sink backed up again. No fault to them, the long run from sink to outside connect point doesn't allow for much slope. We need to be more selective about what we put down the disposal because of our situation. Thank you Kyle, you guys rock. Enjoy the holidays out in AZ!

Preface - I have not paid for any services from Black Mountain Plumbing - this only relates to my experience in trying to get a quote.

I was looking for a quote for a main line sewer replacement.  Like others whose houses were built in the 60's we have a cast iron sewer line than is reaching the end of its usable life.  I have 4 other vendors coming out to take a look - all to bid on the job.  Only Black Mountain Plumbing said that coming for an estimate was billable work at $230 per hour.  This fee, they said could be applied to the work if we chose them as a vendor.

They were cordial and friendly but happy to pass on the potential work. I was happy to pass on paying a vendor who charges service fees to create a quote for a multi-thousand dollar job.

There was a bathtub leak and they came for repair.  Tech tried to charge $1500 for repair,  when the only issue was a $20 leaking tub spout.  Tried to tell me the shower valve was bad and too old and needed replacement and the tile had to be cut out.  The valve is a Moen and only 3 yrs old and was in perfect condition.  Repairman tried to scare me saying he will report to the HOA unless I allowed the billing.  VERY dishonest company that tries to screw you and then threaten you.  Watch out !

Absolutely perfect experience with ProMax!

When deciding to install a tankless heater, I received bids from SEVEN different local plumbers. ProMax had the best price by far and they did an excellent, clean, job of installing the unit. There was one, very minor, issue with the install and the owner, Daniel, came out right away to fix it.

These guys are such a blessing. I have now used them twice for my rental properties. Dave is a super nice guy. They are very thorough in their explanation. They are punctual and communicative which is nice when you are a busy person. I recommend them and will continue to use them for my plumbing needs.

Had a shower clog that was caused by old, rusted out cast iron pipes. The cause of the clog was ~25ft away from the shower drain itself and Zaby & Robbie were able to assist in cutting away stucco, replacing the deteriorated Y and getting the shower back to fully functional. Responsive and timely! Thanks for the help.

Travis recently replaced our 30g tank water heater with a 40g tank in our newly-purchased 1958 home in Serra Mesa. The existing tank was about 10 years old and had started leaking into the containing drain pain pretty significantly. The tank was also leaning and had a number of other issues with the installation mentioned in our home inspection. It was also in a tricky location in the middle of the house but he was able to move things around and fit a 40g tank (our request, not an upsell). He addressed and resolved all the existing issues mentioned in the inspection and did an overall fantastic job of installing the new unit, supply lines, etc. He was professional, courteous and didn't hesitate to answer all the random questions I had.

I've actually replaced a water heater myself before in a different home where it was in the garage (easy access) and I've sweatted plenty of copper tubing over the years so I could certainly recognize the professional quality level of his work. As far as price, I thought it was very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to call on him again for any water or gas plumbing work.

Wanted to replace my 74 gallon water heater because it was 14yr old. Got several quotes. Twin Plumbing was the most reasonable and responsive. Excellent communication. Came 2 days later and replaced as promised. Will defined use this company again for my plumbing needs.

I am absolutely impressed by the service I got from Carroll Plumbing.  I recently bought a house with a old water heater installed haphazardly and some water damaged subfloor in the upstairs bathroom.  Mike helped me diagnose the problem upstairs over the phone.  Jevat came in person and ran some tests and gave it the final blessing in person.  Jevat also installed a new water heater at lightning speed and hooked me up with some great advice.  Jevat went over and above installing everything I needed a catch tray, a dirt trap on the gas line, an expansion tank, all new hoses etc.

I definitely found my new plumbing service for the future when problem with my new house crop up.  Cant thank Mike and Jevat enough for their friendly demeanor and for going over and above to help get my problems sorted out.

My toilet was clogged/ draining slowly and when I plunged it, water started to come out of the tub. I contacted several businesses but they were either not available for a few days, or they took my information and the tech never called back.
After a few hours of waiting, I decided to go back on yelp and find another plumber.

That's when I found By the Book Plumbing Service. Leon answered my call and came over in minutes. On a Saturday! However, by that time the toilet seemed to have fixed itself? Leon made sure everything was working by running the sink and flushing the toilet several times. He could have easily told me that he needed to do some repairs and I would have believed him. Instead he said everything looked good and said to call back if anything changes.

I appreciate having an honest and reliable plumber that I can go to now

DON'T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE!

I called David after I had two other plumbers give me an estimate on an emergency job. The two estimates were extremely high and didn't feel that either had really looked for a solution to the problem.  Basically, they wanted to repipe my entire house!  

After reading all of the Yelp reviews, I called David.  He went right away to assess the problem and phoned within an hour of my call. It was only one small pipe that was broken!  

David is honest, polite, efficient, professional and won't sell you something you don't need.  

I would use his services again and highly recommend you call David if you need a reliable plumber.  I take that back,  call David if you need the BEST reliable plumber.

Got a leak in a copper pipe beside the water heater and had to shut off the water to the house on Sunday night. I sent an email on Memorial day morning around 730am to Touchdown. They responded with a phone call almost immediately - very impressive response. They were very transparent about pricing, emergency calls cost more, but with 2 kids I wanted the water ASAP. Within an hour they were working on the pipes and were able to fix the problem within 3 hours of me sending the email. Great service.

Gabe did an amazing job with my kitchen! I had a busted garbage disposal, a faucet that wouldn't turn, and a scratched up two compartment drop in sink that needed replacing. Gabe was very responsive to my calls and texts.

I had issues getting the sink shipped to me from Home Depot twice and ended up buying the materials in store. Gabe was very patient and didn't mind that I had to reschedule. If you need any plumbing work done, Gabe is a great handyman that can get the job done. I'll be contacting him for any future job I need done.

Had a bad leak and needed immediate service. They came out within an hour and had it fixed 30 minutes later. Robert was my technician. Super knowledgeable and friendly. Will call them first.

These guys, Troy & Curtis, really are , The Greatest!Honestly, how hard is it to find honest & reliable service 'peeps,these days, who arrive on time , work fast , efficiently , & even clean up after themselves.!They literally do know all about plumbing! We have called them for all our plumbing needs for the last 5 yrs..  no need to look any further, Troy & Curtis will solve all your plumbing headaches , you won't be disappointed !

Christian was on point! I know it can't always be the case but he was out within an hour and had us all taken care of in 15 minutes...if that! We had a clogged shower drain I couldn't get working. The best part of the experience was during the initial phone consultation he had given me suggestions for me to do that didn't require him. We ended up just having him come out and what would have taken me hours was wrapped up in a fraction of the time with his expertise!

I was having a problem with my faucet in my laundry room.  The cartridge to the hot water valve needed to be replaced.  Auriello came out to quote out the job for me.
The quote was fair and despite some complications, he was able to perform the work within a very short period of time (maybe 15 minutes - if that).
I was very pleased with his professionalism, his attention to detail, and the skill of the repair.  While it might not be the most complicated job, the price was fair and he treated me with the same respect as someone requesting a much more expensive repair.
I will definitely be calling A&B immediately when I have plumbing needs in the future.
