They installed a new toilet and faucet for us, they couldn't find the water shut off valve but worked through the problem and finished the job.

Water Heater needed replacing and out of about 10 different quotes ProMax was the most reasonable with great reviews. They worked with my small window and short notice fitting me in the very next day. Vladimir was very knowledgeable and professional and explained all my questions given Im naive to everything plumbing. He efficiently completed the job in about 2 hrs and there was no hidden or additional costs-I was charged what I was quoted. Chris was awesome! He's very knowledgeable and knows exactly what to do with most all concerns at hand. I called him at last minutes notice due to ARS Rescue Rooter couldn't make the scheduled appt they gave me after waiting all day. Chris arrived even quicker than he indicated, which was an A++ in my books, and he reccomened some other things I should do with my laundry room plumbing and was nice enough to say he'd do the work upon request. I'm very confidant he'd do a great job. He's extremely reasonable in his rates as well.  I will most definantely use him again.

My 40-year-old toilet was becoming wobbly when you sat on it and I was afraid the problem would only worsen with time. I thought I needed a plumber to solve the problem and that it would cost me around $250 to remove and reinstall the toilet.  I contacted Don from J Geyer Plumbing Who just happened to be working on another house across the street from me. He said he would be happy to look at my toilet and give me a free estimate when he was finished on his current job in a couple of hours which would make it around 2:30 PM.  Sure enough right on time he arrived at my door with a smile on his face and a friendly hello. I let him into my bathroom and explained the issues I had with the loose toilet. He explained that he could fix it with some caulking, that it didn't need to be removed.  I realized at that point I could fix it myself and he agreed that it was an easy job I just need to clean it very well and apply the sealant. There was no charge for this advice. The next day I did as he indicated and my toilet is now perfectly solid thanks to Don.  I am so happy to have found a new plumber who is competent and friendly offers free estimates and free good advice.

My downstairs toilet, when not in use, suddenly started overflowing with water that was sudsy,
flooding the bathroom floor and into the hallway.  Since I was washing clothes I turned off the machine and the water line to the toilet and used Yelp to locate Vessel Plumbing/Travis.  Even though this happened on Saturday night, Travis responded promptly to my emergency plumbing issue. He quickly assessed the situation as a clog in the drain leading from the house to the sewer line and then diligently worked to clean the line.  I'm very appreciative for his assistance and professionalism.

Never do business with these guys! They did a project for me before. Later on I found out they charged me 5 times more than other plumbers would charge. I should have reported them to BBB! I share this information here to warn other people so they won't get ripped off by these guys again like me.

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I had a slab leak and called By the Book to get a leak detection done. I made it clear that leak detection was the only service I needed from them that day, as I was going to weigh my options for plumbing. Leon came out and immediately was very condescending right off the bat. I get it, I'm a girl, I look young, but assuming I'm dumb is a bold move. I ask for leak detection, and Leon is already giving me the go around about why he can't do that. He tried telling me I don't have any water damage, even though I felt warm spots underneath our entire kitchen (meaning water was leaking and spreading under the vinyl). If I listened to Leon, we would have severe mold damage under our floors. I also knew there was water flowing in our bathroom and Leon said he didn't hear anything and implied I was just making up the noise. After not doing what I requested and instead doing a walk through of our whole house, Leon said he would be back in 5-10 minutes. He came back a full HOUR later! I had no idea what he was doing as I thought he was maybe preparing his leak detection equipment. Instead, he was ignoring my request and coming up with 10 different plumbing options to repipe the entire house. I was annoyed because all I wanted was a leak detection and Leon was refusing to do that. I quickly told him I wanted him to leave and he got visibly upset and threw a tantrum! I've never seen a professional old man do this. He told me I wasted his time, which I quickly reminded him that I never asked him to sit in his car for an hour. After throwing a fit, Leon finally left and I still had no leak detection done.

I called a different company, Mastercraft, and they came out, detected my leak, and showed me that I had bad water damage under the floors. They were very kind the entire time during the water remediation process and told me how to do everything through my insurance. I then called California Repipe and Plumbing to take a look at the leak and they had a very quick response time. They were extremely patient explaining the entire process to me and gave me very reasonable prices. It was clear they were not trying to take advantage of me and were there solely to help me.

By the Book Plumbing clearly does not train on customer service and they leech off people who are desperate for fixes. Be smart and do NOT hire this company! They will take advantage of you and be condescending the entire time.

David is the plumber of your dreams. Responsive and kind, he won't overcharge you to fix a clogged sink within an hour of your call. The first time I called him, I was happy he could come over the next morning to fix our clogged kitchen sink. While he was here he immediately recognized that our drain and disposal needed to be replaced. But because it would be ok for a while, he kindly wrote an estimate for us without hard selling it. Well, we decided we needed it within a couple of weeks and he again immediately came to do the work. I agree with others that he may be undercharging, but for the average person, he is a godsend.

I had a hot water slab leak at my residence for the 3rd time.  The first one I fixed myself and realized it's best to leave it to the pros.  This is where Rich & Touchdown Plumbing enter the picture.  He correctly repaired the trouble both times by bypassing the defective sections.  Unfortunately, slab leaks continue to happen if the pipes aren't relocated.  His estimates beat most other offers.  His team is very punctual.  He worked all day last Sunday and didn't charge me premium rates.  He does what he says.  If he says he's going to call at 2:30 pm he will call exactly at that time.  He stays up-to-date on the latest plumbing  materials & technology by attending classes & seminars.

I had a few old angle stop valves I needed to replace and Gabe was the first one to reach out. Gabe is awesome! I really appreciated his honesty and how transparent he was throughout the process. Definitely will be using him in the future.

Two days in a row I relied on Yelp and it has not let me down. I called three off my plumbers ( as they are always busy) and of course they were. I called Affordable Drain Service and they said they would have someone over in less then an hour. Holy Cow they were there and done in less than an hour. All or $88. Jeff Feldhaus is the man and I know next time I have a drainage issue I am calling him. Very professional with me and my tenant. Keep in mind I used another big name company in the past and I did not have the same experience. Thanks Jeff

Great communication, arrived within the time appointment time frame, honest and fair pricing.  I had issues with the kitchen facuet not working. They were able to come in and figure out what was wrong within 15 minutes and even made suggestions for any future issues, if any come up.  Highly recommend!

Called Friday to make an appt and they gave me a window of 9am-11am and even sent me an email to confirm.  I waiting until 1122 to give them a call and they told me he would be here at noon.  If I wouldn't of called they wouldn't of called me to tell me what's going on. A few minutes later, they call me to tell me the guy would be here even later.  I cancelled.

Jeff is so easy to work with gets the job done when you need it most.  He saved me (and my neighbors )from non-compliance with the city twice now. Im truly grateful for his quality work and timeliness.  I'm also thankful that I don't need to ever search for a backflow professional ever again. Thank you Jeff!
