Carlson Electric has replaced and added outlets, ceiling fans, and lighting in my house and I recommend them to everyone I know who has electrical work that needs to be done.
They're knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and do the job right the first time.
I had a faulty outlet during the pandemic and they wore masks, left a clean area, and were very quick.

This is a scam, plain and simple.
1) Superficial work to get more money out of you, adding false sense of urgency
2) Will ask for cash
3) Hires day laborers from home depot
4) What even is his name? You'll get conflicting information. Probably none of them are real.
5) Makes excuses for everything
6) Constant mind games

their scheduler, stacie is friendly, professional & super responsive. she got me scheduled for a week out (which is very good compared to the other electrician's i contacted) & also kept me on their stand-by list. even though, i wasn't able to be home for one openings that popped up, the fact that she called me to check showed a lot of initiative.
as for the service technician (crap, i've already forgotten his name!), he had a cancellation the same day as my appt so he called to see if he could come by early (yay!) which really freed up the rest of my day. he came, was extremely polite, very efficient & was willing to answer any questions i had with patience & professionalism.
this whole process was like butter.

I had my whole house rewired by the crew from Cole Electric and am very pleased with the results. They were friendly and clean and got the job done beyond my expectations.

I contacted Justin about installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet to charge my EV. Within about a day I had a response and an estimate. I had gotten eight different estimates, Justin's was the best.
Justin was able to come out within a week to do the install. He arrived on time and was very professional, and also just a nice guy. I had a pretty ideal install situation, but I was still impressed that Justin was able to complete the job in just about an hour. Everything worked perfectly the first time. The outlet install looks great. Everything is lined up nicely with no damage done.
I would highly recommend Alt Electric.

Bought an older home and booked this guy to do some updates on a recommendation from our real estate agent. We thought we were all set for an entire month leading up, and he was supposed to start work the week before we moved in. But then he went AWOL days before starting.
My wife and agent tried multiple times to reach him the days leading up, but to no avail. Our agent ended up having to contact a relative of his to confirm he wouldn't be doing the work.
All this set our move date back 2 months (meaning 2 months of extra rent even though we'd already bought a house). We had to get brand new bids, and now the work won't get done until after we move in.
So annoyed. Super unprofessional. All it would've taken was a simple text from him early on to let us know he didn't want or couldn't do the work.

They did a great job, very prompt, super reasonable prices, and did a good job explaining what they were doing. Will definitely use them again for my next electrical project!

I met the owner and his staff during a recent trip to WAA and he helped my brothers fix an AC problem for a mid-rise building (central) by Dash Point, and worked on another property held by them near Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium / Rustony Area. Highly Recommended

This is my first time to use an electrician. And my experience is horrible. The electrician Brian drove his truck into my bush in my front yard, and left a huge crack on my wall after finishing the job. And after I talking to the owner Steve, he did not admit that it is possible. He said that Brian drove a big truck that running into bush is normal... and he said that there is no possibilities that they will leave a one foot long crack on the wall...
Maybe this company deliver some good services some time. But my experience is horrible. At the end, I called the owner Steve and said that I will just fix the wall and let go of the crack, and I friendly reminded him of Brian driving into my bush in my front yard and MAY leave the crack on the wall. But he did not admit that there is any possibilities that it would happen... he kept focusing on that they had the business for 35 years, and treated customer right.
Well, the bottom line is that even if they fix the problem but they created damages and would not admit. I don't think that's good customer services.

I have learned over the years that electricity was something best left to the experts, Seth was my first call--and my only call. I had planned to get bids from several electricians, but once I talked to Seth at SMC Electric, I stopped searching. Not only was he prompt, honest, and very courteous, he was also extremely professional. Seth was very upfront with project costs and time, and had everything done well ahead of what was promised. Seth even answered all my questions while he was working. It's really rare to find his level of work ethic these days. Thank you for your help Seth from SMC Electric!

Brian was able to fit us in during an unexpected opening in his schedule. He arrived promptly and fixed the problem easily. He is a very nice man, his charges are reasonable, and he knows what he is doing. I am thrilled to have found a great local electrician.

Tried to call this company 3 times. First time someone answered but said nothing. When I called back, a guy answered and I asked if they install ceiling fans. He told me No. I'm offline now. I asked him what that meant (i.e., being offline) and he just hung up on me. Could use a lesson or two on customer service. I wouldn't bother calling unless you want to deal with someone whom I found to be rather cantankerous.

Please be wary of these folks. They have several locations - but all are run by the same man. I had them come out and bid some work and once the bid was accepted I thought we'd be ok. They'd seen what needed to be done and gave us a reasonable bid to do the work. They weren't the cheapest - yet not the most expensive either.
Unfortunately, we were not ok.
1. Replace exhaust fans: They removed the old fans and left them in the attic. They detached the duct work but did not reattach the duct work. When I called them and asked them why - the owner Ray said they didn't do HVAC. Apparently, detaching a duct from a fan is not HVAC but reattaching that same duct is HVAC. He had no explanation as to why his people left the old fans in the attic. I had to remove the fans they installed in order to get the old fans out, and reattach the duct work. He said they don't do HVAC - yet no where on his bid did it state they don't reattach something they detached. Any reasonable person would believe if you are replacing a fan, then whatever you took apart - you'd put back together.
2. Install a can light - they apparently don't know how to properly locate a stud. They cut a hole into the ceiling and hit a stud. Instead of notifying me of the error (unprofessional error but an error nonetheless), they simply screwed the drywall piece back in and installed the can light right next to it. I'm guessing they thought I'd not notice? They also did not put the beauty ring on it or the internal baffle. Maybe I wouldn't notice that either.
3. They left their garbage all over the house. Every place they did any work, they left sheetrock dust, old wires, old gang boxes etc. I had to clean it all up - and almost filled a 13 gallon garbage bag with their waste - NOT including the old exhaust fans.
When I contacted the owner to have them finish their work and discuss the extra hole in my ceiling, he called my husband a liar. He says my husband told him he'd fix all the drywall and not to worry about extra holes. So, he basically says he was given a blank check - sure, I'll fix any hole you punch in my drywall? I don't think so. He stated his company does not patch sheetrock - which it does state that on his bid. However, that does not cover their staff's incompetence in finding a stud. He said yeah, they just hit a stud - but made no attempt to say they'd even fix it. Just because your bid says No allowance included for patching of sheetrock or exterior wall (if required) beyond normal caulking, it doesn't mean if you misjudge and cut a hole in the ceiling - that you are not responsible for repairing it.
Long story short: (yeah - there's more but more of the same) - their customer service equates to: we're right, you're wrong and you're a liar. There has so far been no attempt to remedy the situation or to discount our bill to accommodate for their lack of professionalism (cleaning a job site) and lack of skill (two holes in walls that were unnecessary as well as not completing the exhaust fans/can light). When I called, he immediately became very evasive and defensive. He proceeded to call my husband a liar and told me these were my issues of not understanding what an electrician is to do. Customer service is clearly not in their repertoire.
Be careful when you deal with these folks. You will have little to no recourse, as I feel now, my issue with them will have to be dealt with in the court system. Hopefully you'll have better luck than me!
