I called to hopefully talk to a manager or someone that makes decisions. I was put in charge of a project for a local school and before I could finish my first sentence I was told WE ARE NOT INTERESTED and hung up on! The woman at receptionist was RUDE! If they don't listen to everything how the heck are they going to know what I need or am looking for from their company. Just something to think about. I am sure the people who do the jobs in the field are phenomenal but the reception needs some help and or a crash course in Customer service training!

I had a major problem. I was outputting 23% more water per hour than normal and had a $200 water bill. I had a leak...somewhere. It's just me and I usually have bills under $100. I called a couple of companies, not very customer friendly to say the least then I started look for plumbers by their reviews. Red Brass had a solid 5 star review record so I called. I got in touch with Mitch. He said he could be there by 7 and he was. This leak was not obvious. There was nothing in the house that would indicate there was a leak. He looked absolutely everywhere. Isolated all of the water lines. He is by far the best at what he does. But what I want to highlight here is this. He said to me nobody ever wakes up thinking they want to call a plumber. It's true. Of everything that goes wrong, you think of your pipes last because we all think those are solid and nothing can go wrong there. He is a person, not just a company. He understood my financial situation and his willingness and persistence to go out of his way to find and almost impossible leak amazed me. Not many people would go out of their way to help like he did. Not only would I recommend him and this company, I will be using them for all of my plumbing needs. Indoor and out.

I never write reviews, but with service like this, I had to! After attempting to repair a leak myself, I had to call in the professionals. I call several places and a couple came out to look. Their estimates on the phone were no where near accurate and the price the quoted in person was ridiculous. I was almost ready to give up when I called this team. Not only were they able to get here faster than the others, they stuck to their price. I am definitely going to keep this number and go to them first when I have a problem. Amazing and respectable service.

Shamrock was timely, professional and very qualified. I would highly recommend using them.

excellent work and service, had them install a hood vent for my kitchen, workmanship was excellent.

This company is honest, dependable and reasonable. They have worked at my houses several times. They always show up and get the job done. They were especially great after this last terrible ice storm. I highly recommend them.

Rueben has been my plumber for 16 years. Except for being way too busy during Covid and the big freeze, he is always quick, friendly, knowledgeable and economical. You will not be disappointed.

I contacted George last night, when I discovered that I was going to have to pay a late fee if I stuck with my other BFP tester, and he came right out this morning, in an ice storm. Quick, efficient, and qualified! Thanks, George!

Ok, the leak detection process is either wonderful - find it exactly and right away - or terrible - spend a bunch of money and find nothing. That is how it works, and from these guys, I had both.
To be clear, this review is for American Leak Detection of Austin, San Antonio and Boerne. And they have 3 phone numbers and serve three distinct regions. Its a franchise business. Robert runs this office and he is knowledgeable, fair and reasonable, but extremely busy. They try hard, and, I think, want to do the right thing. There is a lot of stress on both the customer and service side of this transaction.
After spending a bunch of money on plumbers, who could not find the leak or even my main water line, for a 1-2 gal/hr leak, I had someone from ALD come out and spend 3 hours, 3 tanks of gas and say I think it's around here. Nice guy, tried hard, but not good enough for me. The three tanks of gas, which can indicate a big leak, really annoyed me. So I called Robert, and he, kindly and fairly, agreed to send someone else out, at no charge, for a quick visit to at least find the main water line, which is PVC. That was where the original tech thought the water was leaking. Robert said: I don't think we can find that line for you.
He didn't count on his tech, Ryan, or my tenacity. I had already dug two holes, close, using old pics of the line, but no luck, and needed some directional guidance. Ryan, not only confirmed I was very close and which way to dig (and he was right) but he found the copper manifold just outside the house (and under 2 1/2 feet of soil) where the main water enters the home. So if I ever decide to add a cutoff valve, I now know where to dig.
And although American Leak Detection of A/SA/B isn't perfect, I think they have good people, good intent and good technology. And Ryan, in my opinion, is a rock star. Thank you Robert and Ryan.
General advice for anyone trying to get help finding a leak: Before you call, try to figure out the location of every water outlet inside or outside the house, the general location of the main water line (or pool lines) and the leak rate, in gallons per hour.

Beware- $680 for one hour worth of work and a handful of fittings you can buy at any big box store.

funny how the owner says our company at is having a hard time finding accounts when someone complains. you know who I am. this just happened. No one cared until I wrote this public post. this company overcharges and gives excuses on why they do like they are the only ones dealing with high gas prices.
why does it take a bad review to get a response? this just happened so I'm sure you can recall unless...... oh this happens so often maybe you get everyone mixed up....

Follow up to my previous review. Gibson contacted me after writing my first review. They offered me 1/2 of the bill I paid for a competent contractor to come out and fix their faulty installation! I guess, in their minds, I'm 1/2 responsible for their crews crappy service install. I am writing to let y'all know whenever dealing with this contract, get names, dates, times and record your conversation with them.

Plumbers were efficient, thoroughly explained processes, wore masks. Had challenges with the office in scheduling services, but am pleased with the overall service provided. Will continue to use them.

Had a stopped up toilet. I removed to see if I could fix. I augured , got running again. Put toilet back on to use. Backed up again so I removed toilet and snaked it again but when running hose water it would back up so left toilet off and called my home warranty company. They had 3 plumbers in the area. First never called me back. Ten days later I get John. He shows up in a personal truck, red f150, with no decals, no indication he is even a plumber. And no tools or equipment I could see. He ran water down toilet then tried up selling me on what he thought he could do to fix the problem. I know a crook when I see one and talk to one. I really feel sorry for ladies with no knowledge about construction, systems, or maintenance. This guy probably takes advantage of every situation he can. As you can imagine, I asked him to leave. Good luck! The rest of their techs may be ok, but if John is yours, may the force be with you.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Some female said they'd be able to service our home the next day... the next day comes & she says they'd have to reschedule for the next day.... well that day comes & this dumb braud has the nerve to say they don't service our area (5 miles away).... my 3 kids went w/out water way longer than need be thanks to this company who asked for our address the day we set the apt up & never said they didn't service our area but proceeded to make an apt
