Best Plumbing Services in Boston, MA

Short version: Nick and his crew are the best. I wish we could give Plumr 6 stars.

Last October, Nick helped us replace our water heater in our old Victorian and we were very pleased with his knowledge and his service. We knew we'd found our goto plumber. Then winter happened, with that prolonged cold snap, and we found ourselves with a burst water pipe. We called Nick and he came right away. After making sure that we would be ok with his capping the pipe (we were; it was a secondary water line), we made plans with Nick to complete the pipe repair/replacement when the warm weather returned. There was talk of possibly needing to rip out our garage ceiling (!), but Nick assured us that they would not do anything they didn't have to. He'd know more when he took a closer look.

Flash forward to today, when Nick and his crew came back and found that the damage wasn't nearly as bad as expected. They fixed everything for maybe 1/10th the cost of what we'd discussed. They could have told us we needed more expensive repairs, but instead kept their word and did an honest and excellent job. Besides this, over three separate occasions Nick and his crew have consistently performed exactly the work they've promised. They've also arrived on time, have always been accessible when we've called and have been friendly, polite and very easy to work with.

We'll never call another plumber if Nick and his crew are available.

Had no heat in one of 3 zone valves.  Derek came and displayed great knowledge of his trade.  Took care of the issue.  I definitely will be calling them again when the need arises.   Quick response was most impressive especially when others I called said they couldn't get to me in over 2 weeks.   Plumbers are so busy.

He was willing to come out to my house the day after a snowstorm and replaced my broken hot water heater the very same day.  I don't have much more experience than that, but from that one job, I would say he was reliable, professional, and fair.  I couldn't have asked for more.

Great to deal with.  Competent. Efficient.  Reasonable pricing.  Gets the job done.  Installed an indirect domestic hot water system that works perfectly.

The circulator pump in our 10 year old condensing hot water boiler went bad.   Ken called back ASAP, next day we had a visit from the team and the hot water was back in service.    Excellent, service, trust-worthy company.

Golden Plumbing responded to our request with urgency.  Jay was professional and honest.  

I will gladly call Golden Plumbing for all of our plumbing jobs moving forward.

I've used Barry Plumbing for years and never had a problem until this year during co-vid. Just prior to quarantine they came out 3 times to get our hot water working. The hot water on my third floor was not fixed and I told him that i'd take care of the bill when the job was complete. I told him that as soon as I felt comfortable having people in my home I would call. Mr. Barry started sending emails, texts and even came to my house unannounced pounding on the door. I paid the bill because he was becoming aggressive, calling, emailing and texting.  This summer with numbers down in MA I asked him to come finish the job. He asked me if I was kidding and when I told him I'd write an honest review he said he'd see me in court! He is charming and professional till he's not.

The best plumber I know!I grew up with the family and you can't find better people.This company is know to be professional,courteous and master plumbers.

Everything you've read in the other reviews is 100% true. Tom is prompt, professional, courteous, reasonable, reliable and knowledgable. I can't believe how lucky were are to have found him. :-)

I've had Dan come to the house to fix things several times over the past few years. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He's also friendly and easy to talk to. I've always been happy with the results.

Over the phone it was explained to me by Kath that unless I needed parts during my routine preventative maintenance of my boiler, I could expect my service to cost no more than $325 - $350.  The service tech was great, friendly and cleaned up after themselves.  I realized after she left that the neutralization media tube was never changed out.  Soon after I received an invoice for $375, even no additional parts were needed.  

I called Kath about both of these issues.  First she made me send in pictures of the still-dirty neutralization tube and later did set up a time for it to be replaced. She unfortunately was a lot less friendly during this phone call than the call I had with her set up service a month prior.  She also had no recollection of our discussion on price. I guess it slipped her mind. She explained they bill by the hour.  Now I know, don't chit chat with the service tech.  We must have chatted for at least 30 minutes of the visit.  Pretty pricey conversation if you ask me!

There was a whole lot written on the work ticket, a lot of observing and checking and vacuuming around things, no real service done.  

I have no complaints about the technician that came out, but Kath could be a whole lot friendlier and stand by her word, even verbally over the phone.  Customers remember this type of treatment when they need another service next year, and the year after and the year after...

They have been around for awhile and probably have plenty of customers, so I guess they are not in the business of keeping any new ones.  The search for a good plumber continues...

I needed a toilet installed; Mike installed the toilet. Easy review! No problems;  tidy job. He kept me in the loop about the fussy details (it's an old bathroom) and was still in and out in an hour.

Not accepting new customers, don't bother.

I don't usually write reviews but I felt I needed too this time. I have never had an experience with a sales associate like I did with Emily. She was the most fun,informative, honest sales person I have come across. We were in the market to replace 2 toilets. One of ours had a 14 inch rough in. This left us without many choices anywhere we went. She was patient and kind and guided us through this process and explained about these particular toilets. Now its hard to make toilet shopping fun but she succeeded. We will be back for sure to buy our vanity and faucet. I highly suggest you go there and ask for Emily.

i called Jamaica Plumbing because I wanted to give the business to a local person. I needed to have 2 faucets and a garbage disposal replaced.  I waited for 2 weeks for a call back, didn't get one, called again left a message saying I had a few repairs that needed to be done and would they please return my call and tell me if they were willing to take on the job. It's been another 2 weeks and they haven't given me the courtesy of a return phone call. It appears that unless the job invloves big bucks don't bother calling. I would be a much happier camper if they returned one of my calls even if to say sorry, we don't take on these jobs.

Three cheers for Nick and Bottazi-DePasquale Plumbing! We had a plumbing emergency--leak that was already affecting the floor beneath. Nick was here in 30 minutes and fixed the situation quickly and reasonably, even for an emergency visit. We have been using Bottazi for years and it is nice to see that the service is as good as ever with Nick in charge.

I called for HVAC repair at the start of the cold weather and they said someone would be out later that day -- even giving me a time window in which to expect them. They then canceled last-minute during that window, leaving me without heat after I had already turned down other companies due to my exising appointment with them. The best they would offer as a rescheduled appointment was not for another month.

I took a chance on a company without any reviews and this is the result. Call them at your own risk.
