Best Plumbing Services in Boston, MA
I have a steam heat system that was giving me grief. Chased another dude I found on CL for about a week. Finally called these guys.
They were SUPER quick in response time (literally like 2 hours). Once they arrived they were professional and efficient in their service.
The final price was equitable for the service provided.
I'd definitely call them again.

I live in a apartment building and had back-flow from the kitchen drain into the sink (and my neighbors had back-flow into kitchen sink and laundry). My regular plumber recommended this company and I HAD to make an emergency call on a Sunday afternoon!
They were very responsive and although my request got routed to three different on call plumbers, one finally showed up a couple of hours later.
The guy cleared out the block in the main drain and rates were average / reasonable- $250 ish.
The only issue was - when draining the back-flow water, the equipment used was makeshift (home depot bucket and some kind of wet vac lid), which sprayed sewage all over my kitchen counters.
While the main work was done well, we had to spend hours sanitizing and mopping up the mess.

Got back from vacation to a stopped and hissing toilet. A complete mystery to me. JE Murphy Plumbing showed up next day, as requested, and fixes it with no fuss and no mess. A reliable, responsible plumber who gets the job done.

Efficient, reasonably priced, friendly.
Got a quote late Wednesday, via Yelp, for a hot water tank and installation. Scheduled an appointment for the next day. They showed up on time and finished in less than 2 hours.

OVERALL GREAT SERVICE!! My family Couldn't be any happier with this companies service! Owner Steve, was honest, knowledgeable and incredibly kind! He made me feel comfortable and at ease during a scary situation last winter. Unfortunately, our water heater died while my husband was away for work. I was extremely nervous and scared because... I was alone with my baby and...I did not know what to do in this situation. My friend recommened Champ Plumbing, so I called Champ letting them know my situation. The owner than rushed over to our house even though he was extremely busy that day. Not only did he come right over, he also went to the store and bought us a new waterheater with his own funds, AND installed it that night! Now a days, you do not see customer service like I recieved from Champ Plumbing. My whole family has since been using Champs for all our plumbing and heating services. We recommand them to everyone we know. If you are looking for a dependable, trustworthy, reasonably priced and honest plumbing company call Steve at CHAMP PLUMBING!

Very satisfied with Z Plumberz. They are professional, response quickly (plumbers show up within hours), and communicate effectively. Everyone I have spoken to (the sales coordinator, the manager, and the plumbers) are all very thorough with the process. The rate is also pretty standard by Boston standard. I would highly recommend this company.

I have never in my life met a team so passionate at their job. We needed a water heater replaced in our house as well as some other areas issues looked at/fixed. Once we called Landmark we were completely taken care of. We were met at the house and provided options that ranged in prices (with no upset pressure), they educated us on current requirements for venting (3 duct to a now required 4 duct), as well as provided us some good insights into how the water system works in general. Clearly knowledgeable. The quote they provided was never exceeded and we were provided options when looking at water heaters. We chose the one we wanted and before you knew it the team was at the house, early on a beautiful Saturday morning ready and eager to get to work. The work was done beautifully. Not only did we have a new water heater installed (which looks darn good I must say), they installed the new venting ducts as well as shored up ALL the pipes in the basement (something they certainly did not need to do): insulated this one, clamped down that one, checked the water pressure here and removed excess pipes there. A dream team.
Quoting and invoicing is done through FreshBooks which makes the entire transaction paperless and easy. Pricing was unbelievably fair for the work done.
These guys have not only earned our trust, but have earned lifelong customers as well as references.

Professional, efficient HVAC service. Our AC wasn't working, and they were super accomodating, gave helpful advice, and are very much customer-focused.

Great service, great response but super expensive. $300 for about 20 minutes of work to clear a drain.

Budget it Drains tried to charge $375 to clear a clog 3ft from my toilet. I called 3 diffrent plumbers for quotes before Budget it Drains came by and all of them said $250 to $300. When I said the price is too high he tried to charge me $150 for coming to the house. Just called another company already enroute after quoting me at $300.

Our hot water heater decided to die, I saw good reviews here on Yelp so I reached out to Clark Plumbing. Bill got back to me right away, provided a reasonable quote, and set up an appointment for the next day.
Scott and Bill showed up on time and completed the work quickly and exactly as quoted. Highly recommend.

Very professional in setting up a last minute appointment and the visit was painless. He knew exactly what he needed to do and needed little guidance from me (I was on calls and couldn't help much). Installed a new kitchen faucet and replaced a couple faulty shutoff valves and even worked with my management company to get access to the shutoff valves for the building. I've found my go-to plumber.

I got to thinking about things that ought to be reviewed on yelp more often than the local cupcake shop (we all know they're both delicious and overpriced, okay), and I thought about how awful plumbing problems can be, especially if the experts continue to botch the job. And then I thought of Joe Mirabella, who had serviced my old apartment three years ago.
And I thought to myself, That guy was AWESOME! He is friendly, funny, and, moreover, competent and hardworking enough that I remember him three years after the last time I saw him. Not only did he always do what he came to do efficiently, he would explain all of the issues to us. He was happy to look at other small things, without fanfare, for which I'm ultra-grateful, because what I thought was abysmal water pressure in the master shower... was cardboard that had lodged in the showerhead. (he didn't even tease me for not thinking to look)
So, considering the nature of plumbing and heating emergencies and that they often require you to let a stranger into the most private areas of your home, I think that knowing Joe is good, trustworthy, and totally not awkward about it is vital. If I were still in Cambridge-Somerville, I wouldn't call anyone else.

I just used Chase Plumbing today for the first time and I am very happy with the service and price. Chris was here on time and he was neat/clean, worked quickly, and was informative about my systems and what I needed. He fixed two toilets and snaked the tub drain. I have had issues with other plumbing companies that tried to charge me too much or upsell things I didn't need. That was not the case here. I feel like they are honest and trustworthy. I will definitely use them again.

We had McNiff over to replace the water faucet in the bathroom this week - the cold knob sheered off and was out of commission. Who wants to brush their teeth in scalding hot water? Not me!
James (Jim) is very thorough (methinks a perfectionist), is careful not to wreck your stuff in the area he is working, and actually *cleans* up before he invoices you. Short of flying my dad out from the other side of the country I can't ask for more in a service professional.

I called them on a Friday because my water heater started leaking and was flooding the basement. Steve came within a couple of hours, and immediately rearranged everybody's schedule so he could send one person the same day and make sure we had hot water in the weekend. Drew came only a few hours after my first call and installed the new heater with competence. No extra charge for the emergency. I was really impressed... and thankful!

They charge hourly rate but charge work hours NOT honestly. They even charge half hour from their office Newton to LaGrange at Newton for this job. The plumber came late and went out so many times to bring his stuff and take long time to come back.

McCarriston Plumbing & Heating came highly recommended to us from neighbors and friends. Unfortunately, they did not live up to their reputation. They were supposed to install a shower handle for us. I took the day off of work in order to be available to the company at a time that worked for them. When the plumber arrived, he said there was not time to do the work and promised someone from the office would call to reschedule the appointment. No one ever called. He and I discussed him potentially coming on a date later that week. I called the company on that day to confirm that indeed, they were not coming (as I'd not heard from them). I was told they were coming. I reminded them that no one had informed me of the appointment time or date. When the confirmed and rescheduled date and time arrived, I took another day off of work to be available and let them into my home. McCarriston did not arrive. I called them only to be told they had called me three times (though no missed calls appeared on my phone) and that they would have to reschedule.
McCarriston Plumbing has now cost me two days of work and I still have a faulty shower head.

Sept 2016 - Having noticed Bolivar's trucks in the area over the years, when our water heater finally needed replacing, we learned our Plumber had retired. We contacted a few local businesses, including Bolivar Plumbing. Ron returned the call within minutes, provided a rough estimate via phone (after reviewing a texted picture of the old water heater) and sent his team out to do the work later that same day. Not the least expensive although will definitely recommend to others, and will use Bolivar Plumbing again.
