Best Plumbing Services in Maryland
.Dave is very nice and a man of his word - The price he quoted us for a gas line install back in October was still good in February when we were finally ready to do the work. Even with some complications with the job Dave and his crew did everything they could with a smile and on time as promised. We had to do some extra things which were out of the scope of DJ&E's responsibility and they helped us find good people to help AND helped those people to get he job done - James, Dave's employee, spent several extra hours making sure things got done correctly and that we were happy - all at no extra charge. I would recommend Dave, James and their referral contractors to anyone needing work done.

They responded very quickly to my quote request with an honest and reasonable quote. They came out quickly and installed a new hose bib. We would use them again for future projects.

If you are looking for someone doing honest quality work....choose Mike. I first needed a water heater replaced. He did this superbly. It was finished on time, in budget. Then a leak sprung from another area of the house. On a Sunday, he came right out found the issue and fixed it. He gave me many texts, options, and updates along the way. I have work with many different plumbers over the years and always felt I was being taken advantage of. Not with Mike. He is very transparent. Since then he's answered many questions. He is someone you can trust to take care of the job even when you are not looking. Now, he is my first call every time.

I contacted them for an estimate for what appears to be a wax ring leak from my toilet upstairs. The estimate came back at $250 to $350. If you have a basic understanding of plumbing that is ridiculous.

I had some major problems in my upstairs bathroom that Steve came in and diagnosed right away, and he was great from start to finish. Pricing was reasonable and I haven't had any problems since. Thanks Steve!

Being new to the neighborhood and first time home owners can be very overwhelming. However, when we had work done in our home by Arthur, we knew we had found our plumber. My husband and I felt very confident in his work and the advice he gave us. We had a propane line installed for our kitchen stove and in the process of the installation- he had found a leak, which he repaired for us. Along the way he gave us some helpful homeowner tips. In regards to the propane line installation, he was incredibly helpful and willing to talk with others that were a part of the project on the phone. He coordinated schedules with us in an efficient and timely manner. We will definitely use him in the future! Thanks Arthur!

I had a leak under my kitchen sink and contacted Wallace plumbing. Derrick responded very quickly and scheduled a time to visit. He diagnosed the issue and fixed the leak. He also installed a new garbage disposal. His rates were very fair, he was professional, and communicated well throughout the entire process. I recommend Wallace plumbing and Derrick and will use them for my future home needs!

Needed a fully system replacement. Hughes came out, took measurements, gave me my best option and put me on the schedule right away. There were courteous and professional throughout the process. The installers even went as far as installing the sytem in a way that it would not block or hinder eventually replacement of hot water heater. This is something that I didnt even mention to them ahead of time. Price was on par with competitors and the brand that was installed was Rheem. Thanks for the rapid installation.

Scardinia is the contractor for Lowes water heater installations. Despite promising that the unit would be replaced later in the day the morning that I called- it was not. When they showed up the next day, I was told I needed to pay an additional $300 to remove a couple of 2x4's and a sheet of lattice enclosing the unit. A 10 minute job. This is simply predatory. They know that you are desperate (after already being a day late) and they extort you for more money. Shame on Scardinia and shame on Lowes for their duplicity in this sort of consumer predation. I ended up spending $1000 for an install (plus the cost of the WH) that took less than two hours. Beware!!!!!

This is the second time this company has been in my home. Both times an older gentlemen has shown up trying to rush in and rush right out. He does not listen to us. And he does not communicate well, as he just grumbles rather quickly. He was here most recently for a garbage disposal issue and two small leaks. He tried to leave without addressing the leaks saying he didn't see any leaks. I literally had to point out the active leak to him. He quickly replied that it was a crack in garbage disposal resulting from the jam we had. I told him the leak was preexisting but he filed his report with our home warranty company saying that our jam was the issue so now they won't cover the disposal. I called the office and was informed that he cannot take our word that the leak predated the jam. I get it. But if you can't prove it one way you shouldn't just chalk it up to another. With the amount of buildup around the crack, it's obvious that the leak predated the two day Jam we had that locked up our disposal. I will not use this company again. It's obvious that they are not sending their best but instead are sending their part time retirees to collect the home warranty check.

I called MelRoy to do 2 jobs at my house. The first, replacing a laundry tub, went well, the second was a little trickier. I had a leaking tub diverted that needed replacement. This job required a little more thought and innovation due to tight space where the pipes were located. After finishing the laundry tub installation, the plunber said he did not have enough time to tackle the diverted replacement (I had already bought the replacement diverted part). Before leaving the plumber told me the office would call and reschedule. I immediately thought he did not want to take on this job due to the effort required and sure enough, a week later, no one from MelRoy call me back. Very frustrating, since they basically cherry picked the easier Job. At that point I looked into fixing the leak and found that by replacing a couple of O-rings, with out replacing the entire inverter fixed the leak. Too bad the plumber from MelRoy could not figure that out.
I called Melroy because they are a Catonsville business. In the future I will call others because I know now, there are better choices.

With great regret I'm submitting this failing review of a local small business that should be avoided. They may be good a basic equipment servicing, which may included cleaning coils and charging freon, but should be avoided for duct and equipment installation. Buy at your own peril.
I like to use referrals and this company was referred to me by a mutually known person. The owner is a likable guy until differences arise. I bought 5 new systems from this contractor in the span of a few months for properties that I renovated. I had planned to use him for the next 8 to 12 systems I need installed for upcoming renovation projects. However, of the 5 systems, I have had serious problems with three of them and constant dripping from a four system. In consideration of the many problems, I'm having all of the systems re-evaluated to get a better understanding of the extent of the problems. So far these are the problems encountered:
1. Contractor fell through my ceiling and didn't want to pay for repair
2. Gaping duct connections that blow conditioned air into unconditioned space as if a vent was installed in the attic.
3. Roughed-in return ducts after house was finished with drywall, trim and paint.
4. Left pile of hazardous debris in rooms on recently finished hardwood floors
5. Cut supply vent holes in newly finished wood floors and didn't want to repair.
6. Installed refrigeration lines and didn't seal the holes cut to the outside and left other misplaced holes un-repaired.
7. Didn't use UV rated wiring outside to units
8. Used drywall screws and wrong hangers to attached line-set to exterior of house.
9. Used outdated power disconnect on outside units
10. Set Coils or bricks and plywood to level on the outside of house
11. Incorrectly installed condensation pan and pump.
12. 3 of the systems don't work in less than 12 months after installation.
This contractor recommended systems that were vastly over-sized for the initial two new installations. After all the reading on the internet about installing the right size equipment it all makes good sense, which this contractor doesn't follow. There is so much air being forced through the ducts that it whistles when the systems on. It heats up then it shuts off in minutes, but doesn't evenly heat up so it cycles back on quickly. The manufacturer stated equipment cycles on and off too frequently when over-sized and not properly installed. I could go on further, but there is so much more to complain about, but what I highlighted should be sufficient. I have pictures and video too support my claims too. Sadly, I think I will take this contractor to Court for the many damages I have suffered.

Raymond Travers (All Above Plumbing) was hired to clear a main. The only good thing I can say about the experience was that he was quick to answer the initial call. He came to the house and tried to snake the drain - twice. He claimed that he went in 50 feet which would take it out to the county main and manhole. Then he showed me the county tap in the yard and said there was standing water in the pipe so the plug must be on the county's side of the line out to the sewer main (I didn't see the water). He said he would call the county and request a flushing.
Also at this time, he called the warranty company and said they would only reimburse $200 and I needed to pay the service charge ($45) and the remainder ($389). I wrote two checks to him personally.
He told me he would send paperwork via email (I asked for it at time of service) and left saying he would coordinate with the county and be there when they came to sort out the issue. I never received any paperwork.
The next day, I called him and he said he hadn't heard back from the county yet (meanwhile, I have an inch of sewer water in my basement). So I called the county and they said he never contacted them and I should have called them immediately and that the plumber should have know that. They sent out an emergency crew who flushed the line from the outside tap (which was empty of any standing water) to the manhole (which also was empty). I saw the hose they slid through - absolutely no blockage on the county side.
The plumber never cleared the main line, claimed it was a county issue, took payment for incomplete work, and lied about calling the county. When I confronted him with this after the county left, he said he completed the job and hung up. Yet I still have sewage water not going down the drain.
If I could give him ZERO stars, that would be my rating. Seek plumbing services elsewhere.

This company ignores calls, doesn't call back and more importantly DOESN'T SHOW UP. Don't waste your precious time rearranging your schedule to accommodate them.
