Best Plumbing Services in Baltimore, MD
We had a hot water heater leak. I had called three other plumbers before trying Your 1 Plumber. The first one I called only works Monday - Friday. The next did not have a technician available until the next day even though they promise same day service and when I called the third company, The phone was answered automatically by a recording asking me to hold. I hung up after 5 minutes of being on hold listening to a recording of the great customer service they provide!
I found Your 1 Plumber online and it only had one review. But it was a positive review and I was desperate, so I called. The phone was answered by a human. Wilmer arrived to our door 20 minutes later. This was on a Saturday late afternoon. He was polite and professional. He explained what we needed and gave us options. He cleaned up the work area after he finished. We will call this company again.

Tim provided quick same-day service on a Sunday! His price was competitive and fair. He showed up early, was professional and down-to-earth. I had twin bathroom sinks that were not draining. He snaked down to the main and replaced the p-track and another pipe. He takes Venmo and check (and credit card with a fee). If you want to see more reviews he is highly rated on Thumbtack. I would highly recommend Tim!

Josh came out to our house, after out basement was flooded with a burst pipe. He quickly identified the area where the pipe burst and affected a timely and effecient repair. We had the water back on quickly and his work was excellent. He also cleaned up after he was done and did a really fine job. We will use his services again. It was a really good experience during a very trying time.

My kitchen pipes were unfortunate victims of the recent polar vortex, and decided at an inopportune moment to burst, sending water through to my basement floor. (Not that any moment is opportune, but you know.) I called a family member in desperation, sobbing out my heartbreak, when she recommended that I call Bay Plumbing and Heating - she's used them for a number of years and has always spoken highly of them. I was willing to try anything at this point, since I couldn't take a shower or wash dishes or flush my toilet, etc.
You get the idea.
So I contacted Bay Plumbing and, to my delight, a pleasant gentleman named Bob returned my call within the hour. After describing the problem to him, he agreed to come over and have a look. Not even an hour later, he was actually here with his electrician partner, checking out the basement and the kitchen for the source of the leak. Turned out that it was caused by a non-used icemaker outlet where a pipe was installed - the below zero temperatures had frozen the pipe completely, and when it began to warm up, the pipe expanded and burst. Bob was very quick to disconnect the pipe and cleared up the mess in almost no time at all.
Total charge was 95 dollars - very fair, considering the amount of work that he did (busting sheetrock and all).
I was very pleased with the service I received from Bay Plumbing and Heating, even MORE impressed with their response time, and would highly recommend them. Now I know why my family member has kept them such a closely guarded secret!
An extremely happy (and clean!) customer.

So the hot water stopped being hot on Monday night. Hubby swears he can fix it as it's probably just the sensor. So we order and wait for the arrival of FedEx. Meanwhile two days of showing at my parents. FedEx truck arrives today with the part and (shocker) it does not fix the problem. The problem being a 10 yr old hot water heater that had just given up the ghost. So I google and come up with the first name and it's these guys. I send up a prayer and call at 3:30. Time is now 6:15 and we have a new hot water heater and hot water. #miracleshappen It might have helped that the owner lives around the corner but talk about prompt! Great service. They wore masks and worked quick. They treated us well and were open and straightforward with us. I guess we have official plumbers now.

I live in a row home in Baltimore City. My AC condenser is on the roof and was looking in poor shape. The base it was on was falling apart, made out of wood, and needed to be reset. The tech, Steve, who was there to service my furnace, gave me a great price to fix it which included disconnecting it, cleaning the roof, making sure there were not any penetrations and re-mounting it on a new base. A week later the installers came and did an awesome job. Kuddos Level!

The Ken Griffin Plumbing everybody has loved for years is no more. Last year Ken sold the company to HomeServe, a corporate giant now owned by Brookfield Asset Management, a private equity investor. (So no longer family owned, as Angi still says. Link below.)
Yesterday a Griffin plumber came to do a routine kitchen faucet replacement. (I already had the faucet.) He was very uncomfortable quoting the price set by his new bosses: $800! (This included replacing two valves he said were faulty.) I paid the $135 callout fee, sent him on his way and will never use them again.
Perhaps you should discount all the Ken Griffin reviews left before mid-2022. It's a very different company now.

We had a Sunday morning water heater leak and called several companies with few return calls. Apple called within minutes, and a technician came about an hour later. After diagnosing the problem, he immediately went to the shop for the part and came right back to install it. The price for the entire ordeal was less than BGE Home's quote just to come to the house! Ray was prompt, polite, efficient, and skilled. We asked for several cards so we could share with friends. We will definitely call Apple the next time we have a plumbing need!

I had an excellent experience. Jay Athas came to service our home on behalf of Carroll County Bureau of Utilities. Jay was very prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, conscientious and kept a very clean job site. I would recommend First Class Mechanical and would request Jay!!!

Have used several times. Every time they've come out same day within a few hours always arriving within the window stated.
Every problem i've had was clearly explained with cost break down very clear. Cost has always matched the estimate explained beforehand. Never had any issues with any of the worked performed.
Highly recommend and will be using this plummer in the future myself.

Wow! So impressed with Saffer. These guys are true pros and will be using them from here on out. I was blown away by the service from first making the appointment to the invoice process. This is truly a 1st class company. I had a blockage in my main line and they were able to fix it after meticulous and careful work. The place was spic and span after the job as well.

Had a clog in our shower on first floor. Worker came examined pipes and cleared clog. Mentioned the pipes in kitchen were slightly pitched and redoing is something we might want to consider. He didn't think that was the cause but said it's possible. Gave us quote and after speaking to him I felt confident it wasn't necessary and causing the issue. He was very knowledgable and patient explaining everything and gave some tips. Overall I was very impressed. He even cleaned the shower after!
About 3 months later, we had food coming up the shower. Found it odd since we decided to not use the disposable up until that point. We were cautious about putting food down that is only recommended, doing so very slowly, and ran water 2 minutes after to keep it flushing down. Figured it was a fluke incident. This kept happening here and there. We decided to stop using the disposal since it must be causing a problem. Now the shower is backed up again out of no where.
So I decided to give them a call and hope they stand behind their work. It seemed apparent the initially clog might have not been 100% cleared. It just seemed to back up so soon after. I talked to Mike and he informed me they only have a 30 day guarantee. He said they can't control what goes down there after that point which it understandable. I tried my best to explain the issue which is what you have read up to this point. He denied that the clog had not been properly cleared because they ran water. Yes, water will successfully go down a drain if partially cleared. If it was, there wouldn't be things coming up so soon. He said in his notes it was recommended to redo the pipes and we denied so it's not his problem. I told him what the tech said and if it was really the issue we would have had it done. The goal was to completely address the problem and fix it once and for all. I trust what the tech explained to me and I believe we made a well informed decision- to this day. He was excellent. I suppose Mike didn't want to be accountable for the possibility the snaking didn't completely get the clog. Mistakes happen. All he was willing to do was a snaking for $150, no warranty. We declined after I spoke to my husband and I told him how the conversation went. He was border line rude and condescending at times. Once I misspoke and said, It started clogging again 30 days after instead of 3 months later. He said, Ohhh!! So now it's 30 days huh? Make up your mind. First it's 3 months and now it's 30!!. I told him I misspoke and there was no need to be rude. It was very upsetting to be accused of being dishonest for misspeaking. I wrapped up the conversation since I was getting beyond frustrated and being rude back. We just wanted this issue properly addressed and fixed the first time around. So maybe there was a mistake made on their behalf. I don't understand why Mike couldn't own up to this possibility. So in the end, I wouldn't recommend. If the service works out, you'll be fine. If not, you might be in a similar situation. We had another company come out and the clog is cleared. He confirmed that the kitchen pipes were not causing the problem. He solved the cause immediately. The pricing was much better. If I went with this company the first time, I could have saved so much. He also figured out why the kitchen sink was leaking. All's well that ends well. I at least owe a thanks for Mike for speaking quite a while to me. Hopefully this review will help potential clients receive better service in the future. Maybe this company can learn that mistakes can happen and give clients the benefit of the doubt. We unfortunately were not so lucky.

I called for emergency to have work done and I found this small for people company in Hamden that did extraordinary work in my basement I called them on a Sunday eight at night he was at my house seven in the morning Monday morning Covid protected more professional than I first thought I would recommend anyone with any plumbing problems within a 40 mile area of Hamden these guys and lady are good and they also do other than plumbing they do home-improvement. And they're very good, also they work with you anybody has any problems don't be afraid to give them a chance it's a big company start out first small then big but I think these guys are going to stay small because they all know what they're doing and they all are licensed

Hopefully My Plumber will get the point when they continue to get terrible reviews. Needed kitchen sink drained/snaked. $500 estimate. Get out-that's a stupid price ( I said in my head).....but out loud....yeah NO. Called another company for LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE. Racket. Paid $79 for them coming out for estimate. I think techs are just running around doing estimates for $79 which they keep collecting....and don't plan on doing the work. Racket. Reporting them to BBB. There are great hard working plumbers that should not have this company out representing them.

Go where the contractors go, and save a bundle, on all of your plumbing needs. Also, if you happen to need obscurely sized radiator valves or other strange plumbing contraptions, Northeastern Supply will likely be the only store in Baltimore with the goods.

Unfortunately, our experience with WA Gambrill has been nothing but negative. They replaced the water supply (not the larger waste line) to the house. The area they excavated was roughly 4 x 4. It is customary once the work is done to leave the earth mounded to account for any settle. Unfortunately, they left a 6 x 5 pile of large rocks and rubble 18 inches high. Sorting through it and disposing of the large rocks has been tedious and time consuming. So far there are 3 each 5 gallon buckets and several boxes of rocks ranging in size from 6 to 10 inches across. Of course, they had to be hauled to the dump as the trash collectors do not take this sort of waste. This represents two hours of work plus time to get it to the dump AND the pile still needs about 3 hours of work and then time to the dump. This has to be done to even get to a place where the ground can be readied for seed. While it is reasonable for a homeowner to have to do remedial work, what they left was simply not right. Attempts to get them to do what was right were met with arrogance from all levels of the company. It was a disappointment to say the least. If you are considering them for this sort of work, please see some of the pictures and know you might very well have to deal with something like this yourself. Knowing this beforehand should be factored in to any decision you make and the price you are willing to pay. The picture of the mound is what still needs to be done and as you can see the rocks that have been uncovered are not the pebbles Gambrill would like folks to believe they are. There is nothing quite like paying someone for work and then having to do some of it for them!

*****Update***** very late to posting this but someone ended up installing the toilet for $120. Just goes to show that the technician was taking advantage of the customer. Look elsewhere first before throwing your money down the drain!

T. Mayes plumbing was referred to us by AHS. My experience with them is not a happy one. They would schedule you for a day one week in advance and can't give you a specific time to come. A 6 hour window is good for people who stays at home doing nothing but wait on a plumber. We are working class citizens and our time is precious. When we file for a leave at work to accommodate you and then you have to reschedule because you run out of an elbow pipe to replace the leaking pipe, you wanted us to be available again for the next week for the same 6 hour window waiting for you? I even called on the day itself as to what time they will be coming so I can do some errands in between, they told me it is at the end of the day to which I clarified as 4pm and the lady said yes. When the plumber came at 2:30 I was still out because I was expecting him to come around 4 pm, then they are asking me to pay the missed appointment fee of 60 dollars in order for them to continue replacing the leaking elbow pipe which they came to do in the first place. Up to now, a month and a half later that elbow has not been replaced.
