Best Plumbing Services in Baltimore, MD
We recently bought a new home and our home inspector said our system was in good order, but aging. Since we weren't sure what aging meant in relation to longevity and we were not sure if the previous tenants kept up with seasonal inspections or routine repair, we started looking for an HVAC specialist to take a look at our systems and put the home inspectors report in perspective.
I called Spann Mechanical and Michael Spann, Jr came out within the week. He was right on time and got right to work checking everything out. Since he knew I was a new homeowner as well, he took his time to explain what he was looking at and for, while also answering all my questions. I feel that he was up front and honest about the condition of our systems and did not try to oversell the equipment.
I would use him again and found Spann Mechanical to be professional and knowledgeable.

Jeff came out real quickly to look at our situation. We wanted a monster AC window unit replaced. He was able to change it quickly and at a very reasonable price. And he took away the old unit.

Honest ABE Plumbing is my new favorite plumber! We needed to replace a water heater, converting it from electric to gas in order to be able to recover hot water quicker. We are on a well, which posed another issue all in it self. Abe Lazar was incredibly patient, giving me my options, explaining GPM recoveries, gave me upfront information on tankless systems, helped me look into a power anode rode....His patience was so much appreciated and his knowledge he shared extremely helpful. He priced our work out for a price that fit our budget and got us the heater we needed. We will use Honest ABE Plumbing again. Fantastic company who hears your needs and makes sure you get what you need in the end.

Prompt response. Very happy with service. They also have military discount for active/veteran service members!

We had called to a number of different plumbers because of a simple backed up toilet (we have all been there when the toilet won't flush and a plunger won't work). A number of the plumbers wanted to charge a diagnostic fee and then add it to the work being done. Action did not-- in fact, they quoted me exactly how much it would be to augur the toilet. I forget his name--but the plumber from Action came out (right on time), fixed the problem, and charged us the exact amount we were told. I highly recommend Action Plumbing-- they are honest, respect your time and schedule, and do a great job.

Stand-up company. Vendor was contracted through our warranty, and was prompt, honest, professional with diagnosis and installation. Had an issue with our garbage disposal and Ricky took care of the rest. Planning to use Double R for any other plumbing issues that may arise.

They had to come out twice to repair a leak in our shower. They were prompt and got the job done. Reasonably priced and nice people. Plus, they were kind to my really nosey puppy dog, which is always a sign of good contractors. :)

I'm a landlord with several houses. I've been using BST services for years now and was always very satisfied with their service. They are on time, do an excellent job, courteous, and most important reasonably priced.

A plumber showed up an hour after calling (he was dispatched free of charge, no fee for a quote), charged a very reasonable price to snake our clogged drain, and was in and out. Extremely professional, reasonable and got the job done!

I hired this company to help me with post-inspection repairs (for the sale of my home in Baltimore). It was important for me to have all required repairs done and documented well before settlement date. Rob, the project manager, was amazing in updating me with the progress of the work. They completed the work on time (repairing/repainting of ceiling, structural reinforcement of the home- two very involved projects). They were also very honest in their pricing. I would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone in need of a licensed contractor.

Look no further! You won't find a better plumber than Jack. I been using Jack's Plumbing for over 15 years! I have confidence that every job will be completed correctly, the first time!

I have used these guys several times now and really like them. I don't feel like they are scamming me like the others.
I have used them to replace a hot water pipe to my kitchen sink, my main water line and to install a new hose bib on the side of my house. We had a couple problems with the hose bib but they sent someone out as soon as I called to fix the problem. Everything works great and customer service has been wonderful.
No hidden fees, price was based on an hourly rate unlike Len the Plumber. They will give you a free estimate before any work is done too.
Love these guys!

My worst $9,000.00 mistake. They never pulled a permit and left 3 foot of bad pipe that would have caused me issues latter on. Had to hire another contractor to fix everything. The owner sent an insulting apology letter that they copied and past from another website. Never finished the job. It was obviously to big for them to handle. Countless other issues too many to list. They will not do another job in this neighborhood. God will get justice in the end.

LATE. I scheduled an appointment at 8AM, but had to call at 8:45 to find out if the guy was coming. She showed up after 9AM.
I coordinated with my warranty company to have them do specific repairs to my furnace, but the warranty company and Atlantic Mechanical failed to communicate adequately on what specifically needed to be repaired/replaced, so it was a wasted service call that cost me money for no reason and made me miss a few hours at work.
I didn't have a choice in using them because the warranty company has a contract with them.
The rep was nice, but late. He reviewed what I had already stated needed to be repaired and confirmed what was already known. He ignored the other parts of the system that were likely failing because they were functioning. His definition of something that needed to be repaired/replaced is whether it works or not. No thanks, I rather not have to call a person out when it has failed when preventative repairs could have been done.

I should have looked on Yelp. They replaced a garbage disposal for me. They just did the work, thirty minutes or so, and charged $387! The new one is working and not leaking. The plumber was nice but this price is way too high for this service. The new disposal was only $120 at Home Depot.

Here's what happened, I'll let you decide if these guys are all right or not.
I had an issue with my kitchen sink draining. I would run the disposal (the motor was working), water would go down the drain, when I'd turn it off, most of the water would shoot back up. Now, I'm not a plumber, so I tried a plunger, didn't work, did some looking online, and decided to call these guys. They get good reviews on Google.
After some wrangling with the dispatcher, I managed to get him to send someone that day. That's pretty good, that's part of why they get 2 stars. There is a $45 call charge that will get waived if you have them do some work. They told me that up front. It's pretty standard practice, like it or not.
The plumber came, looked at it, went to his truck, and came back with two options: $187 to remove and clean the trap, $315 to snake the line. These prices seemed high to me, but as all plumbers do, they've got you $45 in and you need the sink. So I said ok. Literally 5 minutes later, the trap is off and was not the problem.
So, out come the snakes and the snake machine. He runs it, draws it back out, re-connects everything. Runs the water. Not fixed. Same exact symptoms. So, the snake goes back in, and this time -- here comes the MAIN REASON they get TWO STARS -- he decides to run water directly into the line to save himself the trouble of connecting everything back up. It's clear. Connects the trap back to the disposal. NOT CLEAR. Same symptoms.
IF HE HAD DONE THIS 5 MINUTE DIAGNOSTIC AFTER REMOVING THE TRAP AND BEFORE RUNNING THE SNAKE, HE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO BOTHER WITH THE SNAKE AND SAVED ME SOME MONEY AND BOTH OF US AN HOUR OR SO.
He tells me that the disposal needs to be replaced, comes back with $450 to install the same type of disposal or nearly $700 to install a better one. No option to FIX THIS ONE. The motor is still working. I didn't even bother to ask. In the time it took for him to write the quote, I had done enough research to decide to buy a very nice disposal for $175 and take an hour to do it myself. Lesson learned. $315 poorer and the drain still not clear.
That night I twiddled the jam buster and pulsed the disposal a few times, same the following day after ordering a new disposal from Amazon. By midday everything was draining fine. THE OLD DISPOSAL IS STILL IN THERE AND WORKING, thank you very much.
I realize that some people will think/say maybe there was a restriction in the line that he fixed and for some weird reason the disposal was also clogged but that got better as a result of him snaking the line. I'd say there is some miniscule chance that is true. It is true, I'm not a plumber, but after observing, it seems pretty obvious that if your goal was fixing problems efficiently, (1) you would try to rule out a jam in the disposal by testing the line for drainage AFTER CHECKING THE TRAP and (2) you would see if you could remove a jam/clog from the disposal BEFORE RECOMMENDING REPLACEMENT.
I give them 2 stars because the fit me in late in the day on a Friday and because the plumber was nice enough while he was there.

Great experience. Heard a funny noise in our house, called several plumbers, millennium plumbing was the only one to provide an immediate response (no one else could come until the next day). The guy was great, found a leaky pipe, and prevented us from having a huge problem/damage. Will definitely recommend.
