Best Businesses in Colorado
Can't believe these guys only have one review! I've used Wheeler's for many years, started back before John turned over the business to his son. Did a major furnace and air conditioner replacement years ago and have done many annual service calls and other odds and ends since then. Would highly recommend!

John is was great and fixed our plumbing issue. More importantly he was responsive, professional and reasonable in price. All other plumbers in this valley are garbage.

I needed a basement Lift Station (which evacuates waste out to our septic tank/leech field) rejuvenated and Pump replacement. Within 48 hours we had a plumber at our door. Oliver Whitney was extremely professional and it was obvious he took pride in doing a great job. He gave us a deal on a very expensive, but top of the line, pump. He left the area clean with no sewage scum in sight! On his way out the door we chatted and I told him I was gonna make him my personal plumber. We live in the mountains south of Estes and sometimes it's difficult to get any home service fixes to happen in a timely manner. Couldn't be happier, thanks Oliver!

These guys are the only company that returned my call and had a reasonable quote. They were also able to do the job same day and Josh was very professional and didn't leave a huge mess in my kitchen.

I found Efren through a referral. I am real picky about the interaction and level of detail from the people I work with. I absolutely hate to have someone come out to fix a problem and then try to upsell me on some other unrelated service. With Efren and Drain Pros, I got exactly what I wanted.
I needed my main shutoff valve replaced in the basement due to a slight leak at the drain valve. Over the phone he gave me a tip on something that I could try which, if it worked, would save a trip and obvious expense. I personally appreciate this type of offer especially since other plumbers I called wouldn't say, quote or recommend anything over the phone and then you're stuck with a house call bill if you don't use their service. But I decided to have piece of mind and have him just replace the whole valve anyway.
Efren and his apprentice showed up exactly when he said he would. We went over the work that needed to be done, he got the part and started work. The work was done promptly, cleanly and thoroughly. Here's the additional detail that I can really appreciate... Everything was done. He could have taken payment, packed up and left. No, he stood over the water meter to watch to see if the little hand was moving and thus showing a leak. I actually had another leak in the house that I never knew about! You can't hear it in the house it is so small. He put his head in the tank of our toilets and low and behold found the leak to be one of the toilet valves. You literally had to stick your ear in the tank just to barely hear it.
So did he try to sell me another $100 or $200 or whatever service to fix that? Did he try to scare me into thinking it was an urgent or highly complex matter. Nope. He pointed out the leak and asked if I felt comfortable enough to do it myself (which I've changed out tons of them so no big deal) and that was that. No attempted upsell of some $289 one year all coverage b.s. and scare tactic that it has to be replaced and if you have to replace it you need to replace everything else kind of garbage. Straight up. Honest. Not pushy or sketchy.
Now to plan the bathroom remodel and find out his schedule to handle the plumbing part for us.

I was at my sisters house and her sink faucet was making a crazy noise. Called around, Gerald said he would be out in the morning. He fixed her sink no problem! He checked and fixed a few other potential issues while he was there and was on his way in less than an hour. Super fast, very nice and knowledgeable.

We had several plumbing backups and a scope revealed issues with our main sewage drain - under the floor in the basement. The first three plumbers looked at the video and agreed that pieces of the cast iron pipe had broken off and were sitting in the line causing the backups. Their quotes were between $5-6K.
When Tim O'Connor viewed the video he said that the pieces weren't cast iron (too thick), but that the line should be replaced. His quote was thousands less too! During the job we came across our kitchens' antique grease trap and he even rerouted the line to connect it to the new main drain line.
His crew included a Master and apprentice plumber who worked nonstop. They didn't play music or goof off and they showed up when they said they would! Hats off to Tim O'Connor and his team. My neighbor recommended them to me (he's done two major projects for them) and I'll recommend them to anyone who asks for a plumbing recommendation.
December 2012 Update
We woke up to drip, drip, drip... another leak in our 60 year old galvanized pipes. So I called at 6:30am and Tim came out to patch the pipe that day. We knew that pipe replacement was an eventuality and luckily with new plastic piping reduced the cost and time. Tim's crew did a great job and I'm loving have all new pipes and no rust in our water! Thanks Tim!

A valve on my water heater started leaking late one night and my water heater was 14 years old and about to go as well so I looked up plumbers and came across Tyrooter. They seemed to have good reviews so I called them and Tyrone answered right away. I asked what to do he and his son Desmond, gave me some advice and said they could come out the next morning. They kept their word, came right out and assessed the situation. They gave me a reasonable quote, compared to places like applewood that rip your pocketbook, to replace the valve and recommended I replace the water heater too with one labor charge. They went and got the new parts and came back and installed everything very quickly and with high quality. Tyrone's two sons helped as well. The valve and new Bradford white water heater are working great. They also gave me an added warranty. I would definitely recommend this company for any plumbing needs.

Zach and his crew were great. They worked with our budget and got our house cooled down with a new system right away. Can't recommend them enough for being professional, fast, and fair in their pricing!

My technician was Cole Smith. He was very knowledgeable and polite and professional. He repaired the pipe leading into my water heater, which was leaking, and he showed me where the pipe had failed. (It was an old pipe.) He soldered a new pipe on and connected it. He wore a mask and worked very efficiently. He also answered questions for me about a repair I need on an outdoor faucet and also about installing main line water filters. He knew what he was talking about and told me how he would go about each job and offered to give me an estimate. Cole did a great job. I highly recommend him and Elite Rooter for your plumbing needs.

We had an unpleasant surprise and discovered a pipe spraying water in our crawl space. Nicholas came on a Saturday night after already dealing with a full day of emergencies. He was very efficient and fixed the issue quickly. He also took the time to explain things thoroughly and in a way that was easy to understand for newer homeowners. He was engaging and friendly and really a pleasure to work with! We were relieved at how reasonably priced his services were as well. We are thankful to have found him and will only call him in the future for any plumbing-related needs!

Super quality work, efficient, kept appointment time. Even put down a drop cloth in the work area. The attention to detail was great! Will definitely use again for future plumbing projects.

Our pipes froze overnight and I was able to get a quick response and advice from TCF. Someone actually texted me and was really responsive to my questions and updates via text, which is incredible customer service! Will definitely use them for all future plumbing needs.

Not normally the type to write a negative review, but the cost estimated to have a blower motor replaced seemed to be outrageous, exactly what Rachel b said in her review.
The good: communication was great and the tech was awesome.
The bad: estimated almost a grand to have an induction motor replaced and the pressure switch along with it. I got on google and found the motor for around $150 and the switch around $80.
I understand companies charge markup on parts, but how this is justified I'm not sure.
I then asked the tech how long it takes him to install and he said under an hour then he needs to test it.
This is all well and good but even if the part was marked up 100% it would still not explain the labor.
How much are these guys charging an hour? Even at $500 an hour it still doesn't come close to penciling.
Bottom line: unless I am completely misunderstanding how much parts and labor on this repair should be, I can't help but feel like I wasted $200 on the service call.
Verdict: disappointed

DO NOT USE THIS MAN. I called Dan after my front door got broken in to - on the phone he was nice and seemed responsive, scheduling me in last minute for later in the afternoon. I left work early to be back to my place, Dan was 2 HOURS LATE and DIDN'T BOTHER TO CALL TO LET ME KNOW. He then quoted me at $200 - materials would cost $12, the rest was for his time. He said didn't have time to fix it same day, at was totally booked all day Saturday, so he scheduled to come back 2 days later, Sunday, 10am. Sunday at 11am, I still hadn't heard from him, so I called and he said he had a fence job that ran late the previous day that he needed to finish up this morning and it would be another 2 hours at least til he could make it to my house. Finally, at 1pm, he called and said he be there at 2pm. Sure enough, he gets here at 2, the whole job took about 1 hour, and yet he wasted over 6 hours of my time. IF I AM PAYING FOR YOUR TIME, YOU BETTER RESPECT MINE.
He didn't even have all the right tools - forgot clamps, yet he knew he'd be doing woodwork. Odd to me. His assistant Steve was more knowledgable than Dan himself, he knew a place where we could have actually replaced the door, also was more observant, noticed that Dan was using the wrong ratio of hardener to epoxy.... pretty strange. He said he had a high end epoxy but when they went to use that, it didn't hold at all and ended up having to make an additional trip to the hardware store. Pretty ridiculous.
Moral of the story: Unless you really love WAITING AROUND FOR SOMEONE who CANNOT manage their schedule and takes on jobs he doesn't have the capacity to take on, then do yourself a huge favor and AVOID this company at all costs. And the finished job was only OK, really not the greatest work especially for how long it took to get done and costing me $140.

These guys were prompt, professional and did a great job. They called ahead to let me know when they were going to be there, rather than give you the 3 hour time window and just show up...I appreciated that.
