Wanted to have an interlock breaker installed for a generator. The technician said the only way to do it was to replace the entire circuit breaker box to the tune of $7,000+. Found another company that did the job for me (permitted), at a very reasonable price.

I went onto Yelp to find an electrician and requested a quote from 5 companies.  Vets Electric got back to me with a quote online before other companies even set up a date to send someone to give me a quote.  After discussing with several people the quote, everyone agreed the price was reasonable for the work.  A week later Aaron and a coworker came out and in less than 4 hours had the work done.  It looks great.  The work being done was upgrading a 110 volt 2 person hot tub to a 240 volt system.  Wiring had to be run from one side of the house to the other.  They did their best to make the wiring look inconspicuous.  The work space was all cleaned up and you would never know they were there except for the new wiring.  A side bonus was a military discount.  I appreciate that.  Thanks Vet Electric.

I have learned over the years that electricity was something best left to the experts, Seth was my first call--and my only call. I had planned to get bids from several electricians, but once I talked to  Seth at SMC Electric, I stopped searching. Not only was he prompt, honest, and very courteous, he was also extremely professional. Seth was very upfront with project costs and time, and had everything done well ahead of what was promised. Had them install boxes for ceiling fans in three bedrooms and an extra light in our master bathroom. Oreo did a great job. Work was performed professionally and quickly. After they were done I went to vacuum and found one of the outlets they had worked near wasn't working. I called and left a message. Oreo returned my call quickly and returned later that afternoon and had it corrected within 10 minutes. Also while he was in our attic he noticed the drain pan under our furnace was almost overflowing. He alerted me right away. I called the company (Evergreen) who installed our heat pump less than a year ago and am dealing with them as we speak to get their work corrected under warranty. Had Oreo not alerted us to their mistake we would have had a major water damage issue on our hands. Not only did he do a great job on our electrical but he saved us a huge headache with a completely unrelated issue.

Rick at Wilderness did the bid for us and was very professional and friendly. They had the best price and by far exceeded our expectations!

Our basement bathroom lost all power - not good - at the same time my neighbor's were having electrical work done.  The husband walked over and asked the electrician if he could stop by and take a look.  Not only did he make time for us, he found the broken connection, fixed it and was out the door in under an hour.  Really nice guy, fast, honest and affordable work.  What more could you want??

I am not easily impressed, but this company is outstanding! I requested bids to install an EV charger from 4 different companies, 1 of whom was a no-show. Brent from Washington Energy was by far the most thorough and professional and gave me complete confidence that they were the right company to hire. Daniel and Cornelius did the install and they were on time, polite, professional, efficient and finished earlier than estimated. They did a great job and the city inspector confirmed that they did an excellent job. I would absolutely hire this company again! The interactions I had with everyone in this company were above and beyond - I'm definitely impressed.

I contacted Paul to come see to some wiring issues in our home. Even though he has an extremely busy schedule, I was placed on a wait list and then contacted just a day or two later when some time opened up. Paul was able to come out and not only assess our issue, but spot a few other things that needed to be addressed. Super thankful for such quality work and professionalism from start to finish. We had Mirsky do the wiring for our basement finish project. Working with our almost hundred year old house and all its quirks was a puzzle for sure, but they got creative and also ensured everything done was to code. We had a miscommunication about some work we wanted to do ourselves and how it needed to be done and Darrell and Matt worked to reconcile the miscommunication, which was very appreciated. These guys are super busy so make sure to plan out.

Was so happy with their service.  They came out and completed our work in an extremely efficient and careful manner.  They were quite affordable and very honest.  Another electrician had advised us that we should go in several more expensive directions and AAA was very logical and honest in telling us a much less expensive and still highly effective way to go.   Overall I feel like I saved a few thousand dollars by calling them and I will call them again in the future.

Dear Yelp, If I were you I'd delete the 1 star review, it's useless.  someone from Toronto Canada?  Seriously?   Sounds fishy to me...

I found Dave through a referral of the Nextdoor Northgate/Maple Leaf community blog and I love the work Dave does,  he actually responds and is thorough in his explanations.  I'm very happy to have found him.

I contacted Live Wire after some recommendations from community members.  I called and Brian answered the phone.  I explained my job that I needed done.  He told me I could email him the photos that I took, which I did.  He said he would look and respond back that night or the next morning at the latest.  I heard nothing.  Over the course of a week I emailed 3 times after my initial email and left a voice mail.  If you do not want the job or you are too busy, take the 30 seconds to respond and say so.  Very unprofessional.  It's now been 19 days since I originally contacted them.  I will be going elsewhere for my work.

Had them come yesterday to move two existing outlets and a switch approx two feet along the same wall. 2 hours work. Billed $924.00.

That leaves a whopping $794 for labor. That is almost $800 or $400 per HOUR.
I think they should make a point of letting the customer know of the Service Charge, hourly rates, etc. so one is not completely blind-sided by the cost of a small job.

Derek was so awesome to work with. I saved up a bunch of small jobs for an electrician to do, that might have been more handyman work but he was more than willing to complete the work but did it in a quick and efficient manner. I got the wrong supplies, he helped me find replacements and gave me a budget for options, along with pros and cons of each choice. I am so appreciative of how easy he is to contact, how quick he responds and how professional but kind he is. I would give Alive Electric 10./10 if I could. Will definitely use this company again.

Just want to shout out to Brian Newton at Night and Day Electric. We had a two panel electrical box configured to one box bringing it up to code for specification. He was very respectful and knowledgeable of electrical practices and code and very informative to all our questions. Very little disruption in service to make this  correction. Thank you Brian.

We had a terrific experience with Mr. Electric.  James came on time, and then solved an issue we have had with our old oven with a creative solution, and then found a less intrusive method to install a new outlet. He was careful with COVID protocol and nice to have around.

Just a little over two hours from discovery of a waterfall in our basement to complete repair and water service back on. All of this after hours. Top-notch customer service. $158 emergency after hours call fee, plus repair cost. Hot shower and clean dishes here we come.

Brennan sent an electrician out to do an estimate for installing an EV charger at my house. It took 2 months just to get that arranged - including one time just completely forgetting to tell me the electrician would t be coming out on a scheduled day and rescheduling for 3 weeks later. The electrician finally gets out to my house and we talk about a plan for installing the charger outlet and he says he will email me a quote within 48 business hours. Another week goes by and I email them to say I haven't received a quote and I let them know I was anxiously awaiting it so we could get started. I receive a reply stating that they would let the technician know I was waiting on it. Another week goes by with radio silence. I send another email asking if this was going to be something that they would be able to do for me. Another 3 days go by with silence. I can't even track them down to throw money at them. I do t feel like getting a 240V outlet installed should take this much effort on my part. Completely disappointed.
