Reviews
We had a great experience with Mr. Electric and are so glad that we called them.
We had an exterior light fixture that was making our breaker jump and could not figure out why. We called Mr. Electric and they not only came out, but came out one day earlier than expected as they happened to be in the area of our home and finished another job earlier than expected. They provided great customer service both over the phone and in person when they came to fix the issue. That was a huge plus and we highly appreciated it!
They sent an electrician named Scott, who was very professional, and after removing the light fixture, was able to quickly identify what the issue was. He was a very nice person. He repaired it for us and they guarantee their work for ONE YEAR! That is awesome!
I highly recommend Mr. Electric!

I think this place truly rips people off. For 22 feet of copper wire we were charged 1000 dollars-- just for the supply. A quick google search makes it clear this is absurd, as in, the materials probably cost 100 dollars, tops, absurd. The entire job took an hour and I was charged 2600 dollars. Every single thing cost about ten times more than it should have. I understand an upcharge for the service, but this is scam-level.
I don't think this is the fault of the individual electrician who came, he's clearly just using the company's app to calculate costs.
I created an Yelp account just to warn all you guys out there. Stay away from this company. They are overpriced and unprofessional. I accepted the high price because I needed some work done fast and the other companies were booked for weeks in advance. What I mistake I made. The electrician that arrived was very rude and condescending. Had to order some parts that were supposed to arrive in a week. After a month of waiting they arrived! And guess what, when they came to install everything they realized they ordered the wrong parts. Had to wait another month for the correct parts to arrive. They also did some work on a light fixture in my bathroom but that stopped working a couple day after. Please stay clear of this company and save yourself the headache.
I was looking for some simple electrical work, swapping out a dual dimmer for a single dimmer.
I reached out to 3 companies two of them (Black Sheep and Mirsky Electric) provided me with an hourly rate and minimum service charge cost. Mr. Electric was the only one to not do this.
Fair and transparent businesses tell you their prices upfront. You'd never accept this type of pricing model in any other aspect of your life. Don't let these companies get away with preying on your desire to get the work done since they're there. Too many companies implore this practice in this town, it's unacceptable. They don't give you any pricing until they're on-site, at which time they hope to play the convenience card in getting you to pay for the work.
It's a below-board business practice and any great general contractor will tell you to not do business with anyone that can't give you a price sheet, hourly rate, etc, upfront.
Their rates shouldn't change depending on the job type. You either have an hourly rate or you have a fixed price per type of job. You don't get to have this notion of I'll charge whatever.
I've seen other companies do this too. Where they try and get you to schedule a service call only to be on-site and then try and pressure you into a sale.
Imagine if other services did this. Say you ordered some food delivery and they said, we'll give you a price when we get there. They show up and say oh, it looks like you're really hungry, the price is...
Their work may be good, I don't know, but you don't start off a business relationship obscuring pricing.
Expect more from businesses.
My Response To Larry R.
Your story isn't wholly accurate. Attached verbatims. Your dispatch said nothing of free estimate and then I could make a decision.
And yes, I can't do phone calls during the day, much like many technology workers.
We live in a world of email and messaging, not calls like it's 1999. Most people are in meetings most of the day due to the state of things, but we usually have our computers in front of us to facilitate the scheduling of things via modern tools.
You should take Blacksheep's Electric's lead. They have the ability to schedule online, so much simpler than trying to get on a call and most likely be put on hold, which people don't have time for.

This company was contacted for me by my interior decorators. What a great electrician!!!!! James arrived promptly at 8 a.m. to install a new outlet box in my bathroom. He defined the project clearly, quickly assembled all the necessary parts, and finished the job in the exact amount of time he had estimated. Everything was left in pristine condition. James also happens to be a delightful person and extremely knowledgeable. Simply put, he did a fabulous job.
We had a terrific experience with Mr. Electric. James came on time, and then solved an issue we have had with our old oven with a creative solution, and then found a less intrusive method to install a new outlet. He was careful with COVID protocol and nice to have around.
Do not count on this company ever showing up. I called on Monday, got a window of 11-1 for my business for them to show up today. I just called corporate, they didnt see me on the schedule and then asked me a couple of details and hung up on me after I confirmed two details.
Pretty much worst service ever. Avoid at all costs.
When 10 of the sockets in my house suddenly went out without warning, I called Mr. Electric to come out and troubleshoot the problem. Don stopped by on time and was simply amazing. As Don stepped in my door and shook my hand, the electricity in my entire house went out after flashing briefly.
Don went to work immediately and figured out we were experiencing an outage by PUD itself. He waited very patiently for 20 minutes before the electricity to come back on. When it did, he went right to work and identified why my sockets weren't working in less than 10 minutes. It turns out I was pulling way more power than I should have on my 15 amp breaker. Due to the extra load I fried one of my sockets which shut down power to every socket down the string.
Since I was pulling so much power on that 15 amp circuit, Don recommended I install a new line to my room and connect it to a new 20 amp breaker. The fixed the initial problem on the first day and, came back 2 days later (once again on time!) and completed the rest of the job.
The price offered was very agreeable. In fact, their prices were so competitive I had Don do several other bids on projects around my house and even accepted one additional piece of work on the second day. Don also fixed 4 of the outlets in my house that were connected to light switches and in one case a dimmer switch.
After I received 6 more bids for projects around my house, Don informed me that their bids are good for 1 year. So over the next year I will definitely be having them come out again and install lighting in various places in my house.

Very poor communication and customer service all the way through this company. I am a small business owner and had a light go out at my location. I called Mr. Electric and scheduled a free consultation. I had the manager Obed (?) come out and look at my situation and he told me that my ballast was out and that it would be $328 to replace. After thinking about it for a couple of days I decided to have them do the job.
I called to schedule out the job and was told that they were very busy but that they could do it in 3 weeks. I accepted those terms and scheduled out the job. On the day of the job, 2 gentlemen from Mr. Electric showed up and after about 20 minutes of working on the job they came to the realization that they did not have the correct ballast on hand. (To my amazement, I could not understand why the manager who was out 3 weeks prior did not confirm what parts were needed to do this job.) The installers drove around to local stores but could not find the correct part. They told me that they had ordered the correct part and that it should be in by the following day or the day after and they would be back out to install.
2 days had past and I still hadn't heard anything from the company. I called in frustrated, and was told that the part had not arrived yet but that it would be in on Tuesday and the manager himself would come in to do the job. Through my frustration the dispatcher put me on hold and got approval from the owner (Larry) to offer me a $75 credit off the job due to dropping the ball.
Tuesday came and went without any communication from Mr. Electric. On Wednesday I again had to call them to find out what was going on. I spoke to the same dispatcher who now told me that the soonest they could get someone out was Friday. At this point I admit, I was highly frustrated by the lack of communication as well as terrible customer service given to me. They showed no empathy or owned up to any of their mistakes along the way. Still at this point, I needed the job done so I accepted the Friday appointment.
Now here is where it gets ridiculous. Obed (?) the manager shows up to do the job. He tells me that he needs payment before he can start and gives me the amount. The amount he presents me with is the original quote of $328. I remind him of the $75 credit that they had offered me, and he says that can't be done because $328 is the lowest price that I can get since the part I needed was a specialty part. As soon as I started to show frustration, Obed completely shut down and said he could not do this job and that he was going to leave. I even got the owner (Larry) on the phone to try and reason with him and remind him about the credit he had offered me. In his own words, yes, I offered you the $75 credit but I did not realize that it was a specialty ordered part and I can not honor it. So you can either pay the full amount or we are not able to do the job.
At this point I completely can understand where the poor communication and customer service comes from when speaking to dispatch and managers because if the owner of the company is going to be this bad at it, it is going to trickle down and reflect through out. Need less to say, they left without doing the job and here I am, a month later and my light is still out. Pretty mind blowing. Do yourself a favor and please look elsewhere if you are in need of electric work.
Complete waste of time. After booking an appointment weeks in advance (as two weeks was their earliest availability to come out for an estimate), no one showed up or even bothered to call me back. I was given a time frame of 4-6pm. I had to move my work schedule around, leave work early and had to take personal time, only to sit around for two hours waiting.
After calling the office multiple times, I was informed that a person would call me back in minutes . No one ever called me back, no one ever showed up at all. Terrible way to do business. I wouldn't waste your time with Mr. Electric, as they definitely don't value yours.
Scott is a very good and very professional staff!price was great got the job done very efficiently
I was referred to Mr. Electric from Porch, which is a contracting service through Lowe's for electrical needs.
I told them exactly what I needed, which was to have my new home wired for cable and internet as the builders did not drop wires to make the house internet/cable ready.
They said they could do this no problem at all.
Four minutes before my appointment, they called and canceled and said the required wires for cable has changed and they can't do this. Four. Minutes.
If they couldn't do this, they should have told me on Monday when I initially set up the appointment. Not waste my time waiting for four days.
Fantastic company to work with from start to finish. Appointment desk staff were extremely responsive, got me in quickly, and kept me up-to-date on my technician's arrival status via phone and email. My technician, Scott, was not only a knowledgeable electrician, he was also honest and just a good human being. He went above and beyond to rectify my issue and wouldn't even except a tip. This was my first time using Mr. Electric and I will definitely be using them again. Wholeheartedly recommend this company.

Flunked the appointment
I took a day off for this. They were supposed to show up between 2 and 4. They called me at 3:30 to reschedule. And since they don't work on Saturday, then I'll have to find someone else.

Out of several electricians I reached out to, Mr Electric returned my call promptly and accommodated my request to come out the same day- actually they made it in less than an hour.
Communication was very good. The technician was polite and knowledgeable.
The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that I think I may have been overcharged, based on zip code adjusted installation cost estimators. I guess that promptness has its price, and they waived the diagnostics fee, so I still recommend them.
I thought they were expensive and the work could not be finished. The employee offered to come back for the same price. No price break to finish the job. They have some kind of stupid membership that I paid $79.00 to get a break on the price. I will never use that membership. I will not use Mr. Electric again. I think it is a franchise.
I called another company to come back to finish the job.

Called with an emergency 3 hours before having a houseful of people on a Saturday afternoon. Of the 5+ electricians I called, they were the only ones who called me back. He was kind enough to walk me through the problem on the phone and fix the problem myself. I was able to have my party with the lights on which was very helpful. He could have easily fixed the problem in a matter of minutes and charged hundreds of dollars. He chose not to do that which should allow people to trust. Will call again but hoping I won't need to. Thank you again.

I had an appointment for a bid scheduled at 9AM, and at 8:45AM I get a call from Mr. Electric saying that the tech is busy with an all-day job and can't make your appointment.
There was no apology and the Mr. Electric scheduler acted as though I was supposed to be OK with the situation and reschedule. Needless to say, that's not going to happen.
Don't waste your time trying to work with this company as they obviously don't care about blowing off appointments.
Terrible communicators, from the front desk to the technician:
-They didn't tell me work would require an inspection, then when I scheduled the inspection and took off work for it, I called to verify that the city was coming the day I had chosen and they said oh, we weren't able to get that day, can you do another day?. Would have been nice of them to tell me this BEFORE the day we had agreed on.
-They told me a heater they were trying to sell me didn't get hot to the touch and only when I looked up reviews of it on Amazon to see that it did indeed get hot, did they say oh yeah, it does get warm.
Terrible customer service:
-Barely attempted to clean up after the work. I had drywall dust coating my garage and each place they went into the wall and wire pieces and insulation all around each area of installation.
-Left my toilet filthy with no toilet paper.
No accountability. Do NOT do it.
If you are ever working with Mr. Electric, a whole-heatedly recommend to partner with Mr. Norman A. and his team of electricians. I recently bought a new house and he provided me a detailed inspection surfacing issues that a general inspector did not notice at first sight. This information was instrumental in my negotiations with the sellers. Afterwards, they helped me replace an outdated Murray panel and update the wires connecting to the city meter, bringing my house up to code.
Mr. Norman was extremely professional and helped me understand my needs and make better decision for my house along the way. I value this immensely in any service provider. The work was completed in less than two days and I could readily move in.
On a separate note, Mr. Electric office has not been equally supportive (hence: not a 5-star experience!). They missed informing of delays in our appointments, and have poorly followed up on my phone requests (I think I spoke with 4-5 different people and usually had to call back before obtaining the information i needed). Overall, good price and great delivery. I would recommend working with them.
Called yesterday at about noon in need of an electrician to assist with some wiring in our house. After get sassed at by the guy on call, my husband was told we would receive a call when the on call electrician was in our area.
1. I have never heard Sir sound so condescending as it did coming out of the guy on call's mouth.
2. The first time my husband called, the guy made it sound like someone was being sent to our house right then and there. When my husband called back for clarification, he got smart mouthed again.
3.We received no call, at all, the whole day.
Will not be calling again.

Pros:
- came out in short notice
Cons:
- were 4 hours late
- took another 2 hours to change 4 old outlets
- charged $600
I did not use the services of this company. I called to get a quote on installing a fan in my bathroom. They were the only company in the area who could come out in a timely fashion, which in hindsight I totally understand. The guys who came out were nice, but showed me pictures they took of another customer's house, which I thought was strange. Then, I was quoted almost $2,000 for installing the bathroom fan! I almost fell over. With prices like that, no wonder they have pretty open availability. I wish I would have read the reviews and not wasted my time calling.
While out of town I needed to have work done on my home by a licensed and bonded electrician. I normally use Mirsky Electric but needed the job done sooner than they could perform the work, so I contacted Mr. Electric of Greater Seattle. I needed the electrical panel serviced to repair a burned wire and two light switches (about $3 each at Lowe's) The panel service was $285, which I was fine with, but I know they took advantage of my older parents who were in charge of the house while I was gone, they charged $161.44 for each installed light switch. The bath fan might need to be replaced too, they quoted over $600 for the replacement of this $55 unit. Needless to say I will never recommend Mr. Electric of Greater Seattle to my clients or friends.
Look below....David makes appointments and then they just don't show up. Probably for the best as bad customer service in this phase is most likely representative of their overall service. Take your money someplace else.

I would highly recommend Mr. Electric. The technician was very friendly and thorough, explaining what needed to be done and why. The office staff, Tammy in particular, was amazing. We were having an issue with our home warranty company. They were making us jump through numerous hoops in order to just accept our claim for review. Tammy was fantastic! She was unwavering, always pleasant, never frustrated or annoyed at my repeated calls to her. All responses to my requests and those from our warranty company were met in a timely manor. She made phone calls, emailed, and faxed, making sure all pertinent information was received. Thanks to her our claim was reviewed and approved for reimbursement!
This company is awesome, and excellent customer service. My family had John come to our home for an emergency. And it was a good thing he was able to come in the middle of the night and check out our breaker as one was burnt out and was a fire hazard. I would say he saved our family's lives as a real house fire could have happened! John was very knowledgeable and I thank him and God for him responding to my phone call.
On July 24, 2019, Mr. Electric called me after getting my contact information form PORCH. We scheduled an appointment for today, July 31. Today, a week later, because an electrician did not show up as scheduled, I called Mr. Electric (425-774-7000) only then was I told that they do not work in my area and that they had passed my information on to a Mr. Electric in Seattle. No-one called me from either company to inform me of this development. I just wasted a day waiting and must now must find another electrician. You can be sure that it won't be Mr. Electric.
Save yourself the hassle and find a different electrician.
I scheduled them to do work on 6 apartments. They confirmed the day and time on a Friday and I told them that if they didn't receive payment by Monday, to call me and let me know. On Wednesday (the day they were scheduled to come), they didn't show up. I called to inquire and they told me they never received payment. After much wrangling and a cancelled check later, they sent one electrician over an hour and a half later who didn't have any supplies to get work done. The supplies arrived an hour later - around 1 pm. Around 4, I was told by one of the electricians that they would finish only 2 apartments that day because they wanted to go home. I called the front office and even the owner to let them know that this is unacceptable - my tenants and myself had taken the day off for this work to be done. Again, after much wrangling, the electricians finished the work.
This work requires that the city inspect it and the electrical company is the one to schedule it. Not once, but twice Mr. Electric has lied to me, telling me that they have scheduled the inspection with the city - even giving me specific dates that they have confirmed - and both times (once the day of the purported inspection), when I called the city, Mr. Electric has not scheduled anything. Fortunately, the second time they lied to me about scheduling the inspection, I called the city a few days before, knowing that their front office is incompetent. Unfortunately, this was after notice was given to the tenants and they had made adjustments to their schedules. I can only think that this is retaliation for holding them accountable and making sure that they did the job we paid them for

I never write reviews, but I have to share that I called Mr. Electric in a panic. There was a loud buzzing/rattling in my bathroom that I couldn't identify, and I honestly became concerned that this could lead to an electrical fire (oh to not have to admit this). Well, they fit me in and had two electricians at my door in about an hour. Embarrassingly, they found the source (a motorized toy in the bathtub, where I did not even look), Totally humiliating, but the guys were so good about it all. I'll definitely try them again in the future but promised to only call for real issues going forward.

We mysteriously lost power to our master suite a few weeks ago. After contacting over a dozen electricians/companies to diagnose the problem we finally had a friend refer Mr. Electric. They were able to come out the next day (vs being booked 3 months out like the other companies we contacted). The first technician was unable to diagnose the problem and scheduled a more experienced electrician to come back the next business day to work to find the problem. Norman arrived today, was courteous and knowledgeable and fixed the main problem as well as fixing the code violations he found along the way. He kept me apprised along the way and informed me of the potential hazards, and pros and cons of specific wiring choices. We will be calling Norman and Mr. Electric for our future electrical needs and would highly recommend him and his helper. They were even very good with our pets and toddlers as they worked through the house. Thanks guys!

Called at the time they were scheduled to arrive to cancel for the day. Said they were running late but there was still plenty of day to fit me in. I rescheduled telling them I would have to leave the house by 1 that day so they scheduled at 9:30. I called by 11 when they weren't there and they said they had it scheduled for 1!
When they did finally come I had two really big problems. They had me sign an invoice for $225 at the beginning of the appointment and a few minutes later said they needed to add another wire and it would cost more. I said sure and they had me sign an invoice that said $275. I assumed that was the total with the $50 added for the new wire. He didn't say AN ADDITIONAL $275. The guys were there for barely an hour and it coat me $600??? I was so surprised when I got the invoice the next day.
And worse yet, we left the house at the same time and I didn't get the chance to notice that they left two large gouges in my 100 year wood stairs. I left a complaint by phone that night and asked if they had filed an accident report and have not heard back. Stay away from this company if you value your time, money and house.

The phone reps at Mr Electric are polite but that's about the only positive thing I can say about them. They don't have an hourly rate and instead offer to send someone over to provide a free, onsite estimate.
I made an appointment for Thurs but they accidentally sent someone over on Wed. Since we were home and spotted the Mr Electric truck outside our house, we had the guy come in, and explained ehat we wanted done. Well, their estimate to replace 7 smoke detectors and 1 bathroom timer (I already had all the parts on hand) was $1100!!! I got an estimate of $170 from another electrician, recommended by Handy.com.
Enough said. I'll leave it to you to draw your own conclusions.

I cannot thank Don enough for coming out to give me an estimate for chandelier installation.
Right before he arrived at my house, an exhaust fan in my laundry mat has just passed away.
He verbally told me how to put in a replacement exhaust fan which wasn't even why he was there!
To make a long story short, I booked an appt to install crystal chandelier in the foyer.
He worked efficiently & speedy.
I will definitely call them again!!!
We had some electrical issues that had to be rectified, Nicole (in office) and Obed (electrician) made it very easy to work with! I would recommend Mr Electric to anyone!!! Thanks for all your help!!!
Called in the morning and Steve and Bill were there by early afternoon. Problem was the recent storm knocked out power in one room where there was old wiring. Called one electrician who said it would be a month before they would come out; another just wasn't interested. Mr. Electric was there when we needed them. Steve is a can do kind of guy. Took him a couple of hours to get to the cause, but he was enthusiastic and positive he could take care of the problem. And, he did. Steve and Bill were very pleasant, and didn't mind our various questions. The price was fair, and I was happy to pay it. We would recommend this company without question.

They came out to troubleshoot the low voltage light fixture and arc fault switch. Preston arrived as schedule and tested all the outlets, the light fixture and the panel. He reassured me that nothing was wrong with the electrical in the unit, but that the arc fault switches tend to be easily triggered and not a sign of a problem in our unit. He tightened the connections to the light fixture and explained why the fixture was working intermittently. Preston gave an honest evaluation of the electrical situation in my unit. Before we had them come out, I was afraid that we would have to change the fixture, components of the panel, or worse - rewire. Thank you for giving us peace of mind. Very professional and worked efficiently.
Very pleased with the service from Obed at Mr. Electric. He was maybe the kindest, most professional service provider I have ever worked with. He explained the details, steps and options, worked efficiently, taught me what I needed to know about the upgrades he had completed. Furthermore, he is very easy on the eyes and not bad to look at if you know what I mean. The price was somewhat higher than that of other electricians, thus a 4 star rating. The best part about this company is that they give the bid and then can do the job immediately if you approve. I didn't need to take an additional day off of work.

Full disclosure: we did not use this company's services. We were recommended to these people by a friend, but couldn't believe the quote they gave us. The guy who came out was super nice and friendly....however, he told me about 5 different things that needed to be done because they weren't to code and quoted me 4k above what actually does NEED to be done. I'm so glad we got other bids, because we almost tore our house apart to do these repairs because the guy made us believe nothing was to code for the city or that they were so dangerous our house would burn down. Will not recommend!!

I was told that the job for the first hour is $199. The electrician was done in 20 minutes and our final bill was $315. The job was to just disconnect the alarm system so no extensive or extra materials was needed. Totally got ripped off and will never use them again.

I contacted Mr. Electric to get a bid for wiring in a new hot tub. The first appointment was moved because the dispatcher did not think the electrician would make it, no biggie. I was scheduled for today at 12 noon and even had a email confirmation pertaining to that. Both my wife and myself took time away from work so we could be there. At 1pm I contacted the Operations coordinator to inquire about the whereabouts of the electrician. She told me that the electrician had called in sick and would not be there. I was angry that they did not have the courtesy to call me before hand to let me know the situation. Of course she offered to reschedule the apt but I quickly declined.
We had an unhappy experience with Mr. Electric - Lynnwood.
We took advantage of their offer to provide a FREE, on-site estimate to install an electric car charging station in our garage. We live on the Kitsap Peninsula; so, travel cost for a vendor in Lynnwood was a concern for us. However, Mr. Electric was recommended by the electric car manufacturer and we were assured by Mr. Electric that travel (ferry) cost and travel time to provide the estimate would be waived. When Don, the electrician, arrived, he gave us an estimate for the job. It seemed very, very high, but since he was here already and said he could start the job this same day, we elected to proceed. Don started the job, worked two hours and then said he would be back the next day to finish. On a whim, we called a local electrician who offered to do the same job at one third the cost of what Don had quoted. That evening, we called Don's service manager, said we wanted to cancel the job but would, of course, pay for the materials he had purchased and his time to this point. To our disappointment, service manager refused to refund any of the down payment charged to our credit card -- and also added in full round trip travel time and ferry costs which was represented to have been waived. We felt this unfair. The local electrician did, in fact, finish the installation at the lower fee. Based on this experience we would NOT recommend Mr. Electric.
I contacted the company and told them I needed some receptacles installed and a lockout installed for a dishwasher, in order to pass an electrical inspection for which I had pulled a permit. They did the work and then told me they would need to pull a permit themselves. I left a message asking them to call me before they pulled their own permit so we could discuss it, because their permit was redundant. They never called, pulled the permit and then charged me an extra fee for pulling the permit. I left two messages after the fact asking their boss to call me and explain why they had never called me back. He never responded to either of my messages. I highly recommend avoiding this company.

Don't recommend for troubleshooting - very high cost, trouble with scheduling. Needed troubleshooting and presumably repair for a circuit problem in an older home. Called Lynnwood, WA location (about 4 miles from me) on Sat afternoon - left info with a live person, never got a callback. Then went onto Lynnwood site and left info to schedule an appt on Sun evening. Apparently the request was redirected to Greater Seattle office, which I didn't know until I got the invoice after the job (I am in a North King County town, much closer to Lynnwood). After several calls with a dispatcher who didn't seem very competent (he also said, when I asked, he was from the Lynnwood office - he was not - I wanted Lynnwood because they have much better reviews), eventually got them out on Tue afternoon. Electrician was friendly, knowledgeable and found the issue (a bad outlet) in about 40 min, and pointed out safety issues with old breaker panel and breakers. However, the troubleshooting fee was a flat $285+tax, regardless of time spent (and I signed a disclaimer that they might not be able to find the issue) - so about $315 for an hour of work (plus drive time), including writing an estimate for a new breaker panel. Also, this job did not include the relatively simple repair - I replaced the outlet myself - no big deal, but for the cost this simple repair could have been included instead of just the troubleshoot itself. However, this may be par for the local electrician industry - hopefully it will be easier to get multiple bids when I am not trying to get troubleshooting help, need someone to come out, and thus have zero leverage.
Stay away from Mr.Electric!!! I was charged $425.00 for the replacement of one CFGI outlet. These outlets (the kind with the reset button) cost $12 at the hardware store. The problem (outlet not working) was quickly resolved (within minutes) by the replacement. I understand that the installation was included but I am appalled by these charges and have called twice to discuss my concerns only to be told I'd be called back (but haven't been). I was not provided an itemized bill, only a total via my credit card. I also inquired about the application of their online coupon for $150 off of an install but was told I couldn't use it. I discourage anyone from using this company's services.

This is the first time we have used Mr. Electric. We were very impressed with Steve our electrician. He was prompt, Courteous and professional. He explained in detail how he was going to do the job. And listened to our concerns. He also finished the job on time and cleaned up any messes that were made. The end results for our new lighting created the ambiance we were looking for. We look forward to having more work done by Steve in the near future.
Thanks for a job well done,
Terry&Dave W
I was given an appointment within two days of calling. The technician, Don, was on time, polite, and knowledgeable, He had the unenviable job of hanging hundreds of small pendants on the chandelier he installed for us. He did it well and without complaint. Don also installed 5 wall sconces. I highly recommend the service and Don!

I had saved this particuliar company after two years returning from overseas assignment. were impressed at first; i review other electric companies some were extremely rude , held me hostage speaking about things to husband what were needed . like one company had a backlog and extremely expensive before my quest arrival were due ;; the manager supervisor; journeyman electrician' reported out' quoted me price for a new whole new panel box and rewiring , along with the main request in the basement next to the box to check the outlet that did not work; He failed to co-ordinate with the carpenter and me on his time schedule -- he worked by himself brought a person fresh from the airplane from Guam to change outlet upstairs i got charged additional 70.00 ea for one said he were training and had had child care issue had to leave came around 10 and the helper probably were gone by noon he stayed on the phone for two days more than work also charged for membership, powersurge battery protector , did not finished the job. poor office people , the supervisor he had problem with his worker they were leaving the job he did not leave until he charged me for the complete work panel and making sure the wires matched the hell with the rest. totally completed my panel membership and powersurge battery went from 4,000. us dollars to 5500. us dollars. is( not included I had to get an immediate carpenter to frame out and he never came out to co-ordinate) nor the inspector to sign off -- charge for city inspector 350.00 never came that has been a month ago.

Very professional service from both Paul and Steve. The work does was great. Steve explained everything to me and did the work well and in a timely manner. Paul was great on the phone keeping me abreast as to when they were coming and making sure it fit my schedule.
Mr. Electric was hired to do a complex indoor/outdoor security installation requiring state approval and compliance and represented that they could do the job. The completely misrepresented their skills then tried to send us a bill for double the quote as they talked us into agreeing to pay hourly as they though they could save us money.. Workers left trash all over that we had to pick up. The job is incomplete. They installed connectors on 25 outdoor cameras that will fail in the weather because they are indoor connectors that need to be weather proofed. They have left one DVR uninstalled and 3 of 30 cameras are not working at all. 8 additional cameras have never been installed and so a DVR sits disconnected. They installed unrated power boxes (No UL sticker) and so the electrical inspector failed their work. They have not come back to fix the system. Their owner, Larry, wants us to pay him more money. Stay away from this company. They should not be in business. Their carelessness and incompetence will get someone hurt or worse.
