HISTORY
Established in 2012.
Wickman Electric started with the idea of offering great customer service to clients throughout any electrical project, no matter how small or large. As the owner I have been working as an electrician for the over 15 years. My father was an electrical contractor that believed there was only one way to do electrical work, the right way the first time. I believe in the same idea and look forward to helping you with your electrical project. As a small electrical contractor with no employee's you get to work directly with myself the owner. This also means we tend to book appointments quickly and quite far in advanced.

Hello I'm Brian Wickman. As an owner and electrician with Wickman Electric I look forward to working with you to complete your electrical project. I have worked as an electrician for over the past 15 years. My work experience over those years has allowed me to gain a knowledge of many aspects of electrical work. I have worked on high end custom homes, electrical service, and a few commercial multistory buildings in Seattle. My biggest specialty is helping customers with their electrical needs. As a note, this is an unsolicited review. I have had companies offer discounts, etc for Yelp reviews and facebook posts... but that is not the case with Wickman. I only mention this because I'm sometimes wary of businesses with 100% 5-star ratings... but in this case, Brian and his team deserve every 5-Star rating they get.
Wickman Electric installed an 80A subpanel in my garage, so I could run 220v circuits to some heavy machinery. This was no small task, as there iss considerable distance from the power hookup to the garage (think opposite corners of a cube, if the cube was a two story house). Brian and Jared were creative problem solvers and walked through options. They developed a more efficient and less invasive method of getting power to the garage than two other companies that looked at the problem. Easy decision.
These guys are punctual, professional, and courteous. Little things like removing shoes without being asked... and double checking where I wanted outlets and panels installed. All around great experience.

Prompted by a power break to my detached garage, I hired Wickman Electric. This, after a previous electrician could not find the cause. Brian did and solved it quickly in a professional manner. Pleased with his performance, I also increased the scope of work to site lighting and wiring of a detached studio. Brian impressed me with his electrical knowledge and he came up with some great solutions for the site lighting. You should know that I have over 40 years in managing commercial construction projects where I've work with a lot of industry professionals. Brian is top-notch and I would not hesitate one bit to hire him again for my electrical needs.
Contracted Wickman Electric for a small job installing some can-lights in my basement remodel. In addition to a spectacular job, Brian also installed a fire alarm to keep my house within regulation even though I did not think about this beforehand. Very nice, and pleasant to do business with. I will definitely call Brian for any additional electrical needs in the future!

Brian's work was prompt and efficient, and he solved our problem in no time at all. We had two electrical outlets that had gone out, and he figured out that it was connected to the hot water faucet by the kitchen sink. I was very impressed that he figured that out from not knowing how the house was wired in the first place. Quick and impressive work! He was also polite and professional and explained everything to me clearly. His rates are also more than fair. True expertise. Very highly recommended!
One of the better contractors I've found in this area, and we've worked with a lot. Very competent, courteous, cleans up after himself (so rare) and most importantly, his work actually fixes the issue you hired him for (so many times we've had to re-do work ourselves or hire someone else to do it if we can't after we pay someone here). Only issue, like every other good contractor here, it can be hard to get in touch with him and schedule work to be done. But I think that is just the way it is and if you are lucky enough to find a competent contractor in this region you just have to keep calling.

Brian installed a 125 amp feeder panel in my new detached garage. He worked fast for a great price. Best of all was his communication leading up to the job: he emailed me his bid in only 4 hours and answered all of my questions over email promptly. When I rent this house out, I will be calling Wickman Electric because I can trust Brian to keep me informed of what's going on.
Don't even bother calling them, the recording says they're not accepting new clients and existing clients are being scheduled 4 - 6 months out. Why even bother...?
Brian was professional and a mental contributor. He installed reassess lighting in our living room sealing and did an excellent job. He's very knowledgable when it comes to electrical work and will use him in future projects. Highly recommended.

Our basement bathroom lost all power - not good - at the same time my neighbor's were having electrical work done. The husband walked over and asked the electrician if he could stop by and take a look. Not only did he make time for us, he found the broken connection, fixed it and was out the door in under an hour. Really nice guy, fast, honest and affordable work. What more could you want??
What can I say? All the other reviews are correct. Brian did an awesome job. He moved circuits between sub panels and installed a manual transfer switch. The work was done well and he did a bunch of other tidying up type jobs on the panels, which leaves them in a more organized state than before. No surprise he books out quickly, but well worth the lead time!

Brian was great on the phone today. He did not come to my house. Instead he explained to me how I could fix this simple problem myself. He could have come out and charged me and I would not have known the difference. Straight-shooter!
I upgraded to a 220V washer/ dryer system typically used in Europe. Although a bit unorthodox, Brian was quick to decide what components needed to be changed to fit our system. . Also, he added a 220v breaker, ran it behind my cabinets to where the washer now resides. He did a lot of great work in short period of time. highly recommended.

Service was great. It was easy to set up an appointment with Wickman Electric and we received prompt responses to our questions. Jared arrived on time and was very efficient. Our bedroom has been hotter than Hades this summer. We hired Brian to install a ceiling fan for us so we can sleep without ice packs under our necks at night. Brian did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a professional, reasonably priced electrician.

Amazing service! I emailed Brian yesterday and he was over at my house by noon today. I rent out my townhome so I wasn't able to be there for the actual appointment but Brian was very easy to communicate with and he immediately billed me via email afterwards. SO nice to be able to landlord from afar! He went above and beyond by checking out other light fixtures within the house that the tenant had questions about and sent me links to the appropriate light bulbs to fix them. Pricing was completely reasonable for his services and he even has a first time Yelper $20 discount. All in all - awesome!!
The job could not have gone more smoothly. Brian installed a 220 line and fixed a non-functioning 110. He researched our issue before he came to give a bid. I can't imagine finding anyone more flexible and able. He got done ahead of schedule, as well, and did a great job putting my yard back together. (The job required digging a ditch. I couldn't believe how much dirt that displaced). HIghly recommend.
