Best Emergency Services in Seattle WA
Had our service upgraded from 100A to 200A.
Rich arrived for the estimate, on time and masked. Very personable and answered my copious questions (as a retired engineer I had lots). Very detailed answers and willing to address any concern I had. At the end of the estimate I felt like I had a good grasp of the work involved.
Went with his company and at the scheduled time Travis and Igor showed up to do the work. Again, arrived masked. And, again, were very informative about what the day process would be like and willingly answered any questions I had.
They worked as an efficient team. Rich checked in part way through the day and the process went smoothly. A long bundled up day (mid Dec), but when they left we had power back and everything working fine. They came next day to do some cosmetics button-ups and inspection prep.
While the inspection raised a couple issues, Rich, Travis & Igor worked out solutions to get the corrections done quickly w/ minimal interruption and it readily passed the next one.
All three gents were easy to work with, never (as far as I could tell) tired of my how-things-work questions (enquiring minds, etc) and were very efficient in their work processes. Next time I have need of that level of expertise, they are my first call.

I would highly recommend Dean for any job. I needed to get water heater replaced in one of my rentals and called him yesterday and within a day the job was completed to my utmost satisfaction. He was super responsive, courteous and spent good amount of time walking me through the process. During the heater install there were some glitches with how my water heater was set up and he worked through that without any additional charges.
He is also very clear on tasks that he can do vs. tasks he wont do so if he commits to doing something rest assured he will do a great job or tell you that is outside the scope of his expertise.
Thank you Dean for a job well done.....

my bathroom exhaust fan/light in the shower crapped out. I bought a new fan and Will installed it for me. Very personable and friendly service!
on time and completed the job as required at a very reasonable price.

In one word: inconsistent.
In more words:
After a problem getting my initial call returned, I was able to book an estimate with Live Wire. I had a list of changes: new thermostats, replacing a spotlight with a can light, and replacing two bathroom fans and their switches (going from fans with heat lamps to fans without lamps, and from three switches in the plate to two). During the estimate, I was told that completely replacing the switch plate would leave a drywall hole, which they couldn't patch, so we agreed to a filler switch to avoid the hole. I wasn't happy about it, but I agreed I didn't want to patch drywall if I didn't have to.
We like the thermostats, and the can light was properly installed. During the visit, the electrician(s) discovered that the circuit for our baseboard heaters was overpowered and let us know this was a fire risk. They recommended fixing it and we had them do that. This was good of them and I'm glad they brought it up. The fan install wasn't really to my liking. They left huge holes in my ceiling -- which I understand was the result of the new fan not fitting like the old one, and I do get that -- but that left me with the burden of finding someone to patch the drywall. So then my question became: why not change out the switches like I had wanted? I already needed to hire someone for the drywall, but they still used the ugly workaround of a blank/dead switch in the three-switch plate. This was disappointing, but I kinda (only kinda!) understood how it happened (different people doing the work than the estimate), so, fine. I can live with it, annoying as it is, and the rest of the work was good so I can forgive that.
We sold the property those changes were made on and moved. In the new house, we needed an electrician to swap out some fixtures and replace some outlets. I was willing enough to use Live Wire again because of the mostly-positive experience (and it's damn hard to get an electrician to call you back these days). I called, and Brian came out for an estimate again. He was very consultative, which was great, and didn't push me to do work that I wasn't sure about.
And that was it.
I never received an estimate, even though I reached back out to try and check in. There was still no response. I get that it's a busy time to be in a construction-y trade, but please do not come out and make me explain everything just to flake after. It's a waste of my time (and theirs, really).

Yesterday afternoon my wife contacted me that our GCFI outlets were not working and couldn't be reset. We checked the breakers and then the reset buttons a second and even a third time with negative results. I began calling 24/7 emergency electrical services and left messages with three. The only one to call back was Night and Day. They contacted Brian, who contacted me and said he was on Whidbey Island, this was around 4:30, but could be at our place by 7pm. I didn't think it could be done but Brian did it! Once he was there he listened to what happened in the afternoon and got to work right away. He was finished in about 30 minutes and we now have beautiful, working GCFI outlets! Polite, friendly and efficient. Thanks Brian!

Similar situation as Stephanie R. below... - I called to schedule an appointment. They told me they don't do appointments (which is a little frustrating for those of us who work), but could give me a 4-hour window of when they could arrive, with a call 30 minutes before arriving. I scheduled the date/time and waited... That day, in the middle of the time frame that was provided, they called and said an emergency came up and wouldn't be able to work on my furnace. They apologized and we rescheduled for today and gave me a 2-hour window for this morning... - 15 minutes before the end of my 2-hour window, I receive a call saying another emergency came up and they wouldn't be able to come out again... They asked to reschedule and I told them how frustrated I was and would not be working with them again... I took time off work all for nothing. This company obviously cannot handle non-emergency calls and should not be in the business of scheduling regular maintenance appointments, if they can't keep their appointments.

Todd Wheeler came out and ran a maintenance on our heatless water tank. He was very knowledgeable and was very efficient. Looking forward to working with him again!

Pros
Cheap and affordable
Cons
The owner I believe, his name was Ceicl arrived to give us our bid on a job and smelt like marijuana. Which wasn't a big deal but was very unprofessional and was not the best first impression a company could leave.
Second issue which was the bigger issue to us was the lack of professionalism and communication throughout the job by the team. On top of the lack of communication the technicians had a poor attitude when questions were asked or when I stepped out to see how the work was going.
Would not recommend this company unless your looking for the cheapest route possible.

Lost a star because they are literally the most expensive out there. But, not only am I pleased with the work they've done (mini split and replace my electrical panel), but their follow up visits have been just as stellar.
I come back because of the quality of workmanship and customer service. I hesitate because of the price.

Puget Sound Electric Co. is dependable, friendly, and thorough. The owner, Charlie, feels like an ole' friend that will look out for you. I had my detached garage completely rewired including a new underground line from the house. Charlie came out and gave an estimate within days of my initial call. He provided an estimate/work scope that aligned with my project goals. His team completed the work in one day and even cleaned up after themselves. Charlie and his team are really clean-cut and respectable. Puget Sound Electric does a great job for a fair price.

Out of three AC companies, Allred was the only company who was able to get our air conditioner unclogged. Jesse took his time, got it figured out, and was professional and polite through the whole experience. They definitely have our business moving forward.

I bought a house in summer of 2012. The first winter we spent in the house just happened to be the winter it got down to about 10 degrees outside here. I have 2 children & when I came home from working all night, my house was only 42 degrees inside. I called several different companies in the morning & all of them were booked. I called Mercurio's & they had a technician out to me the same day & my new furnace was installed & working by the next day. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly, knowledgable & efficient. They explained all of the differences between the different types of furnaces available to me & why they would or wouldn't recommend them. They also helped me figure out if I was eligible for any tax discounts, or any discounts through the city where I live. I ended up making what I feel was a very informed decision & got a great deal. I would highly recommend Mercurio's to anyone. I will be a repeat customer & will be using their services to have a heat pump installed very soon.

I had a switch/outlet in my kitchen go out recently. I tried to fix the switch myself, but figured I'd better call an electrician just in case. I called Eco Electric & Plumbing and spoke to a very friendly employee who made an appointment for me within a week's time. I received reminder emails and a text the morning of the appointment. I had the pleasure of meeting Shane Tripp who was right on my time for my 8am appointment and extremely friendly and courteous. He got straight to work and talked me through the issues I was having with my outlet. Shane even asked if I had other electrical issues not related to the appointment which he was willing to help me with. Shane is the best! If I ever have any need for an electrician, I'll be sure to ask for Shane.

My experience with All City Electric has been frustrating. I contacted them to install a ceiling fan on my lower floor based on a work colleague's recommendation. Everything I wanted, Chris the electrician said he could not do; e.g., replace a recessed light with the ceiling fan, install a wall plate with speed and light control. Instead, he installed the fan between two recessed lights and wired it so that the only way to operate the fan was by remote control; an additional purchase. He kept the wall plate. The job was shockingly expensive. Fast forward 9-months later when it is warm enough to use the fan for the first time; the fan only operates when the recessed lights are on. We contacted All City to correct this issue, a month later Chris corrects it, and today we get a bill and we will need to hire a contractor for dry wall. Unbelievable and extremely frustrating.

Had Brandon come out and install two circuits and replace a breaker. I learned a ton talking to him - he pointed out existing advantages I didn't know I had in my electrical system and made recommendations to protect the electronics in my house. Very fair pricing, very fast and professional work and very friendly! Loved that he was happy to explain everything he did and why.

We had a problem with a broken switch in our bathroom, that we tried to fix Friday night and made it worse. Called a few different options, most of them could not make it. Initially we thought these guys would be able to help, but by then they were booked Friday night, too. They came Saturday morning, took care of stuff (I wish I remembered both their names, Ali... and probably Chris... I think) efficient, answered all questions, respectful and they fixed the issue in about 20 minutes. I almost brought them from 5 to 4 stars because it was not cheap. But I get it that it was an emergency, next time we'll call the experts instead of making things worse ourselves. Oh, and my son found a $50 coupon we could apply, that at least helped a bit, too. Thanks for your help Beacon.

So disappointed with this company! They came out to replace a toilet, and the plumber said he had to break the existing toilet to get it out ( despite the fact we had it out a few months ago with no trouble). Then told me he couldn't install my new toilet properly. So when I asked how he planned to fix this he quoted me an additional $400 on top of the $400 he wanted to install the toilet. I told him no- it was too much money, so he left me with nothing installed and he took my broken toilet !! Complete bait & switch!
I requested compensation from the office for their plumber breaking my property under license & bonding and was told a flat no. What company breaks your stuff and isn't accountable for it??? Southwest plumbing is not the one to call!

Please stay away from this business, they lied about repairs needed, price, and times they can do the service. Their sales rep Steve stated he could get the job started immediately unlike other companies, that was his selling point. But we found out that was a lie and have decided not to move forward with this company. So if you want to be lied to call Steve at Dear services
