Best Water Heater Installation in San Francisco CA
Johnny replaced my old hot water heater and also replaced my bathtub faucet. He was punctual and left my home in perfect condition! I could not be happier.

Here's a letter I just wrote to the manager of Mr. Rooter in Oakland:
Hi Steve,
I just wanted to give you some feedback about the job we had Carl come out for yesterday. We needed a gas line capped from a defunct hot tub (left behind from the previous owners of our house). Carl came for a free estimate yesterday. He pointed out that the part of the pipe that was visible and above ground was PVC, totally illegal and dangerous. He said he couldn't see where the PVC connected to a main gas line, whether under the deck or under the house. We suggested he look under the house. He said he couldn't see anything and was too big to crawl into the crawl space so instead he told me to hire someone to pull up the boards of the deck to see where the pipes lead. Carl told me that it would cost $400+ for him to come back after the deck had been opened up and he left. He left a job that he said was the most dangerous he's seen in 9 years but was unwilling to go into our crawl space to look around and figure out how to deal with it.
It immediately got someone over to pull up the boards that Carl recommended. This handyman arrived before Carl even left, but he wouldn't wait till the boards had been pulled up (obviously didn't care at all about getting the job done, keeping my home safe or anything like that). First of all, the area he recommended we pull up the boards wasn't where the pipe actually was. And when we found the pipe, it just went underground and there was nothing to see or do under the deck.
Through a personal recommendation, I got another plumber, the one I will certainly be employing from now on, named Andrew Carothers-Liske, to come to the house that evening. The minute he walked in the door he said that the place to cut off the gas to that pipe would be under the house. He shut off the gas to the house, went into the crawl space and in less than an hour, he had cut the gas line to the hot tub and capped it. The whole job cost me $132. This plumber was courteous, smart (he knew right away where to find the gas line and it DIDN'T require cutting open our deck) and was willing to do what it took to fix this very dangerous situation while he was here.
On the most basic level, I wouldn't recommend sending plumbers out to jobs if they aren't willing to go into the crawl space of a house. Furthermore, he didn't know what he was doing, and wasn't willing to do what it took to find and fix the problem. And he wanted to charge 4x what another plumber charged.
Your telephone hold message has a whole spiel about how your plumbers are courteous. I have worked with several plumbers in your firm and there is a similar attitude amongst them: flippant, rude, zero customer service and frankly, somewhat incompetent. They are not responsive to what the client wants and needs, and don't take any pride in getting the job done right. We've met you and worked with you and this didn't seem to be the type of attitude you would want from your employees. And yet, it is very consistently what they are like.
We certainly won't be coming back and I thought you'd like to know. I'm glad I at least have found a good plumber to work with in the future.

We bought our home in 2006 and the previous owners of 30+ years highly recommended them for any plumbing and heating problems with the house. My water heater gave up 2 years ago and Luis came out and banged out the job. Recently I had a issue with the pilot light and no hot water, called Tromborg (7pm) and they were here no less than 15 minutes assessed the issue, replaced the faulty part all within 45 minutes. Family owned business and they treated me like family, these guys are AWESOME! If you are not using Tromborg for your heating and plumbing then you probably paid too much and got crappy service. Do yourself a favor and call them NOW if you have any plumbing or heating issues.

Nick provided very good service, very knowledgeable, also very quick when it came to getting the job done. I've had many others come out and could not get the job done. Great experience and great customer service. Highly recommend.

Why is it that plumbing problems only happen at the worst possible times? Thankfully, my neighbor recommended Joven.
From a clogged toilet (yes, I flushed the rubber tub plug) to an aged hot water heater that needed to be put out to pasture, he's here - early in the morning, on a weekend, every time I felt horribly guilty about asking him to come over. It's done right, it's done right away and it's way more affordable than I expected.
I can't imagine calling anyone else from now on.

Fast service in the Outer Richmond , reasonable prices. Installed a new toilet in 1.5 hours and cleaned a drain to my back yard after a lot of rain backed it up. I would highly recommend this company if you live by the Ocean Beach....

Good services! Experienced technician. Accurate inspiration, and got the work done fast. So far my sewage works fine!

Another customer happy with Edgar's professional work. We used him for several small jobs and he is everything the other reviewers say and more! I sure hope we don't need any more plumbing work, but if we do, we'll definitely call Pipe Arts.

It was a pleasure working w/ Luis A. He responded to my request quickly, kept up communication and when he visited the property I'm about to put up for sale, he was COVID prepared with a professional demeanor. He walked thru what repairs the Sellers needed, gave his opinion and quoted us price in the same day. He was avail to complete the job the very next day. Thank you Luis A. for taking care of my Sellers.

Joyous day- our household no longer leaks!
We first asked Zayah over to replace a pair of showerheads that were installed forty years ago and completely stuck on. He took care of us rapidly and efficiently, then took a look at the seven sinks we had that all were leaking. Based on his advice, we ordered appropriate faucets for all of them and asked him back.
That's where his work began. Our plumbing was a DISASTER. We had drains that fell apart when touched and handles that broke when turned. Significant time spent cutting out old drains, replacing angle stops, and having to go out to the local hardware store for necessary parts. (Such as the unexpectedly new drain. We'd already planned to replace four of the others and were prepared for those. Sigh.)
Zayah was amazing and worked us into his schedule as he could, especially given the expected and unexpected needs of our project. His rates are phenomenal and his work ethic top notch. We can't recommend his work enough!

United Plumbing responded promptly on a holiday and offered reasonable pricing. Erik arrived on schedule and fixed our plumbing issues efficiently and pleasantly.

We were told by our real estate agent the Harry Clark was the best but that they are pricey. I spoke with a few companies about replacing our sewer lateral. Harry Clark's estimate was $9k. Pipe Spy said it would be at least $15k. We went with Harry Clark. They were professional, did a great job, and the final bill was exactly what they said it would be.

Our water heater was making a loud booming noise every time it started heating up water. Mario came on time within his appointment window and was super helpful with troubleshooting. He gave sound and honest advice, worked with the manufacturer, and followed their instructions to relocate the pilot light. When that didn't completely fix the problem (from my reading online, this is a known problem with some of the newer Rheem water heaters), we decided to spring for a new water heater instead of trying to fix something that might potentially explode. Mario came on the same day that we called him again, and he worked quickly and efficiently to put in a new water heater, which works great. I can't recommend these guys highly enough!

Alansi's Plumbing is about as good as it gets. I have worked with several contractors and none compare to Yehia and his team. He decomissioned an old boiler for us and installed new gas lines for our furnace, as well as, installed gas lines for a gas fireplace. Alansi's Plumbing nailed every part of the job:
- Prompt with scheduling and delivering an estimate
- Showed up on time, every single day. Wore masks, shoe covers, etc.
- Communicated any changes in the job, helped problem solve with me to find the best solution
- Created a clean work environment and left the workspace clean every day
- HIGH QUALITY work. When I show people the finished job, they say the work looks awesome (who says that about gas lines?)
- Great, friendly team, and best of all fair pricing. Alansi's wasn't the cheapest but for the quality it was well worth it.
Overall a great and honest plumber. Would hire again in a second.

The best experience I've had with a plumber yet. When I initially called, they helped me troubleshoot the issue without having someone come out to save me some money. Turned out the whole garbage disposal was shot. They had someone out the next morning who came prepared with the new disposal and was done within the hour. Super professional, honest, and efficient.

HONEST!!! Michael and his son came to our house in Walnut Creek to give us a second opinion regarding a blocked sewage pipe. The roto-rooter man that first came out thought that there was some kind of structural problem with the sewer and suggested that we get a 3 inch pipe replaced under our house. Michael and his son came out and gave us a free video examination and found no problems. He and his son were very professional and honest and let us know that there was no structural problems. We had the roto-rooter guy come back out and use progressively larger cutters to completely clean out the sewer pipe. We're also following Michael's suggestion for the kids to use less toilet paper.
Thank you Advanced Trenchless, you are on the top of our list if we ever have any plumbing problems.

Had a drain back up in the basement today. Got Heise's name here on Yelp and called them. Am I glad I did!
The ever present Dave answered the phone and after doing some quick problem solving over the phone (figuring out how big a job it would be), told me someone would be there between 3 and 4 PM. Dave called back a little while later and asked if he could have someone there between 1 and 2 PM which I agreed to.
At few minutes before 1PM my dogs starting going crazy. I looked out the window and there was the plumber standing outside. Plumber was in and out in 40 minutes. I mentioned to him that I was paying for a hour of work at the minimum and asked him would mind checking an outside drain for me. He cheerfully said he would and found a tennis ball that had somehow gotten in there when the grate was off ($#@#$%$U% dogs!).
Heise's charges $120 per hour with a one hour minimum. Don't know if that is reasonable but I am happy.
To recap:
Someone actually answered the phone at the business instead of getting routed to a service.
The person spoke clear English.
Plumber showed up on time.
Plumber was pleasant.
Work got done quickly.

Pacifica's best plumber! Frank is honest, thorough, and does high quality work. He really cares about his customers; I feel very well taken care of by him. And he has always come when he says he will, I'm never left waiting. If you're looking for someone to take care of your plumbing needs, I highly recommend Frank!
