Had a beyond a plunger issue and called On-Call Plumbing & Rooter. By midday, Joven had come by, assessed the issue, and fixed it.

I didn't do any of the work, but taking a that's a lot of water headache off my list made my day.

Joven/On-Call Plumbing & Rooter is our first call for all our plumbing needs.

Never answers phone when calling and when he does he just hangs up on me. Bad service. Poor communication.

We suffered a major disaster after the big power outage this week. Our tankless water heater was hit by the power surge and it just died. We called our plumber but he said he'll refer us to Paul who's more experienced with tankless. When Paul called he said there's 2 more jobs he have to do and he'll come by the next day to check the damage. I'm not gonna say how much he quoted us less senior citizens discount, because people might lose interest on getting tankless water heater (no waiting for the water to heat up, no running out of hot water even if washer, dishwasher are on while you're taking a shower, etc etc).

We have to wait another day while he's waiting for the parts, but once he started working he didn't even take a break or take the snack  we offered them. When they're done they took all the boxes and left the place clean. After they left, I've noticed that the water temperature is kinda low for my liking so I called him to see if he could swing by the next day to fix it. Well, I'm happy to say that he was here first thing the next morning to adjust the water temperature. That's what I call excellent service. So even if my purse is crying I'm happy that we have another plumber that we can trust. Mabuhay Paul!!!

Joven inspected a leak  that was going to the garage . He said the water was coming from the shower and to re grout the tiles because the water was entering and need to be sealed. He didn't charge me for anything and save me some money! He's honest and helpful! Highly recommended!

When you buy a ~$2M house in SF you go to folks who you trust and dependable.
We moved into our new house three days ago and the worst storm arrived on the fourth day. Our lower floor space flooded.
Called in On-Call Plumbing to help with the situation and they did that.
Joven is professional, a wealth of experience/knowledge and a great problem solver.
Will use again.

Multiple drains in my house were taking forever to drain. Stumbled upon this company, and Joven was available to come on short notice on a Saturday (within 30 minutes)! So glad I found him because he was professional, quick, and efficient. He was honest with his pricing and did not overcharge me. I wanted to give him a nice tip and but he refused. Always happy to support local and small businesses and good people with good work ethic. Will call Joven again should I have any other issues.

I called On Call at 3:00p on a Saturday due to a broken drain line in my bathroom sink... he arrived less than 45 min later and gave me an estimate of 245 because there was some significant work to disassemble my old sink and get in to replace the piping... took a fair bit longer than he hoped to get it done but everything works perfectly!
He actually had trouble getting the sink basin back on level and ended up coming back Monday at my request to try to adjust it and got it all back to perfect without charging me a dime over the original 245 estimate!

Joven has been my go to plumber for the past 10 years. From dripping pipes to water heater installation he's always been reliable, honest and efficient. Maraming salamat, Joven!

I cannot say enough good things about Joven. We live in an older home with older everything and Joven always comes through, whether it's a clogged bathtub or issues with our garbage disposal. He's very responsive, honest and does a great job. Also VERY reasonably priced! We are grateful and lucky to have him just a few blocks away from us!

I called, they arrived in 1 hr, they did a great job. Drain the old water heater, removed it, cleaned the area, create new connections, installed the new water heater, and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves.... reasonable price, not a rip off, honest work.

Good rating here. But I was promised a call to my home after 3:00pm. I asked that I be called around then to let me know when the plumber would arrive.

Cancelling other business outside the home, I made sure to be here at 3:00. At 3:00, no show, no call.

I call. The plumber said, I am at my work site. How about after 6:00pm? I understand I need only a minor repair and that the plumber needed to stay where he was.

BUT .... No call to reschedule? No respect for my time? Forget it.

Joven was recommended to me from a friend at work and I am so glad she did. Over the years, Joven has helped me with issues ranging from changing faucets, fixing clogged pipes and most recently replacing a broken drain pipe. This required breaking concrete and then replacing it. Originally, I wasn't sure if Joven handled jobs this big. I am so lucky I contacted Joven. His rates for this job were significantly lower than other quotes I received.  Joven and his team worked hard and efficiently to finish the job in a timely manner.  He has extremely competitive rates and is honest and does not try to up-sell you. He tells you exactly what needs to be done, quotes a great price and gets the job done quickly and honestly. He will be my plumber for as long as he chooses to stay in business.

We just had an epic plumbing incident which impacted our shower drain. Lvl 11 emergency, and we could not find anyone that could assist us in a short period of time.

Thank goodness for Joven. Bless this man! He came over in under an hour. Not only did he solve our plumbing issue, he took his time to assist with the mess. A true professional, with so much care for his customers.

Our sump stopped working this morning and the alarm went off as it reached near the top. Joven arrived within an hour of calling, and fixed everything quickly - he showed me the BIG bag of grease he cleaned out of the pump which had been the source of the problem (kitchen sink and dishwasher is also connected via the sump).  He recommended annual inspection and service in future to avoid a very costly replacement.
Highly recommended-  fast, honest and reasonable prices, even on a Saturday.

Joven responded quickly to a quote request that I sent via Yelp on a Saturday evening, and he came to do the work the following day. He was friendly and efficient, and the final price was less than the quoted estimate. We'll definitely call him again for any future work we may need.

I needed a simple sink, garbage disposal and dishwasher install done. My father was helping me with a kitchen remodel and had to fly out unexpectedly to take care of another property. This left me without a functioning kitchen. I called two other highly reviewed companies on a Friday. The earliest someone could come out to give an estimate was Monday or Tuesday. I called Joven and he was there that evening to give me a bid and the next day to do the job. I'll definitely call him for all my plumbing needs in the future!

I needed a Plumber on Saturday and based on a review I saw elsewhere, I gave them a call. Within 3 hours he was at the house redoing the wax rings on two toilets.

He tells you the truth about the situation, doesn't try to sell you anything. They are courteous and considerate. One thing my wife noticed was they took off their shoes before entering the house and continue to do so, though it was probably inconvenient the amount of times they went in and out.

Pricing was very fair and he help to alleviate any concerns their might have been in the plumbing. I mentioned that the plunger stop lever in the tub wasn't draining all the way, he adjusted that at no additional charge.

Joven was here Sunday and got right to fixing the problem. We had a clogged drain spilling out water and weren't sure where it was coming from. He gets extra stars for being available on Sundays. Other plumbers couldn't come until Monday which I expected. But if you have a plumbing emergency which could cause water damage in your home, right away is the better answer.

Why is it that plumbing problems only happen at the worst possible times? Thankfully, my neighbor recommended Joven.

From a clogged toilet (yes, I flushed the rubber tub plug) to an aged hot water heater that needed to be put out to pasture, he's here -  early in the morning, on a weekend, every time I felt horribly guilty about asking him to come over. It's done right, it's done right away and it's way more affordable than I expected.

I can't imagine calling anyone else from now on.

After I ran into a plumbing issue on my property I called a few plumbing companies I had found on Yelp as well. Unfortunately it didn't seem as if many of them did plumbing services on Sunday & some of them you needed to schedule an appointment for an estimate.

Lets keep it plain simple & honest here, who schedules a appointment when you are having plumbing issues at you're house? I am calling because I wanted an estimate & possibly have it done the same day because we all need to use water everyday.

So I was a bit hesitant to call this company because it had no business photo & not too many reviews to read off of, but I took the chance anyways because I really didn't have another choice in the position I was in. It was well worth it because Joven is RELIABLE! He answered my call I took him my issue and he took me up front what the problem was likely leaning towards. I asked him what his rate was and if he could come in later that day to check it out and possibly change it. He informed he would show by the next hour or two because he was finish up another job in a different city.

He then showed up gave an estimate not to far off the price he gave me on the phone and changed it. The time he was from in and out my house was about an hr and a half. IMPRESSIVE!!

Not too long after the toilet was clogged because my daughter decided to throw a toy in there and flush the toilet, and so moral of the story I had to call him again, he showed and removed the toy from the clogged toilet.

Joven is my go to guy when I have issues with plumbing now & I recommend him to all my family, friends & neighbors.

Joven responded very promptly and came out on the weekend when it was convenient for me. He had very reasonable prices, and completed the job much faster than expected. I had a backed up bathroom sink he fixed, and a slow draining shower he improved. He also explained why the shower had a slow drain, which had to do with some piping when we switched from bathtub to a shower.

Overall, Joven is very knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to work with . On Call plumbing will be my go to plumbing when needed in the future. Highly recommendable !

I called On-Call pluming this morning as something was wrong with our sump pump.  All I knew was the damn thing kept running even when it was clearly empty.  We were naturally worried the pump would burn out and then sewage would spew forth in our basement.  Not a pleasant thought.  

Anyway,  I called On-Call and he said he could be here within the hour.  I was going to be out for a few hours and he graciously accommodated my schedule.  When I got back from my appointment, On-Call was waiting in my driveway.  

An hour and a half later, my sump was working once again and my leaky toilet was fixed to boot.  Once he discovered what the problem was (a broken switch), he gave me the option to replace the pump ($1200) or attach and external float that would override the broken switch ($25) which he had in his truck.  I went with the external float.  I really appreciated that he didn't push for the more expensive option that probably would have been more lucrative for him (a trip to buy the new sump, another visit to install it, etc.).  

On-Call was honest, responsive and knowledgeable and prices were reasonable.  I'll definitely call them when I have pluming issues in the future.  And when it does come time to replace that sump, you can bet I'll call On-Call to get the job done.

Joven came out on a Sunday in the rain to fix our drain which was overflowing into the garage. He came exactly when he said he'd be here (in an hour), was very courteous and had reasonable rates. Thanks so much On-Call Plumbing and Rooter! I will definitely call again the next time I need plumbing services!

His name is Joven. He is an extremely reliable and conscientious plumber. He came to my apartment. Cold call. Arrived within 35 minutes. I live in the Haight. He found parking and came directly to my front door. He fixed my clogged toilet. I had tried every remedy you can think of. Nothing worked. He took his commercial augers (snakes) and unclogged my toilet in no time. He even fixed the water level of my tank so that more water is available when I flush. He was just great AND cheap, or rather extremely reasonably priced compared to all other calls I made. He is the choice to make. I couldn't have wished for anything better. I got the perfect outcome.

Great Great Plumber. Really knows the deal. He is the real deal. Prices are 100 times better than I had expected.

Last few issues happened on a Sunday and I will always call Joven.  He's courteous and very fair-priced.  In fact, last call was because I didn't realize I pushed the dishwasher button. Hence, water filled the dishwasher and because water was pouring from that area, I thought for sure it was a leak under the faucet. Long story short, Joven came out after his family Sunday meal and immediately saw it wasn't the faucet.  And sure enough there was the water in the dishwasher.  He emptied it a waited until I was assured that there wasn't water coming from somewhere else.  (He knew there wasn't, but was being polite.)  He charged me nothing and left with good vibes and humor.  I like this person. Oh and the last job he did was a huge clog UNDER ground.  He found it and unclogged it and explained the issue. Thank you Joven!

A backyard drain backed up during a pouring rain and it looked as though sewer water would seep into a downstairs room.  Called this plumber.  He came within half an hour.  Within 20 minutes the drain was unclogged and the damage avoided.  What more can I say.  I appreciate the quick service done in a serious downpour.  The price was reasonable.

Today was our third time Joven came to do work. Still 5 stars. He is very responsive and readily available. He did great work at a very reasonable price. He is an absolute gem. We have found our guy. Will never call another plumber period.

After calling three other 24 hour emergency plumbing companies who could not come out for 20+ hours, I found Joven. He was fantastic. I called him a little after 6 pm. He was at my house in half an hour. He fixed the problem and left my sink better than when he found it. On-Call will be my first call from now on.

I called Joven after the first plumber I called was over a few hours late for our appointment. Joven was available the very next morning and he was able to get my shower cartridge replaced in less than an hour. Granted I did my homework and already had thee correct replacement part but Joven was professional and charges a fair price. I would call Joven again for my future plumbing needs.

I needed to have a handheld shower installed in a bathtub for my elderly mother, and Joven came out very quickly and did a fantastic job. He was very polite and accommodating, and great at communication via text... even sending me a photo of the finished job since I couldn't be there. I would highly recommend him. I called Joven early on a weekday morning during the last big storm because the drain in front of my house was clogged and flooding the area.  He was at my house in a snap and had the drain cleared within 45 minutes of my call despite heavy rain.  The rate was more than reasonable.  Joven saved my house from flooding before 8am and I made it to work on time!  I highly recommend On-Call Plumbing & Rooter and will definitely use them for any future plumbing needs.

Joven arrived promptly (and was understanding about it when we were a few minutes late to let him in).  We had a bathtub faucet that wouldn't turn off.  It had previously been fixed by another plumber who told us we'd have to open up the wall and rebuild the stem/valve (for a lot of money) if we wanted it to be any better.  Joven had it working great in about 30 minutes for a very reasonable price.  We'll definitely call him again.

Joven understands customer service.  We needed our shower snaked.  He did it no problems.  Then, without bening asked, he tighten the shower head which had a minor leak/was squirting from the threading.  His rates are lower than most and he appears to be a one-man operation.   Great to be able to work directly with the boss...And he is in the neighborhood.

I needed to have my garbage disposal replaced, so called a few companies, including On-Call.  Joven answered the phone and gave me a guaranteed flat rate that was very competitive (others provided a range of rates).  He showed up right on time - very prompt, was courteous, and had the repair done in about an hour.  This included some extra pipe work he did free of charge, as he felt the prior work done by another plumber wasn't up to par.

I feel confident that I have found my go to plumber here in SF.

Joven was very responsive when I called.  I needed him to fix two issues in both our bathrooms.  When he left initially there was still an issue with one of the toilets that we didn't notice right away.  I called him 10-15 minutes later and he came back immediately and worked on the problem until it was fixed.  The prices are reasonable and he is a very nice guy.

Joven is our go-to whenever we have plumbing problems.  One call and he is there when you need him.  He recently installed a water heater for us.  This was a rush job and on the weekend!  He even came by the next day to make sure that the temperature set for the water heater was set properly.  I highly recommend On-Call.
