Best Water Heater Installation in San Francisco CA
When I bought my home ten years ago I found the wiring to be totally inadequate for my needs (only 40 amps coming into the building, no modern appliances, ...) The house was built in the 1920's and still had the knob-and-tube wiring running through the downstairs.
At the height of the dot-com boom it was hard to find contractors with which you could have confidence, and Brookline Aries did all the right things up front to instill confidence: a full quote, all the insurance documentation and certifications, The upgrades were installed throughout my home, and I've been pleased with the work. John advised me when some of my requests were overkill. The work got done when he said it'd get done, complications were handled as they came along (old houses have complications), and I would totally call on Brookline Aries to do more work on my home.
In fact, a few years later, I did: a problem came up which ultimately boiled down to PG&E's connection to my home not being solid ... John diagnosed the issue, got PG&E on the case, and made sure things were done right.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. After a $10,000 misdiagnosis we were told we'd be receiving a $5,000 refund (when in reality, our entire payment should have been refunded). It's now been over a MONTH and we have yet to receive said refund. HORRIBLE management and their MVP service is a scam. Stay away from this company.

I can't recommend Eric and his team highly enough.
I spent weeks, months trying to find a shop that could handle 1) AC panel upgrade, 2) 5-6 different 120V and 240V wiring (for us to convert from gas to electric for water heater, furnace, range, dryer), 3) manage the water heater install, 4) pull all electrical, plumbing, and building permits, 5) complete the scope on time and on budget to meet permit, tax credit, and state incentive requirements.
Eric and his team were professional and responsive; on budget and thorough; checked in often on feedback and design decisions; knew every inch of existing code and upcoming code changes; and are incredibly knowledgeable about all of these different appliances and buildings, the best cost/value/environmental benefit of each.
No other shop could have put eyes on everything we were trying to do on this whole home electrification project in a complex SF permitting environment and done such a great job in managing the project and me as a client.

We needed a safety assessment and possible replacement of a recessed ceiling light after water damage. Handyman Heroes was recommended to us by a local painting company who is doing the ceiling repair and painting. Handyman Heroes immediately responded to my service request with clear expectations of service and fees. Larry (one of the founders) came to our home within 2 days. He assessed our light for safety, and repaired the light fixture. We were very satisfied with his service and professional expertise.

Great Experience with Service Champions.
During the recent heatwave we found that our air conditioning had stopped working. We had another company try to fix for us but because our unit was on our very high town home roof, a very long ladder was needed and they said they could not access so declined our business.
Service Champion had Ben & Jeff come for the repair. First we received a text alerting us they were on their way, the text included a photograph of the technician which we found very useful. They arrived on time and were both very friendly and polite and diagnosed our problem easily.
Turns out our unit was 27 years old and could be fixed but to bring up to current standards would be expensive, so we decided to replace both our air conditioning and furnace(also 27 years old).
Scott came to our home that very evening and explained our options and was also very professional and we felt very comfortable with our decision to use Service Champions.
Our installation took place within the week, Andreas and Todd worked throughout the day, they required the use of a crane since our unit was on the roof, which Service Champions coordinated.
All in all, our experience was top notch and we would recommend them highly.

Being home for nearly half a year due to the COVID pandemic had me itching to take care of all those home repairs/upgrades I've been putting off. I called and spoke with Damon who has a great sense of humor. He fielded my many questions and concerns and throughly explained the charges. I received the estimate and once approved Carlos and his crew of sons came within the week and upgraded our home beautifully!
They installed two ceiling fans, changed 4 light fixtures, repaired some bum outlets, removed my microwave and installed a shelf in its place per my request, installed a new garbage disposal switch, added a motion detector light outside of my home, cut a cabinet to add space for my new taller fridge and I have them coming back to install a ceiling fan in the living room.
They were efficient, safe and in masks the whole time. They also did a pretty good job cleaning up after themselves and disposing of the old materials i no longer needed. My only suggestion would be to get boot covers for their shoes as an extra safety and sanitary precaution.
They changed my outlook on contractors being flakey. I'll definitely use them for future home repairs and recommend them to my local fam and friends!!

Hired Mike to add a wall with a door to our son's room. Had a few minor electrical needs as well as some ceiling patching as well. We were really happy with the process and the results of working with Mike. Given the work was being done in our kid's room, we were really concerned with keeping the job site clean and he took our concerns seriously and went out of his way to make sure our needs were meant.
Will definitely use him again for future projects around the house and highly recommend him.

Had a water heater issue today and called Ongaro at 8am, told them I had a leak that needed attention, and they arrived at 1. Problem fixed quickly and efficiently by Scott. Appreciate the quick service!

Ted is not only a super cool dude, he is very thorough and reliable. He does his work quickly and most efficiently without skimping on quality. We hired Ted to come by and fix our janky light fixture that was placed by our homes previous owner, and all I can say is that I wish Ted was hired for that job in the very beginning!
Extra 10 stars for his co-worker, Kiwi!

The technician didn't finish the diagnostic before providing a quote and then charged a few hundreds of dollars for just resetting a circuit.

Very efficient, easy to schedule, responsive. Phil did a great job. Detail oriented. Fairly priced. Would use again.

Our main fuse was not functional and half of the house didn't have any power including our well. We didn't have power for well pump either. Alex came and diagnosed the problem. Since the panel was old, it wasn't easy to find the breaker. He found it in Modesto. Found someone local to pickup the part before the store closed. Drove from Los Gatos to Modesto to pickup the part. And drove back the same day to install the part very professionally. The process took more than 8 hrs and he had a very reasonable ask for compensation. I would hire him again.
