I gave 2 stars because for most systems they may be fine - but if you have a mini-split don't bother - they don't know what the are doing.

I've had Sky Heating here to do routine maintenance checks on two mini-split systems before.  They checked both systems in April 2017.  One of the systems stopped working in early August, during those triple-digit hot days.  The cooling cycle stopped, the fan quit, and the system just hummed.  I called Sky for service & they set me up for an appointment late that day.

They sent the same technician as always, who seems like a nice guy.  When I turned the system on, the cooling cycle started just as it should.  The technician opened the machine, looked at the filters, held a thermometer up & said well, it's cooling...  Then he told me he doesn't know anything about mini-splits.  Said just let it run and if it acts up again, call back & he will have to call the factory which is on the east coast - it was too late to call them that afternoon.

He left, and a few minutes later the machine stopped cooling and went back to humming.  I called Sky & got their answering service, since by then the office was closed.  I left a message for the technician, telling him the system shut off again.  I asked him to contact me, and to please call the factory in the morning.  I waited all the next morning, but never heard back from Sky.  I called Pyramid Heating later that day (see my review of Pyramid Heating).

It appears that when Sky was doing 'maintenance' on my mini-splits, they did not know enough about them to do it right.  I should have asked what training they have on these systems - my mistake.  If you have mini-split AC units, don't bother calling Sky Heating.

If there were 10 stars I would have clicked that.  I reached out this morning before Sutherland was opening about our hot water being out and Ti reached out to me within minutes of them opening for the day.  He sent and email and a text and we were able to work out a time for him to come same day, as they just had a cancellation.  I had no idea what to expect, but Ti was prompt and arrived exactly when he said he would.  

He went right to the water heater, assessed and walked me step by step what was going on and what my options would be.  Not once did I feel pressure to fix the issue at that point but Ti was knowledgable, extremely professional, friendly and I could tell he wasn't just trying to make a buck off me.  I trusted his advise and had him install a new water heater.  He called in the calvary and they got right to work.  Sean, John and John arrived and were very respectful of my home, asking for permission to check faucets, bathrooms, and helped talk me through every step they were going through.  They even went and got a new pan for me because my current one didn't fit the new model.  

I didn't wake up expecting to have to go through all of this, but I'm glad I did my research and found Ti and his team.  I don't usually write a ton of reviews but I couldn't let this go unnoticed.  Their professionalism and customer service is second to none.  Thank you Ti, Sean, John and John I couldn't be happier with my experience.

Our toilet got clogged late in the night. I called Kevin the next morning. He came over quickly, fixed it, and gave me some good advice, taking the time to explain to me how the system works. Also, the price was reasonable and he made himself available if anything else happened after the fix. 5 stars

If I could rate it lower, I would. We recently had our kitchen remodeled. Our Contractor subbed the plumbing work to Simpson Plumbing. They came in did their part of work and left. Kitchen was completed. During this period of time and for a couple months after the remodel the weather was good..mostly sun. We did have a shower or two...One evening I noticed a leak in my basement (bedroom). Watched very closely, did not notice the leak again (until it rained) I noticed some discolored area's on my ceiling, pushed on it...caved in (sheet rock was wet) Had mold all over the wall, insulation was wet. Called the contractor, who called the Plumber. Plumber came out...was not our fault...we did nothing wrong well we googled mold and found it actually grows pretty quickly. In any case, our contractor tore everything apart (which included removing cabinets in the kitchen) and in the process found the issue. Vent on roof, comes down to sink...there is a point where it comes to a T and the 2 ends were clamped together (were supposed to be) there was a hose clamp on one side...BUT was not tight other side, no hose clamp. They also ran a water line from the source to my refrigerator and just laid it in the floor, did not secure it to anything. In my opinion, and the opinion of my contractors employee's the plumbing was half ass at best. I would NOT recommend hiring this Plumber, as the work is sub par, and then when called on it it's not our fault. NOT eligible for rehire !!

Kevin did a great job! He responded within minutes of my request for a quote--he even suggested i call 3 other plumbers for quotes, which I did and he was right: his price was the same or less then all three I called. He was able to come out, confirm the quote and have a new hot water heater installed THAT DAY. I'm sure not all days are that open and we got lucky, but he was great and we are thankful! He answered all our questions thoroughly and brought our new hotwater heater up to code--where the old one wasn't as well as changed out the stand in sits on for a new metal one. I would definitely use him again!

I always always use these guys. Except recently, I almost cheated on them with somebody else and I feel horrible about it. Ultimately, I came back to these guys to get the job done. I don't know what I was thinking even considering somebody else.

This was the first time I had worked with their guy named Justin. He is top notch, just like everybody else they have. In particular, Justin's emotional intelligence in terms of explaining the job was fantastic.  You know, plumbing jobs can sometimes induce sticker shock, but he was able to keep me level headed.  With that said, their estimate turned out to be in line, and even better, than the other estimates I received.  

There's just simply nobody else I'm gonna call going forward whenever I need plumbing done. Being able to trust these guys just puts my wife at ease.

Right on time, friendly, quick service. Our job was small (clogged kitchen sink) but I didn't burn the day waiting around for someone to show--great service.

Also made recommendations how to prevent the clog in the future.

We had some time sensitive work that needed to be done both before and after we moved into our home.  Brad was super responsible and able to fit us in when we needed him.  He came back several times too, because we needed things done in stages.  Then, a few months after we moved in we had terrible phantom noises in our master bath that woke us up at night.  Brad was able to find the problem immediately and repair it quickly, and fairly expensively.  On top of that, Brad is a decent, pleasant, nice guy that I felt totally comfortable having in my home.  Customer service is important to me and Brad delivers.  I highly recommend him and will be hiring him again for all my plumbing needs.

Austin @ myplumberllc is simply a great choice for a plumbing service! We are leasing a large house and our upstairs shower has a leak that is traveling down and leaking out of the ceiling downstairs! Yikes! Austin was professional and knowledgeable in finding the leak. He knew what it probably was, but still thoroughly checked out every other possibility. Yes, what he though it was, after so many years of experience was definitely what he thought it was.;-) The owners of this house are going to go with the inexpensive and not 100% fix but oh well, their house. If the real 100% fix is needed, which is going up through the ceiling to replace the cracked drain, I hope that they choose Austin & his company because he will do it and do it right! If it was our decision, we would choose differently, but again, not our house. Do yourself a favor and go with Austin and My Plumber the 1st time. 5 Stars.;-)

I had a warranty replacement of a garbage disposal by a different company. The technician from that company informed me I had several leeks in the plumbing, so I hired Local Plumbing to fix the drain. Will came out and after examining, explained that the disposal was installed incorrectly. I contacted the warranty replacement company and they refused to fix the improper installation. Will was nice enough to conference call that company with me so that we could determine what was wrong. The other company acknowledged that they did NOT follow the installation instructions and still refused to fix the installation. Will went back out and fixed everything at no additional charge to me, even though it wasn't his mistake that caused the leaks. He even did an extra unrelated leak repair (in the faucet) without charging me. Local Plumbing obviously has a focus on customer satisfaction, and they will do whatever it takes ensure that satisfaction.
While we were figuring out whose problem the leaks were, I was starting to loose it a bit (this could have held up the sale of my home) and I wasn't totally polite to Will, but he still stepped up and took care of everything being totally polite, professional and courteous the whole time. He even explained how the appliance install technician may not have know some of the proper steps because he is not a plumber.
I can not thank Will and the team at Local Plumbing enough!

Chris provided fast service and addressed our multiple requests (shower drip, running toilet, broken hose bib) with aplomb. He even kept my energetic 6-year-old entertained, answering all his questions. We are a repeat customer and intend to keep it that way.

My tenant reported that the shower handle broke off and was not able to turn off the water. I reached out to several plumbers to get this issue looked at. Zak responded very quickly, and though he was booked out for sometime, he told me what he thought the problem was. It was indeed what he said it was and I was able to fix the problem on my own. Thanks Zak!

We have used Ron for years.  Phenomenal personal and professional service! Ron always gives us options and walks us through the pros and cons of each.  We just had an urgent issue with our furnace while my Husband and I were out of town and my Mother was watching our children.  Ron was there within an hour and had the problem fixed.  

I never worry about being upsold services or products we don't need and their prices are extremely fair for the work they perform.  I HIGHLY recommend them!!!

I recently had a complete sewer line installed at my
home. Black Rock had been highly recommended by
top producing realtor friends in Portland. Their bid was
concise, the work was performed on schedule and
responses to questions were immediate

Installation was on an extremely rainy day with it being
necessary to bring a backhoe across a very soggy lawn.
They properly protected the lawn and cleaned the entire
area, including the street, at completion.

My standards are very high and they met, or exceeded, all!

First time user. The service was good. The cost was twice what they quoted. Be aware, the clock is running from the time the hydro vac truck leaves their yard until it returns! I will check other options on future projects.

Did chose this company because. We need to replace a gas hot water heater.

1. They quoted us $6,000. We didn't bite...

2. Then they quoted us $4,000. We still didn't bite...and got rid of the employee.

We went with another company for $2,000. Through Home Depot.

Then Apollo bombarded us with emails acting as if we were going to hire them...
