Best Electric Furnace Repair in Portland OR
Quick in response, immediate with delivery. Very happy with Sky's process, and the two Matts who repaired my electrical and detailed next steps so I can prioritize and budget.

We had a leak coming from an upstairs bathroom so we needed someone to come asap. Luckily Cornel's helped find us a same day opening so they could get the water turned off and the problem diagnosed. Each step of the way they kept me informed and provided a few different options for how we could proceed. The options were also sent to me in writing so I could agree to the specifics, see the prices, and ultimately sign for the option I wanted to pursue. Loved the transparency and the workmanship.

I had noise and leak issues with two toilets. I have had other plumbers/handymen out to fix, but Christensen actually fixed both problems. I am very pleased. Luke and Jake, two of the youngest plumbers I've ever had, were polite, well-informed and fixed both problems. Great job!!

I used yelp to get a few quotes and Green Box just made the process easy. Sarah always answered the phone, which was refreshing (most electrical outfits you are always leaving messages.)
They were able to have Mike come out next day (instead of booking something weeks out). He figured out the problem in just a few minutes. Will definitely use Green Box again.

The February ice storm damage the grate on the top of my AC unit. Essentially ,the fan was hanging and inoperable. I asked for this company to come out and do an assessment and diagnose/fix the problem. There was an appointment available next day, a technician showed up, looked at the unit and said it was broken. This took 15 minutes at most. I was charged $119.00 and was left with no diagnostics or ideas what was happening with the unit. I received a bid for $2500. This included a $75 part ordering fee and some other suspect charges. I called to inquire and was told that they would not know what was wrong with the unit until they got new the top grate installed. I asked, if I used them for the fix would the $120 that I paid go towards the bill? Their answer was no. So I paid $120 for a bogus bid and, at most, 20 minutes of work. I called on a competitor to come and give me an assessment and bid. This company charged me $99. This charge will be reduced to the bill shall I use them to fix. This company also called Lennox and found out that my unit was under warranty. I was very impressed with the competitor and extremely unimpressed with Central Air Heating and Cooling. I do not recommend doing business with this company. It was like throwing $120 into a fire pit.

These guys were amazing. Came out promptly, even during the pandemic and insane air pollution due to the local fires. Both guys were masked up, very professional and helpful. Cleared out the drain issues we were having. Thank you so much Apollo, especially Danny Polk and Cameron Cooper.

Roth was recommended to me by a co-worker who had nothing but good things to say, so I thought I'd give them a try.
I called and explained exactly what I needed to be done. The individual I spoke with was friendly and seemed on top of things, took good notes and read them back to me, so I was confident that they knew what I needed and would be able to communicate that to the technician that would be coming out to my house to give me an estimate on the work.
The technician comes, goes over the notes, and I explain what I'm looking for in more detail. Then the technician tells me that's not really the kind of work they do and charges me $.00 for the consultation. He did work up an estimate for me, but it was clear it was not work they wanted or would really be willing to do.
I feel Roth had multiple opportunities to understand what I was asking for, and determine that it was not in the scope of their practice prior to the consultation... prior to me having to take an afternoon off work, and prior to charging me $90.00 for nothing.
Smells like bad business practices to me, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
UPDATE:
Wow! Thanks for that dismissive explanation, great five-star customer support.

I totally understand Roth sending a technician out is an expense to your company... one you clearly don't want to consider the cost of doing business. And yes, the $89 fee was explained to me up front (I never said it wasn't), and I was fine paying it assuming Roth was going to make an honest attempt to fill my need.
I don't think you understand the source of my frustration. The technician clearly stated to me this is not the type of work Roth typically does. And as I also previously stated, yes, I was provided a quote. A quote that was $2000 dollars more than the next highest estimate I got for the same work, sending me the message that it is clearly not work Roth wanted.
So again, my frustration is still the fact that Roth had at least two opportunities to tell me this is not work they wanted and instead they charged me $89 to waste my time.

Needed 5th wheel inspection and fixes for anything found and had left messages at 5 different businesses without a single return call. I found Reeds and left a message which was promptly returned that same pm with appt scheduled for the following week. What a gem this young man is! very courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and his work ethic cannot be topped. His initial quote for services was very reasonable and the final bill was a very pleasant surprise ( $250 less) due to his diligence in finding problem, fixing it, and moving along very quickly. I am very pleased with the workmanship, integrity, honesty and professionalism of Mr. Geoff Reed. Will recommend him to everyone and keep his info for my personal use also.

Our furnace stopped working late on a winter evening. I called several HVAC repair places but only found one that would answer the phone after 8 pm. Sky answered my call with a human and sent out a technician the next morning. Spencer, our technician was very knowledgeable, communicative, and respectful of our home. He answered every question I had with a helpful attitude. We highly recommend Sky for HVAC maintenance and repairs.

My review is on the huge difference in pricing between companies, we didn't end up using them.
We had Cornel out to price a job for us - they quoted something around $850 and told us it could take 1-2 hours or less.
I had another company out today who fixed our problem for $380.
Pretty big difference.
And they charge $50 for coming to look at the issue - I've never had a good experience with companies that do that and wouldn't have minded but for something that was about 1-1.5 hour fix, minimal cost on parts (I know because I know what parts were needed and their cost)...I mean come on.

These guys saved the day and we're honest and helpful. The cold snap froze our hot water pipes. They came quickly and insulated the pipes. Well, that wasn't enough we found out because the next day the pipes froze again. PMC sent another technician (Eric who is awesome) who smartly proposed the correct and final solution to put heat tape on the pipe. I was concerned that PMC would charge me for 2 visits but they didn't. Nick the manager proposed a reasonable billing solution. Thank you Ben, Eric and Nick for your efforts!

I made an appointment nearly two weeks ahead of time for installation of a dishwasher and sink faucet. Called the day prior and asked to add 2 slow drains to the to-do list and was assured no problem. Travis showed up on time, but things went downhill from there. He said the scheduler didn't allot him enough time to do the job, and that he would have to reschedule for the following week. My husband asked him to just do the original request (dishwasher & sink faucet), however he declined and said he didn't have enough time for those. Phone calls back and forth solved nothing. Travis left after giving us an estimate for $1,300 - which is totally outrageous for this scope of work. He estimated the time to be 5-6 hours, which is well over $200/hour. It's very clear he simply didn't want to do the job - very frustrating as I now have a new dishwasher sitting in my home awaiting installation.
