Best Backflow Services in Bakersfield CA
We have used Advanced Plumbing for all our plumbing needs since we moved to Bakersfield. Technician Chris Moore is very experienced and knowledgeable. He has repaired our dish washer, replaced our garbage disposal and maintained and serviced our tankless water heater. and bathroom fixtures. We have always been very satisfied with his service.

We had a 75 gallon water heater changed out after it had leaked very badly , flooding our unfinished basement area.
We callEd Carroll Plumbing and Maintenance on a Friday night and they were able to hook us up with cold water for the night. That after hours plumbing cost $393.75, which was fine.
My complaint is with the installation of the water heater.
Water Heater(Rheem GN 75 Low Nox Heater-R75GN75-125)...........$2250.00
Laborer-------3.5 hr. 65.00/hr. ..........................................................$227.00
Plumber #1--4.75 hr. 105.00/hr.........................................................$498.75
Plumber #2---3.5 hr. 105.00/h............................................................$367.50
Various parts, flex, &solder..........................................................................$187.16
Tax....................................................................................................................$188.88
------
$3,719.29
$3,719.29 is a lot to pay for a replacement water heater, but that is not my complaint. Things are expensive these days and the charges aside from those mentioned below are at least plausibl.
My complaint is that a laborer, whose main task was to help the two plumbers take the new water heater from the truck to the site and take the old water heater back to the truck was billed for 3.5 hours. This distance from our driveway to the water heater site is about 70-80 ft. and has a door with ample width where the water heater must be lifted over the lower edge.
When I called Carroll Plumbing and Maintenance they stated that it was perfectedly reasonable that it would take him 3.5 hours to help move the water heater and that the laborer had, indeed, spent 3.5 hours helping move the water heater. I do not find this credible.
It also seems excessive to spent 8.25 hours of plumbers time to change out a single water heater.

I've used John the plumber at least five times over the last few years. Always responsive, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Reasonable price on all the jobs, and a 10% discount for seniors.

So my renters called and said carpet in master bedroom is soaking wet. I figured it was coming from the guest bathroom bathtub because it on the other side of the wall where wet carpet was. I had prior problems with drain getting loose and leaking water so I made sure to tell the roto rooter technician Ben to check the tub drain. He called me and left voicemail saying he checked drain and that's not the problem it's all dry under there and he has to knock down wall between bedroom and tub to find problem and it would be 1100$ to rip down wall and find issue and depending on issue it will be more. I said I'll hold off and I went to house and took off panel and looked at tub drain and it was soaked under there and I turn on tub water and sure enough it's leaking. So I go buy a $30 drain and fix it myself. Then I called manager Brandon to telll him about experience and I even emailed him videos and copies of bens voicemails saying he checked drain and it's dry and he needs to rip in wall and will cost thousand. He offered to go to rental and double check my work but never went and never called me back. I have videos, pictures and copies of voicemails showing technician was going to start ripping into walls and charging me thousands when issue was a $30 fix like I had told him and he lied to me. SHADY PLACE DONT USE THEM

Was really hoping to write a positive review got my septic tank pumped $400 with no problem whole family very pleasant and helpful thought all was well then my shower was still backed up and told that happens when the septic tank was full fine got it snaked $75 let Alex know my pit was still filling up flowing down the street after being pumped at this point was informed there is no warranty on the work I had done and it's because I didn't want to spend an extra $150 for chemicals in the tank which I'm not understanding how a septic tank that takes normally takes 3 years to fill is filling after 1 week so I'm back to square 1 out of $475 and still having a swamp in my front yard not to mention the smell was hoping for a different more accommodating outcome being $475 is a lot of money in my life to still have the same problem I was hoping would be fixed as I paid for a service that obviously wasn't satisfactory
As to your response we can go back and forth with this but I know what was said at the time and Alex referred to the sludge at the bottom and chemicals for $150 would take care of that at no time was any mention of any major repairs needed but whatever statement makes you feel better about the situation is fine with me as I know what you told me at the time wish the outcome would've been better as I have no reason to lie I as I am the one who paid for the service in full just hoping for a better outcome and resolution

Jason was great and would definitely recommend! He was very patient with all of my questions and let me know well in advance when he had to help with an emergency service and had to reschedule. Great communication, which was much appreciated.
When he arrived he got right to work repairing our toilet and installing hammer arrestors and valves on our washing machine. He was very quiet and accommodating since I was working from home and on the phone. Repairs were done quickly and he cleaned up after himself when he was done. Price was definitely reasonable. Thank you!

Absolute trash.
I was given a window of 4 hours for their company to stop by. I expressed that I'd be working during this time and I asked if I can receive a call 30 minutes prior to their arrival so that I have time to leave work. They show up (with no call), I cannot immediately leave work and then they charge me their $45 consultation fee because their representative came out.
Not a good way to do business. Absolute trash.

I did not have a good experience with Bakersfield plumbing. First, we asked our rental agency to send someone to fix a leak under the kitchen sink. They came out and said they needed to order a part. It took a month before they came back. Meanwhile the wood under the sink got all damp and damaged.
Second, we asked them to come repair a toilet that was running. They came once to fix it, but we had them come back because it was doing the same thing. The second time they put on a new handle and tank. Unfortunately it still kept running AND the handle wasn't screwed on properly AND he left the chain too long so the only way we could flush it was to hold the handle down or take the lid of the tank off. The last two problems led to the brand new handle breaking. They came out a 3rd time and replaced the handle and shortened the chain. Finally, it stopped running! Then, we get a bill from our rental agency saying that the plumber determined that the handle was broken by force and saying we had to pay the $100 bill. Ridiculous!
I will never do business with them again.

Can't say enough good things about this company. Plumbing problems aren't usually scheduled the problem always occurs on a weekend or a holiday. Our problems are no exception! Recently we called hometown, our go to plumber for years, to our home Christmas Eve morning. Steven and his crew were here within an hour, had the problem diagnosed and the part ordered immediately. Although we had to wait longer than normal (holidays everything is closed) Brentt made sure to keep our hot water heater running as efficiently as possible until the new part arrived. He was here well after dark in the cold making sure we had hot water and even offered to make multiple visits to our home to rig our hot water heater so that it would not go out while we waited a few extra days for the part! THAT is customer service!!!
Thank you.
Thank you.

I was looking for a plumber to fix my mom's chimney leak when I came across Prodigy Flow Plumbing. I sent a message through Yelp and Kevin replied with his phone number. I sent him a text and provided him our info. Within the hour he showed up at my mom's to check her leak and ended up fixing it on the spot. He did a great job and my parents are happy enjoying the fire during this cold weather. Thank you Kevin!

Excellent Service. We called for service and Tommy's team responded swiftly, efficiently and provided quality service. They are now in our call first list for plumbing needs.

Absolutely the best Service. Called and showed up within a few hours. Affordable and reliable . I highly recommend them and will call again in the future if ever the need be. They unclogged a stubborn kitchen drain, and told me how to take care of it on a monthly basis to prevent such problems later!!

I had these guys out a couple weeks ago to get my heater ready for winter. Steven came out and did an excellent job. He cleaned the what ever they are called on the back of my refrigerator while he was there even though he wasn't there for that. Said my fridge will run more efficient and save me a few bucks. I'm all for that! Was on time, like the name would indicate lol, and did a good job.

in reply to their 'fabricated' response, first I would like to note, that only a wk later I went to change the filter in my AC unit and the 'inside' of the AC unit was absolutely FILTHY!!...something that i never experience with any prior service visit!....so this 'newbee' they sent me did absolutely nothing regarding 'cleaning/servicing' my unit....so not only does this person have no brains...as you can read below (to stand right in front of a sign posted on my back door that says 'no back door access...use front door ONLY, yet he doesn't bother knocking at the FRONT door...like NORMAL people would...and just is ready to drive off!), but he is the laziest service rep I have ever dealt with (and this owners(?) stating there were prior issues with other service visits are fabricated...i never had ANY issues with ANY other service reps in all the years of doing business with this co......makes me think this 'lazy newbee' was some relative of someone in the co.!). Anyway, GLAD TO BE RID of suck an UNPROFESSIONAL service!
this was my husband's reply to owner(s) letter of cancellation, that gave us no reason as to why cancelling (and now only getting a fabricated one!):
on the June service visit here, my wife informed me that the driver went to the back door instead of the front (where on the Back door a large sign is clearly posted stating: Use Front Door ONLY - Back Door is NOT Accessible, and that sign is not only directly on the back door, but also on the Front of the house that one can clearly SEE as you MUST walk by it to get to the back door, yet your service rep chose to just ignored these signs). Since the back door cannot be opened, my wife waited for him to READ the signs, and come to the front door, instead he got into his truck and she heard him starting to drive away! She had to immediately run outside in her stocking feet to be able to stop him in time from leaving, so naturally she was upset asking why he can't read signs, and why he wouldn't 'naturally' come around to the front door? He had nothing but excuses that made zero sense....saying: 'didn't know if you still wanted the appointment', and 'I didn't see a car so thought no one was home' (... really?? that was his 'excuse' for being too lazy to knock on the front door?...we only own ONE car, and it's what gets me to my job, so WHY would there necessarily be another car in the driveway?), plus who automatically goes to a back door of a house they've never been to, instead of knocking on the FRONT?
My wife said nothing more to him after hearing such ridiculous excuses (thinking there was something wrong with this guy -plus he later was irritated because he had to use the FRONT door when coming in and out, due to the back door being unusable)...which was never an issue for all the service people we had prior, and who KNEW their job and were very nice as well (re: there was NEVER ANY issues when these service people were here, like this owner NOW is fabricating). So my wife just waited for him to do the cleaning, and she even asked him if he wanted a cold drink or water, because it was so hot that day, and he had to be outside part of the time. That is 'hardly' the basis of someone being 'unfriendly on multiple occasions', as you claim, (rather, from his actions, this is obviously a man who doesn't like his job).
She also told me, after he finally was done, that it appeared (re: being the 'only logical explanation' of his actions/comments) that you sent some newbie out this time round (instead of the regular guys we had before) because this one spent most of his time on the phone asking for advice, so this would also explain his apparent laziness to just want to immediately drive off, instead of even coming to the front door in the first place. I suggested she file a complaint about him to the company, and she declined and said that maybe he'd get his 'act' together for the next customer, so what good would complaining about it do anyway - he'd only deny it all (which I can see now by your canceling our service, is exactly what he did). She told me she even thanked him when he left, which is something I certainly wouldn't have bothered doing, after his urgency to just drive off on her in the first place.
So if that is how you do business, by stressing out customers via sending out people who don't know what they are doing, who are in such a hurry to not want to do the job they were booked for, and who apparently aren't even happy with their job in the first place (instead of sending us the 'regular/educated' service guys who came before - they are the ones who don't just try to drive off' but instead take the time to read the posted sign(s) & use logic by going to the Front door ...not a person's Back door, which isn't even the norm when coming to someone's house, especially for the first time) , then we certainly don't want to 'give' you our business either, and we will certainly advise others to avoid your services at all cost

AMAZING!
Called around for quotes and Titan Plumbing not only, 1) had the best price! (And that was before they currently had a promotion going on, so even better!) But 2) they were the only ones who were eager to have someone come out that same day or work with your schedule!!!
They showed up early, had face masks on and very polite! Luis and Carlos took a look at my water heater and right away could tell what was the issue was just based off what I explained what was wrong. I appreciate a company and their employees that aren't trying to hike up the prices and get a much as they can! They could have gone with the more expensive route but seen a better solution that wasn't going to cost me hundreds of dollars!!! I now have hot water again and it took them less than 30 minutes to fix my water heater! WOW! Thank you Luis and Carlos!!!! Couldn't have had a better experience!!!!!

The people are nice but are very disorganized. The company wants you to log your needs on their webpage, but then they don't get back to you. After 2 or 3 days I would call a second time and then receive a call back. The company would then someone out to see what needed to be done...then you'd have to wait a day or so to find out the estimate. Then you would have to wait for them to come and do the job. I've been trying now for 9 days to have some work done to no avail. This small company needs to get out and do the work within 48 hours.....
