Pipe was broken and leaking under sink. Advanced plumbing came out and fixed the issue and even found a less expensive way to do. Tech was friendly and very helpful. We contacted Advanced Plumbing to repair the refrigerator water line. We were able to get an appointment for the very next day. Ryan showed up right on time. Ryan looked at the plumbing problem behind my refrigerator told me exactly what the job would cost to repair. Ryan fixed the line to my refrigerator wWeater system the same day and it has been working perfectly. The bill was exactly as quoted. No one wants to need a plumber but when you do choose Advanced Plumbing Service! We had an attic copper line leak that presented on the ceiling drywall. While others couldn't come for days, Advanced Plumbing came same day, went into the attic to fix (so our drywall didn't have to be cut) and got the job done right. While turning off the main water valve so I could fix a sprinkler zone stuck in the on position, the valve on the main water line into the house broke in the off position; no water to the house. Advanced Plumbing was able to get me into their schedule for the next morning. Had to replace the whole main water line from the meter to the house. (House was built in 1945!) Not an inexpensive repair, but needed to be done. They even had to work in the rain, but got it done in half a day. Now I have a reliable ball-valve for the main shutoff instead of the old-style gate valve. They even installed a cutoff valve for the front yard sprinkler zones. Nice work! Thanks!

again and again this company never ceases to impress. Sunday our water heater pilot was acting up again. My husband was able to re-light it but Monday it went out again. He called our plumbing heroes and as usual they came out same day. Ryan, who does our Annual Check and has extra-ordinary talent, within 5 minutes gave an assessment and options. We decided to go new. He called the office, they dropped it off, and within the hour it was installed. I didn't even hear any noise. 6yr warranty :-):-):-):-). Never has any other company treated us with such professional kindness. They are Advanced in every way!

I had a water spot developing in the ceiling of the bottom floor of my home. I new our master bathroom was above the spot, but didn't know how water was leaking from there. I feared the worst, that my bottom floor ceiling was going to have to be all ripped out to find the leak. I looked online, saw they were highly rated and had good reviews so I called around 9 am. When I called it sounded like it might be the next day until they could get to me. I explained because the leak was coming from our master bathroom I didn't fell comfortable running any water from that area so we weren't able to use it. To make a long story short, they came out that afternoon, found the problem, and was able to fix it right then. To make sure there wasn't any other leaks, they did have to cut out a small area in the ceiling, so I will have to get that fixed. But there wasn't any other choice for him. To end I would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

I scheduled an appointment and it was getting closer to the end of the time frame so i decided to call. Keep in mind i am waiting for 2 hours because i had to make sure to be there. So I called and They told me there was still 5 min left for my time frame(11-1)and to call after they have been well past their time frame. I called them 45 min after the scheduled time frame and they told me it was a scheduling error.Ridiculous. They could not have anyone come over today or the next so I would have to wait an extra 2 more days. I decided to just call elsewhere.

We have had a multitude of problems with our master bathroom and have finally decided that the toilet is haunted. A plumber from another company came out twice and the problem not only persisted but got worse. We finally decided to call Advanced Plumbing based on reviews here and are we glad we did! They were very fast, but that caused them to do some damage. I complained, but no response. If you are considering re-piping, please find another plumber. The inspection was a joke! Hole in Master Bath ceiling, exhaust vent left hanging out of ceiling. That's for starters, there was more. Be careful if you hire these guys. They are fast, but make mistakes.

I have been using Advance Plumbing for years and I can honestly say they have been there for me and my business when it counted most. As an example, I am in the restaurant business and our busiest days of the year are Valentine's Day and Mother's Day...both on Sundays this year. We had just installed a new piece of equipment and on both of these incredibly busy days the new equipment went down...go figure!! But a quick call to Advance and we had someone there quickly to swap out equipment to get us going again before we opened for business.

Their staff is always professional and friendly. Whether finding a leak in a wall, replacing piping, fixtures or a water heater, they always get the job done in a timely manner and with a smile on their face!! I know I can count on Jim and his employees...they rock!!!

I was gathering quotes for installing a new water heater. Ryan with APS was very competitive with pricing, but moreover, he thoroughly explained the difference in models, suggested a brand and told me why it was the best for our needs.

When came time for installation, he was prompt again, and very efficient. We almost forgot he was here as he was very quiet and cleaned as he went along.

Our Water heater was just not doing the job well. I contacted the well known big box store, that shall remain nameless, and got a rediculously high quote for installation, so I called advanced. It was a great experience, I made an appointment two guys showed up, we discussed the issue and concluded it needed to be replaced ( which I was already pretty sure was needed), and they got to work.
They were very professional, worked fast and cleaned up well, with a price way below what the other place quoted me.

I contacted Advanced Plumbing Service a month or two ago as my fairly new water heater kept shutting off. A technician came right out and was able to let me know the issue (same issue that two different plumbing companies told me). He advised of my options and also gave me an estimate on a new water heater if I chose to go that route. Last week my water heater shut off again and I decided to contact Advanced Plumbing Service to have them replace the water heater. They scheduled the appointment immediately (was able to come out the same day but I was unavailable) and stuck to their previously quoted price which I thought was fair. What I like about this company and why I recommend them is that they are reliable, professional, and work with your schedule. I also feel that they are honest and will not tell you something untrue just to make a sale. I now feel confident that my new water heater will not keep shutting off and on like the previous one. I will be using Advanced Plumbing Service in the future.

I have used Advanced Plumbing for several different jobs on our house. Everything from the swimming pool back fill on and off valve, to a new water heater to fixing a leak under the sink.

The work and service experience is always top notch. I have said this to them and I'll say it here, I am a life time customer with them because of my experience with them to date.

I know we use to look for handyman to do jobs but their price was never much better and they were never licensed and insured. Very little reward with a lot of risk. Advanced Plumbing gives me the security with a reasonable price. I even sign up as a diamond club member to enjoy the benefits of that.

If you want a job done correctly and have a great professional experience for a great price; call advanced plumbing you won't regret the smart choice.

Living in an older home with original plumbing, we have had more than a few occasions to require plumbing services. Out of the several companies we've tried, we have had the most success with Advanced.

We most recently (11/02) had a severe back-up in the kitchen sink, and nothing we tried ourselves would clear it. We called Advanced, and Sabir came out the same day, toward the beginning of the 2 hour window we were told to expect him. He was professional but very friendly, informative, and got the job done and trouble cleared up quickly. (Just sorry he had to work in the rain, even though he said he didn't mind!)

A plumbing company that's on time, finishes the job efficiently, and have good attitudes...? I'll be recommending them to friends and family who need a good service.

Our water heater, which was at least 20 years old, started leaking badly and needed to be replaced. We had a gas leak with our drier and hot water heater in an older home we moved in SoCal gas came and shut off our gas. We were stressed no heat or hot water. Called advanced plumbing they didn't have anything immediately available but Lana fit us in for that day later on. She kept me posted on squeezing us in all day and was able to fit us in around 4 pm. Today was our first time using Advanced Plumbing, and I must say, we couldn't be happier with the service!
We had a pretty substantial leak in our hot water pipe just above the hot water heater and called and were able to get an appointment same day.
Now my husband and I are pretty leery of plumbers, mostly because you hear all of the horror stories about people being charged ridiculous amounts of money for things that never got fixed or didn't need to be fixed.
Ryan was the plumber that came out and we were pleasantly surprised. He was quick, got right to the point and was very personable!

We have used this company several times and have always been pleased with their service. They recently helped us during our kitchen remodel. We needed them to work on both water and gas lines. They are not very ethical. Ryan was our plumber. He didn't diagnose the problem but made me do a very expensive maintenance service (flushing a tankless water heater for about $400) which did nothing to fix the problem.
Update: After I posted my review, David contacted me. And he was here to isolate the real problem as to why the bathrooms were not getting hot water properly. We are working on it.

We had Advanced Plumbing come out to my mom's house after another plumbing company didn't fix her original problem (flushed wipes by a caregiver). The toilet never flushed after the other plumber said it was cleared and wouldn't come out again to fix it without charging my mom more money. After we got to my mom's we called Advanced due to their good Yelp reviews. They sent Daniel out. He listened to our explanations, asked questions and got to work. He tried a variety of things. He was so thoughtful and thorough in his diagnosis and what to try next. He eventually did come up with a big wad of wipes. We also had him install a new toilet as my mom's was ancient. My sister and I highly recommend them - especially Daniel.

Called Advanced Plumbing Service today about a bathroom sink leak. Very professional receptionist, Tina. As the house is a rental, we did not know the cause, just that it is leaking (drip drip) into the cabinet. They charge a $49 call out, which is fine.

When we got the call back from the plumber, Tony, we were told that the issue was a grout issue and not a plumbing issue, that needed some silicone repair and removing the faucet to re-silicone it, as it was too close to the back of the sink area. We were also given an option of replacing the whole counter, sink, and faucet, which we did not explore.

We asked for photos, which we promptly received. Six or seven of them!

On the photos of the sink, we could see that the faucet was up against the back of the sink, as there were calcium/lime lines along the front of the faucet, with a gap to where the faucet now sits.

The plumber told us he would have to go to Home Depot because he doesn't carry silicone. WHAT???!!! $$$$$ We we're told the job would be $315 or, at our question, a little less if he just siliconed around the faucet and where the grout might be causing the leak, but he did not recommend doing that.

We declined his services and paid the call out bill of $49. Make your own conclusions. We did.

We will add that the plumber was on site within 6 hours and was able to get the job done, if so instructed, today.

Look no further for any plumbing needs!! We could not get our stove/grill to work. I called them. Someone actually picked up the phone; I didn't have to l/m and wait for a c/best of all they came out the very next day. The kitchen sink at my parents had a leak and I called Advanced Plumbing and Daniel came same day and let us know the garbage disposal needed to be replaced. He was very, quick, clean and honest.

I'd used this company previously for a bathroom job at my old residence where they had to replace my toilets wax ring as well as resetting anchoring bolts in the ground to hold the toilet in place. They did a great job then so when my dog crashed into the spigot in my backyard and I needed to get into the wall to repair it I called Advanced Plumbing to come take a look. They were quick to get me scheduled and were able to get out next day. Their technician, Christian, who incidently was the same person who had fixed the toilet previously, was professional and quick to get the work done within the time he had estimated and the repair has held wonderfully ever since. I absolutely recommend giving these guys a call for any of your repair needs and similarly would recommend Christian individually regardless of the company he was working for. Great experience all around and I'll be calling them back when the need should arise.

The other company that I called earlier this week was disappointing, failed to fix the problem and the quote that they gave was outrageous. As I have stated on previous e-mails the problem I had was a leaky shower faucet and the removal of the shower handle knob. I was not home when they arrived and when they left. My wife gave me this information. There were two tech/plumbers that came to my house. They did not have shoe covers, so my wife had to provide them with each shoe covers. The only item they brought was a screwdriver held in one of the technician's pocket. They attempted to remove the handle knob with only a screwdriver. (Really!) I could go on explaining their futile attempt removing it. After which they concluded that the only way to service our problem is to knock out the drywall behind the shower of which was the actual bedroom wall. They were asking for over $475 for that service. And they will leave the wall with a hole. My wife told them to leave. That's when she called your company.
Today, your technician came to our house on G-----ly Street. I wasn't home when he arrived. My wife allowed him inside our home. He was actually earlier than the time period between the hours of 12:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. of which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. I arrived in time to see what he was doing. He had all his tools in a carrying case and he was wearing his own shoe covers! My wife was happy to see that. He explained in detail what he was doing and the parts that he will be replacing. He did have a difficult time removing the shower knob due to hard water deposit. But in the end, he was able to fix the problem. And to top it off, since this was our first service call from your company, we were given a percentage off!

Advanced Plumbing was one of the closest highly rated plumbers in my area on Yelp. I was about 99% sure I had a slow leak and that it was getting to the point it needed to be fixed before damage was done. I called the business right at closing time. They utilize an answering service so they have someone answer always in case of emergency call outs. Sometimes answering services are a little rough to deal with, I figured since mine wasn't an emergency it would be a call back tomorrow deal, but they happily offered to book me an appointment for the next day.

The appointments are in a 2 hour window which is nice that you aren't waiting around all day. The next day, we had our plumber arrive just a few minutes after the window. I showed him the spot I figured there was a leak and he was in agreement. He gave me a range of what costs may be like depending on what he found when he got up in the attic and we agreed. I figured it would be another appointment to get it fixed, but he was like nope I'm ready to go! He climbed up and it didn't take too long to fix because it ended up being a small leak. He showed it to us on the phone but also, we got to see the leaky pipe evidence when he cut it out and brought it down to ground level after everything was fixed.

We were super pleased with service from start to finish on everything. I would easily recommend this company again to anyone needing a plumber in Bakersfield.

My husband and I thought that replacing the drain cover on our shower pan would be a quick fix, but nope. We ended up breaking off the entire piece, gasket and rubber guard. We couldn't use our shower since we could see straight down and around the entire pvc pipe! I was having the tankless water heater Advanced put in years ago drained for the first time, and I also needed an outside dripping faucet replaced. Chris was at my house on time on a Monday morning and went right to work. I mentioned one of my bathroom sinks was draining slowly and maybe he needed to snake it. He said the cause is usually a drain plug covered in hair and gunk, and I could save money and clean it myself. Well, right then and there I went to the sink, followed all his directions, and what do you know...my plug was a gross mess. I cleaned it up, reconnected it, and it drained like it was brand new. I appreciate Advanced having such an honest professional like Chris on their team. All of his work was done efficiently and perfectly. Advanced will be the only plumber I use.

Our kitchen sink clogged and I tried everything on my end to clear it, drano, plunger, plumbing snake, with no luck. That clog must have been 50' down the line and locked in tight! Time to get the pros on it. I called Advanced Plumbing Service at 10 AM and they were able to send Chris over by 1PM! Chris was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and diligent. Very pleased with the service of Advanced Plumbing Service. I had called a few plumbers in the area to get estimates on work to be done, and advanced plumbing service was reasonably priced and Tina on the phone was very friendly. Their prices are based on each job not on an hourly basis they were reasonable, and Daniel, the service man, was a very affable friendly and knowledgeable individual. He gave me an idea of the cost and we agreed to go ahead with the job. Daniel showed up half hour into the window of two hours which is reasonable. Daniel finished quickly, cleanly and he asked me if there was anything else I needed. Transaction was very easy, was handled through an iPad device as I paid with a credit card. I would recommend them to others as my experience was very good.
The scope of the work was a clogged bathtub and a quote for installation of a tankless water heater, a replacement for a stolen one.

The Best! Prompt. Competent, Friendly, Super Service!

The kitchen sink in our law office was suddenly plugged up. We had used Advanced before, phoned, and they bent over backward to get us a plumber to come out. Daniel showed up, immediately diagnosed the problem, showed us rusted out pipes under the sink, replaced them, cleared the blockage, and the amount charged was very reasonable.

I needed to replace the pipes in the attic because they were galvanized and I had several leaks. I contacted 6 plumbing companies. 4 actually showed up and 2 were on time. One being advanced Plumbing And they were a thousand dollars cheaper. I can't say enough good things about advanced plumbing. They only had to cut one hole when other companies wanted to cut multiple holes. There was no mess and no trash left behind. They even put down material to protect my floors. Then finished early. I will only use Advanced Plumbing From now on.

I so badly wanted to give this company 5 Stars but....I called on Wednesday to set an appointment for Friday so I could take the day off and get my plumbing fixed. I was told that they would come by between 8-9am. I gave them my phone number so they could call me in case they were running late. I waited...and waited...and waited but they never showed up, never called...NOTHING!! Luckily a friend of mine had a contact with another plumbing company so I called them and they were at my house within an hour. Advanced Plumbing is right around the corner from my house so I wanted their service to work for me for future business but I won't waste my breath or time calling them for anything else in the future. They must be doing really well to not want to add more revenues to their books. Good luck with future business and I hope you don't treat other customers the same way.

$500 to do 1 hour of labor with about $25 of material. These guys are the definition of PRICE GOUGING. I was stuck with a leak that was flooding the place so I didn't have time to get someone else. They basically tell me that they fix it now and it's $500 or it can do more damage to foundation. I rarely ever do reviews but this should be called out for what it is.

I've been using Advanced Plumbling over the last five years with good results. Their work has been thorough and I like their price guarantee which ensures that customers aren't charged more than the original invoice. However, my last encounter with the company ended up badly. A serviceman came to the house to repair my hot water heater. He disassembled the top and got the unit to work after 30 minutes. Within a month however the unit wasn't working again. The new service technician noted that the top of the unit had not been reassembled properly by the previous worker, possibly leading to my current trouble.I ended up purchasing a new hot water heater from the company which was pricey. When the installers left, I noted that the overflow pan at the bottom of the unit didn't fit in the closet where my hot water heater is housed. The installers simply slammed the door shut 'til the pan was dented enough to partially close the closet door. The job looks terrible, the quality of the installation was poor and I'm no longer using Advanced Plumbing! How sad is that? Whatever happened to professionalism?

Hello!

The week leading up to Christmas, our hot water heater went out due to a leak and had to be replaced.

We called Advanced Plumbing and Daniel arrived to check and replace the hot water heater.

Regarding service performed by Daniel on 12-20, I was extremely satisfied.

Daniel took the time to give us exact cost up front and all work he would be performing to bring everything up to code.

While Daniel was here replacing our hot water heater, my husband asked me to ask Daniel if he could fix our shower and sink faucets as well.

I did as such, Daniel checked, said he had the parts on his truck to fix the shower and sink and he did so.

Daniel also explained the yearly maintenance membership service including the coverage details, the cost, offered it to us, we accepted and received paperwork in the mail.

I also received a follow-up text ensuring we were satisfied with the service and offered the maintenance plan.

This platinum service, courtesy, knowledge and professionalism provided by Daniel and Advanced Plumbing is beyond anything I have ever experienced from any company.

I must say, it is very rare in any business nowadays to find good customer service from employees of any age, but the impeccable platinum service and professionalism provided by Daniel far outweighs this young man's years.

When I set the appointment my address was verified. After setting the appointment I requested the day off and then the morning of the call I have to find someone else to repair the plumbing at my house. The service was good and they get it done, but the price was high ($250) than what I usually pay the other company ($75) for the same job. It was 3x the rate. Advanced has always handled our plumbing needs with rapid response times, professionalism, quality of service, fair pricing and dependability. Over the years we've had Advanced install a water heater, a kitchen faucet, repair a leaky bathtub valve, repair several pinhole leaks and most recently complete a total repipe. The crew adhered to the timeline just as described in the bid, always available to answer questions and communicate the day's progress. They were careful to cover the floors when working throughout the house and very conscientious at the end of each work day to clean up, put up and vacuum as much loose debris as possible. Throughout the 3 days of repiping we were conveniently never completely without water at night. When it came time to drywall, we were equally pleased with the results. In hindsight, I wish painting the drywall patches had been included in the original bid. We are still left to prime and paint about 15 areas of drywall, which was explained to us in the original bid, but didn't sound too bad at the time. Yes, we were definitely informed, but it still feels like we have a lot to do to get back to normal. We would have gladly paid the extra to have it included as an option instead of being left to deal with it ourselves, but again, we were informed up front and we agreed.
A big thank you to Tony, Chris, Archie aka Cuz, Ernie, Tina, David and Jim for treating us with kindness and care and making the whole job as painless as possible. We appreciate you!!

I got two ridiculously overpriced options and was told there's a charge of $49. Not only was I not told that when I booked the appointment, but he did nothing but up sell. They did a lot of work on our kitchen remodel, but in one area, one of their workers did a sloppy job, so the owner sent a second employee out to repair his mistake. Upon leaving, I was given a receipt for the second worker. I'd already paid the first, so I refused to pay twice for the same job that was botched by their employee. First of all I was really Leery about calling a plumber tired of always getting burned and ripped off. I'm more of a do it myself so I know it's done right kind of a guy. But with a broken leg makes things a little harder. So fine call in the professionals.
Daniel came right out. immediately I could tell he was trying to charge me fairly for the service. Very professional had a pricing chart very clear to understand.
I have an older home with no clean out access.
He and I both agreed that the job was going to be hard to impossible. He went on the roof try to unplug the clog not able to do so which was expected. He didn't give up went through The toilet flange inside and was able to get the clog.
We discussed future plans to replace my old decaying plumbing line being that the house was built in the 60s.
I'll tell you what this guy went above and beyond but most of all I felt that I was not going to be Took in a vantage of.
And to me it's not about what it cost but I'm more afraid of getting ripped off. Can honestly say it didn't happen today thank you again Daniel

I heard good reviews about this company. When I went to call to have them come out to give me an estimate they wanted to charge me $30. I asked them if I hired them if the $30 would then be applied to my balance and they said no. They said the $30 is to pay for their gas to drive to my house that is located in Bakersfield to give me an estimate. You just lost a potential customer because I am not paying you $30 just to have you drive to my house. If I chose not to use your company I would understand paying the $30 but to tell me that you would not apply that to my bill is a bad decision on your part. There are a lot of other plumbing companies in town.
