Best Gas Furnace Repair in Austin TX
I was hesitant to call one of the big firms, as I have had bad experiences before (NOT with Stan's Heating and Air Conditioning) but did so out of necessity. My inside ac unit was sitting in 1/4 of water. I was thrilled with Stan's Heating & Air. They came out quickly and the technician, Benji, was very knowledgeable and exactly the kind of person you want taking care of you. My problem was resolved, cleaned up after and other potential problems were taken care of efficiently. I will not ever call anyone else and certainly won't hesitate to use them again.

After contacting a handful of plumbers, we chose Honest because they could come the soonest -- four days. Our two master bath sinks were backing up and it was an easy fix with a powerful auger. Tom also ran a camera in the pipe to make sure there weren't any other issues. He was very friendly and answered all my questions thoroughly. The job took maybe 45 minutes. Four stars because I think $250 is a little steep for this job. Maybe that's the going rate, but it seems a little ridiculous.

I had Daniel's Plumbing out again, and I'm pleased to say they did an excellent job (again!). It was a pinhole leak in the wall, and while they were out here, I asked them to install a new shower valve. The first team ran into a couple of roadblocks. The next day Mike L. showed up and did a beautiful and expert job of finishing the leak repair and the shower install! I highly recommend this company and would cheerfully use them for any plumbing project. My name is Walter Stewart, I'm a real person, nobody asked me to write this review, and I don't know any of their people. I can be reached directly at 512-402-9522 to vouch for this review.

I called took out service contract. Appointment for 12-6 . At 5:15 I called to ask where was the tech. He was still in Austin. I cancelled due to traffic and being Friday he wouldn't have arrived until 6:30 or later. Reschedule for 8/12 following Monday. Called at 11:15 to be told I was not on the schedule then told I was. I could not get a straight answer about my morning scheduled visit. Asked for a manager repeatedly Told they were helping other people with problems. I couldn't even get the person to admit my time of appointment had been dropped again . They charged my card for the service contract and so far haven't provided service once when they said they would. Three hours later and no return call from a manager. When I called in I was told they'd have send another email to a manager. I asked them to cancel the service contract, they have to send an email to billing to request it. This has been horrible customer service. The people who field the calls talk in a circle over and over. I would not recommend this company to anyone .

The first cold front of the season and on a Saturday, thank you Parobek for a quick response to our heater not coming on, and a special thank you to your tech Eugene for his professional and friendly care. Eugene was extremely helpful, explained everything in depth, and got the heat working quickly. We would highly recommend Parobek and Eugene and we look forward to partnering with them for future preventative measures.
Sincerely,
The Boyers.

And the prize for most unethical service company in Austin goes to........
The lawn care service is fine and dandy. Competitive pricing (I've checked), reliable service, responsive to questions or desires for change in process. Beware however, because this commercial services group employs highly unethical practices and will flat out lie to you.......
Recently, we needed service for our A/C. It's July, in Texas and we REALLY needed service.
The first thing that struck me -- they're available 24/7 and they have service tiers. You can pay extra for weekend service, as well as quicker service. The A/C went on the fritz Friday evening. Having them come out on Monday was going to be an extra $135. So, we opted for the Tuesday morning slot between 9-12, because the unit would go off and come back on. Intermittent isn't off so why not?
By Monday morning, it was simply off all the time. Calling to reschedule for that day, we were happy to pay $135 extra for a technician to be there at 6. The only problem--by 9 p.m. he hadn't shown. We called--and yes, we were next, but he still wasn't finished with the job ahead of us.
So, we were promised we'd be the first call on Tuesday morning and spent a restless, miserable night with no A/C.
Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., no technician. So we call and are told they're out on their first call, you're scheduled to be number two. You should see someone by 11a.m. So, we were to be first, but now we're not? (We had to wonder if someone else paid a premium to be bumped ahead of us) At this point we begin calling other companies because we're not THAT stupid, but no one can come before Thursday......
Finally, at 2 p.m., the technician shows up and figures out the electrical contact is fried. Fixed in under 45 minutes, and costs below $200. But we didn't even get the 9-12 service we were originally promised and the technician confirmed for us we were his third call of the day.
So, the technician was an ACE but the company hires or encourages liars. We simply won't use them again. And frankly, we're going to fire the yard guys too. We just won't do business with them anymore.

Water, water, everywhere. Who ya gonna call? Texas AC Specialist!
My condensation pump on my AC unit went out. I had water on the floor in my house and my AC wouldn't run at all. And of course, that had to happen during the hottest week in Austin history in forever. I called at 9:30AM and they could have someone at my house by 11AM! Who does that any more?
Don arrived and immediately assessed the problem. I needed a new pump. The quote wasn't outrageous, but I'd gotten laid off two days before, so he got the quote lowered for me AND they let me use the 10% off coupon.
When he came back with the pump, we talked while he installed. He was very personable, professional, and courteous. He told me that he really likes working for Texas AC and that they take care of their employees.
I believe a happy employee makes for a much better employee, hence all the great reviews on Yelp. I'm not sure who's in charge at Texas AC, but great job. Whatever kind of environment you create for your employees flows down to the excellent service they provide.
And kudos to Ashley, who I spoke to on the phone a couple of times. She was so kind and cheerful, and her voice was filled with such sunshine that it helped brighten my spirits in spite of all the crap I'd been hit with this week.
Now my house is cool again, and I'm writing this review on Yelp in the hope that others will call Texas AC and have an experience as good as mine. I don't think you'll regret it. (And don't forget to mention Yelp for the $65 free service call.)

SALT sent a technician who installed a single plug and on/off switch (connected to another plug about 12 inches away). He was very nice and professional and did a good job. However, we were shocked when he finished (in about an hour) and said that the cost would be $689! We knew there was a $79 'show up' fee (fair) and that it would likely cost $200 or so......but how they justify over $500 for a fairly simple task is beyond me. We did go ahead because I had two other technicians already booked that afternoon who needed the electrical outlets to be in place. But...I will NEVER use this service again. I have talked with several electricians in our area who were similarly surprised by the fee.

Kyle came out on Monday after calling Radiant needing someone to come out the same afternoon, due to a time sensitive issue. They were not sure if they were going to be able to get to my house until the next day. The office called back and said they got someone to come out in about 30 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and definitely took his time to make sure everything was done right, not just a fast fix. We couldn't recommend Radiant Pluming more and really want to extend our gratitude to Kyle for his service!

Awful company that has no integrity or want to do right by their customers. I just spent $5,000 on a new HVAC SYSTEM 2 months ago. TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH!!! We discussed that I keep my home at 68-70 degrees and they recommended a certain unit. The unit never cooled my home sufficiently. I had to call them out 5 times and every time I got a different explanation for why it wasn't working then they switched out my thermostat to a thermostat that they can run tests on.... still no follow up or a reasonable explanation for why my house would never cool to 70 degrees.... I can't even get it below 75 degrees until 2:00 am when outside has cooled down. This has been going on for 2 months now and they finally told me that there is nothing they can do about it and that it acceptable for the unit not to be able to cool to 70.... they said their guidelines is that as long as the HVAC cools the home down to within 25 degrees outside then it is working properly. And then they basically told me that if I wanted to cool my home down to 70 degrees that I'd have to pay for them to install a bigger unit that would cost $2k more on top of the $5k I already paid. Then they didn't even have the decency to come out and take their test thermostat back and put my nest thermostat back on the wall..... the test thermostat is still on my wall! These people do not care about their clients and they gave me the run around for 2 min ya before basically telling me f*** off. Now I am going to have to speak to the manufacturer of my unit to try to get help. I am contacting the better business bureau. And if nothing helps I will be contacting my lawyer. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!!!

To say rip off is an under statment. I called them to come out to fix my unit. They told me 8-12. At 2pm I called and supprise I was next. After getting the call it was another hour. Upon my protest they did knock off the 30 dollar service call. He diagnosed my problem as being a leak in the compressor. This was a full warranty part. After taking what seemed like an hour of sitting in his van, he came back with an estimate of over 2,200 dollars to replace the compressor. 400 dollars alone for 6 lbs of colant. Mind you the entire unit cost me less than that 2 years ago when i had it installed. I found another company that came out and replaced it for 300 and 100 for the coolant. I find it discraceful that they take advantage of people in a bad situation by alluring them with low monthly payments. Pass them up in my opinion.

I have been trying to get a quote for over a week now with no success. I had Elmer's out to inspect our ac, ducts and attic area. They came highly recommended by a family member and I was ready to give them my business. They came out and after going over what they found with my husband and I, my husband stated he had to jump on a call for work. The gentlemen said he'd want to set up another time to come back and discuss the options with both of us. My husband stated to simply give me the information and I would relay the details to him. For some reason the gentlemen insisted he come back and we set up ANOTHER time to come back. I simply did this to appease him. It is very hard to schedule something that works for both of us. And I have just as much pull in making the decisions regarding financial decisions for the home. I have called 5 times telling them to simply send me a quote for the middle of the line option, each time they state they will send me a quote. No quote yet and will definitely not be doing any business with them. Very disappointed that they are holding a quote hostage simply for the opportunity to upsell me.
