Best Gas Furnace Repair in Austin TX

Very, very disappointed in customer service!! 5 years ago we installed a new downstairs unit while remodeling our kitchen. We just had the motor go out 5 years and 4 months later. Had two companies come out to give us an estimate and tell us that the parts should be covered under 5 year warranty and definitely under 10 year if Stan's registered it. Called Stan's to find out that they never registered our unit therefore nothing would be covered. The other companies were appalled saying that it takes them 5 minutes and they do it for all of their customers. Called Stan's back only to be told that they do it now as a courtesy knowing past customers were unhappy. Really?? I asked if they would help us out with the install or possibly give us the part at their cost. All I received from warranty and customer service was a SORRY! They also admitted that the units rarely last more than 5 years. How convenient! Knowing this, they intentionally do not protect their customers by registering units to give them 10 years of warranty. Try Wansley for any A/C units or service in the future. They are honest and look out for best interest of their customers.

Rick and Ray came over to do the spring checkup on my condenser. They have a checklist of what got serviced and cleaned.

Rick and Ray called before arriving and wore shoe covers before entering the house. Rick and Ray were very respectful. Always knocked before entering and asked questions when uncertain.

They were very knowledgeable on AprilAire filters and knew how to flip them out.

I look forward to having Rick and Ray service my furnace in the fall. Highly recommend Rick and Ray to anyone looking for service to be done on their HVAC system.

Christophert Luckett installed a new pressure reduction valve and a water softener system today. I've always wanted a water softener system because of the hard Austin water. One other thing is I've wanted to be able to shut off the water to my house without having to go to the curb in addition that didn't also cut off the functioning of my sprinkler system. The water softener comes with a house shut-off valve inside the garage. It lets me shut off water to the house without affecting the function of my sprinkler system. He was very professional, answered all my questions and didn't mind me watching the installation process. He and his helper did a great job and explained how everything works. Job well done!

Update:  Fox did the right thing and called (once seeing the previous review) and refunded my money.  I appreciated that they did that.

I called Parobek Plumbing to handle my stopped up kitchen sink, and several other issues I had been putting off. Holly scheduled my appointment for the following day, because the 1st freeze had hit and they were swamped. David and Lea actually showed up later than my scheduled time, but were very apologetic about the delay caused by complications in their previous job. Once here, David immediately went to evaluating my to do list. He was very concerned about making sure I knew the cost of each job on my list. Once I had approved the two jobs...unclogging the master bathroom sink as well as the kitchen sink, and stopping the front shower leak, they immediately went to work. They were extremely conscientious of keeping my house clean...donning shoe covers, supplying their own cleaning supplies (paper towels, rags, etc).
 David and Lee were extremely polite and professional.

***Update*** I had someone else contact me on 8/19 and they were able to perform the gutter cleaning today. I'm glad that they were able to resolve the issue before the weekend after I was initially told it would not be possible to have the work performed today.

Bottom line is that you should never do business with a company that wants payment before performing a service. My credit card was charged on 8/10 and they were supposed to come out to my home to perform a gutter cleaning on 8/18. Received a voicemail on 8/18 stating they had someone out and rescheduled my appointment for Saturday. I would not have went with this company had they provided any expectation on how long it would take to get someone out to my home. I would have also expected someone to be at my home the following day not three days after the original appointment date. This is the second time I received the runaround with this company regarding a service appointment. Now I need to find another company to take care of the gutter cleaning.

These people are wonderful! The day after my mom's husband passed away she had a plumbing issue. They were out here on a weekend, did an amazing job, and were so friendly and efficient.  These are the people to call when you need good quality work done!!

These folks were Lifesavers!! When our AC went out, they sent someone out the same day to give us a quote. We had 2 options--either major surgery/full replacement, or a Band-Aid repair. When we let them know we could currently only afford the Band-Aid, they were still just as cheerful and helpful. Matt, the technician who came to do the work, was WONDERFUL. Very friendly, kind, and efficient. He was even nice to our attention-seeking dog!
He worked quickly, answered all our questions, and even made sure that things were cooling well before he left.
Communication between office and field was seamless, which also helped make things easier for us. We will definitely keep this company in mind when it comes time for our full replacement!

Ken and Tommy were excellent to work with. Their professionalism, expertise, and kindness are a wonderful representation of your company. They installed a new doorbell and home surge protection.  I went with this company because of the positive reviews I had read on my community's facebook page. When I went through Home Advisor, your company is the one they recommended.

My A/C is not blowing cool air and Christianson told me the compressor is out. Since it is installed in less than 10 years, the compressor is still under warranty. However, I got a $1800 quote from the company to have the compressor replaced, in addition to more than $200 I paid for their first visit. This is ridiculous since this cost is much higher than replacing it without warranty.

I called this service to fix the hot water heater for the business I work at. I was sold at first because they charge a flat rate for the work, rather getting charged by the hour. I have had plumbers come out before and told me it was going to take no time at all, and it ended up taking 6 hours at a zillion dollars per hour-- so I thought this approach best. I agreed to the $40 to have them come out. Man, a waste of money. A nice enough guy came that very afternoon, which was nice. He diagnosed the problem in about 3 seconds and then told me he would make some calls and come and find me when he knew more. After about a half hour I went looking for him, thinking maybe he left. He came into my office about ten minutes later with a sheet of paper with options ranging from a 'band-aid option' to a the super special wow package. Every option had a service agreement with a price. I was pretty furious. Obviously, all i needed was the 'band-aid option' for the water heater, but this form made me feel like somehow I was making a mistake. And if the diagnosis was simply for a $450 part why was he quoting me for a $6,000 water heater? It was like the pinnacle of upselling. Personally, I hate being sold something I don't need. He told me it was going to take him 45 minutes to install and that he didn't know the cost of the part. Oh, and it was going to take 3 days to fix.

I paid the $40.00 and let him go. I called another local guy and he told me the part was only $45.00 dollars and he could have it done in 20 minutes. Including labor I got the job done for half, using someone else.

Not satisfied with 1st Home & Commercial Services! They came out to do a simple job of replacing our shower faucets. We had been having problems with the handles not turning and knew they needed replacing. Due to time constraints(us leaving the next day on sabbatical) we had to have them replaced that day. The technician went to Home Depot to get the $50-$60 kits and had the job completed start to finish in an hour. We were charged $1200 for the job. Crazy that it could even cost that much. Basically $1000 for an hour of labor. Then we had to have him come back because he did not apply a seal. While we were away I had emailed them( no cell service for a month) about a problem with the installation and never heard back from them. We have moved on to a company we really like and can rely on with honest pricing and quality work.

I highly recommend Dayton A/C for install and maintenance. Coy and his crew put in a new system and they maintain it as well. The office staff, Jessica and Melissa, have been very responsive with our requests.  We had an emergency on a Sunday and Coy had Javier out to fix it. It is nice to know that we have a company we can rely on. This is an honest, reliable and reputable company.

UPDATE:  Do you know that annoying message that says the call may be recorded for quality assurance.  Well, to Mr. R's credit, he used them to verify my side of the story, researched to find my name and contact info, contacted me personally and apologized.  He also assured me he would deal with the situation personally.  Very nice touch!

Based on our conversation, I will upped my rating and will definitely consider using them if/when I need their services.  As I told him on the phone, I hope that's not for a very long time!  LOL

I cannot say enough positive things about the business Elmer conducts. I am not paid nor did I receive any discount or privileges for this review. While I do not know everything about HVAC I do work in the electrical and telecommunications industries. I can say without a doubt that the technical evaluation of my (young) 7 year old system was spot on. Homeowners should understand that big home builders cut costs where inspections lack. With that said it is possible that a new system is inadequate for the space it provides for. Joseph Munera did make recommendations outside of our initial requests however it was an honest evaluation with severity identified. We have taken them up on ALL repairs and upgrades they recommended as we also understand the harsh heat of summer can also reduce the lifespan of units. The manners this technician had were stellar and rarely seen in the work force today. I thank Elmer and his company for providing such a respectable technician and a lasting experience. As far as my family and I are concerned; there is no better AC and heating company in the San Antonio Area. Thank you
