Best Electric Furnace Repair in Austin TX

We have been a customer with Stan's for 4 years. Prior to that we had very unhappy experience with another company. We signed up with their Gold plan, which has been a lifesaver. Our house took a lightening strike which knocked out our system, and since that time, we've had Stan's out to do regular checkups and the occasional repair. Each and every time, we called for service - they were able to come same day, usually within a few hours of the call and resolved the problem. Tonite was no different. Our AC fan just stopped working and the house quickly heated up. We called Stan's and Andrew, who happened to be the tech that repaired our system after the lightening strike and is seriously one of their most knowledgable techs, was here within the hour. Not 20 minutes later, he had already inspected the system, determined the problem and made the repair, and thankfully, our house is cool again. And did I mention this happened at 9:30pm? Can't recommend them more highly, for professionalism, response time, efficiency and most importantly communication. These guys are great!

Honest AC was the best bid for our HVAC replacement in March 2017 and the installation of our 5 ton  system went off without a hitch.

They havebeen out twice since.  Once in July 2017 for a blower replacement (we didn't replace the furnace and it's not the first time we've had a problem with the blower going out on this Carrier )  and again this weekend when our HVAC froze up.    

The freeze up was our fault as we'd been lazy with changing filters.  We got home at 11pm at night and I left a message for the next day as I knew nothing could be done if it's frozen.  I turned off the AC and ran the fan until I woke up at 4am and the system came back on.  By the time Honest AC called at 8am the house was cool.  Chris told me the price difference between coming out ASAP or coming out Monday.  It was only about a $40 difference so I asked him to come out that morning for peace of mind.   He came by around 10am and did a very thorough check of the system to make sure there weren't any other contributing factors.

So after 1 installation visit and 2 service visits I feel very confident recommending this company.

I had a small kitchen faucet leak. I called other plumbing companies who couldn't resolve the issue. Finally I set an appt with Daniel's Plumbing, technician Carlos was most informative and professional and handle our issue within the first 30min. Will definitely call Carlos back if any other issues arrive.

We had our outside water spicket crack at the seam because we were trying to remove our hose. The soft copper and us messing with it caused the crack. They sent Shawn to fix it and he was awesome! My mother has cognitive issues and likes to talk to people, so she talked his ear off and he never complained and never got snippy with her. He was a great sport and did a beautiful job!
We've had a few of their plumbers come out and they are all respectful, kind and all around awesome people! We highly recommend Fox for any plumbing issue!

Very friendly, efficient people, attentive to all problems mentioned and prompt to accommodate their customers. They were very quick at pointing out some minor problems to us that could lead eventually to major problems. We will be using them again very soon to upgrade our bathrooms. We have been using ABC for about 4 years now.  We contract for pest control services and also use ABC for AC/HVAC service/repair.  We have been satisfied for the most part, although nothing to rave about.  The pests are pretty much under control, and the AC/HVAC services so far have been handled by very competent technicians.  Haven't used ABC for lawn/landscaping services or electrical work.  We received a quote once to trim/remove some trees and their quote was much higher than others we received.  ABC is no bargain from a cost perspective, and we definitely continue to shop around.  But for pest control and AC/HVAC services, they seem to be competitive and we are happy enough with the services provided.

Lantz's has a fantastic team of technicians and their customer service is amazing. We never have a problem getting an appointment and the technicians are always professional.  We've worked with Lantz's team three different times and never had a bad experience. You've made a customer for life!

We were impressed and grateful for Texas Air Conditioning Specialist!  We were having problems with our A/C last Saturday night.  They were able to come out to our house on a Saturday night at 9pm! (during a UT football game)  The needed part was replaced and our A/C was fixed in no time for a reasonable price.  We would definitely use them again.

Should have checked YELP first! Be cautious to not be misled. I was told on the phone that you pay by project and not by hourly or materials along with separate trip charge. I was good with it. Gentlemen showed up, I explained the problem that the oven hood light kept shorting and one wasn't working. They quoted me a price to fix...half way through they showed me problem was that the light units had some issues but then told me the quote didn't include the parts to actually fix the problem. I said the reason I signed off on the project was everything should be working when completed. I even tried to give them a win-win solution by asking for trip charge refund and would pay the separate quote which was higher than trip charge. Their sales manager refused...so to yelp it is and any other social media forum to educate people to not to trust what their appointment person says.

They are supposed to be air conditioning company but I've been sweating for almost two months now in my new home. Stay away from them!

I used them to fix a water main issue with a rental property I own.  Their first quote was outrageous, and even after talking them down they were still the most expensive quote I got.  They also wanted to take a brute force approach to everything they did.  They were able to take care of my issue within an acceptable timeframe, but seeing the work that was actually done, I still can't help but think I was gouged.

They seem to take advantage of the fact that plumbing issues are true emergencies, because we all must have running water and flushing toilets at any cost.

Other plumbers will be cheaper and do as good as or better work.  These guys just offer the promise of getting it done somewhat quickly.

Spoke to Doug this morning about a plumbing problem and he had someone available within hours of my call.  He was great about helping me to translate the issue I was having in my bathroom with appropriate humor, which I appreciated.  Dan came out and we think he solved the problem.  He was very informative about what could be wrong and replaced the part within minutes.  I am very satisfied.  Definitely recommend them!

Josh Turner is the best ever. My AC went out and he called me prior to arrival and I explained what was going on. He was able to diagnose what the issue was OVER the phone. His experience, professionalism, and honesty are character traits not found now days. When he arrived he did the full troubleshooting and he was exactly right about my issue. He also offered insight on indoor air purification because we have 3 dogs and we all have allergies. He practiced all safety measures related to COVID-19 by wearing a mask, gloves, and and social distancing. I highly recommended this company and Mr. Turner for his expertise.

On the day we paid for the foam insulation, we had the representative add to his notes that the attic had rat traps.

The Pest Company, for $180, had just set the traps.

The representative added it to the notes that the traps should be set aside.

On the day of installation, the installers were reminded about the traps. They said, yes they saw it in the notes.

The insulation was installed, and we had the Pest Company come out again to install wire over the vents and reset the traps, which he could not do because:

The rat traps were missing
The vents were covered with foam

We asked Jon, the son of the owner, to come out. He admitted that they made a mistake and offered to send a check for $145 (the Pest Company offered a reduced price to set out new traps.)

This was on 02/14/19. We contacted Jon, via email, on 02/25/19. No response and no check even though in a previous email he said he would send one out that week.

Later, the house began to smell of rat.

Called the Pest Company again. The employee went up to the attic, located the smell but could not get through the foam insulation in order to get the trap and the rat.
Needless to say, this was a very disappointing experience.

We like to find companies and use them again for other projects.

For anyone reading this review, I cannot recommend this company due to the quality of work, and the check and response that were never received.

I wish I had read these reviews before we scheduled their $59 special. Wanted to believe Elmers company was honest like he says on the TV ads.  Elmer's does not care about helping customers and only offer overpriced repair services.   Beware, this company uses unethical technicians and sales guys that use dishonest tactics. Use fear and manipulation to try and pressure you into paying for a whole new system. They went to my 80 year old parents to troubleshoot a fan noise on their working AC system  for the $59 dollar special. They took lots of pictures of what they said were other serious  issues that needed repair.  Then a sales guy shows up and went on to explain all the company's background and lots of sales pitches of how great the company is and how honest they are etc... etc...  taking soo long all the while we are sitting in a hot house because they had turned off the working system for the troubleshooting.  I felt like we were being tortured with heat and all the BS this guy was saying.  I asked them to turn on our system and they said they had not connected it back since it was having issues.  I insisted if we were going to be forced to a long sales pitch.  So they said they plugged back all connections. One technician went outside while one stayed with the sales guy.   In the end when we did not pick their most expensive fixes of total AC replacement $36K , or  to fixing the old system with all the issues they found $5K , they proceeded to have a bandaid fix for the original issue we called them for $540.  My parents needed the AC fixed so they choose the band aid, only to be told the part had to be ordered and it would take 7 days.  They also proceeded to strongly advise against us using the previous working system until they came back to fix the noisy blower fan.    Shortly after they left my parents system completely stopped working.  We strongly believe the guy who went outside  did something to it to force my elderly parents to replace the whole system.  We cancelled the repair that very night and made sure we reported them to our credit card to stop payment.  We had to call another company in the morning and  they were able to fix the noisy blower fan for under $250 within an hour and were able to get our air compressor back up.  Elmers company is despicable!!
