Best A/C Repair in Austin TX
Way too expensive, almost $ 300 for simple pipe draining, 20 minute job. Fellow had quoted $ 150 for the first hour on the phone but then added machinery cost and chemicals. Big rip off.

Our very old water heater began leaking so I checked my neighborhood FB page for recommendations. Proven Plumbing came highly recommended, so I did a quick Yelp! search & requested a quote. Response was quick & Skylar was out to give a quote within hours. Pricing was very competitive & they were able to come out the next day to do the replacement. Skylar was prompt & he & his partner worked quickly & did a great job. I'm so happy to have hot water again!

I've called this company 3x over the past 2 years. Every time I call I'm told they are 1 or more weeks out before they can even look at the service need.
He also doesn't call back or respond to message.i had to call him again. Nice when you talk to him but you probably can't easily hire him.

I had Rooter-Man out not quite a year ago to replace a water heater, they did a great job over Memorial Day weekend. When I woke up to no hot water I again gave them a call. Curtis came out on Sunday, replaced the thermocouple and got it up and running again. Curtis was great answering my question and I really appreciate that he came out on Sunday!

UPDATE:
I need to respond to each point this company has made:
1. Our owner has reached out to you multiple times to discuss with no return call.
REPLY: Correct, there is nothing to discuss. When you are hired that is when you have an opportunity to discuss, not afterwards. I don't need to talk to anyone now. Nothing left to say.
2. We do not sell certain versions or old models based off of stock. We purchase directly from a local supplier. The model offered is not an older model. I'm afraid there is confusion. What is the new version your referring to?
REPLY: You are incorrect. You offered me the Navien 240A, some plumbers and plumbing supply stores still have that old model. I wanted, and got, the Navien 240A2. This is the new version of the Navien 240A. Call Navien and get schooled if you need help on their products.
3. We would of been happy to break down your estimate, no problem. We do it all the time. Dispatch notified your technician (we have proof) but he was provided your work number and when we called they stated you no longer work there. We apologize typically our technicians call back promptly but this was an unfortunate situation. It was an honest mistake.
REPLY: You are being dishonest and trying to cover yourselves. We communicated by text, email and phone. You were well versed in how to get in touch with me not only by phone, but also text and email. If you dialed a work #, which I find impossible because I have not had a work # since 1998, you could have connected in other ways if you wanted to. I had to call in to you 3 times asking for the breakdown. Why you don't do that right up front is odd at a minimum, and dishonest at most. I shouldn't have to chase you to get the breakdown I asked for. You dropped the ball, dd not get back to me when you had multiple ways to do so, and left me without hot showers or the ability to use my dishwasher, for a long time.
4. Troubleshooting with the manufacturer is the most commonly used method for determining the issue. Had we not determined the unit needed to be replaced, another company would of and they would have charged for their time as well. They would of called the manufacturer too. It is the best practice. It is frustrating that the wait times are extremely long but that is NOT our fault and YES we do charge for our time. We do know what we are doing. Some issues we can solve right away and other times for more complex issue we need to go through the process of troubleshoot
REPLY: the plumber that eventually fixed everything did so immediately, with no need to hold on long hold times with the manufacturer, and also pointed out something else that you missed that needed to be fixed. I did not tell them what the problem was, I just asked them to come and look at the issue cold, to see if they performed any differently than you.
Sometimes we all make mistakes, but for some reason no one wants to admit to their mistakes. They spin, lie or make up stories. You dropped the ball, period. Take the bad review like an adult, and learn from it, and move on. You have lots of good reviews, hopefully you'll alter your methods and do better going forward, and this will just be a lesson learned.

Theo and his partner were very responsive. They came out within 2 hours of my call to assist with a tub leak. Was able to provide me an estimate as requested.

Great work from these guys! I had several quotes on the PRVs for my water line (too high pressure resulting in knocking at the water valves to my washing machine), A&T is half what the other guys quoted. They can give me a quote over the phone and doesn't do the we need to come out with a sale guy.
They come out literally two days later, with two guys working on the valve. They didn't mind that I stood there and asked questions. As they almost finished, they did end up encountered some new issues along the way (with roots and fittings) resulting in some leaking. So they just spent more time, undo everything, cut the roots, fix the fitting and working on it until it's done right. With all the unexpected issues like the root and redo needed, they gave me zero fuss.
Water pressure is good now, and no more knocking. I'm impressed.

This guy is great! He shows up punctually, and gets it done. He seems like a really nice fellow, too, on top of being competent and courteous.
I recently sold my refrigerator, and realized that there was a small leak in the connection between the ice machine valve and the pipe-- nothing big, but not something I'd want to have continuing. Dave came out and fixed it in just a few minutes.
Then, I asked if he could help me unhook my combo washer/dryer, and he helped with that, too. He unhooked the hoses and checked the connections to make sure they were in good shape while he was there. He even took the bathroom door off the hinges so we could get to it more easily!
I'd definitely call him again if I needed some work done.

Abel is a fantastic plumber. He was very responsive when I had a plumbing emergency and has been my go to plumber ever since. (Old house, what can I say?)

We had a garbage disposal that we thought needed to be replaced. We reached out late one evening and Braulio was able to come the next day. Thankfully our entire garbage disposal didn't need to be replaced and it was a quick fix. Braulio was extremely nice and helpful through the entire process and we will be using him now for all our plumbing leads.

Came across a small water leak on the main line coming into the house...I was happy to see that Jamie lives in my neighborhood, I mean...how much more local can you get...He showed up in about 30 minutes, gave me what I thought was a very fair quote and got to work...job was wrapped up in about 4-5 hours and was please with the whole process...Looks like we have a new Plumber that I wouldnt hesitate to call for my needs.

I used Jim at Republic Pipeworks to handle the gas line plumbing for my restaurant.
I can't say enough good things about Jim and his work. He is a Master Plumber in every sense. He was prompt, reliable and extremely knowledgeable. His pricing was very fair and his pride in his work in evident in the results. Jim also took the time to explain what he was planning prior to starting, answering all my questions to MY satisfaction every step of the way. Further, instead of plumbing everything simply as he saw as best, He took the time to present me with my options and advised me as to what he thought was the best course of action. I truly felt as a customer, I was a priority to him and he has earned my respect both as a customer and as a fellow businessman.
From now on, Republic Pipeworks will be the only company I trust to handle my commercial plumbing, as well as, the plumbing in my own home.

Very pleased with the service and the timeliness of the appointment. I needed help with duct work leading from my range vent hood and Bernie was knowledgeable and professional. He needed to be creative and implement a solution to a unique situation and handled it with ease.

Alexander Matej with Plumb Doctors is the best! He is super knowledgeable and extremely hard working. He installed a new toilet and two new faucets and replaced our old, broken shower handles. He was upfront about the cost and cleaned up everything afterwards. We are very happy with Alex's work and highly recommend Plumb Docors

This is the second time I have used Plumb & Order and both Wyatt and Kirk have been so so great. Each time they've been able to not just stop the problem, but full on fix the issue in the same day. They are friendly, educated, professional, and don't give you the runaround. I trust their expertise and especially as a woman homeowner, appreciate having a tradesperson I can trust.

Ted recently came out to meet us regarding some tankless water heater concerns that I had. He had performed extra research by calling a Rinnai tech before the visit and provided us with great information. Fortunately, we determined that nothing needed to be done at the time, but I will not hesitate to contact and refer Thunderbird for future plumbing needs!

So I don't know about this customer service other reviewers speak of. I called this company for bath fixture installation on Tuesday, nobody answered so I left a detailed message in the voice mail with the job description and my contact information. I heard nothing back so Wednesday evening i went to the company website and completed the contact request form, again with a detailed message and my contact information, still no response. I tend to give the benefit of the doubt more than i should and decided to try one more time using the yelp request quote which touts 2 hour response time at 100%, still no reply. So after 3 tries in 3 days I am finally giving up. I understand it may have been a small job and not worth their time, i get the weather was bad and they may have been busy but it doesn't take a whole lot of time to just make a quick call or respond to an email or quote request to say hey we are swamped and can't get to you.

Olvin was amazing! First off, he was so responsive answered all my questions rather quickly and was flexible since my countertops were a bit delayed. He was professional and polite. He and his assistant wore a mask and were very clean and neat while working. Additionally, I got multiple quotes and his was the most reasonable! I would totally recommend Olvin and will use him in future projects!

Scott did an amazing job with my leaking pipe in my garage. I messaged him at 11pm on Friday night and he responded in real-time and was able to come out the next day. He also helped me with trying to get me maximum coverage with my insurance and even gave me a discount when they didn't cover the repairs. 5/5 would recommend Scott again!

The British are plumbing!
The British are plumbing!
OK, so those of you who know me automatically know that Nick had the inside track based on his sense of humor alone.
I called Nick on a Saturday after my irrigation company and I identified an issue with a valve that could be affecting the efficiency of my sprinkler system. It wasn't an emergency, but I called and left a message for Nick on Saturday night, because it never hurts to get on any tradesman's list early.
Monday eve, whilst amid an after-hours call from a co-worker, I get this lovely call from a perfectly British Jolly Old St. Nick. He understood my problem from my phone message, and we made a date for Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Nick promised to call after 11:30. True to his word, he called shortly before noon to say he was on his way. He was at my residence within 45 minutes. To make a long story short, for a few minutes, it really was looking like a Hard Candy Christmas.
Nick took a couple of hours to work his magic with my plumbing. If you watch him work, you'll know this is one plumber who isn't using any other kind of pipe dope. When he's done, everything is tight, leak-free, and flows like a firehose.
Speaking of which, during the surgery, Nick had to repair a bit of the apparatus. Now, that might make most of you squeamish, but in this case, Nick simply tidied up an incredibly inefficient job done by my builder's plumbing subcontractor. I had always wondered why the washer took 15 minutes to fill, and why a flush of the guest loo caused my master bath shower to slow to a trickle. Nick solved my flow problem, so now the washer fills in 3 minutes and the master bath shower head actually makes you tingle on massage.
In short:
- Nick is the ultimate professional
- Nick returns phone calls
- Nick shows up on time
- Nick is serious about his plumbing--and yours
- Nick is funny as all get out
- Nick is not out to nick you
- Nick keeps his word.
Five stars seems a plumb pittance, wouldn't you say?
