Best Solar Water Heater Install… in Honolulu HI

We had two experiences with LBP - one was right after another incompetent contractor messed up plumbing in our bathroom. These guys were on-time, professional, and courtesy. They did really good work too. We kept their business card and would definitely call them again!

I had a simple problem. A clogged shower drain. I thought it was an easy fix. Scheduled an appointment for 8am. Technician shows up 20 minutes late. He spent an hour using a metal snake trying to fix my clog. No success. He called his boss for back up. They came, tried a stronger tool, broke their tool in my drain pipe, and couldn't fix the clog. I was still charged for the service. Then they quoted me a $2,300 charge to replace the P-trap and overflow drain pipes underneath the bathtub. I thought that was unnecessary, outrageous. I purchased a drain cleaner at a local store (pic below) and magically fixed my clogging issue!  

This company was incompetent at fixing a simple plumbing problem & also trying to quote me for unnecessary repair scam. Please shop around and don't fall for this.

Talk about response time and quality work!! So thankful I came across his company on Yelp. He's very responsive, detailed, professional and reliable. He responded to an emergency plumbing issue at one of my condos and was able to diagnose and take care of the repair the same day. I had another plumbing issue within the building with another unit and he made some adjustments to his schedule to accommodate some plumbing work needed. Within the last couple of weeks I've called him for plumbing repairs needed at my units and he's always been reliable and honest.

I'm looking forward to working with him with other repairs and or projects.

I called on 5/9/19 and a woman named Lindsey answered my call. I explained that we had a 5 foot long hole in our kitchen floor because my dad's friend who is a licensed contractor, was trying to find the underground leak in our hot water pipes. His method of finding the leak was to damage the tiles and concrete in our kitchen.  My dad's friend discovered that the pipes were old and needed to be replaced, and the only way was to reroute the pipes through the outside. He quoted the job to be MORE than $10,000.  I wanted a second opinion, which is why I called FULL SERVICE PLUMBING and asked Lindsey if we could schedule an estimate ASAP because we were going without hot water for over a week.  Lindsey contacted the owner, Jeff, and although they were fully booked, Jeff arrived at our house the following morning promptly at 7:00 am. because he knew it was an emergency.  Jeff was very knowledgeable and professional and, without adding more damage to our kitchen that now had a hole from my dad's friend, Jeff did an assessment and gave us an estimate... WOW!  his estimate was 1/4 the cost of the first guy's estimate!!!!!!
Talk about saving money!!!  I made sure that FULL SERVICE PLUMBING was legit by researching some reviews and verifying their license because I couldn't believe how reasonable they were!!!  I cancelled all other appointments I had with other plumbers for estimates because I immediately hired Jeff for the job.  On 5/15/19, Jeff put in new pipes which he rerouted on the outside and he also fixed 2 other leaks he found in our home.  He worked alone, was quick and neat, and was super humble.  Finding FULL SERVICE PLUMBING was a blessing sent from Heaven.  It's not easy to find people who just want to do a good job at a super reasonable price.  We hit the jackpot with this guy.  For sure, I will hire Jeff to do all of our plumbing work as needed in the future, and if I ever build a new home, he will definitely be the guy I'll call to do all of the plumbing work.  I am a very picky person when it comes to great service.. just read my other yelp reviews, and you'll see I'm very hard to please, but FULL SERVICE PLUMBING deserves 5 stars and a great review from me!!!

Great service at a great price! The electrician was on time, answered all of my questions and walked me through the installation process. I would absolutely recommend!

All the drains in the bathrooms were back flowing, and finding someone late Monday afternoon was a nightmare. They came, did a lot of assessing to find the problem. Then had to snake 75 feet, yikes. I would call them again and use them for all my plumbing needs.

So our shower head was leaking and leaking quite a bit, called leaks r us and got an appt by the next morning. Tim came out and did a great job. Not only professional but friendly and explained everything. I'll definitely use this business again!

I like to thank Drain Pro for installing hot water heater & replacement of water shut off valve. Office dispatch lady think her name was Steph friendly voice. On point when returning calls. Also Ryan who did installation for a young man very skilled easy to talk to. In today's world you never know how knowledgeable a worker can be I'll give Ryan five stars

Update: 2/27/19
The owner came out to address the issue and attempt to fix the system. They owner has great customer service. Hopefully he trains the rest of his employees. I will give 3 stars since the owner Calvin was excellent. Will wait to see if the system works better now.

They talked us into a propane setup that should be wonderful but has been nothing but headaches! Always doesn't work and now leaking gas from the tank! Called numerous times to complain about this setup since we got it and they always say they will follow up and get back to us but never do. Really not happy with the product and the service with this company.

We've called many plumbers in the past, but this is by far the best plumber we've ever called to service our place.  Servicemen (Troy) were extremely friendly, honest and made us feel comfortable. If you ever need to find plumber, we strongly recommend this company.

I recommend Mac's Plumbing to anyone who is looking for a good plumber on Oahu.
Mac's Plumbing installed a sub-meter for us so that we could save money on our water bill. This way we don't have to pay Hawaii sewer fees on our irrigation water.  Mac's Plumbing went out of their way to get all the paper work signed for us (several permit versions required by the City). Mac showed up on schedule, did a great job with the installation and was really nice!
I've tried several other local plumbing companies and I have to say, Mac's is by far the best!

Jack fixed our kitchen pipes in December 2019. I like him. This is his own business so he's invested in its success and doing good work. He's efficient, communicated clearly about what was needed and why, and charged fairly. I have more work I plan to use his company for in the coming months.

He also educated me about a better way shut-off valves should be installed for a dishwasher installation and the drainage function of an air-gap for the dishwasher. Mine didn't have one.

He knows his stuff and has years of experience. Support this family business.

I really do not recommend this company at all.  Like the review by James L. and others are saying, I concur that they were unprofessional, arrogant and rude.  Plus they have this outrageous pricing system where the customer pays a flat rate for EACH service such as drain cleaning would be one set charge no matter how small or close to the drain the clog was, and no matter how little time it took, and an additional added flat rate if they use a camera, and then added on top of that, a labor rate per hour.  Seemed like triple pricing for such a small job.  Then when I questioned how much it was for each of these potential services and how much for the hourly rate, they couldn't answer my question.  He went on, either you agree to pay whatever we charge or find another plumber.  I said, I do not think we have a meeting of the mind on this job.   I am afraid I will be given an enormous bill for a small job.  He went on, This is the way we run our business and if you don't agree, don't use us.   Seemed to me they were attempting to make a small, maybe 1-2 hour job into a big, double or triple unreasonably priced job.  And, most importantly, my attempts to reconcile my fears were met with rudeness, hostility and what seemed to me to be unprofessionalism.  Read the reviews; others saying the same thing.

Kamaaina Plumbing has been one of the most professional, competent and efficient businesses I have used on the island.  This is the 1st time to use them, for the installation of 2 new toilets purchased from Home Depot.  All the way from setting the date, the installer, and follow-up with the invoice showing paid, first rate.  As I read other reviews it was as it is two different companies.  I would MOST definitely call them for other plumbing needs and their list of services is quite complete.  I could have saved money if I had picked the toilets up fom HD myself, but for a variety of reasons, it was better for me to have K.P. do that. They asked if I needed pick-up and I said, Yes, please!.

Alex, the OWNER of the company so friendly over the phone and offered free estimate, but WHAT he was a NO SHOW shame on you!!! Don't talk highly about big projects you accomplished when you GHOSTS us with no response back even on text. You got my address so no hate and retaliate when it's your fault!

Their performance has been disappointing; I wanted a quote to perform some plumbing work related to two bathroom renovations...they charged me $52.36 to come out but even after repeated contacts they failed to submit a proposal or even call me back. A waste of time and money....

Got a decent quote from Jay.  Said he could be out between 7:30-8:00pm.  Great!  Asked for pics of my pipes, which I sent, then never heard from him again.  No, I can't make it tonight.  No Can I reschedule?  Just silence.  I even tried calling and he wouldn't answer the phone.  I could've spent that time finding a more reliable plumber.
